[10:27] » Anderson, yes. >> Kazinski, yes. [10:31] » Stevens, yes. Motion carries. Okay. [10:38] H emergency road funding $20,000. We do this every year in case in this spring [10:44] we have some sort of really bad road um condition where it needs extra money [10:51] from requesting that $20,000 be moved into the general fund to cover [10:58] in case of that contingency. >> Make a motion to move $2,000 of [11:03] emergency funds um into the general fund to cover [11:09] situations. [11:13] Okay. Motion in support to move $20,000 into the um general fund to improve um [11:19] for any road emergencies that may occur during the um winter or spring months. [11:26] Okay. Do we have to have a roll call vote? [11:27] » Who supported that? >> Yeah. Do we have to do a roll call vote? [11:30] I would. >> Yep. Roll call vote. Anderson, yes. [11:33] » Yes. >> Kazinski, yes. Yes. [11:36] » Stevens, yes. Motion carries. Okay. Township sign. [11:42] We We got the township signed by sign fabricators and our clients. [11:50] Um the sign has never worked since we've had it. They've always had they built a [11:56] cabinet, but the electronics was supplied by a place over in White Lake [12:00] called Works Direct. To get them to come on out to repair the sign was near [12:05] impossible, and they still didn't fix it. So, we had Philip sign and Mount [12:11] Clemens come. They got the sign running again, but there's still parts of it. [12:15] Some of the panels aren't working like they should. One of the panels aren't [12:19] working at all. Well, they investigate into it and they found well when uh [12:25] the sign that type of sign is not being made no more and and Philip sign they do [12:30] not have the software to support that brand. [12:35] » We paid what >> I think 29,000. [12:40] » Yeah, these and that was a low cost sign that we chose. That was the lowest cost [12:45] sign. Um I'm thinking we need to um do legal action [12:51] on the people we bought it from. >> Absolutely. [12:54] » Yeah. So this is just unacceptable. This is a big thing and we've just getting [13:01] knocked around with a ping pong from day one. And I think that um [13:08] so I'm gonna I want permission from the board to contact our attorney to start [13:14] legal proceedings on this. >> This has been going on for a long time. [13:18] » Yes. >> I think you got it in 2022 maybe. [13:21] » Yeah. >> I'll make a motion. [13:23] » Okay. Okay. Do we have support? [13:27] » I'll support. >> Okay. a motion support to allow the [13:30] supervisor to contact our uh township attorney to start legal proceedings [13:36] against um significators among clemens over our [13:41] site or non or >> could you talk to Chris could you ask [13:47] her what she estimates the cost would be to take this on [13:52] » see if it's a practical thing >> what did you say sorry [13:55] » I just asked to ask ask the attorney what she estimates the legal costs will [14:01] be to take this uh issue to court and to settle it. [14:05] » Okay. >> All right. I'll do that. [14:11] » And I would assume that we have all the background documenting [14:17] the calls that we made, the requests that we made. We have all that [14:22] » and we should be good to go. Okay. >> All right. [14:27] We need to vote on it. >> I I would say that all right. So [14:31] » you got motion and support. >> Yeah. Move. We have motion support to [14:34] allow supervisor to contact our legal representation [14:38] about the township sign. All okay. This will cost money. So it's roll call vote. [14:44] » Anderson. Yes. >> Yes. [14:46] » Present. Yes. Yes. >> Stevens. Yes. Motion carries. Okay. This [14:51] is the thing from Cintas here. They we we modified our contract. [14:58] Instead of paying it every week, we went to um monthly. We asked them and plus we [15:03] took some rugs away. We wanted to see if that would reset our contract [15:08] um that we signed two years ago whether that would reset to another and it does [15:14] not. >> So, [15:16] » did you already contact them and ask them to change it to monthly or not yet? [15:20] » Um yeah, >> you did. So, when does that start? [15:23] » Probably next month. So I'll I'll double check. [15:29] » So we don't have to do any action. That was kind of [15:47] okay. [15:54] Okay. Um, budget amendments. >> So, I have a few budget amendments. Um, [16:01] you can take your revenue and expenditure report that was in the [16:05] packet earlier. You can follow along. Um the first one I am taking [16:11] $295 from the planning commission account [16:15] number which is 10110179 and I'm moving it to the zoning board of [16:20] appeals account which is 101101710. [16:26] The next set is I am taking $3,1128 [16:33] from the planning consultant account number