[0:00] All [0:02] right. I'd like to call to order the Laura Satashia Board of Supervisors [0:05] meeting of September 2, 2026. Ask everyone to join me in the pledge of [0:10] » allegiance. [0:13] I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic [0:18] for it stands. One nation under God, indivisible and justice for all. [0:25] » Thank you. [clears throat] [0:29] That brings us to our first public discussion period of two on the agenda. [0:34] Is there anyone wishing to be recognized? [0:39] » Seeing none, I'll move on. I'll take a motion to approve the consent agenda [0:43] items as listed and posted. >> Thank you. Motion second. [0:48] » Move to second. All in favor say I. >> I. Post say nay. Motion carries. [0:53] Committee reports zoning and hearing board. There are no applications, Mr. [0:58] Chairman. Very good. Parkour and Miss Postman. [1:04] » Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The next park board meeting will be in this room this [1:08] month. It's September 22nd at 7 p.m. >> What was that? [1:13] » That's unfortunately council. >> How's that? [1:17] » I think they were thinking it was going to be maybe worse weather than we had. [1:22] Um, unfortunately, and they don't have a rain day. Castle for the year. [1:27] » H >> cancelled for the year. [1:28] » Yeah. >> CN 27. [1:30] » CN 27. Exactly. >> Very good. Fire chief. [1:36] » Seeing no one. If there's a report that gets submitted, we'll have it on files. [1:41] Uh Freedom Valley Medical Rescue. >> Do you want me to come up there or is [1:45] this >> Yeah, wherever you want your coffee. [1:49] » Chief Hayne's going to be here tonight. So, my name is Tom Shane, assistant [1:52] chief. She asked me to come. So, I will give you the information. I believe you [1:55] won. For July, we had 273 dispatches out of our Harleysville station. 153 of [2:03] those were in Lower Southford. 120 were outside of Lower Southford Township. Of [2:08] those in the township, we were able to cover 122. Outside agencies covered 31. [2:15] We were recalled by VMSC 74 times, recalled by other agencies four times, [2:23] and the station was in service 100% of the month. [2:28] Is there anything else you would like to know? [2:31] » Well, I think we're good. >> All right. [2:33] » Appreciate you coming out tonight. >> Thanks. [2:35] » Yep. >> Thank you. Very good. Uh, [2:39] nearly on it. Moving right along. Communications committee. Miss Kelly. [2:44] Thank you, Mr. Chairman. A brief update from the communications committee. Um, [2:49] from March to June, we ran the residents resident communication survey. Um, we [2:56] had 196 responses. Um, from those respondents, everyone got to choose [3:02] three of their um, top choices for how they currently receive news and how they [3:07] would like to receive news. Um, from those results, most people are receiving [3:12] their news through our constant contact email. Um, but people seem to they would [3:20] like to see more text notifications come from the township. So, utilizing the [3:24] readym service about 58% of respondents would like to see text messaging [3:32] services. So, >> do we have a breakdown of the [3:37] sabotage of residents that are have text alerts from Ready Mont? [3:42] » That could definitely be Oh, um I don't >> just curious how that compares to our [3:50] databases. >> I don't think the number is huge. So, [3:54] whether or not people know it exists, I think would be the next question. Are [3:59] you receiving them and would like to see more or are you just not receiving them [4:02] at all? >> If anyone has any questions about that, [4:07] I can send you the full results as well. Um, the communications committee is also [4:11] working on public comment guidelines to assist residents to um be better [4:18] prepared and know what our public comment process looks like. Um, so if [4:24] you have any recommendations on what you would like to see on those guidelines, [4:28] it will mostly just be a resource on our website for individuals who are looking [4:32] to make public comment to prep, know that they should state their name and [4:36] address and that they can post what questions they would like. Um, and [4:43] finally, the communications committee um has seen other nearby townships have [4:49] website pages for upcoming ordinances. Um, and so that would mean anything [4:54] that's on future agendas or is currently being advertised um would just have a [4:59] separate page of its own on the website so residents could stay up to date on [5:03] what's coming down the