I'm Reverend Joseph your host and with me today is Rosa Owens, my co-host and I thank you for watching our broadcast today. [0:39] When something is said about somebody, a lot of times they use different phrases and this [0:49] phrase is very popular and when you think about this phrase that I'm going to say automatically [0:57] you would think of a person, king of, and what would come to your mind, well maybe would [1:07] king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. You talked a little [1:13] Richard about that and he'd say, no, no, no, no, no. Elvis [1:17] wasn't the king. I'm the king. And then you go to basketball and [1:25] the king is Lebron James. So we relate when words to different type [1:33] people. Well, when the Bible, King of, is a King of Salem, and his name is Melchesida. And nobody [1:42] knows anything about them. He just kind of like existed. They don't know his mother. They [1:47] don't know his father. But Abraham knew of him in the spirit realm. And those of you who don't [1:55] understand the Bible aren't born again, you won't understand what I'm going to say next. Those [2:01] of you who have knowledge of the Bible, you'll understand that Melchezadak was a type of [2:08] Christ. He was a high priest. And what Abraham did is, whenever Abraham got spoils, [2:18] he besides being a man who was a father of faith, he was also a warrior. And he rescued [2:26] his nephew Lot, and they got all these goods, and he gave 10% of the goods a tie to [2:36] McKessor that. [2:38] So he was the king of Salem. [2:41] There's one king of the whole universe, and he is the king of kings, and this name is Jesus [2:49] Christ. [2:50] He's the Lord of Lords. [2:53] There's kings around the world. [2:57] He's greater than any of those kings because he's God. [3:02] And the kings that people say are kings who are on the throne, [3:07] LeBron James, Elvis Presley, a little Richard, [3:12] and you can go into any field. [3:15] You can go into the arch industry. [3:20] you could go into the fashion industry, you can go into the stylist industry and they'll all have [3:27] somebody who they look to as the king. But the king of kings, the Lord Jesus, created every [3:35] one of those human kings. A matter of fact, on the cross, when he was butchered and killed and he [3:43] allowed these Roman soldiers to do it, the creation who hung on the cross, like a piece of meat, [3:50] to die for your sins and my sins, who said, forgive him, what happened there was he was [4:00] the creator and he let the creation kill them. That's the love of God that you need to [4:07] know in a personal way, like our guest today. Rose, were you pleased in Bruce, I guess? [4:12] Yes, Jerry Antimati, welcome. How are you today? Pretty good. So Jerry, you know these [4:19] King's, but you didn't know him back then, growing up, were you raised in the Word of God, did [4:24] you go to church? [4:26] No. [4:26] I used to maybe once a year I used to go to Catholic church for Easter and I didn't know [4:36] of Christ really. [4:38] You didn't know the way you know him today. [4:41] So what happened throughout your life, like in middle school, did you have any problems? [4:49] Oh yeah, when I was in middle school, I was a soldier for the enemy. [4:56] In middle school? [4:58] In middle school. [4:59] So did you go up with your mom and dad? [5:03] I had an absentee father. [5:07] I had a mother that, you know, [5:10] So, as you know, if your mother is not the priest of the house, you know, I just neglect [5:18] it, her advice, so you get yourself into situations at a young age. [5:28] That's not enough. [5:29] Wow. [5:29] Without having a father, it must have really hurt you. [5:34] And it probably caused you to look to other maybe older young men that were older to get [5:45] your mentoring and that's what happened to you, sir. [5:48] Yes, I felt it's about it. [5:51] Well, if you just said, most of my friends, back then, were guys that were doing demonic things [6:00] because I didn't have any father at home to take me to church and to speak to me about the Lord. [6:09] So my friends were guys that were in the park with gangsters, guys that would deal in drugs, [6:16] guys that spend most of their time playing C-LO and doing all the wrong things. [6:24] And I didn't know, I didn't know right from wrong, so I was following those evil spirits. [6:32] So did you feel comforting that? [6:35] Did you