And I know that had to do with all of the water line that was being replaced and that they were told to, like, leave it in the ground and not dig it up. And that was only four feet down. So can you imagine what they're finding? They have known since October of last year, when the deck was told that there was a chemical smell coming out of the ground by the utility company. And why are we just finding out about that now? I think, like there's other contamination that we have to worry about at the boat docks and who knows where else in the city. And now after all of that, we're hearing about town hall meetings. Town hall should not come after huge decisions were made. It's giving damage control, not public engagement. The city has a long history of development coming here using our land, our infrastructure and our power and our water, while we the people are left with broken roads, contaminated sites, failing systems, unanswered questions and dealing with the health consequences with your approval, we're seeing that happen yet again. The concerns we have about the data center are simple questions. What does it demand from our electric grid, our water supply, and our already strained infrastructure? Four of you couldn't answer those before voting. The Public Service Commission has an open case and is asking the right questions about the proposed data center. In residential neighborhoods, fireworks can cause significant disruption, posing immediate dangers such as structure fires, scorch marks, and property damage. They also generate intense noise that severely impact or severely impact a special, especially vulnerable populations.
