[0:12] Greg, you're very welcome. >> You have to change your display setting. [0:20] » It was just on extend here a second. [0:28] » Extend or whatever I think is the [0:37] » I'm trying to set it up there. [0:41] » You drag it up to that screen. [0:57] » I got it now. [1:06] » There you go. [1:08] Or duplicate, yeah. Not extend. >> I thought it was on extend. [1:14] » Greg, can you hear us okay? [1:17] » Yes, I hear you fine. >> Loud and clear. [1:20] » Perfect. [1:23] Give people a few more minutes. >> Yeah. [1:31] Hopefully they'll all start coming in. [1:43] » When you guys first spoke, I had actually [1:46] turned it down, so you're coming in good. [1:50] » Perfect. [1:58] Your upgrade will be here in a few days. [2:02] » Look at that. >> I'm calling you from a phone. [2:06] » Do it. >> [laughter] [2:08] » I got friends in high places. Yeah. [2:11] So, like that is unacceptable. >> Are you serious? [2:14] » Yeah, no. I'm That's what I'm like >> Yeah. [2:17] » That thing is old. >> I don't know why. I know Brandon. It [2:21] wasn't Brandon. It's another guy in the fire department. [2:23] » Kyle? >> Kyle Simpson. [2:24] » Yeah. >> Is he a union [2:27] smart? >> Or might have been might have been [2:29] another guy. I think that was who did it. [2:31] » Are they smart enough to buy the tough phones for people that work outdoors? [2:35] » Yeah, they get us they get cases. >> Yeah, they'll get the [2:40] the whatever case. >> OtterBox case for [2:44] L P and Y and work on the same phone after [2:48] » Oh, they won't provide Yeah, if you want a case on it, you got to get it [2:50] yourself. Yeah, like I bought mine for my Yeah. [2:53] » Oh, I'm buying it. [3:09] » You're going to be on speed dial. >> It'll be anyway. [3:13] » Number one in >> [laughter] [3:18] » Your new phone or your old phone? Thank you. [3:21] » Thanks. [3:23] I want a special ringtone and everything. [3:25] » You got it. >> Okay. [3:28] » Dirt boots. >> Okay. [3:31] You said ordered? Be here in a few days. Sweet. [3:36] He looked at He looked up your thing as soon as I showed the front of with the [3:40] home button. He's like, "Oh, wow. Yeah, he needs an upgrade." [3:44] » So, the guy who took over before gets his old phone. [3:47] » Mhm. >> Jumbo? [3:51] » No. No, it was Bill. Bob. [3:53] » Yeah. Uh I don't I don't know him. I've never met [3:58] him. But, [4:01] » They'll just have to order a case once that once you get a new one. [4:04] » You know, I'm going to follow this. That's a 16. [4:10] And this is a 15. [4:13] » What's this? Negative one? >> No, mine's 13. [4:20] » Well, wait. So, >> I swear Ryan or not Ryan, Luke and Wyatt [4:24] got 15s or 14s. [4:28] Should I say I'd order now? [4:34] » You can order from a 12 to a 17. [4:45] » It's the iPhone 17e is what he would be getting. [4:48] » Wow. >> like the newest. [4:51] » Yeah. >> You're going to have to get [4:55] » I don't think it's much different other than the fact that there's no home [4:58] button. [5:00] And the light buttons. Is your light button on the side or is it on top? [5:04] Oh, it is on the side. Okay. >> Yes, it is actually on the side. [5:07] » You'll have this random button. [5:11] Oh, it does. Time to customize. [5:14] » Anybody >> Mine is my flashlight. [5:19] » No, we got 500 members in our club. I don't see 501 people. [5:22] » I know, but I'm just saying. >> We [5:24] » But, yeah. Mine's my flashlight. [5:30] All right. Is this everyone? [5:34] 4:00. >> It's 4:00. I think we could get started. [5:38] Everybody, uh can you hear us down there? [5:41] Greg Rowe, are you code red? >> Yep, it's good. [5:46] » Okay. Anybody else joining us? [5:51] » He said I'm the only one here. >> You're the only one. [5:52] » All right. I'm going to mute too. [5:58] » All right. Well, um [6:00] we'll get started on uh June uh meeting. Then um just take a second and go around [6:06] and introduce yourselves. I'm Charlie Anderson from Black River [6:10] Valley Riders out of Carthage. >> Mike Livercure from Black River Valley [6:15] Four Wheeler