feel like you belonged somewhere? [6:40] Yes, they, they are, you know, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. [6:48] So they make you think that the wrong things that you're doing were right, you know, showing [6:54] you, you can make money selling drugs and, and doing robberies and stuff like that, that, [7:03] that, you know, you can make a lot of money. [7:06] So the things that were in high school? [7:10] Yes. [7:11] And in fact, in Afgrade, they gave me it's a difficult, and I didn't even graduate from [7:21] middle school. [7:23] So when I got to high school, [7:27] I started doing the same things, I started hanging out with [7:30] the wrong people, the teachers and guidance counselors came in my mother and told them, look [7:38] at your son. [7:38] He's hanging out with the wrong people. [7:40] So at that that was the red flag and you know I didn't I didn't listen to [7:48] until the teacher saw the mother your mom you didn't listen to your mom of course that's that's correct [7:55] When when you had this situation happen to you joining the gang or joining these you know older people and stuff like that [8:07] When you go home, like did your mother see something change within you, or did you kind of try to hide it? [8:14] Because now you're getting involved and probably what's drinking, drug and other stuff? [8:20] Did you hide it? Did your mother see it? Or how did that affect you when you went home when you started getting hurt? [8:27] and my mother smelled the beer and the marijuana on me, she saw that and started screaming and, of course, when you're high, you don't pay that no attention and, you know, I didn't pay it, no attention. [8:45] You know, the word of God says, those that seek wise counsel, the wise wise people, and I didn't see that at that time. [8:55] Did you have any siblings? [8:59] Yes, I have a daughter. [9:01] Do you have any sisters or brothers? [9:04] Yes. [9:05] Five, five sisters and three brothers. [9:07] They didn't get into the same thing, did they? [9:10] No, no, no. [9:13] I have two brothers that passed the way. [9:17] I really didn't have that. [9:19] Like I said, that man mentor. [9:22] So, you were seeking for the mentoring and you found that in these gangs. [9:29] Now, a lot of people say, like, go smoking marijuana, it's no big deal. [9:34] You know, the human, many states legalize marijuana. [9:36] What do you say to that? [9:38] A lot of people think they need it just to calm down. [9:41] No. [9:43] Marijuana just makes you burns your brain and I remember, friend of mine, that was chromatose. [9:50] after he smoked some marijuana with some other substance, you know, he just stood [9:57] Chroma toes for about an hour. [10:01] Yeah, plus it, that's just the beginning. [10:05] And you know, people who haven't smoked it, now will start smoking it. [10:09] And then after a while they'll say, it doesn't satisfy them. [10:12] Thank you. [10:13] So they'll go to Coke to go to heroin. [10:15] And you know, it's all about the, [10:17] The system in this country is backwards and there's nothing that's wrong everything is okay by the law, and we [10:27] That's why we see a decay of morality in our country the way it is now what in these wrong people did you ever get go to jail because of what that? [10:40] Yes, when I was [10:41] 16 years old [10:44] friend [10:44] friend of mine's that was [10:47] You know, [10:51] I don't know how I explained it. [10:52] He was a person that would rob people. [10:56] And then, yeah, I don't know if you've ever heard this phrase before, [11:01] he would say, if you're going to go to jail, go to jail for something big. [11:05] So we went and together and we caught Jack, a guy, [11:13] sorry, I'm nervous, I've been thinking about this because it bothered me. [11:19] So, you know, we called Jack a guy and, you know, we went and we did a robbery and I got [11:29] caught and then got the gentleman that we robbed this car and we put him in the truck [11:35] then impressed any charges on us. [11:39] So, I went to a youth detention facility in Vahala and I stayed there for like eight months. [11:51] And when I came out, you know, instead of, you know, being rehabilitated and I had the opportunity to receive the word from the ministries. [12:02] they had there, I didn't take a vanage of that. [12:06] So I came out and continued to serve the enemy. [12:13] Wow. [12:14] You're so blessed because God