[52:26] 45 then we'll serve lunch and they'll be
[52:29] able to have lunch and then socialize a
[52:31] bit afterwards and then then leave by 12
[52:34] 30. Fridays are going to be a little bit
[52:36] different Fridays are a breakfast
[52:37] program so the hours there are going to
[52:40] be about 10 to 12. they will arrive
[52:43] um it is at a cafe it's at the Bellevue
[52:45] Cafe so that food is going to be
[52:47] prepared and ready to go so they'll be
[52:48] able to come in again socialize for a
[52:51] period of time have their breakfast at a
[52:53] nice breakfast buffet and then following
[52:56] the meal we will be doing the activities
[52:58] at that site so it will be the same
[53:01] thing for 2022 it's going to be our
[53:03] matter of balance we have a certified
[53:04] instructor on staff who will be coming
[53:06] in to do that in 2023 we are in
[53:10] negotiations and we have talked with uh
[53:12] MVP who will be coming in to do or some
[53:14] of our programming then so they will be
[53:16] doing some Tai Chi chicks chair Tai Chi
[53:21] and other types of programmings that is
[53:24] you know beneficial for the older adults
[53:26] will also be doing when we can some
[53:28] types of activities for uh not only just
[53:31] physical activities but brain engagement
[53:33] if you will trivia really trying to keep
[53:36] the folks because we know social
[53:37] isolation has been so challenging and
[53:39] folks have gotten used to being home and
[53:41] are kind of content so we want folks to
[53:43] get back out have a meal socialize
[53:45] engage in some activities and have the
[53:48] opportunity to do that in three
[53:50] different sites each week
[53:52] and this is
[53:54] kind of compliment what has been set up
[53:57] at the Hibernian so I'm approaching with
[53:58] some of an open mind where we'll have to
[54:01] see what the actual level of
[54:03] participation is and
[54:06] what the client mixes so that you know
[54:10] could vary depending on who
[54:13] Catholic Family Beauty Services has done
[54:18] this number of levels and has the
[54:21] flexibility I think to kind of handle
[54:24] whatever May evolve here so that it'll
[54:27] benefit the people and you know reflect
[54:30] well on the money that the council has
[54:32] invested in this and
[54:34] can create opportunities within those
[54:37] neighborhoods Miss birthday so um you

[55:14] sure so Catholic Charities as a whole

[55:20] Schenectady County so we operate within
[55:22] a contract with the county four other
[55:24] congregate site so that's kind of what
[55:25] we see long term for this and being able
[55:27] to partner with the city and not only
[55:29] have it at these sites but other
[55:31] locations again having the opportunities
[55:34] to have places where older adults can
[55:36] come out and engage with each other and
[55:39] have socialization in meals so my goal
[55:42] is always to bring more and more and
[55:43] more out into the community where the
[55:45] people are where the needs are we
[55:47] envision the first uh probably you know
[55:49] four or five months spending some time
[55:51] talking with the folks that are coming
[55:52] out to these sites and really kind of
[55:54] looking at it as what what do they see
[55:55] as their needs what else would they like
[55:57] to see where else would they like to see
[55:59] this some other types of things so we as
[56:01] an agency our mission is to bring the
[56:03] services out to hopes in the community
[56:05] we're they're at so we offer other types
[56:08] of programming so I guess that's another
[56:10] Advantage we do have other programs that
[56:12] can benefit the older adults that come
[56:14] there too we can make referrals for a
[56:16] lot of Need for case management really
[56:18] trying to help to connect with health
[56:19] insurance information and counseling and
[56:22] caregiver support things so we can get
[56:24] folks connected that need that so my
[56:27] goal is to be able to expand the types
[56:29] of services and the types of sites that
[56:31] we do for the older adults in the in the
[56:34] county
[56:37] support them so what does your Staffing
[56:39] look like and each of these okay at each
[56:41] site we will have a staff person at each
[56:43] site each day
[56:44] initially we have staff person right now
[56:46] who we're able to pull some of her hours
[56:48] from her full-time position to be on
[56:50] site to do that we have a program
[56:52] director who oversees the program who
[56:54] will also be on site for as long as it
[56:57] takes until we kind of work out some of
[56:59] the Kinks and get it running smoothly
[57:01] the goal is to hire a person
[57:03] specifically for this program once we
[57:06] get flowing and we kind of see how it's
[57:07] going to work so that's what we're able
[57:09] to do right now is to have the the staff
[57:11] that we have on board the food for the
[57:14] sites at
[57:15] Steinmetz community park and
[57:18] Hillside Crossings is going to be coming
[57:21] through a vendor we already have a
[57:22] contract with so we already pick up food
[57:24] at the McClellan Campus of Ellis
[57:26] Hospital so we have the staff person on
[57:28] board who already has the we have the
[57:29] vehicle and the equipment and everything
[57:30] that we need to go and get the food
[57:32] bring it over to the sites and then the
[57:35] staff person there will will be able to
[57:38] receive it and start the program
[57:39] obviously we'd be looking for volunteers
[57:41] to help support the staff person there
[57:43] as well and depending on the number of
[57:44] people at a site it'll get a little bit
[57:46] more challenging with one person but we
[57:49] do utilize volunteers and a lot of other
[57:51] capacities in the agency as well
[57:53] so you mentioned 2022 and 2023 so 2022
[57:58] is like we're almost done right so 2023
[58:01] do have an average of what the cost is
[58:03] going to be for um
[58:05] provide the service we put a budget
[58:07] together for 2023 and I think that we
[58:09] came in and right around 50
[58:13] 000 was the budget

