Hallmark town.

community feel. That's what I really
[0:12] enjoy about Athens.
>> Athens is so very [music] unique. We are
[0:16] that quaint, quintessential small town
that has heart [music] at every turn. We
[0:23] are experiencing quite a bit of growth.
The Athens of 2026
[0:27] is fun.
>> I like being able to walk downtown

and have dinner and walk home.
[0:34] » We have a tremendous
community [music]
[0:37] to bring your family up in.
If I'm going to be a servant of people,
[0:42] I've tried it well continuing on the
city [music] council. To do that, you
[0:46] have to have somewhat of a servant's
heart.
[0:48] » I think everybody has a heart for
service. They're here to make the city
[0:52] [music] a better place.
[0:55] We're the legislative body of the city.
>> We make [music] ordinances that affect
[1:00] the city. We approve budgets. The city
council is the financial [music] arm
[1:06] of city government. We work diligently
[music] to fill the needs of the
[1:11] community and be good stewards of the
money that we oversee.
