we received five bids for the projects
[16:38] and um, they're summarized in that
table. For rounding purposes, Ship
[16:42] Electric came in at 2.5 million,
Chesapeake Turf LLC at 3.1 million,
[16:48] David A. Bramble at 3.5 million, and Sue
Construction at 4.8 million, and NO
[16:54] Contracting came in at 7.3 million.
Uh, we found that Ship Electric is
[16:59] considered non-responsive. They failed
to meet all the requirements including
[17:03] providing the experience and qual-
qualification certification.

[17:12] » And then, if you go to the next slide.

lowest responsive bidder, they also
[17:36] demonstrated the most extensive relevant
experience
[17:41] um of any bidder including pump station
rehabilitation,
[17:44] manual and pipe installation, and just
general civil site development.

We know funding is limited and Justin
[17:54] worked really hard to secure additional
funding. And so, as lowest responsive
[17:59] bidder, Chesapeake Turf will be awarded
on a limited scope due to the funding
[18:04] limitations. So, we're reducing the
scope of work and also working on some
[18:08] value engineering um to install the
Gerald Ditch Pump Station.
[18:14] So,
we recommend a contract award to them in
[18:17] approximately 1.7 million dollars. And
Bay Land also provided a construction
[18:22] management and inspection proposal
for 176,000
[18:26] dollars. So, the recommended award total
is 1,879,338
[18:33] dollars and 99 cents.

considering a roads planning grant. So,
[28:58] this is for council, you know, we may
have to get together again soon. Um you

an opportunity a week ago. Well, we just
[29:06] have a possibility there might be a
planning grant available that we could
[29:09] start looking at roads. It's a federal
grant, you know, but if we could get it
[29:14] together, we want to try. So, if that is
a possibility right now, Jackie is
[29:18] looking into it. She's reaching out to
the funding source to see if it's
[29:21] something that makes sense for us to do.
Um and if it does, I'm going to call on
[29:25] you guys for another quick meeting where
she would outline what it would entail,
[29:30] and then you guys could make a decision.
Cuz I think it's due on the 9th of
[29:33] October. Am I Am I correct?
Right. And actually it just came out.
[29:36] When we found out August 27th. Yeah, so
it just came out. So, it's not like we
[29:40] sat on it or we missed it. It is really
how the grant world works. A lot of
[29:44] times they'll put these things out and
you don't have a lot of lead time. But
[29:47] she's done a lot of research, and I
think if we can do We can't do the
[29:51] implementation grant, the construction.
We're not ready for that. But there's a
[29:54] possibility we might have uh we might
look at the planning grant. So, I just
[29:58] want to give you guys a heads-up about
that. Um and again, my my hats off to
[30:03] everyone who did the crab derby, the
chamber, and the volunteers. I thought
[30:07] this year reminded me of some of the old
days. Um I was really Yeah, I was really
[30:11] pleased, and the atmosphere was just
really good. And when I talked to Danny,
[30:15] he had said he thought there were more
people here um like first-timers that
[30:19] have been here for many, many years. Um
I thought it was great. Um also, I want
[30:24] to thank all of the volunteers. We're
seeing the community step up, and that's
[30:28] a wonderful thing. And we saw some folks
that were edging. They don't want to be
[30:31] named, but we saw some folks who got out
there and did some work to help us out,
[30:36] and we appreciate that. You know, the
Lioness, um they have reached out, and
[30:40] And looking at some things that we can
do to help beautify the entrance to the
[30:43] city again. Um and of course they do the
planning for us. So we're saying
[30:47] citizens step up and that means so much
to us. So definitely we appreciate all
[30:51] the work that you guys are doing. Um