[58:53] now it's every single day of the week in
[58:55] the city of Schenectady there's going to
[58:57] be an opportunity for seniors to come
[59:00] together so it's you know really
[59:02] groundbreaking and and we're very you
[59:04] know I'm very excited about it so I
[59:06] appreciate the partnership

[59:48] something that the state is considering
[59:51] I'm just a resolution to support it it's
[59:55] largely an environmental aspect you have

[1:00:00] overview that's quite extensive but the
[1:00:04] idea is to reduce carbon emissions and
[1:00:07] greenhouse gas emissions
[1:00:09] considerably that's going to be done
[1:00:12] largely going to electricity but there
[1:00:16] is a a major component that can impact
[1:00:21] our residents beyond the environment
[1:00:23] the board of authority the port of
[1:00:26] Albany is part of this program where the
[1:00:31] state is looking to really establish
[1:00:34] wind energy across the state that's part
[1:00:38] of reducing the emissions and it's a
[1:00:43] substantial
[1:00:45] investment into the court of Albany
[1:00:47] they're going to need a number of people
[1:00:49] to work there
[1:00:51] hopefully some of our residents will get
[1:00:54] that job get those jobs
[1:00:56] and bring some of that money to their
[1:00:59] households but largely it's an
[1:01:01] environmental piece of reducing
[1:01:04] emissions and looking to ship away from
[1:01:08] fossil fuels towards electrical
[1:01:14] any discussion on this

[1:02:12] violence trade uh training and also
[1:02:14] sexual harassment does have training
[1:02:17] available to us which is essentially
[1:02:19] free
[1:02:20] there is a cost because I explained to
[1:02:23] them that they wanted to do it during
[1:02:25] the day but during the day just doesn't
[1:02:27] work for everyone because people have
[1:02:28] jobs during the day so they want to do
[1:02:30] like in mid-afternoon so that's probably
[1:02:32] something that could not be
[1:02:33] accommodating after speaking to um
[1:02:35] council members who work during the day
[1:02:37] so um they have provided an opportunity
[1:02:40] for us to do it in the evening
[1:02:42] but then that means that there's over
[1:02:43] like accommodations
[1:02:45] so I spoke with Mr
[1:02:47] um Ferrari and we do have there is money
[1:02:50] that's available to pay for an overnight
[1:02:51] accommodation which is going to be much
[1:02:55] uh less than if we paid the trainer to
[1:02:57] actually come into training so they are
[1:03:00] prepared to come forward to do the
[1:03:01] implicit bias training they provided us
[1:03:04] with a couple of dates at the end of
[1:03:05] this month October 28th and 29th so um
[1:03:09] November November 28th and 29th yes
[1:03:12] November 28th and 29th so I mean I'll
[1:03:14] send out an email you'll have to check
[1:03:15] it right now but I'll send out an email

