I do always have to look at the agenda so I can read that name correctly. [0:21] Item number one, discuss for the nine minutes of the March 20, 26 meetings. [0:39] second motion has been made to approve and been seconded all in favor. Yes. Yes. [0:46] Any else? Okay, that passes. Item number two, discussing for tonight recruitment [0:52] bonus. [0:55] This is what guy wanted to question. Okay. A guy, did you have any thoughts on how [1:02] you want to structure that, do you want it to offer that to you? [1:09] I think any recruit that comes on and serves for, you know, we have to have a period six [1:16] months a year or something that part of the hiring that they will list down on a paper [1:22] who recruited them, who convinced them to become an EMT, whether that's just an EMT or a [1:27] garage leader, whoever that we put the bonus to them, I think. [1:32] just limited garage leads. We may be losing out on some recruitment. I think [1:37] should just be across the board to ever recruit some. And whatever the board [1:43] feels like, that bonus should look like, you know, $500 to be, I think, something [1:51] might be comfortable with. [1:54] Yeah. [1:56] Six months or a year. [1:59] So right now, on new recruits, we pay 600 bucks [2:06] after they granted this for. [2:09] To the recruiter, to the new hire. [2:13] To the new hire. [2:14] To the new hire. [2:14] But this is first. [2:16] Understand. [2:17] I was just telling you what we pay. [2:18] So we pay a new hire bonus. [2:21] and that's how much do you say six hundred and that's after they've [2:25] ran six months or did you get so many hours or so many months they have to [2:30] run regularly for six months okay well I think that would be probably rather than [2:39] have to mix it up now and say we're gonna do this in a six month period for the [2:43] EMT and wait another six months for the for the recruiter I think you both at [2:48] six months and I'd say 500 and I guess with that I'd maybe say if they put down two names that we [3:00] split at 250 each or [3:05] something along them lines that will pay up to $500 maybe I guess with a [3:12] criminal idea. My only question is is it in the budget currently to do something like this or do [3:19] we wait to budget it. I did hear we had 320,000 pts. That would be my only [3:33] question and concern is we say yes but then we don't have no money to fund it [3:38] right? [3:40] I think we can make it. It sounds like a lot of money but how many [3:45] I mean, if we get 10, that's 5,000 a year. [3:50] That's amazing. [3:51] Yeah. [3:51] We got 10. [3:52] We got 10. [3:53] I think we've come up with 5,000. [3:57] All of us people take in the class, but if you get something, it's actually referred by any [4:00] PMT and coach like, hey, come do this. [4:03] That's going to be less. [4:05] Yeah. [4:05] And they give that six month commitment. [4:09] I mean, I've seen it work at other places where they give their employees, you know, a bonus if someone hires on because of them, they refer to them and stuff. [4:20] So in the last class, like, take Valerie was probably the only one that really would claim over for her old from up. [4:27] Yeah. [4:29] She and I can know that she and I can have some arm together. [4:35] Oh. [4:36] Oh, [4:42] Oh, [4:43] Oh, [4:43] Oh, [4:44] Oh, [4:49] Oh, [4:50] Oh, [4:51] I can't be that big before you get there who we out. [4:53] I can't burn the way here, but out one of the two. [4:57] Oh my God. [4:58] Queen, I'll go call the animal. [5:00] I'm going to have to have an eye. [5:01] No. [5:02] I'll call the animal. [5:03] I'm just wondering if we can pause this somehow real quick. [5:12] This one. [5:17] Make a way to pause a minute. [5:19] I'll make a motion that we go to recess for however long we need it. [5:38] Yeah, [5:44] we just have a bunch of people in Castle Dome right now, so, [5:50] okay, thank you. [5:57] Danny's going easy. [6:03] We just said the fire, so an EMT signing on and learning actively that they list down [6:12] who recruited them if that doesn't fact happen and that recruiter gets paid up to $500 [6:20] and if there's two, the recruit that we split that 250 to each other. [6:25] Okay, I want to ask a couple questions before we take action on that motion. I just do we need to or want to limit this to [6:37] newly empties. I don't want to have people who are currently running a [6:42] stop running for a couple months and say they quit. Oh, for a new empty to go through the course. [6:48] And it comes or somebody knew that Emory EMS I guess that somebody is the move in from out of the area. [6:57] And the side run with Emory, but they have not run prior. [7:00] Then then I think that would even I'd like to see that even fall into it. [7:06] It's a new new EMT that Emory anybody call services. [7:13] Okay, the motion has been made. [7:18] I'll send me. [7:19] It's been second. [7:20] This is a roll call vote. [7:23] Judges. [7:24] Trent. [7:24] Yes. [7:25] David. [7:26] Yes. [7:26] Yes. [7:27] Mr. Yes. [7:28] Okay. [7:29] Yes. [7:29] That passes unanimously. [7:33] Item number three. [7:34] Discuss approved tonight. [7:35] Director. [7:36] Pay was brought up last time. [7:38] when we tabled it, we had talked about that time about raising the director pay $1,000 a month. [7:54] Any thoughts on discussion or discussion on that? [7:58] Paul Watt was, did you have a chance to meet with Huntington and your other aunties [8:05] and see if somebody would take on their phone or leave the garage waiting for Huntington? [8:10] So I made some phone calls and talked to individuals and I've talked to Stoney a little bit. [8:18] General consensus from Huntington Garage that I got was that things were running great. [8:24] No one really feels like there's any problems to require a change. [8:32] A couple of EMTs felt like with Stoney being the director if he still wants to be the garage lead [8:38] to help Huntington's garage. [8:44] But I do, I feel like maybe it would be good in the next garage [8:50] training, not just for Huntington, but all the garages to be specific about the fact that [9:01] it's possible to change the garage lead. It doesn't have to stay who it is and that what that [9:09] What it entails being the garage lead, as well as what the pay is in the garage lead. [9:15] At a couple of individuals, not realizing you got paid more to be the garage lead. [9:24] I think it'd be wise for us as a board to write up a letter about the requirements of what the garage lead is, what's expected. [9:33] what the pay is and then maybe at the next garage lead garage meetings discuss [9:39] that letter and if they want to open it up if you want to have them open it up [9:45] to a bowl or to see if garage leads anyone else wants to take it but otherwise [9:54] has, is that what normally happens once a year, every other year? I think a year, a year and a [10:03] half ago, we went through the responsibilities roles and kind of put down some, some guidelines [10:10] of what the Roger Lee responsibilities were. I do not recall if the pay associated with that was [10:16] any part of that document that we approved, but we did, we did go through as a board. I think [10:23] prior to you being on the board and what's through and delegated what it [10:26] draws into responsibilities, what was expected of what training they needed to [10:32] have, you know, went into that they were instructor certified and, you know, [10:38] someone so forth and things. So we already have that in place. Yeah. I just don't [10:43] think that it reflected the pay associated with it. Nick, can you provide some [10:48] insight on what's happened in Orangeville since you've been the [10:50] roughly just as far as people [10:52] understanding that position and opportunities. [10:55] We've had quite a few different [10:56] drawings. We serve as well aware of it. [10:59] They can change the case of people with [11:01] the requirements. [11:03] Girls with non-fill, I don't think it [11:05] would be bad to ask them if they want to change [11:07] every couple of years. [11:11] Mike, who's aware of the pay so. [11:13] Say that again. [11:14] Mike, who's aware of the [11:15] garage room is paid so. [11:17] And it might, it might just be [11:18] new orienties that haven't heard [11:21] don't know. [11:25] So that was my suggestion is next, next meeting, you know, this is what it is, [11:31] this is the requirements. If you are interested in it, this is what it would pay. And then I think [11:38] that every, I like the, every other year, I did it myself. I think every year since, [12:03] I don't know that it's even written in as a policy that it has to happen or that we need [12:10] to make it that way. Maybe it's just something that wouldn't leave it every other year or every [12:14] third year. The garage has a discussion and I'm curious to keep the garage leader to go [12:21] on with somebody now. Yeah. Yeah, so but yeah, I had some really good conversations. [12:31] They [12:32] were happy to hear from a board member and have a discussion with the board member so that [12:38] That was good, but you had no one through Stony Under the Boss, which I was really surprised, [12:44] but it made too much noise. [12:49] I didn't call it right one, apparently. [12:52] I didn't call family members, so. [12:55] Well, in every three of years, a girl had to lead me, you may want to break from it, and she was not to, [13:03] You know, if he thinks that he's not going to be leaving everybody out, and there's other people [13:07] who are thinking that three years, taking time for him to somebody else, might step up to that play. [13:13] Missed you out of comment? [13:14] So I missed part of the conversation last time, but it was a phone call, but my take on our [13:19] conversation last time was not about not wanting Sony to do it, but more about another opportunity [13:24] for upward mobility for another EMT. [13:28] They didn't we discuss that he would keep the same pay basically, but this would be another [13:32] opportunity for somebody else to fill a little bit in a set of to keep going. [13:38] Yeah. And I just, you know, not throw a stony under the bus, but I just think we need [13:44] to do that. And stuff, I think that the director of the drive lead shouldn't be one in the [13:50] same. Give other opportunities to other people, even the stony's doing great. There's somebody [13:56] What else in Huntington should have a chance to step up and improve themselves in their [14:03] abilities? [14:05] Part of that is being largely... [14:07] So I think my question is, why is the board deciding now? [14:10] Why isn't the garage? [14:12] Well, what we're just talking about is just the pay. [14:16] We've started to talk last time. [14:19] The director pay position used to be a full-time job, $40,000 with benefits and now it's [14:26] $6,000 no benefits. So it's been a huge step down. [14:34] So that's a discussion. I think we feel [14:39] like that's appropriate based on financially we're in a significantly better place than we were [14:45] even even a year ago really and certainly better than we were two years ago. So that was a question. [14:53] So if there's any discussion matter, if anybody wants to make a motion too. [15:00] I agree in the board's talking about because it is the director, and he's been at Roxley-Num-Dum. So as a board, the board's issue is, you know, can we relieve him of one of those two responsibilities so that he can be focused on? I'm okay with that. My concern is what if nobody wants to take it on in the garage. That's what I'm saying. I don't think we'll have the problem. Good to tell you. That's all. Yeah. To be very, to be very one based on the discussions. [15:29] I have with Jeff, home EMTs and getting the feedback. [15:34] I did not put on the agenda and agenda item on here to remove [15:39] Sony as a garage leaf, the EMTs like that. [15:43] So we're not even discussing that. [15:45] We're just discussing the director pay. [15:48] If you want me to put it back on in the future, [15:51] as an agenda item, we can do that. [15:54] But it's not on the agenda. [15:58] But in the meantime, my suggestion is the garage leads go back and have a discussion with the garage and see where that goes. [16:09] So as far as a director pay, what are we looking for then just to... [16:14] Last time somebody's mentioned just doing $1,000, it's [16:20] up to the