[7:45] the delays resulting from proven 19 and
[7:47] the associated impacts um we're
[7:49] requesting an extension of the use
[7:51] agreement
[7:52] with the new expiration date of december
[7:54] 30th 2022
[7:57] so we're looking for approval from the
[7:59] city council to amend this use agreement
[8:01] and i know we have representation from
[8:03] maryland creek street who can um i don't
[8:06] know ray if you just want to come up and
[8:08] speak a little bit about you know the
[8:10] progress and where the project is
[8:12] absolutely

[8:20] it's like a little bit of weird energy

[8:46] in preparation for the renovations of

[8:54] but we've uh gutted the interior we've
[8:57] got rid of both gym floors we've started
[8:59] paint scraping
[9:01] we've put a mural on the north side of
[9:03] the building
[9:05] we've done a school of landscaping
[9:07] reclaimed our playground space

[9:11] electricity on the panels are finally
[9:13] not on that's about nine months
[9:16] but we do have electricity on the
[9:17] building and we're just waiting for
[9:20] hvac ready and the plumbing

[10:31] uh previous grant that we
[10:33] can't use so there's been additional
[10:36] obstacles with that
[10:38] um and it's not like we've been sitting
[10:40] and not doing anything you know we've
[10:42] been reaching out and we're supposed to
[10:44] get support from todisco and sinabria
[10:47] and once said that if the other two
[10:50] uh you know matched us then they'll
[10:52] match and then the other two didn't
[10:53] agree so it's been a whirlwind bright
[10:56] family foundation we had several
[10:58] meetings with them to get support and
[11:00] they turned us down it's like
[11:02] someone's only waiting for someone else
[11:03] to support us in order to support us you
[11:05] know so
[11:07] and if i'm being transparent the most
[11:09] support that we have has been from
[11:12] uh
[11:13] people who have
[11:15] are like the most like
[11:17] unresourceful or
[11:19] have lack of resources which is
[11:21] faith-based community and hamilton hill

[11:25] the beautiful thing about our cleanups
[11:26] is different people always show up and
[11:29] those are the people who have been
[11:30] consistent

[11:39] we can get more resources

[12:47] challenging part is really having the
[12:49] money to do is because it's reimbursed buffalo brand

[14:40] our money then we still have to get the
[14:41] hvac and plumbing that the bidding and

[16:02] see the progress that we've done

[16:16] building and see all the work that's
[16:17] being done
[16:19] to prep for renovation that's one less
[16:21] thing that we'll have to worry about but
[16:22] the funds we need those you know money is

[16:31] accept the extension at this time and um
[16:44] you know sometimes they'll be able to
[16:46] help out it's kind of tough for the city
[16:48] at this point

[17:16] take my marathon proxy full time it's
[17:18] like i said from being quite frank i
[17:20] think it's important for us to have
[17:21] these transparent conversations if we

[17:25] didn't want to get ahead you know we
[17:27] want to see progress with this
[17:29] you know we met with the county
[17:31] uh and
[17:32] we've i can send you a list of email
[17:35] chains and just nothing you know what i
[17:37] mean and we thought that
[17:40] attaining ownership of the building
[17:42] would give us a leg up and
[17:45] um i don't know if for some reason uh
[17:48] we're still not being believed in even

[17:51] continue to do with being asked of us
[17:54] but we're just not getting the support

[17:56] anticipated like i said the most support

[18:31] principals have come out and supported

[18:41] coming out and supporting us
[18:47] has been incredible so
[18:49] i don't want you guys to think that we
[18:50] haven't been reaching out and

[18:53] searching for partners in collaboration
[18:55] but we've been doing nothing but that um
[18:57] like i said especially through the
[18:58] pandemic even with all the obstacles
[19:00] with the stopping of the attacking thing
[19:02] we still have been moving you know doing

[19:05] just to show uh proof that we're going
[19:08] to continue to move until the doors are

[19:16] um the loan fund is a potential partner

[19:19] had committed to a bridge loan tax

[19:24] waiting to see the full kind of

[19:30] that are so far in the future is what's
[19:32] you know been communicated to us so

[19:37] asking for the extension

[20:53] are partners on a lot of things mostly

[20:59] use so the legacy city access program is
[21:02] funded by the new york state budget
[21:04] through hcr
[21:05] to provide land banks with
[21:08] renovation uh funding for distressed one
[21:11] to three unit properties and this is to
[21:13] create home home ownership opportunities
[21:15] by partnering with local mwbe certified
[21:18] and or minority-owned developers so we
[21:21] have been working with the land bank to
[21:23] identify properties um you know given
[21:26] the the recent redevelopment in mount
[21:29] pleasant over 40 demolitions the orchard
[21:31] park expansion the wallingford park
[21:34] splash pad the new boys and girls club
[21:36] the libraries um the main street facade
[21:39] program there's been a lot of
[21:40] reinvestment in mount pleasant and we
[21:41] think that one of the that's one of the
[21:44] areas where this opportunity for
[21:46] homeownership can really help out in
[21:49] terms of just creating that
[21:50] stabilization in the neighborhood and
[21:52] dealing with some of the most difficult
[21:53] properties that are there um to really
[21:56] just try it and sort of infill and rehab
[21:58] um
[21:59] you know properties in that area so

[22:03] the land bank i don't know if you want
[22:04] to add yeah if you have any questions

[22:08] landing funding that we have in past has

[26:26] to be a factory slab with a metal bar

[26:33] be doing a lot of work in house once the
[26:35] shell is built so we're
[26:37] doing electrical in-house bringing it on
[26:38] our plumber's going to help out and then
[26:40] we're going to build within the shell so

[26:44] meantime it'll give us a large clean
[26:48] open area that's outside of the weather
[26:50] to keep our equipment in a lot of our
[26:51] equipment is being stored currently too

[30:43] our physical advisors that we have an
[30:45] opportunity to save approximately uh
[30:48] four million four point three million
[30:49] dollars over the next 16 years the
[30:51] average of of over 255 000 a year
[30:55] and uh if you looked at the uh when i
[30:57] had centuries look at angel one of
[31:00] the refunding highlights you would see
[31:03] what the total would be

[42:37] statue of liberty to see where it was in
[42:39] the plan
[42:40] and on page 19 of the plan
[42:43] it's section 1.12 existing monuments and
[42:46] historic markers it says quote
[42:49] there are numerous monuments and
[42:50] historic markers throughout the park the
[42:53] number of monuments and signs coupled
[42:55] with a proximity to one and one another
[42:58] has the effect of cluttering the park
[43:01] each should be evaluated as part of the
[43:03] new design and careful consideration
[43:05] should be given as to how they are
[43:06] placed within the new plaza
[43:08] that's what it said
[43:11] i did not find anything in there saying
[43:13] you know it should be removed
[43:15] and not find anything in there that said
[43:18] it should be
[43:19] relocated i did not find anything in
[43:21] there that said it shouldn't be removed

[43:43] so i think there is some uh
[43:45] maneuverability within the plan because
[43:47] as things were developing the plaza in
[43:50] terms of what they were doing to the
[43:51] park there had to be some flexibility
[43:53] within that so it was the ideal of the
[43:56] plan and then what actually happened
[44:00] so then our resolution should just so we
[44:04] get it right
[44:05] so our resolution should be to
[44:08] recommend the movement back to liberty
[44:12] park
[44:16] i don't have an opinion on that you know
