[0:05] For over 35 years, the Minnesota Council 
of Nonprofits has convened, informed,  
[0:10] strengthened, and advocated alongside 
and behalf of nonprofit organizations.
[0:14] We work to keep the world safe for nonprofits  
[0:17] so that nonprofits can help 
build a safe and just world.
[0:20] Infrastructure support organizations 
like MCN play a crucial role in leading  
[0:24] systems level change to create the 
conditions for nonprofit success.
[0:28] Minnesota has a thriving and diverse nonprofit 
community representing 14% of our state's economy.
[0:34] MCN is one of the largest nonprofit 
state associations in the United States,  
[0:38] supporting the strength of our sector through 
education, research, public policy, and advocacy.
[0:44] As a result of our work, we want nonprofits to be 
equipped to effectively run their organizations,  
[0:49] led and staffed by communities with expertise 
and direct mission-aligned experiences;
[0:54] have access to systems of power and money;  
[0:57] and able to nimbly meet the 
needs of their communities.
[1:00] We are especially focusing on collaborative 
reform efforts on state grantmaking,  
[1:05] intentionally prioritizing the 
lived experiences, challenges,  
[1:09] and unique assets of nonprofits led by 
or serving rural and BIPOC communities.
[1:13] General operating support makes all 
of this work possible. Funding from  
[1:17] Yield Giving would not only be an 
investment in MCN, but also in over  
[1:22] 34,000 Minnesota nonprofits and the 
10,000 leaders we serve every year.