which is 101 101816 [16:39] and I am moving it into the three following accounts. The first one is the [16:45] telephone account 101101850. I'm moving $6216 [16:51] into there. The second is account number 101101752 [16:56] for supplies. I'm moving $253.98 in there. And then the last one is [17:04] account 101101956 miscellaneous and I'm moving $2,796.14 [17:11] there which totals the $3,1128. [17:17] The last set is I am moving $6,23942 [17:25] from legal fees account number 101 101826. [17:29] I am moving it to two accounts. The first is 101265752 [17:36] supplies. I'm moving $1,775.79. [17:41] The second is account number 101265930 maintenance and repairs and I'm moving [17:49] $4,46363 [17:52] which totals $6,23942. [17:58] I did not touch the building department. There are a couple. There's one, [18:06] one, two, three, four accounts that are over budget. So, you encourage me to sit [18:12] down and figure that out. >> Okay. [18:26] Okay. All right. Um we just had the um budget amendments listed. Um do we have [18:32] a motion to >> motion to approve budget amendments for [18:36] 2025 26? >> Okay. [18:40] » Okay. Support for the budget amendments for 2025 2026 [18:46] 2026. Okay. Roll call vote. >> Anderson yes [18:50] » yes. >> Kazinski yes. Stove yes. [18:53] » Stevens yes. Motion carries. zoning administrator. Um I did what the board [18:59] requested it. I added the code enforcement into the zoning um [19:04] administrator position. And in your on the table tonight, you'll see another [19:10] one at the bottom there's another um thing we added and improved zoning [19:15] requirements on building plans. I had Shel look this over on Monday and that's [19:20] where her adviser was. Good. Um, >> that's what she needs to do for her job. [19:25] » So, um, does anyone have any questions on this? [19:33] » Well, I have three people. Matter of fact, one, um, gentleman came in today [19:38] who has experience in township government. [19:41] » Um, I have a another one who was recommended by he was a former a retired [19:46] contractor in Lennox Township. He was referred to me by their code enforcement [19:51] official there. And I have a gentleman who does the exact same job up virtual [19:57] township who told me that he'd be interested. [20:02] So, um, [clears throat] [20:05] » and we're doing this as a zoning administrator/code enforcement. Yes. One [20:10] person. >> One person. And then when if and when we [20:14] approve this, we'll figure out like how many days they're here, how many hours. [20:19] » I'm thinking one day a week in house here and do all this field work. Unless [20:24] if there's more splits, I mean zoning to be done, field work. You know, if they [20:29] have to work more than one day, so be it. Work one day, be in the office, and [20:35] then be available by phone for the rest of the week for [20:39] me. that zoning person is going to have a [20:44] lot more work from the building department than he will have the splits. [20:51] The building department is booming. And so [20:57] to have one day a week he's here, he's gone and I get three applications that [21:03] need only we wait a week to get that. >> Well, can we get them in the BPN like [21:09] Katie has? And I think Shelly has one that they can work from home if they [21:13] need to. [snorts] >> We could look into that. [21:18] » I don't Does that cost us anything? I don't know if it does. [21:20] » I mean, well, the biggest thing like Brenda says, it's going to be the actual [21:23] fieldwork itself going out and measuring the setbacks from that and u [21:28] » right they're going to need the site plan that the [clears throat] [21:32] brings to us in the office. I would say require them to work inhouse one day a [21:37] week to be here physically here preferably on Monday because they can [21:41] work with the assessor on any split issues and then be available if um and [21:47] in case if they need extra fieldwork doing um the zoning and that then [21:53] » you just say as needed. >> Yeah, as needed. [21:57] whoever whoever gets hired just needs to be aware that it could be [22:01] » you know like an extra day or >> and um and I told um the individual who [22:06] came to my office today and code enforcement we've done by complaint [22:10] bases only so whoever so [22:16] » when Matt was our only administrator he worked a full-time job [22:21] » so what we would do is take his information to the door and he would [22:26] pick it up. So, we can we can make it work. But, [22:30] » you know, they're going to have a I mean, building department is been very [22:34] busy. >> Yeah. So, all three of them are familiar [22:37] with zoning. >> Nice. [22:38] » Yeah. So, okay. So, [22:47] any questions on this? >> Do we need to