[1:03:19] but um something it's something we
[1:03:21] really need to move forward with and so

[1:04:33] training was will be done in the course

[1:06:32] for Forbes they received Forbes 2020
[1:06:34] being the most one of the um Assurance
[1:06:37] company that that racial that had a lot
[1:06:39] of diversity and inclusion as part of as
[1:06:42] part of their Workforce so I I'm hoping
[1:06:45] that the training that we'll be able to
[1:06:46] get from then will certainly benefit the
[1:06:49] Council
[1:06:52] would it be able would we be able to
[1:06:54] work it out with our insurance company
[1:06:56] as well for the industries the same
[1:06:58] training he said that was free free from
[1:07:01] school from the school district is there
[1:07:04] just one
[1:07:06] person or that supplies that just one
[1:07:09] individual the trains yeah
[1:07:13] so multiple people would come in or well
[1:07:16] that would depend on the scope of
[1:07:18] services that we operate so it really
[1:07:20] depends on the need
[1:07:23] so part of that though when if I can
[1:07:25] speak to that part of that is that they
[1:07:27] come and kind of talk to the council and
[1:07:29] say you know kind of get our idea of
[1:07:31] what needs to happen so they think so
[1:07:34] it's sort of like interview process sure
[1:07:36] so then they can then they would take
[1:07:37] the training and make sure that the
[1:07:39] training is specific to what what was
[1:07:41] identified
[1:07:43] training is really important that you're
[1:07:45] responsive right so um you don't want to
[1:07:48] just come in and say I mean there's some
[1:07:49] pretty basic you know sheer Concepts and
[1:07:52] understandings and definitions that you
[1:07:54] know we just kind of universal things
[1:07:55] but really what you want to do is you
[1:07:58] really want to make sure that your
[1:07:59] trading is tired responsive to who
[1:08:02] they're funny so it's more relevant and
[1:08:04] you can actually apply your practices
[1:08:06] so would there be like a questionnaire
[1:08:08] prior to us getting a team in to speak
[1:08:12] with us or or would they come in and
[1:08:14] speak with us and then go from there
[1:08:15] well our
[1:08:17] I'm not sure how they would want to do
[1:08:19] that um and in my experience what I do
[1:08:22] is I I may not meet with whatever group
[1:08:24] or at least some representatives of the
[1:08:26] group that I'd be working with and then
[1:08:28] kind of get you know ask them some
[1:08:30] pretty basic questions as to around me
[1:08:33] um you know commitment you know what is
[1:08:35] you know
[1:08:36] where are there any special areas that
[1:08:38] you're getting better you know have kind
[1:08:40] of risen to me I'm concerned that you
[1:08:41] need to address you know so on and so
[1:08:43] forth so it really depends
[1:08:47] I think we move forward with the
[1:08:49] implicit bias training as far as the any
[1:08:51] racism training I think we should look
[1:08:53] at a variety of different vendors if we
[1:08:55] go down that road and get through the
[1:08:58] three hours first that's
[1:09:01] a big time commitment to end one evening
[1:09:06] some of these meetings have been three
[1:09:08] hours so and we all know how we are
[1:09:11] after those three hours so and so I
[1:09:15] think we get through that and look at
[1:09:17] various vendors and who might be able to
[1:09:20] do training and see about moving forward
[1:09:22] on that yeah and we all want to make
[1:09:24] sure that also the cost is something we
[1:09:27] always want to keep in mind and I don't

[1:09:32] to reiterate that there's this is very
[1:09:34] important and I'm sure that as good
[1:09:36] trainers they will give us a break

