traveling

travelers
[11:07] north and um it was 39 years ago that
our organization popped up. We didn't
[11:13] start in the 1800s, but we still have a
excellent track record of the community
[11:20] and um we are so excited to celebrate
this because our work usually in a
[11:27] community behind the scenes our job
enjoy
[11:36] this is our opportunity to sign a little
bit of what
[11:42] our administration and highlight.

I appreciate the opportunity to get the
[19:09] annual report of the landmarks
commission. Uh this is
[19:15] for years of the commission and
the work of our commission
[19:22] prior year.
All right. So the purpose of this report
[19:29] is what an ordinance we're required to
about this time each year and in 2025
[19:37] commission to 12 times throughout the
year of the activities
[19:45] commission currently made up of seven
we're allowed to members currently

[20:01] in October for those appreciate
our community. In particular, I want to

[20:25] commission for approval. In addition to
the commission, we also have a site
[20:30] visit subcommittee which is comprised of
members of the commission and members of
[20:35] public. And the other thing I'd like to

[20:54] do here is really the The bread and
butter of what we deal with at
[20:59] commission is we call
application specific
[21:06] deals with any alterations
[21:10] of building
[21:18] the things people can apply for
your roof
[21:26] sidewalk.
driveways
[21:30] and windows just
some of the things that can do
[21:38] that. This application is what we
provide to public
[21:52] focus on the exterior of the home and
the property of the
[21:56] anything
home obviously building permits to go
[22:01] through that process
but that falls out
[22:07] or what
[22:16] people are always surprised to know this
but we remind people that we have four
[22:21] historic districts
park being the largest
[22:26] properties
[22:30] small and mighty districts
[22:36] and then the Milwaukee Road resistance
[22:48] all these properties are tax credits.
[22:55] In addition to four districts, we have
46 individually listed
[23:05] charitable foundation.
[23:09] We're not
here, but we're
[23:15] property
[23:19] landmark here in the city.

[23:38] So this is breakdown 2025.
We had a 25% increase
[23:53] last year
40% by step. So the majority of workers

[24:25] a lot of players a lot

[24:33] commission likely work very well
together. We operate pretty efficient
[24:40] and we really appreciate learning about
project.

the notable project that we dealt with

restoration that building

project that's wrapping up
[25:18] church
[25:22] campus
[25:34] and then 16.

[25:51] these two projects in particular
[25:57] position
a lot of work in the last two years.

[26:15] all the properties that come to us
through that process through
[26:22] our community.
We look forward to their investment but

[26:33] we look forward to continuing our work