board. [16:21] I don't really want to speak a lot to this issue. I didn't last month because it's my brother, so I'm not. [16:27] I'm purposely trying to not really say much here, but [16:34] well, and I've mentioned to Stony [16:35] multiple times, I think, you know, he deserves a lot for doing this, I mean, it's all [16:43] volunteer, right? But at some point when you're spending so much time, [16:51] it's a, I'm not sure [16:54] the director, I wouldn't even label that volunteer. [16:56] I'd be exact in my point. That's kind of what I'm saying. That's kind of what I'm getting that. [17:01] And I will just say for the record, I do have a letter from El Motel, because that's the municipality that I represent. [17:09] I went and asked them what their take was on that. And they wrote me a letter saying we fully support Stoney being in both positions. [17:17] It helps the Huntington garage. It would help any garage. It was the director and the garage fleet. [17:23] That that that is a concern co-heats him is is you know and not saying it is happening [17:31] But that can be a concern of other garages is honey can get a preferential treatment because he's a garage lead out of the director [17:38] Not saying it is, but it it definitely opens that up for [17:44] questioning concerns [17:46] So we can ask people to talk garages leads that question [17:49] and we don't need to speculate that on that. [17:54] You're free to call your graduates in your areas [17:57] and ask if that's an issue. [17:59] I just wanted to make that clear though, [18:01] because he is my brother, [18:02] the Elmo town is the direct of me to take that position. [18:07] And I have that letter that can be read into the record [18:09] is if we fill out some appropriate. [18:11] So I think that I guess the question on the table [18:14] is do you prove the $1,000 a month? [18:18] if he's like to make that motion. [18:22] Well, if we have the money, I think it's, he puts in the time, I would make a motion [18:30] that we approve the $1,000 a month director pay. [18:35] Okay, that motion is then made, is there a second point to that motion? [18:42] Yeah, I'll say that motion. [18:43] Okay. [18:44] That motion? [18:45] Do we have, we're sure we have that money? [18:48] Yeah. [18:48] $5,000. $6,000. [18:51] As long as we're sure we have that money, I don't mean that's always the consent. [18:54] It's not we should do good. We should be okay. [18:56] We just got a lot of money. We just approved it. [18:58] Well, where we thought it. $5,000. [19:00] $5,000. [19:01] The dollar amount not is not promised, but the commissioner has verbally indicated that there was search money. [19:06] There was kind of a mess of the budgets this year and there's a lot more money there than what they were first told. [19:13] Yeah, I feel comfortable doing that and, you know, we always revisit everything at budget [19:22] time, right? [19:23] And I was just going to say we can look at that budget where it's at June or July because [19:29] we have fast couple of things. [19:33] And so we can look at where we're at on that budget again. [19:36] So that motion has been made to raise the director pay to $1,000 a month and that's been second to roll call vote. [19:44] John, yes. [19:45] Trent, yes. [19:46] David, yes. [19:47] Yeah, yes. [19:48] Misty, yes. [19:49] I'm okay, yes. [19:51] But I do want the director and the director actually does an agenda item next month. [19:59] Whether it's one of the same or break that apart. [20:06] Okay, item number four, director's report. [20:12] It's like I've got to write this down so you can remember. [20:14] Chair. [20:14] I [20:27] have an additional sheet. [20:29] I'll fill on to you. [20:31] I'll print this out all the time. [20:32] But I thought it'd kind of be interesting if you guys could see which towns have their [20:36] runs. [20:37] I've got a lot of them. [20:41] Maybe you should put that over there. [20:43] Here, pestle. [20:46] So these are PCRs. [20:48] This is not incidents. [20:49] This is how many patient care reports. [20:52] So, like, three of her is going to get a little bit tamry. [20:58] They have a lot more runs with multiple patients, so all those patients are included in these [21:03] totals. [21:04] I put last year, so I figured we kept the last kind of running total last three years, and [21:09] so in the 26th column, this is January 1st to end the March. [21:18] And so last year we ended up with a total amount of PCRs of 950, so this is going to be [21:23] how many patients this is going to be when we were [21:25] paged and then canceled before we got to a patient. [21:28] This will be if we didn't stand by for a rodeo or football game. [21:33] So it includes everything. [21:37] So, and if you add up, like this number at the bottom below, [21:42] like the 188 PCRs, does not equal the 226. [21:47] That's because some aren't in a town, some of them are [21:50] transports from Castley, North, some of them were canceled and so they didn't put [21:58] an address in there [22:02] you got that we a little bit slower this month getting rather [22:10] than you [22:18] know you made it so it's 20.5 that's a total year that's a total year so [22:31] last month we received 124,000 this month we only received 64,462 [22:41] but [22:42] But again, some of those runs were from last year, and probably a year before, just been running on the 10th. [22:52] So, Huntington Garage, [22:57] 130,499 dollars they had, 55 runs, 35 patient carry cords. [23:09] 29 of those are available, 9 are not billable, staff 10 or 65, after all the maintenance and supplies. [23:17] and fuel they made, they got some 96,719 dollars original, [23:34] brought in 3,508, they had two runs, [23:38] one of those was billable, they were staffed 22 percent of the time, partially staffed 32, 33, [23:46] and in most debt. [23:50] So after all their expenses, they're in the black $3,642. [24:01] Baron brought in $12,299, that 22 runs, 15 of those were billable and 6 were non billable. [24:09] They were in service, 81 for seven times. They had at least 1 auntie, 17 for seven time [24:16] and then 2% they didn't have any staff. So after all their expenses, they're at $13,756. [24:33] They