[1:13:53] potentially be something that's annually
[1:13:54] so I look at the benefits of this long
[1:13:57] term for future capsules and how we are
[1:14:00] taking in Monumental stuff and making
[1:14:02] sure that there might be various
[1:14:04] trainings that are required of council
[1:14:08] members to make sure that we are most
[1:14:09] beneficial at our roles in the city so
[1:14:11] I'm excited for that I think with that
[1:14:13] point I would say it should be a budget
[1:14:15] item within the city but definitely how
[1:14:17] I
[1:14:18] is making our work more impactful for
[1:14:20] the city
[1:14:22] with that mind we could potentially
[1:14:25] piggyback with the police department
[1:14:27] since there's 60 000 in the budget so
[1:14:29] that might actually be a quite a
[1:14:31] beneficial thing for everybody
[1:14:33] piggy bank what does that mean like we
[1:14:36] train all together training yeah yeah
[1:14:37] well I think I think I've said this
[1:14:40] before and I'd like to repeat that I'd
[1:14:42] like that training that that that just
[1:14:44] like increases the numbers which means
[1:14:47] there's less interaction all that this
[1:14:49] training we talked about for the council
[1:14:50] so for this particular I would like us
[1:14:52] to say focus on that
[1:14:54] would not be implicit right okay all right
[1:15:00] they already yeah they already have in
[1:15:03] their budget right yeah so we can
[1:15:06] piggyback with that and be beneficial I
[1:15:08] think for everybody yeah I would say
[1:15:11] on the inside of anti-racism training

[1:15:16] we should probably make sure that we're
[1:15:20] doing it in a way that is relevant to
[1:15:22] our jobs and duties and our having
[1:15:24] seen the University of training that

[1:15:30] inclusive buyers of unfortunately I was
[1:15:33] able to look at some of that so I would
[1:15:35] imagine that some of that content is
[1:15:37] going to be specific to the nature of
[1:15:39] the job that you're doing so with that
[1:15:41] said I think that we also should focus
[1:15:43] on Council that's what we've done the
[1:15:45] same way before because it's about
[1:15:46] shared anti-creases of training
[1:15:54] discussion

[1:16:38] signage to WS fun design company

[1:16:50] um this was a complicated project for us
[1:16:52] to do not in implementation but just
[1:16:55] kind of in the bidding process it's a
[1:16:57] small project it's a little you know
[1:16:59] tough who do you how do you use it
[1:17:01] what's the cost going to be do you bid
[1:17:03] it do you get quotes So the safest thing
[1:17:05] was to bid it
[1:17:06] um we did put it together as a bid we
[1:17:09] only got one response I did talk with
[1:17:12] some locals as it was a bid and not a
[1:17:15] price they found it a little cumbersome
[1:17:16] to go through our bid processes uh
[1:17:20] they're smaller shops that don't usually
[1:17:22] have Bond requirements and things like
[1:17:24] that so we got the one bid from WS signs
[1:17:28] out of Springfield Massachusetts The
[1:17:30] Price is Right Where we kind of expected
[1:17:33] it to be taught from other vendors we
[1:17:35] have not worked with them but given the
[1:17:37] kind of the elementary and stuff the
[1:17:40] project we would like to recommend
[1:17:42] foreign
[1:17:45] early spring we're doing this project in
[1:17:47] cooperation with the county and
[1:17:49] Metroplex it is kind of a half and half
[1:17:53] tourism project a local project because
[1:17:56] it's just about linking downtown in the
[1:17:59] Parks to each other so we're going to
[1:18:01] start at the dog park in Central Park
[1:18:03] and we're going to end at the Vail
[1:18:06] entrance way and then the goal is going
[1:18:08] to be when we complete our Franklin
[1:18:10] Street cycle track that we're going to
[1:18:12] take this type of sign as you move it
[1:18:13] all the way down to J Street and then
[1:18:15] that way we create the J the Central
[1:18:18] Park Corridor and we're going to expand
[1:18:20] off that
[1:18:29] in retrospect I mean this is hindsight
[1:18:32] but I don't want to I don't want to
[1:18:34] punish in a way the company for going
[1:18:37] through the work and doing the bid but
[1:18:39] in retrospective the cost was under 35
[1:18:41] 000 and we knew that from the did go we
[1:18:44] could under our purchasing policy get
[1:18:46] three written quotes
[1:18:48] but we thought the bid was the safest
[1:18:50] that we had the estimate somewhere
[1:18:51] between 30 and 50. okay okay

[1:19:45] keep up their property to get the litter
[1:19:48] picked up on their properties try to put
[1:19:50] garbage cans out there

[1:19:56] systematically go through some of the
[1:19:58] easier Parts before we get to the more
[1:20:00] difficult parts and authorize the mayor
[1:20:04] to do that so that way we're all engaged
[1:20:07] with this as a council as well as an
[1:20:09] Administration
[1:20:11] do we really need to
[1:20:13] authorize the man to do that yeah so

