[9:23] council. I'm here regarding the ongoing
[9:25] litigation. Sonteo County Superior Court
[9:28] has now ruled twice in my favor,
[9:30] granting both a temporary restraining
[9:32] order and a preliminary injunction. The
[9:35] court made it clear that the sudden
[9:36] interpretation of our election laws was
[9:38] a severe overstep. While I am grateful
[9:41] that the courts have protected ballot
[9:43] access, I take no joy in this. This
[9:47] unnecessary battle has cost our city
[9:49] heavily. Not just taxpayer dollars spent
[9:51] on outside council, but in the erosion
[9:54] of public trust. Our community is
[9:57] exhausted by divisiveness. And this is
[9:59] going back for years now. They want
[10:01] local government focused on pressing
[10:03] real world issues facing Milbury, not
[10:06] trying to rewrite rules at the 11th hour
[10:09] for who can choose to run for office.
[10:12] Every dollar and hour wasted on this
[10:14] lawsuit is a distraction from our urgent
[10:17] realities. We are a city that has lost
[10:19] lives to drowning in an atmospheric
[10:21] river. Our west side, faces extreme fire risk
[10:27] and all of Milbury now sits in the ember
[10:30] zone in case of in the event of a fire.
[10:32] With my background in Bosa and nine
[10:34] years as director of emergency services,
[10:36] I know firsthand that our real fight
[10:38] must be helping every single household
[10:41] become climate resilient. That's where
[10:43] our resources belong. Tomorrow, I will
[10:46] be formally turning in my nomination
[10:47] papers for district 3. My campaign will
[10:50] be about fighting for Milbury's future,
[10:52] safety, and stability. Tonight, you have
[10:55] a clear opportunity in close session to
[10:57] stop digging a hole. Do not authorize a
[11:00] futile, expensive appeal. Accept the
[11:03] court's directive, protect taxpayer
[11:05] funds, and let the voters decide the
[11:07] election on the ballot box. Thank you.

[11:22] Good morning guys. It's very for very
[11:24] short people here. Like to thank
[11:26] everybody for coming tonight. Um
[11:29] I strongly urge you to appeal this to
[11:31] the state of California appellet court
[11:33] in no uncertain terms. This is a very
[11:35] divisive issue in Milbury.
[11:39] You guys may have gotten some bad legal
[11:42] advice, but this is an issue that needs
[11:43] to be decided for the state of
[11:45] California. And this will make Schneider
[11:47] Vilers Milbre
[11:50] legal precedent for history across the
[11:53] state of California. Uh those were the
[11:56] were there know that the judge said this
[11:58] is a clear issue that a large number
[12:03] of the term limits in Sonteo County are
[12:06] not valid and they are actually only one
[12:09] day break. You got horrible legal
[12:11] advice. Should Miss Schneider be
[12:15] more like myself, she would I'm guessing
[12:18] you spent about $100,000 in legal fees
[12:21] here. Um, she'd been entitled minimum to
[12:23] three times that if there was bad faith
[12:25] there,
[12:27] $300 grand, but should you appeal it to
[12:29] the appellet court, she would probably
[12:31] be entitled to about $1.5 million there.
[12:34] And it's a small price for a city to pay
[12:38] to have this decided for the entire
[12:40] state of California. I strongly
[12:43] encourage you to appeal this to state
[12:45] appellet court. Decide this decision for
[12:48] all Californians. Term limits, the term
[12:51] limits all across this county are bad.
[12:54] And um quite frankly, they're bad all
[12:56] across California. I strongly urge you
[12:58] to appeal this to the state appellet
[13:00] court and let this become binding.