brought in $4,000, $64,000, $4,000, $4,000, $5,000. Four of those were billable, [24:40] one of them's not. They were fully staffed. It's like 90% of the time. Partially staffed, [24:49] about 8% and about 2% of time they did how many staff. So they've made this year $7,994. [24:59] And the creator of them wrote it in, $13,677. [25:07] They had 19 runs, 11 of those were billable, 8 were non billable. [25:12] They were staffed 90% of the time. [25:16] That's a compliment. [25:18] I wonder if that's what I'm going to do. [25:24] So they were in the 90s, so I didn't know if they were in the 90s. [25:28] Yeah, they were. [25:33] Anyways, what they're stipend, all their expenses, they're in the whole 6,000, they had a $1. [25:43] So we did lose Patricia down the green line. [25:46] She's on the greener and better pastures, but this week people were stepped up. [25:59] Yeah, you guys've been doing a good job. There's good things coming up. So the rural health, [26:08] RTTPH, something like that. So it's part of the one big beautiful bill. And so it's part [26:15] of the government getting away from the Obamacare, somehow somebody condensed the government [26:22] that there would be a huge impact on rural EMS and so they put like $5 billion annually [26:27] to the state since it felt that rural EMSA disease. And so of that, Utah gets, I want to say [26:35] $100 billion and this is every year for the next five or six years and so they've broken that down [26:42] then the rural EMS agencies in the state have $12 million to share and so I'm putting the list [26:50] together. [26:50] About $100 million they gave us $12. [26:53] Yes. [26:54] This year. [26:55] About $100 million to be there. [26:58] Over the years. [27:00] No. [27:01] No. [27:02] Well, I'm not sure. [27:04] All right. [27:05] I just know that rural EMS gets, I think it's $12 million. [27:09] Okay. [27:10] For this year, it would be interesting for that that they cost about $0.90% or $0.60% [27:18] There's quite a few of them knowing. [27:20] Were the other that was supposed to be slated for rural, were the other $88 million bill? [27:27] So it goes to hospital, the rural hospital. [27:29] Okay, that's valid. [27:31] That was me. [27:33] Wait, wait, wait. [27:38] So the majority of that's actually going to go to the hospital and so it actually helps [27:42] us to share the green and red clinic and get some of that task of you, I'm probably [27:47] going to get some of that. [27:48] I think definitely need a second CT machine, functional one, and a few more beds in the [27:55] yard would be good to get crowded, not only lately. [28:01] Right now, we can't put in for that, but we're kind of setting up the, in the process [28:05] of letting the state move kind of what we want from that. [28:09] And when it first was talking about it sounded like, you know, we have to apply, and the [28:13] state has to apply. [28:15] Well, the state found out that the federal government's already given, it's already in their [28:18] bank account. [28:19] Yes. [28:19] And so they just have to administer it. [28:22] So we can't apply quite yet, but in that I've got a couple of annulances, news old monitors. [28:28] They are $50,000 a piece now [28:33] Some striker cots they're now [28:37] There to use some for the panels in a piece [28:41] I actually did just under six thousand dollars left. They are [28:46] Yeah, so I'd actually looked at the phone [28:47] I do really like and they have some improvements. They got eight inch wheels instead of six inch wheels [28:53] Yeah, I did the double and carbon-cutting on the clock [28:57] Yeah, the bricks are up on top. You don't have to chase the wheel around to push the brake on them. [29:05] The side boards actually go flat and they're big the whole way up. [29:09] And they have way more adjustment in them. And they don't have the pressure. You don't have to push them in against pressure. [29:14] They just. [29:16] Yes, so they're actually okay. [29:19] They are. And they're quite a bit less. I've been looking at powered stair chairs. [29:25] I will see on that. Those are kind of hard to justify because we don't have a lot of stairs [29:31] that we have to come up. We don't have a basement apartment. And when they don't work, [29:36] because we don't have any private hanging out there, they don't work. Like the rails don't even work. [29:42] Then you have to take it up and carry the patient out. And then you have the additional weight of [29:50] So it's things like that that we're going to put in for that, and also the, oh my mind just went blank. [30:00] It's the, can we put training costs? Yes, yeah, we can do that too. [30:09] Anything that we can justify [30:11] that's going to help ruin your message. Coats? [30:17] I'd rather go with lots of big ticket items. Thank you. [30:24] The hotel fee that we charge toward our TRT. So that grant we can start applying for that. [30:34] but I think it's the first of July. [30:37] And so we're gonna figure out what we wanna go into that. [30:40] And our county has met all the requirements [30:42] to be able to apply. [30:43] So that's a fairly significant grant there. [30:47] You know what the heroic weeds on that [30:49] to see what they're doing? [30:53] Yes. [30:54] Yeah, basically, I'm going through all the things that, [31:00] so all this stuff like in our ambulance costs, [31:03] our costs to do business every time that we transport [31:06] a patient, our minimum cost is $1,200. That's what we have to have to break even. Because we have [31:17] to cover the wages for EMTs that sit there. When the patient doesn't go off, we've got $50,000 [31:24] on one of yours that they need to be replaced, their chairs that need to be replaced at some point, [31:29] gurneys and ambulance and so based on our number of runs and how many we [31:35] actually transport it's $1,200 for us to break even so all those things that [31:41] we have to eventually replace I'm gonna put in that to help us out. [32:07] Uh, if nothing else, it's good to have some spares. [32:10] I know American Heart says that we actually put your hands on a chest and doing CPR is much better, but I... [32:18] Yeah, they do. They like to just buy their