the city council um [6:31] and wish him well in his future [6:33] endeavors um I also wanted to note that [6:37] um skincity shares which is a food and [6:41] personal hygiene product Drive uh that [6:44] was started in 2023 is kicking off again [6:46] on January 4th this year uh we're [6:49] hearing from all of our food pantries [6:50] that the need is just tremendous out [6:52] there I mean they really have increased [6:54] uh the folks that they're seeing are uh [6:56] desperate so we hope that folks will uh [6:59] contribute food and personal hygiene [7:01] products there'll be uh over 30 sites [7:04] collecting food including City Hall this [7:06] year thank you mayor McCarthy for uh uh [7:09] agreeing to that um and we will end on [7:12] February 10th um and if anyone would [7:14] like to volunteer they could contact [7:16] myself or Miss Toro uh to help us out [7:18] during the month as well when we do our [7:20] sorting and our picking up and all that [7:23] um tonight's the first night of Quanza [7:26] and I know there's celebrations every [7:27] night this week um I also noticed that [7:30] today's word for Quan K Quanza is unity [7:33] and so as we go into the new year I also [7:35] want to stress that among my colleagues [7:37] that I hope that we will uh ourselves um [7:40] have a a more unified uh Council moving [7:44] forward and that uh we all will [7:46] celebrate the New Year together in [7:48] collaboration and and good communication [7:51] uh and with that happy New Year everyone [7:53] thank [7:55] you [7:57] mayor thank you madam president want
