[1:07] McClendon do it gusty breeze yeah rusty working here [1:12] rusty shoulder here here [2:15] okay so the approval the minutes a night will be over the regular meeting [2:19] Mandrake 15 and budget workshop minutes of January have the minutes by insurance [2:46] and ready and all the wallpaper of [2:57] petitions and communication I have a motion for the petitions of ok petitions [3:07] and communications partner and Community Service Award by brandy Salem manager [3:11] you [3:21] using council members and members of the community tonight mr. hero I'd like to [3:27] possess the first which I think would be a pretty regular award but we're going [3:32] to probably have a community partner and Community Safety Award and tonight we're [3:39] gonna award that to the Lake Erie transit bus company give him a [3:42] background later E Transit has been providing us transportation for shop [3:48] with a cop last several years you know it's a great party Christmas we raise [3:51] money and Bob on it we take some underprivileged kids shopping Christmas [3:55] and they do a fantastic job providing that service free to us and that way [4:01] that they come here the buses all decked out Santa's here who hand out candy [4:06] canes it's a fantastic time and there's such a great part of that so we like to [4:09] recognize that I know there's at least three members from that right so mr. [4:28] Vieau I think maybe else wipers join us forward Lake your chances World War two [4:38] Nepalese to our partner community safety presented to make your transit an [4:43] appreciation for your service from hubby please permit December 2018 yes [5:48] [Music] [6:05] [Music] [6:19] well why are you doing that just you want to cargo is at the Michigan [6:25] Association Chiefs of these conferences so two things I want to share me tonight [6:33] number one his annual volunteer at police service with one yeah I'm very [6:39] proud to serve I actually supervised a group and there are a couple members of [6:42] their today these two were I think Brad and John would you stand up please [6:46] Janice double roll John's also reserved lots of course but these two are 102 16 [6:51] people that we have that are community and not community members that gives so [6:55] much to this this time I'm not sure if you know how much they do for us way [6:59] they've donated 1875 hours this past year for a number things I call it on [7:05] the dips that helped us set the mayfly with parking a traffic direction it [7:10] helps with parades they check out our senior citizens who are homebound it run [7:15] cars to the shop or me to get maintenance do things with your office [7:19] isn't just anything they're all hopeless one good active community do such a lot [7:24] students at once recognized them tonight first of all I also wanted to tell you [7:27] that those eighteen they're ours that Cooper ahead to having to pay a police [7:31] officer do that would equal 8 $41,000 so I mean they're getting so much to the [7:36] community their time I would hope you would join me in saluting them [7:44] thank you so much part two this is a covering for sergeant Platt who's in [7:49] charge of our reserve officer program and most of you they don't build up a [7:53] case about your Police Service Program to start by mr. su Hampton PD was [7:58] started in 2010 process I did before and the volunteers are unarmed citizens who [8:04] just do multitask the police department the difference between they and reserve [8:09] officer is that reserve officers have additional training they have trained to [8:14] carry a firearm they're here to assist us they act as a [8:17] police officer along with us so it kind of doubles our presence a lot of times [8:21] they live with our officer and be nice to do him a little extra top which is [8:24] really great I have to the reserve officers here tonight between Mr Barclay [8:28] Barnett and dirties there at all they are also volunteers for us and they [8:34] donated one thousand twenty thirty thousand two hundred thirteen and a half [8:40] hours since past year which in essence a this was about twenty seven thousand [8:45] dollars in personnel cost and they do a multitude of task force as well as well [8:50] as writing with us helping with the parades [8:53] and anything else - so I wanted to give us a public recognition and thank them [8:56] as well thank you [9:01] mr. lesson we all have people are surely deserve our search party from these [9:05] pictures yes there's a sufficiency shock we got it took a couple of with