pipeline. So again, if you have any thoughts on that, [5:07] the communications committee is looking for your input. [5:12] » Grace, I would like I would like to see the I if you could send me the results [5:15] of the survey, that'd be great. I also really like [5:20] what you said about educating people on how to present thoughts they have and [5:26] also to let them know that we welcome them at every meeting. Public discussion [5:31] times are always on the agenda. So that's great to hear [5:35] » certainly and those guidelines will come before the board before they go to our [5:38] websites. Just one one item too on the public [5:42] comment process if you know the guideline could include what meeting [5:47] might be best for each subject matter >> so that the right meeting [5:52] » that is all >> we do get back from time to time it is [5:57] » all right very good moving along the recreational authority uh recreation [6:02] authority we [clears throat] had our meeting uh a week or so back uh got our [6:08] financials from July uh doing terrific the month of July. [6:13] Exceeded budget um in all categories and we actually exceeded play by about 55 [6:22] rounds over budget. So the course is uh looking great. Uh there is a lot of [6:28] play. So stay the course as it get. So with that [6:34] uh we'll move on. Uh there is no unfinished business. that up it seems. [6:39] All right. Uh, new business. [clears throat] Resolution 2026-21 [6:44] is authorizing the submission of a grant application for the 2026 Main Street [6:49] Matters program. That is a [6:54] Let's see if I get this right. uh a grant of a total of 399,150 [7:02] would be um the township's portion uh out of a $798,300 [7:09] grant. We're looking to get half. That's the request. [7:15] » This is for ornamental wedding installation. [7:18] » So, we don't have a plan put together yet. We just kind of have a idea of what [7:22] we want and where we want it. We did look to have them approximately every [7:27] 100 ft supplementing the current existing overhead utility lighting. Um [7:32] so that is the plan as of now from Maple to Huntsburg or on Main Street. [7:39] » One side. >> Yes. [7:41] » I have a quick question. Where do we get our matching funds? Like where do we [7:45] take them? >> Uh our capital reserve I think. [7:52] Any other questions, comments? If not, I'll take a motion to approve [7:57] that resolution. >> I'll make the motion. I'll second. [8:00] » Moved and second. All in favor say I. I. Post say nay. Motion carries. [8:05] » Next up, resolution 2026-22 setting forth the minimum municipal [8:10] obligation for police and non-uniformed employees pension funds for the calendar [8:15] year 2027. Joe, I don't know if you want to be able [8:19] to back out on this, but required by the state. [8:22] » It is a requirement by the state to ensure that the township had equity [8:26] funding the various pension plans. Uh we have police pension plan. We have a [8:31] non-uniform pension plan that includes employees who were hired prior to 20 [8:37] 2016. And then we have a defined contribution plan which was uh everyone [8:44] who's been hired after 2016. Um and county the county actuaries review the [8:50] plans, review the u the funds that are in the uh funds for the the pension [8:57] program and then they calculate based on actuarial assumptions what the yearly [9:03] contribution from the township should be. Um there was slight increases in uh [9:09] in each one uh nothing major and that usually follows the uh the stock market [9:16] because the funds we have each of the plans are in in [9:22] funds for that are largely in the stock market 100%. [9:26] » No, it's usually about 65 35. So there's some in bonds and and cash as [9:33] well. Uh but uh it's a pretty standard mix. Um so the [9:40] MMO for the police pension plan is slated for $342,673. [9:48] The lower south municipal pension plan is uh [9:54] $56,000 [9:57] uh $125. um a portion of that $223, [10:03] uh454 is for the authority, the township [10:08] authority and the township uh non-uniform plan are are done together. [10:14] So they're both the employees in the authority and employees in the township [10:20] are under the same pension. So there's they calculate how each t so the tax [10:26] portion is 56,000 and the authority portion is 23,000 they have fewer points [10:33] and the contribution um plan for uh township is $70,924 [10:44] for the authority is 18,65. [10:50] » Very good. Any uh questions or further comment on resolution 2026-22? [10:59] » Hearing none, I'll