[1:20:20] wouldn't do it just by myself

[1:21:27] um and across the board people are
[1:21:29] really interested in this idea of what
[1:21:31] new businesses do and how can we support
[1:21:34] the businesses in their own storefronts
[1:21:36] especially our smaller businesses in
[1:21:39] having a park and playing a role in uh
[1:21:44] cleaning up cleaning up the city so I
[1:21:46] think that's a good one I do think that
[1:21:48] this is a good kind of easy start to
[1:21:51] some of the other recommendations that
[1:21:53] are in the plan
[1:21:57] yeah I I thank all of us on when I saw
[1:22:00] most I think all of us are concerned
[1:22:01] about the other troll of the city and we
[1:22:03] have all of us receive concerns from
[1:22:07] residents from business and things of
[1:22:08] that and I think when this initially
[1:22:10] came out to things more on an
[1:22:12] educational drive to to work on that
[1:22:14] continent towards the resident towards
[1:22:17] business and things like that so I think
[1:22:19] we should you know continue that
[1:22:21] momentum where we build on the
[1:22:23] educational confidence of this operation
[1:22:25] here and

[1:22:32] think we can we can do that but we need
[1:22:34] to just work on our set out to
[1:22:35] originally educational confidence and
[1:22:37] all of us can help in terms of driving
[1:22:40] that message to Residents and everybody got