was in this. [12:17] Because when you put somebody rose in the trunk. [12:19] When you kidnap someone, yeah. [12:21] They're going to say, OK, they kidnap me on person charge. [12:24] Right, right. [12:25] And that's going to be added on a lot more. [12:28] So even though at their time, [12:31] He didn't know that was a hand of God, but when you look back later, I'd share it. [12:36] He didn't know the hand of God, so how does this escalate your life of sin? [12:44] Well, not until I was 46 when I went to a little small church on Soundview Avenue in the Bronx that I was delivering. [12:58] somebody invited me to church and I accepted the invitation and I gave my life to Jesus Christ. [13:10] It's strange. Before that, I felt like that did it get worse to escalate drugs, gambling [13:16] out the whole wheel. We're doing that women is very, very interesting. I'm glad you brought that up [13:22] Because I went from tobacco, I worked for a tobacco company, I didn't realize what I was doing [13:29] in people's life, but I was good money working with a tobacco company, I had people telling [13:35] me, you know, why are you giving out samples these things to killing people and they [13:39] given people cancer. [13:41] So from there I went to a beer company, a bow-wiser, and I started drinking and doing [13:52] promotions and hanging out with girls and breaking night and, you know, losing all my money [14:00] in the casinos and, you know, I lost my wife behind the casinos. You know, I gambled all [14:13] rent money, you know, lost a car, you know, a hit rock bottom. [14:19] Right. That's what happens. And by the way, besides [14:22] them legalizing marijuana, they're going to legalize gambling. [14:25] Yes. It's going to the same thing. It's going to destroy people's lives. [14:30] They're going to have a people who never gambled. Now it's going to be more. [14:35] People that we're doing it illegally. Now I'm going to be [14:37] and they're making your needs to do it from home. [14:41] And it's going to affect lies where people are going to kill themselves. [14:46] They're going to lose their homes. [14:48] They're going to be divorced. [14:50] And it's all about getting money. [14:52] Right. [14:53] So we don't care as long as we get the money, [14:57] then it'll be okay. [15:00] And you're a perfect example of it. So all this stuff with the women with the gambling, with everything, you must have felt really peace inside, huh? [15:12] Well, that's the way the enemy makes you feel, you know, for the love of money, he makes you feel that there's love and there is none. When you see what you lose, behind the love of money, you lose it all. [15:28] You lost your family. You lost everything. Did you lose your job? [15:35] No, that was the only thing that God, I didn't lose. [15:40] I needed the job to always work hard after I got out of prison because I didn't want to go back. [15:51] you know Satan comes to give glory for himself when he was with Jesus in the wilderness and he was [16:03] tempting Jesus he said listen bow down to me and I'll give you what all the kingdoms of [16:10] the world in other words I'll give you fame I'll give you money I'll give you power I'll give you [16:15] women I'll give you drugs whatever you want and now he's talking to the creator of the world [16:21] I mean, how dumb is that? [16:24] I mean, Jesus created the world. [16:26] Right. [16:26] And when Adam and Eve send the keys went over to Satan. [16:31] So he's a wicked landlord. [16:33] Yeah. [16:34] But Jesus is the owner of this world because he created it. [16:39] And Jesus said, that's your worship, the Lord thy God, only. [16:43] And finally, you got to a point where you know that, as you said earlier in the show, [16:48] you were in the enemy's camp and you were worshiping him, now you finally realized Jerry that [16:55] inside you, you were like dead men's bones, there was no life. And so when you came to Christ, [17:02] how did it feel within compared to without Christ? Wow, just the first moment that I received [17:11] Christ just started crying and, you know, I surrendered to him and he became my Lord in [17:18] Savior and just gave up all the God as a God of exchange. So I gave him all my words [17:28] and he gave me his best. Did that happen right away, Javier? Was it a progress? It was a little [17:36] process, you know, the past of one day spoke in five years, you're going to change