audit that'll begin on March 16th.
[3:22] Um, city staff is recommending the
residual funds of $219,379
[3:28] be allocated
in two ways. The first is
[3:34] $63,293
towards the 2026
[3:40] sick and medical leave bank payouts for
retirements and terminations that are in
[3:46] good standing upon termination. Um,
these should have been put into the 2026
[3:53] budget and were missed when we were
preparing the budget. Um, so they'd make
[3:59] a good offset so that the 2026 budget
doesn't take that hit. These are the
[4:04] ones that we are aware of that are
happening in 2026.
[4:09] And then the second piece, the remainder
of the balance, $156,86.
[4:15] We're recommending that they go to
capital contribution for future
[4:19] expenses. This will reduce the amount of
future borrowings that we may have to
[4:24] take on within the next year.
If the council chooses to tonight, they
[4:30] can alter these allocations and further
define any of these funds from 2025 for
[4:36] other uses. The resolution 202603 may be
amended this evening to reflect those
[4:42] allocations. In addition to allocating
the residual funds, staff is also
[4:47] requesting a budget amendment to align
actual revenues and expenses incurred in
[4:52] 2025 to what was originally budgeted.
The use of the 2025 residual funds will
[4:59] be utilized to offset future
expenditures,
[5:03] reducing future obligations in future
budgeting cycles. The budget amendment
[5:08] to align actual revenues and
expenditures that occurred in 2025 has
[5:12] no fiscal impact.
Um staff's recommending that council
[5:17] approve this resolution as prepared or
amend it tonight um
[5:23] so that it can get approved in time for
the audit starting on the 16th.

base bid and alternates is 3,699,97525.

util street and utility funding as well
