[0:49] surgeries we thank you for the employees
of the city all the hard work that they
[0:57] do and we don't always show them as much
appreciation as we could and should and
[1:02] all of us we ask that you keep us
mindful in this coming week the holiday
[1:09] that we're about to celebrate keep us
mindful of the the reason that we
[1:14] celebrate the importance though family
and friends and loved ones as part of
[1:22] our celebrations in times of getting
together we ask now that you be with us
[1:27] here as we deliberate the business of
the city tonight
[1:30] keep it helped us to have open minds and
open hearts make all the decisions that
[1:36] we do make limits to the flag of the
United States of America and to the
[1:49] Republic for which it stands one nation
under God indivisible with liberty and

located nany East Main Street public
[4:00] hearing is also scheduled for January
the 8th their new business we have
[4:07] annual business license renewals will do
these and individually we first one is
[4:15] beer and wine pouring is for classic
kitchen that's the only one so with that
[4:21] to have a motion to approve
[4:32] one beer package request Kalen
interstate be paid to have a motion to
[4:38] approve so moved
[4:47] there's one wine packages for Callen
drug company in discussion all those in
[4:56] favor how those opposed and we have
several people gathered here tonight I'm

on my list is mr. Crowley so we'll start

would truly perform to the best of my
[6:44] abilities best my ability the duties of
City Councilman post for due to the City
[6:50] Council and quote for by adopting and
enforcing by document in enforcing such
[6:55] measures this majors as in my judgment
as in my judgment shall be best
[7:00] calculated to be best calculated to
broom up to promote the general welfare
[7:05] to demote the general welfare of the
inhabitants of the city of calendar the
[7:10] habit of the city of camera and the
common interest there

or other services but still golf earns

dollar we spend the golf debt is over
[8:35] and no more three hundred and seventy
five thousand dollar a year bond debt
[8:40] the revolving loan balance is three
hundred sixty five thousand dollars
[8:44] which is well below the thirty percent
cash to total assets requirement by DCA
[8:52] the general fund has three million four
hundred twenty six thousand dollars
[8:57] investments aren't in about 1.5 percent
in government securities our Khafre is
[9:03] done I said we which is our audit it'll
be interesting to see how well we do on
[9:10] June the 30th with our fund balance
Walker cost
[9:17] cost $300,000 of school auditorium
$200,000 the airport hanger designs
[9:23] $150,000 in commercial design guidelines
around $40,000 and these were unfunded
[9:30] expenses under utilities the impressive
thing there is fifteen point eight
[9:36] million dollars in revenue reserve
investments which aren't about five
[9:41] hundred dollars a day and interest but
the downside is we we couldn't even
[9:46] begin to charge enough and sewer to make
it profitable that's that's a loser
[9:52] it'll always be a loser and everybody
needs to remember that water is a
[9:57] marginal and electricity is about
staying competitive with Georgia Power
[10:01] and North Georgia EMC I think our
service level for electricity is as good
[10:08] as if not better than our competitors I
think a lot of people agree with that
[10:23] mr. mayor before you adjourn comments
this is the last meeting for me it's
[10:29] been thirteen and a half years it's been
my great honour to serve the citizens of
[10:34] Calhoun Georgia and the best abilities
I guess thirteen and a half years ago I
[10:39] didn't pay much attention to to this
oath that you guys just took it's got
[10:45] some very strong words in it and let me
challenge y'all to remember it it says
[10:49] by adopting and enforcing such measures
as in my judgement
[10:55] she'll be best calculated to serve a
community I know we've had some
[10:59] controversial issues and I really don't
see a negative with that it's filled
[11:04] this audience up every single week it
and we used to meet with one person or
[11:09] two people so you guys are hearing great
support continue to do that it's your
[11:13] city know what's going on ray George the
city's in good hands with you two men
[11:19] you're professionals and you've been
there and you've done that just remember
[11:23] Calhoun is growing and changing
don't shackle it down let it be what it
[11:28] can be the best it can be