medicine. [32:22] I would love to take a video like when we're on, actually I'd love to have you show up when we're doing CPR. [32:28] And you put a Lucas on and like it's all chaotic and you get that on and then you like can take a breath. [32:33] because it's doing all the CPR for you and all you concentrate on is breathing and [32:38] that's what we're doing. Instead of having made a bunch of people you can do it [32:42] with two or three people. [32:47] So yeah I did stick a couple of those on and I'll [32:50] send out the list when I haven't finalized and you guys can look at it. [32:55] What about facilities? With a grant that size and where it's a first this is kind of a [33:02] first for the state. I wonder if it helps or if we have like, you know, we don't have [33:10] a bathroom where our ambulance is stored. [33:13] Or in Green River, don't we need another accommodation? [33:17] So I actually have a email into this state to ask if we can use it to help you guys put [33:23] in the living quarters. [33:26] They're supposed to be trying to get that address with our city people, I don't know, where [33:33] that's. [33:34] It's been questioned. [33:37] There's been some follow-up emails but no definitive timeline when that's going to [33:43] come to fruition. [33:45] Well, hopefully it helps get some money and help you out. [34:03] I don't think it hurt to throw that in there. It's possible with that chunk of money they'll allocate, they'll break it down into different categories and for sure everyone else doesn't put that in there and we do, we might get all the money out there. [34:16] And we don't have their priorities with heavily want to kind of fund us. We don't have that yet [34:21] So it's all going in as a big wish list and we'll see what we get [34:33] Yeah, that's actually a good idea [34:37] So any question [34:49] Yeah, it's May 19th. [34:54] What do you think? [34:59] Same place, same time. [35:01] Same place, same time. [35:02] That's... [35:03] What was it called? [35:05] 18th. [35:08] Can we go back to this activity summary by the way? [35:12] Oh, yes. [35:13] Can you just kind of explain where... [35:16] You know, some of them were not losing money ever. [35:21] and others like Rachel is constantly with their charge and what their payments and adjustments [35:27] always is added. I'd just like some clarification of why those numbers look like they are [35:36] or if there's any explanation. So a lot of them has to do with insurance companies and what [35:42] they're willing to pay. And so we write off all those adjustments. That's what we write off [35:49] because that's what insurance would pay. And so now the new statewide is if the [35:54] insurance pays a certain percentage in their bill we can't go, we can't balance [35:59] bill. We can't go after the patient for the remainder. We have to just take [36:02] whatever insurance company says they'll pay and be happy with it. If they don't [36:11] and we do have a couple they don't pay very much then we can but there has been [36:17] and quite a few entrances are starting to pay that. [36:20] The other thing that they did, [36:21] we can't build for supplies anymore. [36:23] So, like, would buy a stair chair [36:25] and we could build a fee for using that stair chair, [36:29] we can't use that anymore. [36:31] Well, I'm just looking, you know, [36:33] just looking at overall, you know, [36:36] charges of $1,000 to $45,000. [36:38] They adjusted down 16, $3,61. [36:41] Green River Bill 29,000 adjusted 17, $4,60,000. [36:45] Is that just happened to be the luck of what insurance companies would feel? [36:49] That's insurance companies. [36:51] I mean, where they're at? [36:55] You are unsure. [36:57] Yeah, you have a lot more on insurance companies. [36:58] Okay. [36:59] Well, that's what I'm just trying to figure out is, yeah, you have a lot of transients. [37:03] Okay. [37:04] And that clarifies my question is just, you know, if we're building 30,000, 40,000 and yet the [37:12] 30,000 right not forward in the 45,000 what that explanation could be, you know, is it just because they're not [37:19] insured is the time of the bill and getting submitted. It's not the time. It's just basically [37:26] greener. Welcome to greener. We get a lot of people off the greyhound that have no insurance and so on, so oh yeah, yes. Okay, that answered my question. [37:39] They could try to come with some drugs or something like that. [37:48] Yeah, that would be greener. That was the suburban. [37:58] We did, but they had built something a long time ago, and so some of these are two [38:03] and three years old when we finally get. [38:17] And [38:24] then some you'll have multiple patients and so you can't build a phone out so you'll [38:29] have to split that out. [38:33] And then also the other thing is make your AOS unit or BOS unit. [38:39] So, if you don't have any events done, we can only charge bill, and then [38:47] sometimes it [38:48] doesn't matter if you have ALS on anyways, if you don't do anything, you can't do it. [38:52] It'd be nice, right? [38:56] Can you do more for a location or mileage on your... [39:01] So, mileage is huge. [39:03] We do... [39:04] I can't really make sense of mileage. [39:06] There are also every call of love and morale in the middle of nowhere. [39:16] It's... [39:16] My mileage is huge. [39:18] You carbon county has to have transports to survive because they they're [39:22] transports in a half a mile. So we are really lucky those mileage [39:29] distance are huge for us. But the insurance company can't take that part of it. [39:36] And they know they put it just an overall cost. They've been fairly good at paying [39:49] I mean, even some of this can have money, you know, a week or so, but not potentially look [39:55] at a couple of other ambulance, overall, probably, you know, bringing up any board, but [40:01] you know, potentially look at some off-road capable ambulance, because it seems like, you [40:07] You know, our backcountry people get off-legs on purpose or not on purpose seems to be definitely not decreasing. [40:18] No. But we don't call enough of them. [40:23] Well, and that is something we don't call helicopters. [40:26] I