take the motion to approve. [11:02] » Motion second. >> Moved and seconded. All in favor say I. [11:06] » I. Say nay. >> Motion carries. Next up, resolution [11:10] 2026-23, which is the commitment of funds for [11:14] land preservation of the Keen farm. This would be the uh township's uh commitment [11:22] to that to that farm. 15% reserves the farm. It's $47,8365. [11:31] » And this is a budgeted item that we went for. [11:37] » Any questions or comments for the board? >> I just think it's great that the team's [11:42] wishes have finally come to fruition. Congratulations [11:47] to the teams on accomplishing what was a family goal and uh I'd be delighted to [11:54] approve the resolution for [11:59] 2026-23 commitment for funds for agricultural [12:04] conservation of the food. Second moved and seconded. All in favor say I. I. [12:10] Oppos say nay. Motion carries. Next up, resolution 2026-24. [12:16] This is 270 Main Street, 460 Stover Road, lot line adjustment plan approval. [12:24] Mr. Chairman, Sure. If I could before we start this um given [12:29] um share of ownership, my family has an H& properties. I will be abstaining from [12:35] all declaration, discussion, and voting on items. Very good. [12:39] » There's a member item that has been drawn up by the our solicitor. I will be [12:43] signing this and getting it to town manager. [12:46] » We'll attach it to the minutes. Very good. [12:50] All right. With that, uh, we have some friends in to, I guess, discuss the this [12:56] is the outcome of our triparty agreement, uh, to facilitate the [13:00] purchase of Leo. >> Yep. You took the words out of my mouth. [13:05] This is just the lot line plan and I have a representative here from Van Clee [13:08] Engineering to answer any questions as well as Bobby Henning from H&A [13:12] Properties uh Limited Partnership. >> Very good. [13:18] Any questions of the board comments? [13:23] It seems like we've met a thousand times about this. So, uh [13:27] » I feel like I just saw you. It's great. >> You may regret that later. Um all right. [13:34] So then with that uh any uh any comments >> somebody here? [13:39] » Yeah. Well, for the benefit of those that might watch this video in the [13:43] future, maybe have just uh Scott run through real quick and [13:48] » give it the [clears throat] 30,000 foot. [13:52] » Yes. Uh good evening. Scott Mill, landscape architect with Anleaf [13:55] Engineering. Uh worked on the plan in front of you uh there on the screen. Uh [14:00] you can kind of see a running more or less through the middle of the site a [14:03] cyan bluish color line. That's the existing um left edge if you will of the [14:09] uh property. You can see the shopping center to the right, the Henning [14:12] shopping center. Um the idea was to expand the shopping center. And in order [14:17] to do so, we needed a lot line adjustment. So uh over to where the kind [14:22] of the green dash line is is the proposed lot line. And in total, it's [14:27] two and a half acres net. Uh there's some land in the ultimate right ofway, [14:31] which is typical of something like this. Um that's about another quarter acre of [14:36] land. And that goes all the way back to the rear property line, which you can [14:40] see the the left side, the yellow dimension, 655 ft deep. Uh it's [14:45] trapezoidal in shape. There's uh it's about 124 feet wide in the back and [14:50] about 202t wide in the front. >> Very beautiful. [14:55] All right. Any questions regarding S? Hearing none, I'll take a motion to [15:02] approve resolution 2026-24. >> I'll make the motion. [15:07] » I'll second. >> Moved and seconded. All in favor say I. [15:10] » I. Post say nay. >> Anyone abstain? [15:13] » Yes. >> Very good. [15:16] » All right. Next up, uh this will be ordinance 2026-09 [15:20] 270 Main Street, uh commercial district zoning map amendment, authorization to [15:26] advertise. Mor. [15:30] » Thank you. Um so if you mind putting that plan back up. Um what this map [15:36] amendment proposes to do is to uh reszone that 2 and 1/2 acre parcel from [15:43] from MU mixed use to C commercial to match the zoning of the H&A property of [15:50] the shopping center which is currently C commercial. [15:53] » Right. This shopping center intends to use this 2 and a half acre piece of [15:57] ground uh in commercial center. >> Correct. [16:00] » Yeah. >> We tried to avoid a split zone property. [16:05] All right. Very good. Any questions regarding S? Yes, sir. [16:09] » Is that potentially going to lead to another fast food restaurant? [16:13] » Uh