[27:41] Detroit youth represented us at. Yes, marina circuits in Abu
[27:46] Dhabi. Congratulations, you guys. Haley from the Boys and Girls
[27:49] Club of southeastern Michigan. The Mobility Industry Club is a
[27:53] new partnership between Covid-19 the world's first professional autonomous racing
[27:58] team, Pensky corporation, the Detroit Grand Prix and a black
[28:03] bottom ventures together. These partners aim to cultivate and empower
[28:10] the next generation of mobility talent, providing hands on experience
[28:15] and lead ahead opportunities in the mobility industry. Youth in
[28:20] this program are exposed to and gets to dive into
[28:24] autonomous racing and mortar sports, transportation artificial intelligence, robotics, research
[28:30] and development, and I think. It's safe to say that
[28:34] our young people are onto something. The youth here today
[28:37] and mobility industry club placed. Fifth place overall. In the
[28:42] competition. Coming in points. 25 seconds from the college team
[28:48] and only 1 second behind the winning team. Congratulations. You
[28:51] guys. These high school age youth represented Detroit on a
[28:56] global stage and placed fifth in the world. I am
[29:00] blown away at the challenge before us today and honored
[29:03] to recognize them. Their hard work, passion and commitment is
[29:11] admirable and we should all be very proud of them
[29:14] and their accomplishments and for what's to come. They are
[29:17] rooted in the richness. And opportunity of Detroit embodying the
[29:21] spirit of the city and their future is very bright.

[31:10] these young people. What an amazing journey they've had. They
[31:15] were the last team to enter this global competition. We
[31:18] weren't sure how it would turn out. Bringing a group
[31:21] of kids together and finding an instructor last minute, but
[31:24] we thought it was certainly worth the try and opportunity.
[31:27] And they continued on to be the only team, this
[31:30] was the only team representing the United States. Of America
[31:33] at this portal classification. They beat out all the other
[31:37] high school teams, all the other collegiate teams, and they
[31:40] were the number one high school team globally. And they
[31:45] certainly are deserving of the spirit of Detroit. Thank you
[31:47] so much for recognizing them. They absolutely exemplify everything we

[32:13] today. I went with them to Abidabi on the trip,
[32:17] and they did a phenomenal job. Just seeing them work
[32:20] as engineers daily, putting in the coding, going back, testing
[32:23] the coding, and then. Collaborating amongst themselves. Deliberating and figuring
[32:29] out argumenting for who thinks their code should work. And
[32:35] different entities, and they did a phenomenal job. We couldn't
[32:38] be more proud of. Them just want to acknowledge. Jacob.

[32:44] name wasn't interested. But Jacob is an 8th grader, rising
[32:47] 9th grader that participated in the program. But you wouldn't

[35:11] 17. Others will start July eigth. Some of them will
[35:15] be a nine week program for the summer. Others will
[35:17] be a six week program, and then we'll continuously have
[35:20] our programming year round through fall, winter, spring, summer. Accordingly.

[40:24] like they are guests. Illegal cameras. Listening to devices in
[40:30] my room. I can't even shower in peace because. They
[40:33] are recording everything I do. In that facility, and I've
[40:37] been going to Avalan and my advocate every session that
[40:41] I had was recorded. So I said they are working
[40:44] with Detroit police officers to conspire to cover up my
[40:48] rape, so. The detroit dte. Do t all the city
[40:54] official workers. I have dates and times. And numbers of
[41:00] their vehicles. This thing going on for quite some time.
[41:04] And I am very upset concerning the issue about. Them
[41:10] stalking me. And violating my constitutional rights, laws and regulations

[41:19] have to show three things that they do. That's illegal

[50:22] I am protesting. In 2020, when S and T Enterprise
[50:26] abruptly left the city without managing. The municipal cemeteries. I
[50:31] was called on a Sunday evening at 11:30 p.m. And
[50:34] asked if I was interested in temporarily managing the cemetery
[50:38] until a bid could be released. Out of my care
[50:43] and love for the city of Detroit. I temporarily closed
[50:46] my monument company to come to the aid of the
[50:50] city. The next morning, I was on call at 08:00
[50:53] a.m. With the senior management of the general. Services department.
[50:57] I was at Gethsemane within an hour with a team
[51:00] which was supposed to be for a three month assignment
[51:03] that turned into a six month. And then one year,
[51:07] my first day. At this. Have you filed a formal