think we're, you know, that is coming into play. [40:29] We need them. We need them to get hurt, bad enough they need an ambulance, but not so hurt bad enough they need a helicopter. [40:37] There's that fine one for close enough we get them to the they got to have insurance. Yeah, yeah [40:44] Maybe they're spatula so we can get rid of the greyhound [40:58] Any other questions [41:01] Thank you [41:03] item number five [41:06] Gerard, you should lead in training officer concerns. [41:09] Nathan? [41:11] It's Starlie. [41:12] We're still having issues with Starlie. [41:13] It's not working for us. [41:16] We're always, you know, any more staff, any more people. [41:19] Patricia left. [41:20] She would pick up a lot of the shifts. [41:22] So far, Karen's been picking up some shifts. [41:25] We're getting some, how he's been picking up some stuff too. [41:27] So we're kind of filling it in. [41:28] But I don't know how long that's going to last. [41:30] So hopefully with the class, we'll get some other guys to start picking up some shifts. [41:34] So, there's always, you know, for your problem. [41:39] And the housing issue. [41:40] If that housing unit, that would be fantastic. [41:43] The city had talked to Ed and he said [41:46] they're waiting on a quote for the shower [41:48] and they still don't even have a timeline for the partition. [41:51] So, yeah. [41:53] I don't think the city has been making any strong efforts. [41:56] You've done this. [41:58] I tried. [41:59] I wrote up a email. [42:02] I've seen them and like said, he referred it to their kind of head city works this time of the year. [42:12] They're me deep in everything else getting people to know and perspective. [42:19] So is your star link when you're driving or when you're working with them? [42:23] Yeah, either way. [42:25] If we've been trying to, you know, inverter on, inverter off, we try. [42:29] Yeah, and it's just not like on the road, we can't do anything. [42:32] Jared have the same. Jared have the same issue but it did talk to him baby said it's working a lot better today. [42:38] If you come down for the garage, can you take it? [42:50] We just got this, no? We listen to that. [42:56] We get paid. We get paid. [42:59] I know. Thank you. Awesome for having 90% full staff. That's cool. [43:06] or 90 plus, whatever the real number was. [43:09] Thank you. [43:10] It's right around 90. [43:11] Paulie. [43:12] Um, no, no, I don't really need to turn. [43:14] But the class is going well. [43:16] We've had seven pass out of the last class. [43:21] I'm just going to say something. [43:24] Oh, and we just got licensing. [43:25] Even John managed to get everybody [43:29] relicanced for another cycle. [43:31] So we didn't lose anybody with a cycle. [43:34] Well, maybe that one's a year, step up. [43:37] Anybody else from the last class [43:38] you were still expecting to pass? [43:41] Yeah, yeah, I think we're still some little tests. [43:55] These are all I can think of. [43:57] But there's two other things that happen to Tristan, [44:02] maybe from Charles. [44:03] Charles pass. [44:04] You pass? [44:05] Yeah. [44:06] There's something one more. [44:08] But seven out of, yeah. [44:11] Okay, yeah, that's awesome. [44:13] No, no, they're running now. [44:15] Not all of them. [44:16] One of them actually said he's a little bit busy right now. [44:20] And he wanted us to be a driver once or two times a month. [44:23] I said, we'll help him. [44:24] Oh, please. [44:26] What about you being an EMT? [44:28] One times a month. [44:29] Yeah. [44:31] So, let me change. [44:34] And when I've got another application, [44:37] I just give him the application, but I'll have a back yet. [44:40] But he asked me the application. [44:42] So we've [44:47] hired for a number of changing things. [44:49] Oh, I mean, we're Steve O'Connor. [44:51] And really, you're right. [44:52] Do you need Steve O'Connor? [44:55] We're out of drivers' education and code. [45:00] Okay. Anything else, I'll tell you this new class does not eat like the old class. I think we'll always bring them good stuff to you. [45:12] No, because Kyler was in there. Does anybody have questions for you, Ollie? Okay. [45:20] Item number six, discuss approved tonight, the bills. [45:25] I'll make a motion to say the bills. [45:27] Question is there any questions? [45:27] That's a good question. [45:28] We have a roll called vote. [45:30] Yes, yes. [45:31] You have. [45:32] Yeah, yes. [45:34] You have. [45:34] Mr. Yes. [45:35] That passes you now into the lady, item number seven board member. [45:40] Thank you. [45:40] What's your question? [45:41] Thank [45:44] Good meeting Humans. [45:47] I don't know. [45:50] Ky. [45:50] Yeah, I just think of continuing on the behalf of the men. [45:53] Appreciate those you're going after and let's continue this. [45:57] You're going to go for them. [46:18] I was going to be done in under an hour, so sorry, that was what that tonement was. [46:27] And we're going to do it. We're going to do it. [46:30] I don't. Nope, that's not what I was going to say. [46:33] Um, so I got a call today just a little bit about someone who wanted to be in EMT down in Green River [46:40] and fear this concern about not getting in contact back to. [46:44] And she's not from, and she's in Carbon County. [46:47] So I was going to mention that just a little bit. [46:49] And this is going to give an update real quick. [46:51] We I brought and maybe Murray touched on it. I brought that idea of doing the fill monies [46:59] Two commission meetings ago not this one with the one last one and CRA and so [47:04] We didn't approve that resolution because I was trying to get the state fill money into the district so we can raise our own call [47:10] I'm trying to be more competitive, but we didn't really do anything. We found out we have some money in [47:16] CRA that we had budgeted for districts so if there's projects or if you need money for certain reasons [47:22] We as a board can put together a proposal and send it to the commission to potentially look [47:28] at some funding so and we can I think as a board we can either go for equivalent or [47:35] we can go for retention and anything like that with the