I believe there is a uh site plan or sketch plan that is in the work and have [16:19] you been before the planning commission? >> We have uh that that conversation will [16:24] be continued at the planning commission on September 23rd. Um but that [16:28] application has been filed with the township and is available for you to [16:31] inspect. So, it wouldn't be just a fast food. It would also be, I think, an [16:35] expansion of the St. Luke's. There's other buildings proposed on that plan. [16:43] Make a >> like a surgery center. St wants to make [16:48] it a surgical center or something or >> correct. The the nitty-gritty of that [16:51] still being worked out, but it will be an an expansion of that existing St. [16:55] Luke's. Yeah. >> Great. [16:59] » It would be nice. Does that answer your question? Yes. Thank you. [17:02] » Can I get your name and address for the record? [17:04] » I'm sorry. My name is John Mertz. I live in Hidden Creek. I've been a township [17:08] resident for 27 years. >> Good to see. [17:12] » All right. Very good. Any other questions or comments regarding [17:15] ordinance uh 2026-9? >> Just that there will be a hearing next [17:20] month and this is just a motion to authorize it to be advertised in [17:24] accordance with the MPC municipalities plan code. [17:27] » Yeah. Thank you. Make a motion. [17:31] » Move the second. All in favor say I. I. Post say nay. [17:37] » Yes. >> All right. Very good. [17:39] » Great. Thank you very much. Good to see you. Have a good [17:42] » All right. [clears throat] With that completed, we'll move on. Uh [17:47] this will be again ordinance 2026-10 open space and frails committee [17:53] ordinance authorization to advertise. Uh this will be to facilitate the uh earned [18:02] income tax that was passed in May, so long ago. Uh and forming a committee to [18:09] uh do a host of things, but not the least of which uh will be the evaluation [18:15] of potential open space to come before including the home. [18:21] » Mr. Chairman have a comment regarding the proposed [18:26] um item 27-4 talks about meetings. It says a [18:31] committee shall hold regular meetings no less frequently than on a monthly basis [18:36] with additional meetings conducted as needed to fulfill the duties of the [18:39] committee. While I do believe the committee is going to have to meet on a [18:43] monthly basis to get started, I believe that might be uh an encumbrance at some [18:48] point in time down the road. And I'd like to maybe quarterly [18:53] » um and then give them the flexibility to meet more frequently if needed. [19:00] » Any other comment category? So since we're just advertising, we can make this [19:04] edit and get it advertised according. >> Yeah. If the if the uh consensus of the [19:09] board is to make that change, we can make that change and have that version [19:13] advertised >> and then also to list the change of at [19:18] least quarterly updates to the board with an annual written because right now [19:24] we have it monthly based on the conversation. [19:27] » That does make sense, right? um meet quarterly. Report quarterly. [19:30] » Meet me meet quarterly. >> Report quarterly. Yeah. So those would [19:33] be the two changes to this ordinance if if the board um authorizes advertisement [19:39] this evening. >> Good with those two changes. I'm good [19:42] with that. >> Any comment [19:47] reflection? All right. All right. So then with that, we'll take a motion to [19:52] authorize the ordinance um with the two edits bill. [19:58] » I'll make the motion. >> I'll second. [20:00] » Move the second. All in favor say I. I. Post say nay. Motion carries. [20:06] » All right. Next up, motion to approve fire police assistance to Tommenson Fire [20:11] Department for the chicken barbecue on September 12, 2026. I'll make the move. [20:19] » Second. >> Moved and seconded. All in favor say I. [20:22] » I. Those say nay. Motion carried. >> Next up, motion to approve fire police [20:27] assistant to Eert Auto Body for their car exhibit and open house scheduled for [20:33] September 26th, 2026. I'll make a motion. [20:37] » Second. >> Moved and seconded. All in favor say I. [20:40] I. Post say nay. Motion carries. All right. Next up, motion to appoint [20:46] members to the uh hopefully soon to be formed open space trails committee. Um [20:53] we had the privilege uh to review I think 19 applicants in total. Uh, one [21:01] thing I will say for sure, we have a very uh, [21:07] learned uh, I guess population here in Lower Safford [21:13] Township that the applicants that we got are great. Uh, I I would have in past [21:18] times we've had openings that we couldn't fill. I would have appointed [21:22] any one of those 19 students. Unfortunately, we're we're down to [21:26] three. We're only going to add three to the what will be for long to I guess in [21:32] total there'll be nine members. We've got six in place we believe currently uh [21:39] with three more to add. So Joe, if you want to just read off those that are [21:43] going to be I guess put forth as committee members. Uh for the record [21:47] that probably [21:51] [clears throat] >> So the three [21:55] uh citizen members are waited for Andy Kraak, [22:01] Alexandria Matea [22:04] and Liam Clearary. The two from the planning commission are [22:09] Joe Harwano and Julia Hurl. The two from the park board are [22:14] Stephanie Moyer and Indie Burch. And the two on board of supervisor [22:19] representatives are Keith Bergman and Mary Beth. [22:24] And then uh in January uh that will be I guess part of our reorganization as [22:31] would be with others boards and Okay. Very good. [22:36] » So with that I'll take a motion. >> I'll make the motion. [22:39] » I'll second. >> Would have been seconded. All in favor [22:42] say I. >> I. [22:43] » I. Post say nay. Motion carries. All right. That brings us to our second [22:48] discussion period of the evening. Second of two. Is there anyone wishing to be [22:52] recognized? Mr. today. >> Scott Bford 665 North [22:58] couple questions one. Uh we had a streetscape plan being [23:04] worked on, didn't we? At one point in the last few months, [23:08] » we did submit a grant um to enable us to go through a planning process. So [23:13] there's still ways to hear about that. >> And how does that connect with the [23:17] voiding point? Where should they be connected? [23:21] » Definitely they probably will. hand [23:26] check and then help me understand this open space and trail committee versus [23:32] the park committee. >> You ask you as a question where where [23:38] was that coming from? >> Well, I'm going to let Joe feel this [23:41] because Joe and Holly have done a little research on our park board and I think [23:46] uh we've got a little more work to do. Well, [clears throat] [23:50] the park board was formed in 1968. Uh, Slass Township [23:58] Code requires it to be implemented via pen ordinance, which never happened. [24:03] [clears throat] So, basically, the park board has been somewhat of an ad hoc [24:07] committee since 1968, >> but no, [24:10] » 58 years. But to I guess more to your point, I think that the discussion was [24:14] and it had been since we've been discussing how this committee was that [24:20] there was in place an ad hoc committee for frail society and much of the [24:25] discussion they had was finding connections and connections that were [24:31] publicly owned connections because everybody those connections a lot easier [24:34] than if you have to go out and so forth from residents or host. Um so there was [24:40] a portion of what they did as a trail and sidewalk committee that overlaps [24:44] with the open space committee. So there they the the committee the open space [24:50] committee and trails committee were looking at some similar situations and [24:54] as far as where trails could be placed and also open space. So it just was a [25:00] kind of a natural progression that the trails committee which was basically ad [25:03] hoc already was [clears throat] [25:06] this was making that a more uh formal portion of the trails and so I mean not [25:13] the open space since you know I mean it's difficult unfortunately we had 19 [25:17] people so it wouldn't be as difficult now as it was in the past but to the man [25:23] or to have people on two committees is a lot more difficult [25:28] But since a lot of what they were doing over overlapped cement. [25:32] » So essentially the charter of the park committee will change to just remove the [25:35] responsibility of trip. >> Well there was no charter. [25:38] » Well okayent [laughter] the intention will be the intention will [25:43] be you got the ordinance now set up for the open space committee. We're going to [25:47] have a similar ordinance for the park. >> We recreate it [25:49] » and we're going to recreate it in a manner that they complement one another. [25:52] » Okay. Because the other thing that the open space committee is going to do is [25:56] assist I think in the direction of pursuing grants and funding [25:59] opportunities which isn't