[59:29] One of the things that helped Comey young get elected
[59:32] is the fact that the police department executive staff and
[59:35] a lot of their officers was predominantly of one race,
[59:39] and more and more of the people in the city
[59:40] of Detroit was the number race that is drifting again.
[59:45] That could be major problems for the future of this
[59:47] city. Just looking at. How different people are treated differently.
[59:54] Look at open a day Tiger stadium. You have a
[59:57] lot of people who live outside the city who come
[1:00:00] downtown, smoke, drank, urinating. In public, hardly nothing happens. But
[1:00:05] you have black and brown people to have events, and
[1:00:09] they are micromanaged. And hostility is going to keep growing.
[1:00:16] It needs to be greater incentives to make sure more
[1:00:18] of our officers, and especially the command officers. Live inside
[1:00:22] the city. This city is changing. It appears to more
[1:00:27] and more, especially young people. I'm a senior, but it
[1:00:30] appears to more and more young people like we have
[1:00:33] an occupying army here. That's keeping certain people in their
[1:00:38] place, so. I encourage you to do more to try
[1:00:43] to change this trend that's been happening for the last

[1:54:29] of Detroit, she would be over a grandma's house pretty.
[1:54:32] Much every week, multiple times. And she lived in Sterling
[1:54:36] heist. That, again, was on her driver's license. But she
[1:54:40] was in Detroit. All the time. She was killed, unfortunately,
[1:54:45] in Detroit, and mom is looking to get a secondary
[1:54:48] street. Sign on behalf of her. So again, that is
[1:54:52] something that is definitely debatable, but I just wanted to
[1:54:54] put it out there that it's not just one individual.
[1:54:57] That. This would be considered to potentially assist, but also.
[1:55:02] Others in advance and want to also indicate that in
[1:55:06] order for any of these names to move, forward. We
[1:55:09] talked about this in committee. There would have to be
[1:55:11] still a very high threshold for that individual to move
[1:55:14] forward. It would need one member in addition to three
[1:55:19] others. Who would co sign and that will make them
[1:55:22] only eligible at that point, but would not guarantee their
[1:55:26] ability. To. Guarantee their secondary street sign, so I wanted
[1:55:31] to make sure we put that out in the open.

[1:56:05] innocent people killed in this city. Who were residents of
[1:56:08] this city. Whose parents or loved ones or guardians would
[1:56:13] want a street named after them. And I think if
[1:56:15] we make this decision, which I'm not going to support,
[1:56:18] we open up a floodgate. People who visited NFL draft.
[1:56:22] What if they were killed here? It didn't happen. We
[1:56:26] just would open up the floodgate for all people to
[1:56:28] come in, then we're. Opening up ourselves to potential liability
[1:56:31] or mean lawsuit. Well, you did it for this person.

[1:56:37] have our ordinance. I don't think it should be amended.
[1:56:41] To in this regard for this particular case. So I
[1:56:43] cannot support this. And again, people are killed. In this