CRAs but I am going to try to [47:41] get that state bill. [47:42] I would like to see most of that come to the EMS but maybe we have districts that are [47:47] really heavily mineral lease money or their salaries, their benefits, and they're really [47:53] a service to the public. The one I'm thinking about is the direct district. You can go in there [47:58] and you guys all know all of this. I'm just pretty inquired. You can go in there and rent that building out. [48:04] I know we as a church have on Christmas Eve. Pay a hundred bucks, and then if you clean up, [48:10] you get your hundred dollars back. And how should it cost to keep that building comfortable [48:15] rule for the hours we were there. And this year I actually can go back to get the deposit. [48:21] I hope it wasn't too big of a mess. I thought we did a pretty good job cleaning. But that's [48:25] a service to the public, I think. They're more of a service than anything. So one idea was [48:29] to take a section of the stakeout money, the first 50, 75, whatever that money would be and [48:36] go to the wreck and then the rest would come to EMS. But it didn't go anywhere. [48:43] I might [48:44] tried to approach that again. Do you have a timeline when you think we might need to have something [48:49] coming up with CRAs or with the state bill? Both. Well honestly if your city councils are willing [48:57] to if you're willing to go to your state councils and to your mayor and pitch the idea of like the [49:03] first 75,000 or 100,000 whatever you think is sufficient for the wreck and then the rest so it's [49:09] around, it's anywhere between 300 to $400,000 of state-filled monies, spending that [49:14] way pre-consistent. For four hours of commissioner, it went into the research center, and 50 to [49:20] $100,000 of my income, the EMS, or the buyer, and then the rest of it would go to the research [49:24] center. So that has to go to a district. We can't use it in the county. So if you are bald [49:31] and comfortable going to your city councils and saying, hey, we'd love to see these [49:36] districts that need money, record district, for instance, and 50, 75, [49:41] 100,000, whatever you think they would need. And then to put that, [49:45] rest that money into EMS, I would really support that as a commissioner. [49:52] So as a board, I think we probably should create a letter we could take to our city council. [49:56] Yes, on board, saying we have these projects or we have this identified number [50:03] or if we could get that money from Hilt? [50:09] Yeah, yeah, it's a state bill, state bill. [50:12] And yes, I've been to the past that first, [50:15] that letter to send out to the cities and make prep past it. [50:19] I think that's the coalition that they, [50:20] that I would, I need to get that money here. [50:25] So the reason I'm asking on timeline, [50:27] typically we meet just once a month. [50:29] That's my dream. [50:31] Okay. [50:31] So like if next meeting, if we have a letter [50:33] And we hash out the numbers as a board and we approve it in the next meeting and then the then we go to our city councils [50:39] And then the next meeting we get together potentially and our city council talked about it and they like it [50:44] And they want to send that letter of recommendation to the Commission. We think this is a wise use of that money and we need an ambulance when we need it [50:52] We have some months. I would dare say it would be better before June [50:58] Because if I lose I'll pry loose cloud [51:03] Which I don't blame anybody on that if I were to lose, but it probably be easier to wander and share. I'm going to be a Commissioner or not. [51:11] Okay. Let me bring some of this. You're saying it somewhere between three and four hundred thousand. [51:18] In the last one, I made a suggestion that we may be asked for 250,000 first and then remainder of that, what could spread to the districts or the others. [51:27] the word we can budget you're knowing that we've got a $250,000 which is always saying [51:33] it's between three and four hundred thousand so that's leaving somewhere between 15 [51:37] and 150,000 that can go to the other districts. [51:41] Well, and I believe that there's more years where it's closer to four than it is three and [51:48] so that's why I was kind of thinking that way. [51:51] If you have a set amount there and then more years and not you're going to have more money [51:55] coming in at 2 p.m. ask. But there might be a year so you might be in touch with it. [51:59] I just like the idea of knowing where we stand at 2.50 and I would be a lot more comfortable [52:07] going to City Council saying EMS is more important than that. What you're needing it, you're [52:16] needing it. I'll tell you right now Redskine, they're going to say 75. That's where our average [52:22] over the last five years, that's what we needed. [52:24] Good, you know, stay up close. [52:25] So, yes. [52:27] And then there's also CRA monies, [52:29] and that was a discussion that I had with the commission [52:31] was to put 100,000 of CRA money. [52:35] That's all, my resolution with CRA's was [52:37] that the first X amount, 300,000 private things [52:40] were broke down too, would go to districts. [52:44] And then, so, if we got less, [52:46] if we got 400,000, only 15,000, come to the county, [52:50] so that would be, they'd have to change that commission. [52:51] Which they can commission and do what they want and then that I had I think it was a hundred thousand per wreck [52:58] And so I was going to try to combine the CRA monies and the [53:04] state state piled monies [53:05] To make sure that they were tainted because the rest of them other than fire the rest of them [53:13] our [53:14] fees [53:16] Taxed is even just [53:19] But we didn't do that. We didn't pass that through an eight by thousand so what we decided to do is if there's a project or [53:25] Monies for the CRA. So there's two poll here, CRA and state bill. [53:30] Can any of that be used for salary? [53:34] Whatever this is, whatever this board wants and whatever the commission is comfortable with. [53:38] If we approach the commission, if this board refers to commission for