take any action on that? [22:52] Well, I think we should approve the job description at least tonight and then [22:57] next week. Um, I guess to we should reset a salary about I was thinking I [23:04] was thinking um about $26 an hour. [23:10] » Did you like look at other areas around here? What? [23:13] » I did. Some one township near here is $26 now. Another is $30 per hour. [23:20] » So, Any [23:25] question? [23:29] Okay. I'd like to get this um at least the job [23:34] description approved this evening. Okay. Well, with um the inclusion of number [23:41] nine, which is what the assessor um required requested. [23:49] Um I'll make a motion that we approve the [23:54] job description for the zoning administrator code enforcement [24:02] » support. Okay, we have a motion support to approve the zoning administrator code [24:07] enforcement job description. Um, any further questions? [24:13] » If not, all in favor? >> I motion carries. There's a second part [24:18] to this. We just recently had some things where [24:23] we may have to write for a building violation some misdemeanor ticket. We [24:29] investigate this end until we get the code enforcement official Chris Anderson [24:36] recommend [clears throat] recommended she go but asked the board to give be [24:41] the authority to write a ticket so in case if we have to process any kind of [24:46] building violation >> it' be a misdemeanor ticket. [24:52] So these tickets will be written for violations [24:57] in um electrical. [25:02] » Yeah. Or mechanical or >> mechanical. [25:06] That's the scope of it. >> Yeah. [25:09] » And this would be done in cooperation and coordination with the gentlemen that [25:17] oversee those. >> What? Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. with our [25:21] inspectors. >> Yeah. [25:24] » And Chris did recommend township will send two letters. [25:30] If there's no compliance, she will send one, [25:36] you know, and generally a letter from the legal council triggers some type of [25:41] reaction. If not, she'll send two. And if there's no response, then because the [25:48] court is going to want real detailed background, how far did you go to work [25:53] with these people to get compliance? >> So, it's not going to probably happen. [26:00] » Five letters, five letters, three from us, [26:05] » a minimum of four possibly five. Two from us, two definitely from her. And [26:10] then I guess it would be her discretion whether or not if they you know if they [26:14] offer compliance then you know another letter to confirm that we've spoken and [26:19] this is the understanding. >> Yeah. [26:21] » Chris Anderson serves in this way. She's our prosecuting attorney. So she would [26:26] submit the ticket with information to um district court [26:32] hearing. I guess I'm not understanding why someone would hesitate to [26:40] They're trying to build a house. They're trying to get into this house. [26:45] Why would they Why would they not comply with what experts say is necessary to do [26:52] that? >> It's not always about building anything. [26:56] It's not about construction. It's about alteration, electrical alterations. [27:03] So, >> well, I guess you know what you're [27:06] talking Well, we have we have a circumstance right now. [27:10] » Yeah. >> Yeah. We may [27:11] » and it's electrical. >> Yeah. We may need to do this. So, I [27:14] don't I'm just asking the board for to be the temporary code enforcement to [27:19] write tickets until we hire. >> So, moved. [27:24] » Okay. We have Do we have support? >> So, hold on a minute. [clears throat] [27:30] This should actually be separate items on the agenda if we're doing two [27:35] separate motions. I believe because we already made a motion to move postpone [27:41] this a month because it would take time for the letters to [27:43] » I don't think we need to postpone it. I just need to know how to put it in the [27:46] minutes. >> Oh, that's interesting. [27:48] » So, first, so we have have we already approved the language for the zoning [27:54] administrator code enforcement. >> We just did that. [27:58] » We've done that. So, so this is an addition. [28:02] » It should have been an addition to the >> what we can do. If we have an incident, [28:09] it's going to take time for letters to go out. [28:12] » So, if we don't, we could we could revisit it at the [28:17] » Well, I mean, I want to get the process in. I don't want to hold up people [28:22] getting into their houses. Well, the first thing I what what I'm saying is [28:27] there has to be four possibly five letters. That will take some time. [28:31] » That's probably three months. >> Oh, before somebody before even be able [28:37] I see. I see. >> Okay. So, we could put it off till next [28:39] month. >> Yeah. Just do that. [28:42] » We just sent our first letter. >> Okay. Then just do that just because I I [28:46] don't know how to >> Okay. [28:49] Okay. No problem. >> All right. [28:51] » So, yeah, jot that down. I'll put that on the agenda for next month. [28:55] » And the motion to tie for lack of support. [28:59] » Let's say >> put to rest. [29:06] » Okay. >> Any citizens comments? [29:10] » One quick question. Is there this job? Is that a formal application to apply [29:14] for the job or Well, we'll ask you um for interested applicants, send in a [29:20] resume. I was talking to you a couple weeks ago. I said I was interested and I [29:24] never heard that I had to do anything above that. [29:27] » Yeah. It's just that you know just we understand like it's the code [29:30] enforcement. Um I mean um Mr. Zenis I can get you a job description for you to [29:36] look it up. >> Oh, but it didn't have it did not have [29:40] the last number nine. >> Number nine. [29:44] » I've got it. >> So did you get number nine? [29:46] » Yes. >> Okay. [29:47] » Okay. All right. So you can come come talk to me and I can describe it more in [29:53] that in detail for you. >> Okay. [29:55] » Okay. >> Anyone else has questions? [30:01] » Um here's the um reports that I requested [30:05] from the Freedom of Information Act regarding the accidents at [30:10] intersections. And just to say this isn't complete for the fact that each [30:16] No, they're all separate. There's only one copy. [30:18] » Oh, >> at the top of each one 2024 Meiser and [30:22] Indian Trail. >> Uhhuh. [30:24] » 2025 Meiser. Now, this is why I'm saying for no good. Look at the total [30:30] incidents. They're exactly the same. Wow. [30:33] » So, I've been going back and forth with u the St. Clair County Sheriff officer [30:39] regarding it. >> She says that it's it's normal. This is [30:43] fine. We know at the corner of Meisner and [30:48] Palms that it's St. Clair County Sheriff that shows up, [30:52] » right? >> You have to request information for [30:54] exactly what you want. >> So that's what I I did. I wanted St. [30:58] Cloud Sheriff. >> Well, as I'm printing these out, I [31:01] realized if you look, it's Michigan State um letter. So I again emailed her. [31:08] The string of emails is just crazy. You can't talk. Like I'm like then somebody [31:14] needs to explain these reports to me because how can this be and even the [31:19] incidents within the total number is the same [31:23] » like reasons why the accident happened. >> Um and when you voicemail you get a [31:28] return email >> like there's nobody to actually say come [31:32] on let's go over these reports together. Let's just say [31:35] » the mission state police should call or >> uh no St. Clair County Sheriff. So that [31:39] now her answer yesterday was it's all the same though, [clears throat] [31:45] » but it wasn't the same when I were you talking to a clerk up there. Were you [31:49] talking to one of the um border patrol? Um [31:52] » um she's she's a um I mean I have her name and everything. [31:59] » Um but I want to say she's an officer, but you know how some work at the desk, [32:04] » right? Well, there's a there's um oh, I forget his name. Who's a deputy who's in [32:10] charge of the road patrol up there? >> Up there. [32:15] » This is her bottom of her email. >> Okay. [32:20] » So, I guess it doesn't say who she is. What she is. [32:23] » Okay. Captain patrol. I could get the captain of the road patrol. [32:29] [cough] You may have to after meeting your contact information. [32:37] And uh so I have an email back to her saying, "Wait, something's not right." I [32:43] didn't even look at these, but as soon as I seen the state logo, okay, that's [32:47] why the accidents are only five. If you look at Meer Palms, this is a 24. [32:52] » I believe though all like information on that that the sheriff's department does [32:57] funnel that to the state police and they do a lot of [33:01] » and that would be fine. If it is all one total, that's fine, too. I don't care. [33:05] The point is, I don't believe these totals are correct. So, [33:09] » all right. really just I I went to the road [33:12] commission meeting and I brought that up today this morning and and one of the [33:17] fellas um said that he had I'm not sure exactly where he was from [33:24] but but he he had gone down um Meister and almost didn't stop at Paul's road [33:33] and he thought it was because of the roundabout traffic being deterred when [33:39] they were putting that up and that's why there were so many accidents cuz there [33:42] was the people were unfamiliar >> then that could very well be um I know [33:48] cuz I talked to them before about a four-way here and they're