unless [7:45] anybody has any questions any questions of city engineer [7:53] okay thank you thanks ron moving on community development our [7:57] interim community development director steve golden good evening steve thank [8:01] you mayor and council just say i have not no action items just a quick uh [8:04] update on some things that that's going on in the community development building [8:07] department attorneys are currently crisp asia and [8:11] mike stiff are currently working with gw the individual had the bid [8:16] or proposal for this city hall site the 1.8 million dollar proposal [8:22] on a contract we will present that once we um [8:26] have that finalized uh the price will be 1.8 million dollars there'll be some [8:30] stipulations in the contract that talks about time frame on the tear [8:34] this building down obviously when we move and make sure they don't tear down [8:38] until we're in the other city until the new city center [8:42] and a site plan that we all agree upon that's obviously heard loud and clear [8:46] from the council that you want to see the site plan and what's going to come [8:49] here prior to any sales so that's being worked on right now [8:53] we've had several meetings with developers on the index property the 40 [8:58] acre parcel behind amazon we've had several meetings regarding the 74 acres [9:02] as we're reimagining the 74 acres the heightener property we met with west [9:06] point oceans atlantic and the heightener group [9:10] and we clearly told them this is what we want single-family for sale or townhome [9:15] for sale homes with retail [9:18] potentially some apartments but no more single-family rental uh we said it's got [9:22] to be for sale for the single family and for the townhomes so in the process of [9:28] putting together a land plan that meets your vision of that property [9:33] gas and wash uh met with them and talked to them this morning they want to move [9:37] forward and be under construction this summer however we still need to do a gap [9:41] analysis on their tiff request which was never done in the past and [9:46] we need to make sure engineering is complete and [9:50] they had made reference that they were looking to do the gas and wash and the [9:54] retail at the same time the 13 000 square foot retail center at the same [9:58] time and i think we should hold them to it if [10:01] we're going to allow a gas station go on the corner we need to make sure within a [10:04] certain time frame that that's under construction at the [10:08] same time so we're working on that and then the [10:10] last thing we're reimagining our web page under the [10:13] community development and building department [10:16] we are putting in several links to any map that developer could need to [10:22] utilize to make a decision to come here we're putting together a vacant property [10:26] list commercial retail property list that you'll click on and you'll see the [10:31] vacant property and who the broker is this will be a very uh user friendly web [10:35] page for potentially developers so that they can get all the information they [10:39] need about zoning streets tif districts whatever will have [10:45] all those type of maps and links on the web page so some sort of things we're [10:49] working on steve can i just say something [10:52] thank you for that professional explanation and [10:56] something that we should have seen all along thank you [11:00] so much for giving us that and the highlight reel and all the other things [11:05] i really appreciate it i i can only presume many other people do [11:10] thank you for your efforts thank you appreciate it thank you [11:15] any other questions of community development [11:20] okay thanks steve thank you uh moving on to our police department our [11:24] police chief thanks clark good evening evening mayor council this evening i [11:27] have the contract with julia township animal control for services [11:32] we discussed this at last week's work session [11:36] there's a in the contract there's a fee increase from [11:39] the previous 979 19 to 1250 per month there are other areas in the contract [11:45] that allows the animal control to patrol for stray animals [11:50] they will have a hold a holding facility for animals for us [11:54] and they will be at one point uh in helping us enforce [11:59] our animal control ordinances so um as we discussed i'm just asking for [12:03] approval of this contract so move this president second [12:08] we have motioned by all the person overland seconded by all the women [12:11] dissolved for a resolution to prove an intergovernmental agreement with the [12:14] joliet township animal control questions or comments [12:18] roll