[1:22:47] um I like the idea of Mayor of if
[1:22:49] there's going to be a fancy certificate
[1:22:51] that we all sign it I think that's that
[1:22:53] shows the
[1:22:54] commitment of all all council members so
[1:22:58] I guess you'll be designing that
[1:23:01] we'll go out and find some fancy frames
[1:23:04] too oh okay okay
[1:23:09] I also think it's important to be
[1:23:12] realistic and that there's a lot of
[1:23:13] different like trends that go around and
[1:23:15] I absolutely like love the thought of
[1:23:17] anti-littering being a trendy Topic in
[1:23:19] the city how I think it also is
[1:23:22] important for us to recognize that there
[1:23:23] may be individuals that do pledge and
[1:23:25] unfortunately either Fall by the wayside
[1:23:27] or don't continue to enact that belief
[1:23:30] of making sure you're picking up your
[1:23:32] trash order and keeping your area clean
[1:23:34] so having plenty dollar consideration to
[1:23:36] how to remedy those types of issues or
[1:23:38] address people that may be falling by
[1:23:40] the wayside in a productive manner so
[1:23:42] that we just don't have like a thousand
[1:23:43] players in the city so it's
[1:23:46] where it's on page 68 yeah
[1:23:50] I mean those are really good points and
[1:23:53] that's why I think the accountability
[1:23:54] issue
[1:23:55] um is definitely and how do we hold
[1:23:57] people people and businesses accountable
[1:23:59] so there are different
[1:24:02] um it's not just uh 68 it actually
[1:24:04] starts on 66 but yeah there's a few laws
[1:24:07] in the enforcement piece
[1:24:10] number of different recommendations
[1:24:12] um
[1:24:14] I'll just say for some of the listeners
[1:24:15] that might have had an opportunity to
[1:24:17] review this and you can just highlight
[1:24:18] the important part
[1:24:23] um
[1:24:23] so to collaborate and communicate with
[1:24:27] Schenectady businesses that have
[1:24:28] Perpetual litter and trash issues and
[1:24:30] violations so just some easy ways is
[1:24:34] maybe take some pictures of the litter
[1:24:36] on the business property speak nicely to
[1:24:40] the owner the manager of the business
[1:24:42] you could even send a letter with the
[1:24:44] picture asking you know how can the
[1:24:47] residents help how can the city help
[1:24:49] make an appointment to meet with the
[1:24:51] business owner or the manager ask them
[1:24:54] how we can work together to educate
[1:24:56] customers to stop littering which is
[1:24:59] part of the certificate aspect offer to
[1:25:03] provide educational materials such as
[1:25:05] posters for posting in prominent places
[1:25:08] in their establishment follow up with
[1:25:10] good news if they
[1:25:13] get less litter or with bad news if
[1:25:16] there's continued litter and if bad news
[1:25:19] it it would be a fine from the city and
[1:25:22] this pledge would be their commitment
[1:25:26] of it starts with me of trying to
[1:25:30] address this issue so it's kind of a
[1:25:33] incremental process of easing people
[1:25:36] into hey we need to take pride in our
[1:25:39] business and keep it clean
[1:25:40] [Music]
[1:25:42] then I think that there's that
[1:25:43] combination and that balance of
[1:25:45] incentive and positive feedback with the
[1:25:49] idea of
[1:25:51] really you know holding folks
[1:25:53] accountable if they don't
[1:25:55] continue to meet the The Pledge that
[1:25:59] they that they've taken
[1:26:03] so
[1:26:04] how who would do the work what what
[1:26:06] department is this to me is would this
[1:26:08] be assigned to
[1:26:10] well I think that's a
[1:26:12] decision well
[1:26:15] in general
[1:26:16] that was in the office of General
[1:26:18] Services he was a police and code
[1:26:20] enforcement are part of it and a fully
[1:26:23] city-wide campaign you got to do
[1:26:26] Outreach into neighborhood groups
[1:26:29] talk about going into the schools
[1:26:31] educating some of the kids and stuff in
[1:26:34] terms of recycling and the benefits of
[1:26:36] it so you've got you know a broad-based
[1:26:40] engagement
[1:26:42] where it starts with me hopefully people
[1:26:45] take care of the problem themselves and
[1:26:47] we don't have to use City resources on
[1:26:50] it is really the ideal scenario
[1:26:52] but the reality is there's going to be
[1:26:55] some balance where yes you know City
[1:26:58] crews are going to have to play some
[1:27:00] role in it whether it is
[1:27:02] hopefully it's a constructive
[1:27:04] engagement as opposed to
[1:27:07] having to find people or cite them
[1:27:11] for you know poor choices that they're
[1:27:14] making
[1:27:16] Miss Patrick I'll follow up to that um I
[1:27:19] did ask Mr Lafond for his feedback as
[1:27:22] you had requested
[1:27:23] um he absolutely you know was very
[1:27:25] enthusiastic about the plan
[1:27:27] um definitely like the rest of us thinks
[1:27:30] that the educational aspects and
[1:27:32] especially the aspects around behavioral
[1:27:34] change whether it's young people adults
[1:27:37] businesses Etc are going to be really
[1:27:39] important he did make a suggestion of
[1:27:42] possibly a nuisance officer might be
[1:27:46] somebody that could be like a
[1:27:49] spokesperson almost and really kind of
[1:27:50] talk about the city's litter literary
[1:27:53] campaign as we move forward the other
[1:27:55] piece of this is we do have a virtual
[1:27:58] meeting set up with some members of the
[1:28:00] school district
[1:28:02] um who I went through Dr Kato and he has
[1:28:05] several people that are meeting with us
[1:28:10] this week I can't remember now what the
[1:28:12] date of it is but we'll be doing that
[1:28:13] virtually to start talking about some of
[1:28:16] the educational aspects that are in the
[1:28:17] plan
[1:28:19] and how how we can partner with the
[1:28:20] school district
[1:28:22] um on many different aspects of this
[1:28:25] so that's that's coming up as well we'll
[1:28:27] be able to update you that about that
[1:28:29] after we have a meeting
[1:28:31] yes I'm sorry I was Patrick just
[1:28:35] mentioned at their meetings set up would
[1:28:37] it be since all the city council members
[1:28:38] and mayor are involved no I think it
[1:28:40] would be wise if all the council member
[1:28:42] are invited to these meetings meetings

[1:28:47] council member or invited so I would
[1:28:49] like to see everybody invited we're all
[1:28:51] part of it now

[1:29:50] businesses for surveys that we just want
[1:29:52] to make sure that um
[1:29:55] way that everyone is this opportunity
[1:29:58] participate in this place yeah