Club, Greig, New York. >> I'm Dick Kitson, Black River Valley Four [6:20] Wheeler Club. >> Taylee Rhodes, uh community engagement [6:24] specialist for the county. >> Monica Forney, senior account clerk for [6:29] the recreation department. >> Uh Ryan Battles, uh trail crew leader [6:33] for recreation, forestry, and parks. [6:38] » All right. >> And then we have uh Greg Grover joining [6:42] us as well. >> Yep, land owner. [6:47] » Okay. Uh [6:49] I thought Kristen was going to be here, but she's not, so [6:53] uh just a trail update. All the trails are [6:57] open now. Um Bald Mountain was the last one to be [7:02] open, but we do have that open. Um the guys were actually up there today [7:08] to just to reiterate and then inform everybody it's a 1,000 lb weight limit [7:14] um on the Bald Mountain trail, so to help educate all the riders, um the crew [7:20] went up this morning to put signs up 1,000 lb [7:24] weight limit restriction on that. Um [7:29] new news, Lewis County OHV permits update for 2027, the permits will be [7:36] $70, uh $40 for a 3-day pass. [7:42] Um Local law 4-26 [7:47] amending law 3-0 2019 public hearing will be August 4th, [7:54] 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the courthouse, second [7:59] floor. [8:01] Uh community connections, Watson connection, Pine Grove, Snow Road number [8:06] four road. We are waiting on two contracts and seekers to continue on [8:13] with that. I do know I have a list of land owners um on our whiteboard in [8:19] there that I need to reach out to and then we'll start um [8:23] GPSing flagging and get going on that. How much of the Snow [8:27] Road are you doing? [8:31] That I cannot answer you right now. I don't know. [8:35] Um I thought the whole Snow Road uh [8:39] I could be wrong. I would have to look at [8:42] the land owners and their locations to answer you and I I just don't have the [8:46] answer right now. >> Next time we talk to Jackie, I'm going [8:50] to need a public hearing notice to go to the Lock Haven Daily Times. [8:55] » Grove Road, too? I know from [8:59] » at least 14 days prior to the public hearing. [9:02] » Um [9:11] I want to say with that road. We have a land owner there, [9:16] Mr. Dutton, that I got to go meet with. [9:21] Oh. [9:23] Yeah, as far as I know. I know we have the Pine Grove lot, [9:27] which is the county parcel. Oh. [9:31] And then I know we have other land owners [9:34] on the road as as well. But I don't have that information in [9:38] front of me. [9:41] » [clears throat] >> Towards what the Watson and [9:46] Uh Also working on the Lewis West Leyden [9:50] and Osceola connection. Uh [9:56] They had the Boonville connection meeting on the 8th [10:00] at the Boonville municipal building. Uh River Crossing Glenfield and Lyons [10:05] Falls. Um I think we talked about this at the last meeting, but uh Van Handles [10:11] on the corner of the intersection of Lyons Falls and Burdick's Crossing. [10:15] Um there's a house and land for sale and then there's other land for sale is for [10:19] sale that our trail is on, so there's potential loss of uh that connector [10:24] there. Um we hope we don't lose it, but I don't [10:28] don't know. So, the property is for sale right now. [10:32] So. [10:35] Um [10:39] 2026 landowner appreciation. Did we discuss um is there anybody who's [10:46] going to host it? Have we talked about a date or locations? [10:52] » Maybe we The county reimburses us, right? [10:55] For the meal? >> Yeah. [10:59] » Um We probably We didn't discuss it, but [11:03] there We don't have the meeting at the hotel till August now. [11:07] » Okay. >> But we can figure out something like [11:10] every time. >> know. Last year Ty and them did and [11:13] » High market did it last year. >> High market. Um [11:15] » That was good, Ty. >> And then it was at uh the Hideaway. And [11:18] I thought we were we're going to rotate. >> Yeah. Maybe the only place I could think [11:23] of in Remsen would be the Coach Light. Um [11:28] » [clears throat] >> it's got the dining