hesitant [33:53] because Palms Road is a truck route. >> Yeah. [33:55] » Now they're more receptive when Church Road gets paid from Norway Highway to [34:01] Meisner a four-way stop there because either Church Road nor Meer are truck [34:05] truck routes. So, um, that's the one I know that's going to be the thing that [34:10] » they they did tell me they're going to look into it. [34:12] » Yeah, >> because like the Indian Trail that's not [34:15] in Castle. So, >> I was just using that as another [34:19] example. That report actually says the same each [34:23] year. >> I would like to see a warway at Meer and [34:26] the Palms. I think that didn't save. >> Well, I mean, I I don't want that. I [34:30] actually I would actually totally fight that. I would be standing at that corner [34:34] fighting it. Well, the the engineer was there today and and she said she would [34:39] look into it, too, >> right? So, [34:42] » um >> we'll see. [34:43] » There's just, you know, like I said last meeting, I'm not for the one at church [34:47] adviser either. >> Well, why? [34:50] » Because people are too busy in their own heads anymore to pay attention. And the [34:56] more things you have them pay attention to, the less it's going to get paid [35:00] attention. I bet though the people that live in the area will disapp [35:05] I live on a stop sign. I wish there wasn't one there. Go [35:12] on your way. Don't stop and squeal and everything else that comes with living [35:18] on a corner. >> I mean, you guys don't understand what [35:21] it's like living on a corner. >> Yeah. Church in in Liz near the summit [35:25] is going to be killed on that corner. >> Well, somebody's going to jail. [35:28] » I understand that. But that road they used to they don't nobody pays attention [35:32] on that corner. >> No. [35:34] » Yeah. >> And there could be some issues there [35:36] regarding when it used to be church road had to stop or misner had to stop and [35:42] church was the >> drive. Yeah. [35:44] » You know there's a lot of little changes that happened and [35:47] » well I I did that one years ago up on Grasset where Grasset used to be the [35:52] drive-thru for year. Okay. before we stopped there at um Gratchet and W. [35:58] Well, they Grashet was always the drive-thru. Well, they changed it so at [36:04] night there was a stop at Grath through W and so wrong. [36:09] » I I actually almost went through that one night because I used to own a shop [36:14] at the corner. >> No, that's confusing. [36:16] » That's a that area is that's a local road. [36:19] » It's a local >> Well, it's a county road, I should say, [36:22] » right? It shouldn't be that way that that crash should not be the one. [36:27] » I just had a few come in today. Um they just did it up in Grant Township where [36:33] they put one of these um the the for the speed the the radar thing that shows [36:39] that they say that actually lowers. So I'm thinking hey maybe like on my road [36:44] maybe a good thing. So I'm going to investigate. [36:47] » Amen. And then one other question [36:51] that you guys just moved into the general fund account. What happens and [36:56] what constitutes an emergency and does that money ever move back [37:01] » to the general? >> The road the road commission determines [37:04] whether it's or somebody calls and says, you know, we've got and it always [37:09] happens usually by the overpasses. it just crers out, you know, and um and [37:18] or the road commissioner will tell us or a resident will tell us then, you know, [37:22] we're not going through that. >> So every year we just automatically do [37:25] 20 and it's always useful. >> What it is then what they do there is [37:29] they'll just put some limestone down. They don't they don't come in grade that [37:34] because when they do at that time, especially in the frost, they'll just [37:37] turn that into soup. So what they do is they'll put some limestone down, level [37:42] it off a bit to deal with and limestone that stuff's cost. [37:49] » Thank you. >> Yeah. [37:50] » And the prices are due to increase. >> Okay. Any other questions? Yeah. [37:55] » Any other questions? >> Okay. Um board comments. [37:59] » I have one. Um, I contacted the grant program administrator from the MAMC [38:07] um for our reimbursement for the ramp and he said that it was included with [38:16] our request was included with their quarterly request to the MEDC. I don't [38:20] know who the MEDC is, but he said that he's hoping within the next two weeks [38:25] he'll get word and then the checks will be distributed. So, just following up on [38:29] that. >> Yep. So hopefully within the next month [38:32] we should get some money back. >> And the ramp project um we had a local [38:35] contractor work on it. He did a good job. It doesn't look finished cuz it's [38:40] not he's waiting for the um the weather the wood to age a bit and then he'll [38:45] come and refinish it. So all right that >> Okay, Gia. [38:51] » Okay. So, I went to the road commission meeting this morning and I found out and [38:57] I don't know if that was just me that didn't know because sometimes it is that [39:02] electric cars don't pay tax >> when they because they don't they don't [39:08] get gas. So, they don't pay tax on gas. >> So, they just charge. [39:12] » So, they have to pay more for their permits and stuff. [39:16] » Okay. >> I did not know that but thinking about [39:20] it. Yeah. It's >> weird. Mhm. [39:21] » Yeah. >> So, anyway, I found that out. Um, [39:26] let's see. The stone the stone prices are going to be available in February. [39:31] And then there's an annual meeting. So, you're going to get a [39:34] » email and there's different times. >> Yeah. We're always the road commission. [39:38] We always meet with the road commission in late February. [39:42] » 17th. >> Yeah. So, we'll um and we go up there. [39:46] Board members want to come. We discussed that give us the cost of what the [39:51] limestone with the chloride's going to be in different programs are doing. [39:57] » Shame. >> Okay. [40:01] » Yeah. >> So, Sanford Highway and Watams Road is [40:05] going to get um round about >> this year. [40:09] » What? I'm sorry. >> St. Highway and Watsams. [40:12] » Oh, they're going to get a roundabout. and Shay and Stargo. [40:19] » Shay and Star. [40:30] Did you see those big holes on the side? >> Yeah, I didn't like that. [40:34] » Wow. [40:39] » Let's see what else. [40:44] That's it. >> Okay. Thank you, Dan. [40:46] » Oh, but I have another question. I'm sorry. [40:50] » Okay. So, I got this I I don't know if it was today or yesterday's m and and [40:56] I'm looking at this for inside of Lancing. So, the different um [41:01] bills that were passed in December, >> I don't know if that's going to include [41:06] everybody in the whole state. landslits. >> The first 10 acres [41:14] » of a parent >> tract is to divide it up to 10 parcels. [41:18] » Yep. >> Mhm. [41:19] » 10 one acre. >> Yeah. But how can how can that be in a [41:25] rural community? I know >> that depends on wells. [41:29] » Yes. And septic fields. Yes. >> Well, yeah. [41:35] » Water. >> Yeah. But we're protected by our [41:38] » That's right. >> our zoning. [41:44] » Well, that's a good question. That's a good question. [41:49] » Yes. >> But and if and if they are, are they [41:53] going to supply us with water? >> Right. I mean, that's [42:00] » Well, it's interesting. Um folks, last week I was looking at the minutes from [42:06] 30 years ago and the planning commission and they talked about our cases width to [42:12] depth ratio for our lots is 20 to1. They talked about making it 4 to one. But [42:18] they their view at the time was having the long deep lots would preserve our [42:26] rural character because once you break apart land it's hard to put it back [42:31] together. >> Developers like big undeveloped lots. If [42:38] you go down 26 mile road, you see McCome Township with those big side bars. [42:43] » That's future grounds for subdivision cuz 10 years ago, 20 years ago, that was [42:48] on 23 mile road, those side cars. >> So, and that's one and I was thinking [42:55] that that was set back in the 60s, our thing. And uh I said, "Yeah, that that [43:01] would do that." So, Richmond Township, they have a thing where they do [43:05] agricultural preservation. They allow development by the road smaller lots but [43:09] behind them the bigger agricultural fields are protected. So but that was a [43:15] decision they made back at that time too. So um yeah they knew development [43:21] coming when 94 was put in in the early 60s through the township here. [43:28] » Okay. Any questions? >> Nope. network. [43:32] » Um I got a little postcard in the mail today um just as I was coming uh from [43:39] St. Clair County. It says their new 2025 um updated platin. So I'm buying one for [43:48] our house and I'd like to have one for the township just to see it's have 25 [43:53] years of growth and that's and splits and things like that. [43:57] » So that'll be good. I have with me. So, I'll um maybe put in an order tomorrow. [44:02] I think the platin mat itself is $45. [44:09] So, >> a new one. [44:12] » Okay. And I read I read something else in here and I can't find it now, but do [44:15] they move the election to May? >> No, there there's May is always set for [44:23] an election if it's there's like a school election or something. Okay. [44:25] Yeah. It's not the >> I haven't heard that we have anything. [44:30] » All