[1:58:35] the contributions of those folks who were historical and made
[1:58:38] an impact on the city of Detroit would be and
[1:58:41] how they would be remembered and to ensure that floodgates
[1:58:44] weren't open, so just anyone could come in. But I
[1:58:48] also think that as I have looked at the ordinance
[1:58:51] and the protections that have been placed. In there. Has
[1:58:54] not been. A couple of ordinances that have come in
[1:58:59] front of us, but there has not been more. Contention
[1:59:02] or disagreement most of the time from this council. Until
[1:59:06] these type of street signs have come. We put the
[1:59:08] ballots out. We're here three. Or four or five times
[1:59:11] going back and forth, because that is the process. And
[1:59:14] then we ultimately come into a resolution. What made me
[1:59:17] comfortable with this ordinance was it does not seem that
[1:59:20] the floodgates are going to be open because you have
[1:59:23] to have one council member to sponsor. It, then three
[1:59:26] additional coun. Council members to co sign on that. And
[1:59:29] so I think that provides a level of protection and
[1:59:32] added protection. And I also will note this, because I
[1:59:36] get where folks are going. This is a sensitive issue.
[1:59:39] But I also don't want to negate the fact that
[1:59:41] there are individuals throughout the entire United States of America
[1:59:44] that have made significant contributions to. The city of Detroit.
[1:59:48] Whether they were killed here or whether they were not,
[1:59:51] Malcolm X was not. Killed here. And there's a street
[1:59:54] sign, first, not secondary, named after him, Martin Luther king.
[1:59:58] Same thing. Many of the folks who receive street signs,
[2:00:02] by the way, have helped found it here. But it
[2:00:05] is arguable to even african. Americans that their contribution to
[2:00:08] the african american community was significant enough for us to
[2:00:12] even keep the names on those street signs. So I
[2:00:14] do believe it is a case by case basis. I
[2:00:17] do. Believe that in this ordinance, it has provided protections
[2:00:20] for folks to say, hey, if four council members can
[2:00:23] say this person made a significant contribution to our city.
[2:00:27] They can move forward in the process, and then the
[2:00:29] ultimate protection for any ordinance that comes in. Front of
[2:00:32] us is that it has to be passed by a
[2:00:35] majority of folks who are sitting at that table. I
[2:00:38] don't know how many more or additional protections that we
[2:00:41] will need. Relative to this ordinance. And so that's why
[2:00:45] I am very supportive of this wardace. I want to
[2:00:47] be. Vocal. I was in disagreement of the ordinance. And
[2:00:50] two members. Santiago Romero. Romero's team. They went back. They
[2:00:54] put teeth in this ordinance. To ensure that anyone can
[2:00:57] just not come here and get a secondary street sign
[2:01:00] named in the city of Detroit and that the council
[2:01:04] also. Will always have a say so if this ordinance
[2:01:08] is passed. And so, Mr. President, that is my two
[2:01:11] cent. And I wanted to express that because I was
[2:01:13] at the same place at first as well for secondary
[2:01:16] street signs, but I do think it is important to
[2:01:19] notice that those protections I believe have been provided. Thank

[2:02:05] him his fair share for the work that he did
[2:02:08] here in the city, for the work that has continued
[2:02:10] to be done here in the city, I think it's
[2:02:12] incredibly disrespectful and dismissive to. Simply boil this down to
[2:02:18] opening of the floodgates when myself and my team has
[2:02:21] been working so incredibly hard to be able to follow
[2:02:24] the guidance given to us by the historical board. Designation
[2:02:28] by our pro thms office, by our colleagues, to be
[2:02:31] able to give Vincent again a rightful recognition that he
[2:02:35] deserves. So I hope that. We bring this back in
[2:02:37] one week, that we figure out a way to give
[2:02:40] him the recognition. That he deserves, because this is not
[2:02:44] simply giving someone. And I understand there are many people
[2:02:47] that born, die here who are worthy of recognition. But

[2:29:16] community office hours are back in June. Beginning Monday, June

[2:29:25] June 5. Via Zoom and on Facebook. We're going to
[2:29:29] be joined by Bfeed on the Department of Appeals and
[2:29:32] hearings to talk about blight and code enforcements and just
[2:29:36] want to share for the record and ask that our
[2:29:38] lane state's university president please meet with her students to
[2:29:42] discuss. Their demands of the university and ask that our
[2:29:46] DPD officers let our students protest. I have reached out
[2:29:50] to the chief of police have yet to hear any
[2:29:53] confirmation whether or not the city will be involved. In
[2:29:58] stopping protests from happening. Rightfully so, I ask that we

[2:30:13] feedback, looking for additional residents of the city of Detroit
[2:30:17] to fill out the survey, mental health assessment survey. It's
[2:30:21] 19 questions, confidential. We only want to know what zip.
[2:30:24] Code. Codes you live in. Don't want to know what
[2:30:26] your name is or any other information. Because that information
[2:30:30] is, in fact, very sensitive, and we would like to
[2:30:32] treat it as such if you are seeking the survey
[2:30:36] which we hope you are. Real simple. Go to Google,
[2:30:39] type in protect your crown. Detroit makes it real easy.
[2:30:42] Protect your crown. Detroit and you will find the survey
[2:30:47] 19 easy question confidential. We've also released a theme song
[2:30:52] to go along with the campaign to bring awareness to
[2:30:56] mental health treatment and concern. It is also called protect

[2:31:02] all musical platforms. So looking forward to seeing the results
[2:31:07] of the survey so that we can provide the best
[2:31:10] mental health treatment and gather the resources that are needed