rooms totally [11:32] separate from the ballroom. >> Okay. [11:34] » And the Paint Tree is under new ownership, too. [11:38] » Um >> How many people attended last year? [11:41] » Around 70. >> 70. So, the Paint Tree I don't think [11:44] they would have hold >> Not in that back room. Cuz we were just [11:47] up there this weekend and they put us in the back room. [11:51] As you go in >> Right. [11:53] » to the to the left. >> Yeah. Yeah, it's [11:56] » Cuz they got the back place. >> I don't dine in there anymore. [11:58] » Yeah, it's kind of small. >> It it it yeah, it's it's a dining room. [12:01] » The The Coachlight would probably be your only other [12:05] option. >> Okay. Maybe we could reach out to them [12:08] and see what occupancy is. >> Right. [12:12] » And try to come up with some numbers and >> You'd want it on a Sunday then? Like [12:15] last year? >> Yeah, Sunday or [12:17] » So, they could you know, sometimes people don't want it on a Sunday. They [12:20] don't want to share. Yeah, Heather, please open early and you know, [12:24] whatever. >> Okay. [12:27] » And there's Three Willows, too. [12:31] But they could be expensive. >> Yeah. Coachlight would be, too. [12:35] » Yeah. [12:42] I could reach out to Bobby up at the Coachlight and [12:45] just see what he thinks first. [12:51] » All right, let's do numbers pretty much. [13:00] » All right. Um So, I guess next news is uh permit [13:05] sales. >> Um [13:08] » I think here today we're at 173,682. [13:13] Um [13:17] Maps 170. Uh donations 115. Three-day passes 611. [13:26] » [clears throat] >> Total 3,067. [13:31] And then club reimbursement is 1,272. [13:37] Um [13:42] As far as our crew, uh we spent [13:46] about 2 and 1/2 weeks at Lee Golf after that one uh [13:52] poker run. Um That's back open [13:56] um and the Ives Road connection. So, the guys they work really hard. [14:01] Um a lot of corduroy, a lot of a lot of stow. [14:05] Um I haven't been up there in a week and a [14:08] half or so, but what the trail ambassadors are saying it's uh holding [14:13] up pretty well. Could use some sunlight. Obviously, [14:16] we've been getting a lot of rain. Um then we spent about a week at Kronk. [14:21] » [clears throat] >> Same thing, corduroy and fixing that up [14:24] and then I'm mowing. Um we're we got crews out right now [14:29] mowing mowing around all the signs. Um so, we're trying to get caught up with [14:34] that, too. Um [14:36] make sure that the signs are visible for safety [14:39] on the trails. Um we're over to Great Lots right now. [14:44] We had a couple projects to do over there. [14:48] Um The crew was in High Market today to mow [14:53] and weedy around the signs and then they're going to take a look at any [14:57] maintenance work that needs to be done up in that area with all the new [15:01] landowners that we took on last year. Um So, yeah, the crew's been working [15:07] hard. They're doing they're doing a good job. They're [15:10] They're amazing, really. So, [15:13] um [15:18] There was something else I wanted to talk about. [15:30] brushing up there, maintenance. Then we'll get back to, you know, [15:34] routine like up over in the Commons, the middle road. [15:38] We have them scheduled to hit them next. Um [15:42] but we just want to make sure everything's good up in High Market [15:44] before we before we leave. So, um oh, this past weekend, uh we had [15:51] a bad storm on [15:55] Thursday. Everybody knows you had a tornado watch and it's just been the [15:59] last two weekends have been real windy, rain and thunderstorms. [16:04] Um I just hats off to the trail [16:07] ambassadors. They reached out to me this weekend. Um I had Steve, Eric, [16:12] Dean, and uh Mr. Bernard. So, they were out [16:19] pretty much all Friday and Saturday with uh cutting trees out and checking and [16:25] informing me of what was down, what was open, so [16:29] I just wanted to recognize them, take a second to recognize them cuz they're [16:33] doing what they're supposed to be doing and I I appreciate it. And