right. >> Okay. Um Okay. I tal already talked [44:34] about um right now the church road paving right now. They're just they I've [44:40] been getting a lot of calls because they've been putting stakes and that [44:43] what they're going to do some of their surveying work. Um people have been [44:47] asking when they're going to do the paving. It's set for 2026 sometime. They [44:52] haven't did the engineering work. Once they do that and start to get some [44:56] quotes, they'll know more. Um the road commission did tell me the um director [45:02] that we're going to be doing a double chip seal on Springborn Lane, Mismir [45:08] Lane, and Lindsay Lane. That's that new surface preservation program. So that'll [45:14] be what they're going to spend it on this year. If the funding continues to [45:19] stay, next year we'll do putty cut lane and Sincler highway lane and [snorts] [45:24] any extra we could put toward if Sincler highway doesn't need it, we could put it [45:30] toward our limestone hall, our main limestone hall. [45:33] » But they're just doing the first mile of Church Road off of 26. [45:39] » Uh, no, they'll be doing the um two miles from Highway to Me. [45:46] So, what do you prefer? What do you think is going to happen with your truck [45:49] traffic then? >> Trust me, it's bad enough now on my You [45:54] say that's not a truck route. >> Yeah, [45:56] » it's a truck route. >> And it's not just tough trucking. [45:59] [laughter] >> Well, anyone that trucks that travel, it [46:02] should be local that actually live in the township or that. It's not a through [46:07] um >> Yeah, it's not to have a job. [46:10] » It's not supposed to know. Well, that's miser county road, but I could check [46:14] into that. >> West Highway when they posted that, that [46:17] eliminated a lot of that. So, [46:22] » Sler Highway is a local. >> Well, that's what it's going to be. [46:26] » No, >> that's what it's going to be. [46:29] » Are you serious? >> I think so. 55. [46:32] » It's 55 on Meer, >> which I would like to see somebody 55 [46:38] on. Yeah, there there's nobody driving unless you broke down the road. The [46:44] » the speed limit on our um limestone roads is 55 miles an hour unless posted. [46:51] Yeah. >> In order to go through that process, [46:54] you would have to get it's archer. You have to have the [46:59] director of road commission um representative from the sheriff's [47:02] department representative from the state police and from they do a study [47:08] » and then you have somebody to enforce it. [47:10] » Yeah. >> Copy. [47:13] » Yeah. That's the thing. The sh um residents on highway trucks. Okay. [47:20] Engine brake. Instead of using their regular brakes, they use the engine to [47:23] slow it down. And you always have >> Oh, is that what that means? [47:28] Jake, >> they would like a sign up. They have [47:32] further one further down on Marine City Highway near the roundabout. I mean [47:36] Fredmore Highway near the roundabout at lots. No engine break. Well, I talked to [47:42] the road commission. They said, "Well, you have to enforce it. It's on a county [47:46] road. The sheriff's they sit there parked a lot. [47:49] » I think they have one on King Road between 31." [47:52] » So, the thing is that I'm going to press for more on that. [47:55] » Yeah. Because yeah, that's a problem. Especially those folks, they're trying [47:59] to sleep at night, the trucks come down, >> that wakes them up from that. [48:04] » We had a sign last year someone had apparently there was a problem with uh [48:08] idiots passing school buses instead of stopping to let the kids go on and [48:12] someone I don't know who it was, but there was actually a trailer mounted [48:15] light right on there for I think for the summer. [48:18] » Yeah. What happened is it was there on my road and we got the sheriff's [48:23] department to monitor that for a while there because that there was people who [48:27] was the bus was there fourway >> and they passed it [48:31] » really >> I know somebody whose child was killed [48:36] that way >> off the bus is striking [48:40] » yeah you know like someone said well there's no house on your side but kids [48:44] are impulsive >> yes they are [48:46] » you know they can even look at they could be running [48:48] » a lot of times I don't even see him. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's just [48:52] » Yeah. But uh Okay. Anything else? >> That was [48:56] » okay. I think we're >> um Thank you for the questions and [49:00] Denny, thank you for your concern, your safety. That is very well intended and [49:05] appreciated. So, >> okay, we're up to a journ. [49:09] » Make a motion to adjurnn. >> All in favor? I motion carries. [49:21] » [music]