[1:30:02] on every single business in the city

[1:30:12] with fire chief police chief
[1:30:15] represents Law Department
[1:30:17] code enforcement out to the stores and
[1:30:21] we walked through
[1:30:22] police calls look at the other calls for
[1:30:26] service I wanted to tell them because I
[1:30:28] wanted to view the city as a partner and
[1:30:31] I want an adversarial relationship and
[1:30:34] one of the places cleaned up there are
[1:30:38] couple of places that I have told
[1:30:41] without question their Pig styes they
[1:30:44] are an embarrassment of other ones most
[1:30:47] people they understand that they want
[1:30:49] their business to be good they want it
[1:30:53] to be attractive they want to pick it up
[1:30:55] the song that
[1:30:58] I question their business model and
[1:31:01] maybe why they're in business
[1:31:04] your point is well made and I don't ever
[1:31:08] want to project that image where people
[1:31:09] feel that it's adversarial or being
[1:31:13] treated at different levels that you
[1:31:15] want people to again be successful make
[1:31:18] money here and add value within the
[1:31:21] neighborhoods
[1:31:23] get in my town to see the city staff as
[1:31:25] partners
[1:31:27] Mr Moon Yeah there's Rocky Banks when we
[1:31:30] were discussing this last time we did
[1:31:31] mention in London use some sticky thing
[1:31:33] that was fast a couple of years ago and
[1:31:35] there were some issues with a ticketing
[1:31:38] and I it just reminds me that I had
[1:31:40] asked Mr Golden to look into it and to
[1:31:43] see what is needed for the police
[1:31:45] department your office but I'm always
[1:31:47] involved to see that we need to bring
[1:31:49] that back at the same time so to move
[1:31:51] forward with the ticketing aspect you
[1:31:53] need some ticketing aspect of that
[1:31:55] combined with the educational confidence
[1:31:58] a bit also so that's the thing if you
[1:32:00] know you have some time please fill us
[1:32:02] in and see where we can land that as we
[1:32:05] move forward yeah and you know obviously
[1:32:08] um
[1:32:11] one of the issues that we've had I think
[1:32:15] is well first you know being on the same
[1:32:16] page this police department and you know
[1:32:18] the law Department being on the same
[1:32:19] page as the police departments obviously
[1:32:21] a great significance
[1:32:24] um and I haven't had an opportunity yet
[1:32:26] uh to speak in detail with uh AC Whipple
[1:32:29] who oversees you know a lot of this part
[1:32:34] of the law enforcement
[1:32:36] the other piece to this is obviously how
[1:32:39] the filths are interpreting the tickets
[1:32:41] that come in I'm sorry how the courts
[1:32:44] see the ticketing
[1:32:46] um obviously we have different city
[1:32:48] court judges and you know obviously
[1:32:51] looking for a consistent interpretation
[1:32:54] method from the judges is you know
[1:32:57] Paramount here because what we have
[1:32:59] right now we know Works across the board
[1:33:02] to modify it we would obviously need the
[1:33:05] you know not one judge but you know all
[1:33:08] the city court judges to be on the same
[1:33:09] page and you know they're not being an
[1:33:12] issue I think you know sometimes uh you
[1:33:16] know tracking down the judges to you
[1:33:18] know find that time to talk to all of
[1:33:20] them and then for them to talk
[1:33:22] internally to make sure that they're on
[1:33:23] the same page and proved to be a bit of
[1:33:25] a challenge
[1:33:27] um but it's something obviously that you
[1:33:29] know we're going to do once I talk to
[1:33:31] the police department to figure out what
[1:33:33] is going to be the most efficient way
[1:33:34] first for them and then making sure that
[1:33:37] it complies with you know all the
[1:33:39] requirements of the criminal procedure
[1:33:40] law
[1:33:41] we're also going to be bringing in
[1:33:43] commissioner Devine since he's a former
[1:33:46] judge he might have some expertise there
[1:33:50] and uh
[1:33:52] ability to work with the court system
[1:33:54] with Mr Coleman as well as assistant
[1:33:57] chief Whipple so their your point is
[1:34:00] correct and we're we're definitely
[1:34:02] looking into putting that together but
[1:34:05] wanted to start with something yeah
[1:34:08] it's already on the books we just need
[1:34:10] to revise we need to revise and move
[1:34:11] forward
[1:34:12] to the campaign

[1:35:50] there were some conflicting schedules

[1:36:00] there have been a number of residents
[1:36:02] who have come forward to this state