I think the [16:37] whole department appreciates what they're doing, [16:40] what everybody's doing. >> Yeah, yeah. [16:44] I got a picture out from the town because there was trees down on Rawson. [16:50] » Okay. >> And uh [16:52] he went up the next day and took care of it. [16:55] » Perfect. He was also there was a report, I didn't see it, uh but [17:01] » Rector Road had a tree down and he was out looking for that, but he hadn't [17:05] found it yet. >> Yeah. [17:07] Yeah, I had a couple ambassadors that took pictures of trees down that were on [17:11] seasonal roads and you know, I thanked them, but informed [17:15] them too that we need to notify the townships [17:18] for them to cut them out because and [17:21] » for our trail system but it's not my right away to go out and cut trees out [17:26] of the main highway. >> Saturday on French [17:29] » Well, we can work with our towns, you know what I mean, to inform them that we [17:34] saw something that they maybe they didn't see, you know, or [17:39] didn't know of yet. Um just giving them a heads-up. [17:43] So, that's good. Um [17:48] guess we can go around the table. There's not many of us here, but [17:53] any news? Uh we we did a ride yesterday and [17:58] you know, we've seen where the trees and stuff were down that they pretty much [18:01] had them cleared up on the French Road. >> Yeah. [18:04] » And you mentioned the the middle road to washboard, but [18:08] » Mhm. >> that's to be expected. [18:10] Yeah, but uh we didn't have any encounters on the [18:15] on the trails. I mean, they're muddy, but nothing we can do about that. [18:19] » Okay. [18:21] » I also wanted to mention when we're up to Crown, we did add two new picnic [18:26] tables um that John McGraw built and donated. Um the one is in the [18:33] second log landing. Um [18:37] by one of the RV sites. It's mowed. Um but there's a nice picnic table and it's [18:42] dedicated to Clay Colver, who was one of our [18:46] past ambassadors. So, there's a picnic table there and there's a bench slash [18:51] picnic table on one of the gorges on the outer green trail. There's [18:56] a short little hike and then there's a nice view of of the gorge looking [19:00] towards Lake Ontario. So, um I forgot to mention that when I [19:04] talked about Crown, but we put those out as well um a couple weeks ago. [19:12] Mike? >> Uh we got hot dog rolls July 11th. [19:17] That's going to be where the trail crosses in in 26 in Houseville. [19:22] We're going to have a hot dog rolls from 10 [19:25] to 10 to 2. >> Where the trail crosses where? [19:29] » In Houseville on 26. >> Right right there in Marty Maciak's uh [19:33] » Yeah, parking lot. >> You've had them there before, right? [19:35] » Yeah, that's pretty good, yeah. >> Okay, yeah. [19:37] » And we don't meet again until August, so Well, we're not having a meeting until [19:41] August, so >> Okay. [19:43] » All our meetings right now fall on a major holiday, so [19:46] » Right. >> Makes it difficult for people to come, [19:49] so >> It's that time of the year. [19:51] » Yeah, hopefully next year our days rotate up a little bit and [19:55] they don't fall into this, so Other than that, nothing. [20:00] » Doug? >> Yeah, I was just wondering if you [20:03] did take your ride with Lewis County for signs down in the Lowville area. [20:09] » I did. I did. So, um I rode with the sign [20:15] department and we put in a work order and [20:18] I got to follow up with that. I don't know where they stand. [20:22] But I know when you come out on River Street by across from the post office, [20:27] that the snowmobile sign was there. And then um we went down [20:34] towards the the old ball field past the Wicked Bad Apple for the parking. [20:40] And I I told them I needed the signs there and then the connectors to get up [20:45] through 12. Um so I I did go over that with them and I actually did a ride [20:50] along with the sign crew from highway. And um but I don't know where we stand. [20:56] I can follow up with them to see [21:00] when