something necessarily that the park board did. So [26:03] there's going to be kind of a division of labor. [26:05] » It's going to be a partnership. >> It really is really unique. Okay. [26:10] » And is I mean good good question. So the overlap one of the overlaps would be the [26:14] trails. >> No they'll redo it. [26:17] » Now there won't be an overlap. >> No they'll redefine the responsibility. [26:20] » Yeah. I mean, there still may be things that come up on the trails at a park [26:24] board meeting that might get kicked back to open space as, hey, here's an [26:27] opportunity for a connection. Can you guys go try to figure out how to connect [26:30] these two pieces? And then that would be a challenge back to open space. That's [26:34] just an example. In the park board would do much of what they do is uh monitor [26:38] maintenance and park usage and so forth. So, it would probably keep that focus, [26:44] but obviously people come to the park board and they say, "Hey, I have this [26:47] great idea to do this." And so maybe that would be where the park board would [26:50] say hey you know the open space trails commitment is the appropriate place for [26:55] that question right now you know implementation comes back to the park [26:59] » and then the oversight of the funds is in connection with [27:05] » all funds are with you >> recommendations come from that [27:09] » correct >> in both cases okay [27:11] » this is a recommend we'll point them in the recommendation [27:14] » and there's arguments between the two wrestling we had to have a cage Okay. [27:19] Three [laughter] public invited. [27:23] » I choose that. >> I got one. One other question. Come back [27:28] a little bit. >> Okay. Uh has the board seen the Clemens [27:32] Mill development? Ule [27:38] on May behind. >> The board [27:42] preliminary plans. Was is is there um street lighting on Sunny Town with that [27:48] project? >> I'd have to check plan. I can't recall [27:51] » because you're stopping at Maple, right? And then I just wondered why start stop [27:56] at Maple and Huger or what made it those two roads. And I'm thinking we're going [28:00] if they're doing lighting out there because they're building some new homes [28:03] on Sunday Town as part of that project too. New homes. if I don't recall if [28:09] they're putting street lighting because it only kind of makes sense to extend [28:13] the street lighting to Maple if that's where the other grant money is kicking [28:18] in. >> Well, it's a cost. [28:20] » Yeah, >> obviously. And it's not that I think [28:22] that that Maple and Hunsburg would be the only in between those would be the [28:27] only places would eventually go up. I think it's that's kind of the core of [28:31] the village and that's the first place to start. And I guess that's where I'm [28:34] saying if I don't think you finalize that development at the Clemens, if [28:40] there's an opportunity to have them continue it into the new neighborhood [28:44] along Sunny Town because they're going to be putting in sidewalks along Sunny [28:47] Town, a couple new homes. If they could put one or two or three to get it down [28:53] to closer to Maple to keep it going so we don't have to pay for it. [28:56] » Maybe we should get a spec for the street lighting on Main Street that we'd [29:00] like to see. I think we have them right. [29:03] » Yeah, we were looking um to use similar lighting ornamental structures that is [29:09] in the development um behind the wall. I'm sorry, I can't remember the name [29:18] » sounds good. >> Good. [29:22] » All right. And so in keeping with all of that, we got word today that uh our [29:27] elected representative for the state was successful in getting us [29:34] $250,000 uh grant put towards open space and the [29:40] track. So I think that's our first true grant coming in. So [29:47] » hopefully many more to come but we were hoping like 800 8 million worth take you [29:53] write the check we will take and we'll make a big one up don't get so anyway [29:58] that's another goal in in this >> all right very good [30:05] » you exhausted your question >> yes I am [30:07] » my three wishes >> any other public discussion yes sir [30:12] » I asked this in the um planning commission meeting, but I don't know if [30:16] it was the right venue to ask it. >> Uh given the traffic light at the end of [30:21] Quarry Road and now the easier access on and off of Quarry on the Sunny Town [30:25] Pike, is it possible to put a uh no trucks local deliveries only sign on [30:33] Quarry Road