uh site tour in Fort Wayne end of next

us if we want to
[5:23] continue to renew that membership.
And just for for the record that one
[5:29] membership is that covers anyone in the
city. So anybody has access to that.

city employees.

information, those tools.

Um
[7:46] you will likely see in the paper that
tonight uh city council is going to be
[7:52] asked to pass an additional
appropriation ordinance for our budget.
[7:58] A little backstory of what happened
there when the fire department came to
[8:04] request the additional funding be used
for additional projects. Um this was a
[8:10] 2025 budgeted item.
So, when 2025 ended, that budget went
[8:16] away.
Uh so, when we
[8:20] approved that request, um
it had to come out of our 2026 budget,
[8:27] which we budgeted very tightly as far as
capital expenditures. Um there was a
[8:33] potential. We do know that we have the
uh the Sealine project may be under
[8:38] budget, and we would have been okay, but
we won't know that till later in the
[8:42] year. So, essentially, what
has to happen is because we are going to
[8:46] go over our budget, city council has to
approve the additional appropriation.
[8:51] They have to approve that change to our
budget.
[8:54] Um
it's just an error on on our end. We
[8:58] didn't
consider that take that in consideration
[9:01] when it when it happened. Um it's kind
of why
[9:06] I think Lori's been more
clear on on some of these extensions
[9:11] that's got to happen this year. Um and
and we've had we've had some
[9:15] conversations, and I've promised her
that I'll try to pay more attention and
[9:19] and not let us do that again. So, um but
that's all it really is. It's just a uh
[9:24] it's it's a technical thing that we have
to do um to make sure that we're
[9:28] appropriated our budget. We have the
money. Um it's that's that's not a
[9:32] problem. We just didn't plan to spend
it.
[9:35] Um now, the next step to that, we do
have, of course, the capital improvement
[9:39] plan, or not
What is the
[9:43] the other budget thing we have to do,
the
[9:46] the spending plan. Yeah.
Um,
[9:49] we do have room in the spending plan, so
that's that's why it wasn't an issue. We
[9:54] put We put a little extra in the capital
improvement budget in the spending plan.
[9:57] Um, so that's not going to be an issue
for us. We don't have to adjust that.

wanted to make sure you
[10:04] have the budget plan
[10:07] » And we will. So, yeah, and I've had some
conversations with the mayor. We are
[10:10] putting together a budget. I will get
that sent out to you ASAP. Um, if that

[10:18] adjust that, cuz we will have to get
that passed too.