when those are going to be completed. But I did do a ride along and [21:04] showed them um [21:06] » Every Tuesday before uh, when you come out from McGregor [21:10] Road, turn right down Lee Street. >> Yep. [21:13] » There was always a sign there >> Mhm. [21:15] » showing that there was an open ATV road trail. [21:19] » Okay. >> And [21:23] of course there's nothing there now, but >> Okay. I know there was a snowmobile that [21:29] showed both ways. >> It did. [21:31] » Because you can ride snowmobile, but you can't ride ATV. You can ride ATV off [21:35] River Street. And then once you come off the railroad [21:39] bed onto River, you can make a right to go down. [21:45] If I'm If I'm correct on that, we're talking the same route. [21:48] » Yep. >> And then there will be a sign [21:51] for them to turn into the ball field or to get to come out to point them in the [21:56] right direction. But I did do a ride-along, so [22:00] um, I'll do a follow-up with with uh, the [22:03] sign department and s- see where we are with that. [22:08] And we went all the way to Whitaker to across 26 and uh, [22:15] you know, those roads too for that other connection to get up on the hill. [22:21] » [clears throat] >> Good. [22:22] » Okay. [22:25] » Do you want to >> Nope. I don't have anything. [22:29] » All right. Greg, you still there? [22:33] » I am. Yep. [22:35] » Yeah, you have anything, Greg? [22:37] » Well, I have a question. Did you get uh, I've been laid up. I got a heart monitor [22:42] right now. But did you get down uh, that washout [22:46] off of the uh, [22:48] parking lot there on G? >> Yeah, we've been over uh, a couple times [22:54] to your property. Um, we took care of the washout. [22:58] And then the last time we were there, we brushed and mowed. Um [23:03] I'm probably going to have to get over there [23:06] next week um to mow again just with all the rain [23:09] and everything um >> had. [23:12] » Yeah, because around the kiosk and the little picnic table, it's really grown [23:16] grown a lot. Well, yeah, we've been over there twice [23:19] and maybe the next time I'm there, I'll come down and see you. [23:23] » Yeah. >> And then I'll talk [23:25] about another uh loop down in the bottom so it don't dead [23:29] end. >> Yes, that'd be great. [23:32] » I don't know that a secret was done on the the property, so get with you and [23:37] see what your thoughts are and then I can [23:39] flag that out and then we can work on that later this summer. [23:44] Oh, the washout was taken care of. >> But thank you. [23:48] Uh the only uh what what's your thoughts on Booneville? [23:53] Are they going to be connecting or [23:57] » I I really don't know. I haven't heard. Um I did go to the public hearing. [24:03] Um there was a lot of good questions. But I I don't know the results of uh the [24:10] meeting at this point. I don't know what the board had decided [24:15] um moving forward. [24:19] You know, it was just a public hearing. >> Right. [24:22] » [clears throat] >> And [24:25] you know, everybody it wasn't a question and answer thing. [24:28] It was a public hearing, so people just voiced their opinions, but [24:32] whether the board's going to move forward with it or not, I haven't heard. [24:36] » No clue. All right then. Yep. [24:41] All right, that's all I got then. [24:44] » Well, this might be the shortest meeting we've ever had on record. [24:51] » Nothing wrong with that. >> How's Jackie doing? [24:56] » Good. I got to [24:59] give her a shout maybe later today but she she's [25:03] messed me a few times. I know she I know she came home bugged. Now I don't know. [25:09] I don't know. Yeah. [25:18] We good? >> Make a motion to adjourn. [25:21] » Yeah. >> Next meeting is July 27th at 4:00. [25:26] » Okay. Write that down. July 27th 4:00. Can I erase [25:31] » Sure. >> You know I'm going to write that date [25:33] down. >> It's right on the bottom. [25:35] » Right there. Yeah. Yep. [25:38] All right. We'll [25:40] meet again next month. Thank you everybody. [25:42] » Greg.