CRA, which we don't really need to go to the cities, [53:44] unless we want that part of the coalition of CRA as a board we can say we [53:50] like a hundred thousand and we want to use a free tension and the commission [53:56] can say yes or no or just for my community we have this project when you get [54:00] done but I think with retention that's where it's at right now in my opinion in [54:05] this board I could be wrong I think I'm wrong on that but I think it'd be good [54:09] use it for salaries. [54:12] First I'd love to see our hourly wage just increased by a substantial [54:18] amount. [54:21] This is another thought that we could do with that is, you know, we just talked [54:26] about doing a referral bonus that if we did something with garages, if a garage could [54:36] get 10% increase in their full-time staff then maybe that garage gets a bonus or something [54:45] just thoughts, some to try and encourage people to take a few more runs. How about a staffing [54:56] Yeah. [54:57] That's a shopping pose. [54:59] Like 90% you get so much for it. [55:02] 80% you get... [55:03] I don't know. [55:04] It's water. [55:06] Yeah. [55:06] Don't don't like that. [55:08] Because then you're actually getting it. [55:10] Did you get the percentage cover that bad? [55:13] Boy, in here three years I never saw this. [55:15] Well, if we're on a side, what if I were to be able to do the increase? [55:26] I wish this was something that we could, uh, we wouldn't have to, like, cross our fingers [55:31] that it's available from your ear. [55:33] I wish it was something which, so for a five-year gap, it would be like, this would be like [55:38] to commit the five-year, so we can actually make those kinds of decisions. [55:42] So, sort of technically, before you're describing, we could try to do in a commission, [55:49] we could [55:49] between EMS and the county for five years. [55:55] The county would ever, if all done and not fulfill that promise, [56:01] I mean, like to be sooner or [56:02] more self and I mean, of course, the money's not there. [56:06] Obviously, again, we'll fulfill it, but so we can as there, [56:10] it would not be a lot better as a district to be able to budget a five-year gap [56:14] or even a 10-year gap than this thing where the money's here now, [56:19] but it might not be here in four months. [56:21] So so I'll say this is a good idea if we if we approached as a board we discussed this [56:28] In the next meeting with pass it and we say the first $150,000 of CRAs [56:35] coming to EMS [56:37] And we're gonna use it for retention or whatever [56:39] just and then you do the state felt money at the same time [56:43] so you have a letter with two of those funding and [56:46] And say for five year agreement and as the cities passed that I think there'd be a lot of weight [56:51] the mayor pursued that and I think it's a good use of solar money so what's the [56:57] city's buying on that just basically just supporting that and telling the [57:01] county hey this is what we want this is a service we need we're lacking we want [57:05] to beat it up and we want this to be a secured amount the next five years so that [57:10] we can function in this this this is the first time every to my knowledge this is [57:17] the first time that every city has a board member, part of EMF. And the reason for that [57:22] is to build coalitions and to put pressure and influence to better this service. That's [57:28] why I see it that way, and I think it's important. So I think if you can get the cities by [57:34] in and put pressure on the commission, we're politicians. We don't want to go into a city [57:39] that doesn't want some, for sure. But I guarantee you every city wants a service. [57:43] What club did you just sign up for? [57:46] Well, not how play devil's advocate here because [57:49] Information does get out your fire district is hearing everything. We're doing for the EMS district and [57:56] They are starting to rumble [57:58] Do the same thing go to the citizen [58:01] Same. I've been wanting the districts to put pressure on the commission to use that solar money [58:06] Yeah, you guys know that I've been wanting this to happen if it takes rumbling and some grumbling and [58:13] and pitchforks. [58:14] Well, that's why I'd like to just start out saying, let's go to the commission with a [58:20] set amount and not have that at guess what it's going to be next year or two years or [58:27] three years. [58:27] So budget time, we can kind of sit down and say can we give a retatch the wage increase [58:34] and can we be comfortable about doing it this year and feel like we can pay it next year [58:38] in the following year because the last thing is a board we want to do is give a pay increase [58:43] then have to take that away. That scares me to death and if we're trying to project [58:48] it, we're asking for what's the excess over others, that's a potential. But if we can [58:56] kind of set it down and say we're coming in with $150,000 or $200,000 or $250,000 additional [59:03] that we know is ongoing money or we have a comfortable belief that's going to [59:08] continually be an ongoing money then we can figure out that wage increase and [59:13] feel good about I can feel good about voting for that that I'm not saying [59:20] take away because if we want to lose EMGs let's let's take their pay away and we'll [59:26] watch that just smack us right in the face and if fire started to grumble let's [59:34] be the first ones to come with the set amount going and they can start asking [59:38] for what they see is over what we request. That that would be my suggestion my [59:47] belief. So I commission on your comments I'd encourage you all of you to reach [59:52] reach back to your cities, reach out to the commissioners if you have questions on that. [59:57] That would be good if we can come next. [1:00:00] I'd like to assemble a letter to submit. I think if we can have that thing, but I'd really like to just build a set bound up front. [1:00:11] Misty, we didn't quite make it, but do you want to make emotions? [1:00:15] I'm emotional, Chen. [1:00:17] Emotion, playmate. [1:00:19] Oh, I'm very worried. [1:00:20] Very worried.
