I choose to teach in Jefferson Paris Schools because I feel that they give me a ton of opportunities to learn and to grow in this profession.

And I also choose J.P. Schools because I feel like they give those same opportunities to the students.

For me, personally, it's the digital media classes that I teach students are getting to learn graphic arts and graphic design. It gives students an opportunity to experience things that they may not have experienced otherwise.

00:00:26,200 --> 00:00:39,640
I think the most rewarding thing about being a teacher is just be enabled to be with the kids and have those aha moments and have the kids realize that they can create these really awesome pieces of like graphic art and

5
00:00:39,640 --> 00:00:43,340
maybe these kids didn't necessarily realize that they had the creative spark.

6
00:00:43,860 --> 00:00:53,200
I guess you just really don't realize the impact that you're having on the kids and so I really enjoy getting to work with the students and have them kind of embrace that creativity and

7
00:00:53,200 --> 00:00:56,580
you know, give them a piece of themselves that they didn't know that they had.

8
00:00:56,760 --> 00:00:59,560
You know that you're making a difference in those kids' lives, and that's really great.