there? There's um [30:38] » we >> because of the proximity of where I [30:40] live, I observe a fair amount of large truck and tractor trailer traffic. I [30:45] think cutting off the 113 in Sunny Town fight corner heading [30:50] over the skip. Yeah. And uh I've actually noticed a couple trucks, [30:56] you know, 45 or 50 foot traffic failers coming up Bridge Road through old 40ft [31:01] road and trying to get out of there during lunch hour. So, it just was they [31:05] already took out the stop sign or the uh Yeah, the stop sign, the big turn arrow [31:10] there, and that guy's landscaping several times. Yeah. Making a right [31:14] there. So, and you're right. I mean, they're cutting that corner off and [31:17] using Google to do it >> as opposed to a truck [31:21] » app, you know. >> So, yeah. So, I agree with you, but I [31:24] don't know if we can >> One thing we could do Well, we could do [31:28] a truck study. >> We'll do a truck study. We'll have our [31:31] traffic engineer uh do that evaluation and let's see what uh make on that. [31:37] » Thank you. >> Of course, [31:39] » I'm with you on that because yeah, see I'm seeing a lot of truck driving [31:42] traffic back to the whole area now. >> Yeah, [31:44] » makes sense. >> Makes sense. [31:47] Any other public discussion? Yes, sir. Name an address for the record. [31:51] » Chris Williamson, 268 Trirley Drive. Um, yeah. I uh probably this is a better [31:58] question for the uh soon to the the uh trails committee, but I I love our [32:04] trails here in Louis Salford. I think it's one of the great resources we have. [32:09] Um I just when I went on a bike ride the other day, um I was wondering if there's [32:15] plans to connect off Oak Drive. There's those two new developments that went in. [32:21] Um I forget the names of them, but it I looked at the plans that were available [32:25] online. It looked like there was going to be a a trail that was [32:31] going to connect to that development across that stream. There is a bit of a [32:36] and I was just wondering >> change in elevation [32:38] » there. Change in elevation. That's right. [32:40] » Yes. >> I was wondering what it reading through [32:43] some of the planning commission minutes I might have missed something. Seemed [32:48] like like one was built sooner than planned or later than planned. Is there [32:53] a plan to connect that or how long would that is there any estimate on the time [32:58] frame? >> Yes, there is plan conceptually to [33:03] connect uh through you're talking about the post office and the new up there all [33:08] the way down to Main Street. Uh there's a bridge structure that needs to be [33:13] installed because of the change in elevation. So that's kind of the future [33:17] improvement that uh we're hoping to will occur. Uh it's going to take some fun. [33:22] So, uh, we're looking for grant opportunities to do that. I don't think [33:26] we've developed plans yet >> for the covert. [33:29] » Yes, the covert will start momentarily. >> Okay. [33:33] » Yeah. The cover then the road beyond the bridge, [33:39] » but the trail it wouldn't take a whole lot to connect that to that development [33:43] on their side. >> I mean, the road. Yeah. That would take [33:47] » much more funds, right? >> Oh, you talking about Sturgis, the [33:50] Sturgeis neighborhood. Uh the oldest is I think it goes the trail goes [33:57] through there, doesn't it? >> Yeah. The the trail's going to go over [33:59] the cover and and connect to the culdeac in the back. In fact, there'll be [34:03] another single family home built back there. [34:05] » Yep. Okay, great. It's awesome. >> Come back in about six months. [34:10] » Okay. >> Come back anytime. [34:14] Uh the there is a map on our website that does speak to the trails that are [34:20] out there, the sidewalks that are out there and kind of what future [34:23] improvements we're targeting. So it I don't know if you have a chance to look [34:27] at it. That's a good resource. >> It's a good It's definitely a good [34:30] resource. >> Very good. Any other public discussion? [34:35] See no takers. I'm going to move on. Do we have need this evening for executive [34:39] session? >> Yes, Mr. Chairman. Brief executive [34:42] session. No need to return. Excellent. So with that u agreement, we'll take a [34:48] motion to adjurnn. >> I make a motion to adjurnn. [34:52] » Second. >> Moved and seconded. All in favor say I. [34:54] » I. Oppose say nay. Motion carries. Thank you all for coming in. Pleasure guys. [34:58] Thank you. There is a
