The Harnett County Heroes Remembrance [0:21] presentation highlighted Ricky Brown. During public comment period, seven [0:28] individuals provided remarks. [music] [0:32] Four presentations took place. First, the American 250 Committee presented a [0:38] shadow box in honor of Harnett County and the 250th anniversary of the United [0:44] States. Then, Harnett County Schools presented [0:48] an attendance awareness month proclamation. [0:55] The Johnston-Lee-Harnett Community Action Group [music] [0:59] presentation took place and they provided information regarding the [1:03] programs they offer to the community. Human Resources gave a presentation [1:09] [music] regarding the exit survey and turnover [1:13] rate of employees. [1:16] The consent agenda included meeting minutes of July 20th and August 17th. [1:21] [music] [1:24] A discussion was held regarding changing the UDO to appendix B, fire code. [1:31] Action items included a request from the Public Information Office [1:35] » [music] >> to discuss an updated internal social [1:38] media policy for employees. This was approved. [1:43] A request [music] from Veteran Services to accept $70,000 [1:48] from Alliance Health [music] for Veterans Treatment Court [1:51] participants. This was approved. A request [music] from General [1:57] for approval of the North Carolina Department of Transportation [2:02] » [music] >> fiscal year 2027 [2:05] 5311 community transportation rural formula [2:10] grant. This was approved. A request from General Services to [2:17] submit a pre-application [music] for the US Department of Agriculture housing [2:22] preservation grant. This was approved. [2:28] A request from General Services to apply for [2:31] » [music] >> the Fayetteville Area Metropolitan [2:34] Planning Organization, also known as FAMPO, 5310 [2:39] capital grant program. This was approved. [2:45] A request from Harnett Regional Jetport to discuss a resolution requesting the [2:50] abandonment of portion of Airport Road. This was approved. [2:58] A request from Emergency Services regarding the fireworks application from [3:03] Pyro Shows for Campbell University's football season fireworks display. [3:09] This was approved. Then, a request from the Opioid Task [3:15] Force regarding the updated [music] strategic plan SOLVE 2.0. [3:22] This was approved. [3:27] A request from the senior staff attorney regarding approval of the updated [3:32] vehicle use policy. This was approved. [3:37] A request from the senior staff [music] attorney for the convenience of 85 [3:43] Gilchrist Lane in Erwin. This was approved. [3:50] During the county manager's report, the budget amendments were approved. [3:54] A motion to authorize the chairman to sign contract amendments exceeding the [3:59] manager's signature threshold was approved. [4:04] The tax rebates, releases, and refunds as [music] requested by the tax [4:09] administrator were approved. A motion to approve the resolution [4:15] [music] requesting the North Carolina Department [4:17] of Transportation to add several roads to the state's secondary road [music] [4:23] system. This was approved. For new business, Commissioner Jaggers [4:29] expressed [music] that the board should send letters to [4:32] the state legislator regarding property taxes for individuals over the age of 65 [4:39] who've been in their home for over a certain period of time.