the way [17:43] you speak, the way you talk, and the people you have in your life. And you know, I, I, it was [17:50] correct, you know, you prophesied that to me. Did anybody who was saved that shared their life [17:57] with you, were like you, that you could relate to? Definitely. And tell us about that. [18:03] my pastor, my spiritual father. His testimony was when he was 15 years old, his father had [18:13] him on alcohol and he was an alcoholic, a 15. And I heard that testimony that related to [18:22] me because I, he had a choice and he made a good choice. I've been to surrender his life [18:31] Christ, and I've made the wrong choice, I surrendered my life to the enemy, and that's why I ended up [18:40] where I did. So you can relate to his testimony, and how God brought it in. [18:47] Bring people together, bless that. Now, a lot of people, they say, oh, I'm so far gone and I [19:00] you piece, you know, if you wait on him, he's going to give you the piece that he only gives. [19:08] Would you say that your wife leaving you was the catalyst for you to say to realize I went to you, [19:14] I might you have lost. [19:17] My daughter, I have in the daughter that that made me hit rock bottom because when you have a daughter, [19:26] you know, you want to be there, the father, the protector, you know, even when I wasn't, [19:34] you know, didn't have that relationship with Christ yet, I knew it was a wrong thing [19:40] for me to not be there. [19:42] So, so even though, excuse me, you weren't religious court on quote, because you went to church [19:49] like once a year, like so many people do, maybe twice a year, maybe three times, [19:54] Mother's Day, maybe Easter and Christmas, but here you are an individual who wasn't religious. [20:04] See, it's so hard to religious people who are sucked into the religion that they're born into, to break away from that demonic spirit. [20:15] You know that it controls people, you know, and it kind of makes them miss the relationship with Jesus, which what he died for. [20:27] And so basically, as rough as it was with your life growing up, it was easy for you to come to Christ because you didn't have religion in your mind. [20:37] Yes, yes, and also when you realize that you empty then you have no choice by surrender because like you said [20:44] Jared Jesus exchanges the good things for the bad things [20:48] That's correct. So you developed a relationship with Jesus [20:51] So what happened now after you got saved tell us about how God has led you in ministry and what you're doing now in ministry and how probably when you're [21:01] When you're 16 years old [21:04] Right in a bank robbery [21:06] Right? Never thought that you would be what you are today, and your wildest dreams, right? [21:12] Thank you. I never thought I would be evangelizing, you know, the youth in prison, [21:19] given them my testimony. So you're going back into the prison that you were as a youth [21:25] and sharing your testimony to them. Are you a chaplain? [21:29] That's correct. 40 years later, you know, I became a chaplain and I'm preaching the word in prisons, you know, going out feeding the homeless, visiting people in hospitals. [21:45] It just gives me such a joy to give the good news of Jesus Christ to those that are lost and to know that so many people need this good news. [21:56] Have you started a ministry yourself and what about what's that about? [22:02] Okay, bike for Christ. [22:04] We started, you know, actually three years, God gave me the vision. [22:11] And I was waiting for sponsors to help me. [22:15] Nobody, you know, nobody gave me the sponsorship. [22:18] So I left it alone. [22:19] And then recently last year, I got encouraged, God says, [22:25] no, I actually would do this. [22:27] So I brought the, the, the shirts myself, [22:30] bikes for Christ. [22:32] That's what says bikes for Christ? [22:34] Motorcycle bikes? [22:35] No, regular bicycles. [22:37] Regular, you're going to go to wheel that we learned [22:39] when we were just children. [22:40] Exactly. [22:41] So you have grown men, assuming and women also. [22:46] That's a family. [22:46] on these bicycles would vice-recrises. [22:49] That's so cool. [22:51] That's correct. [22:51] About 15 churches are involved. [22:54] We ride and we give out tracks, [22:57] and we give out bibles, and whenever we have an opportunity, [23:01] we put out a prayer table, and we pray for those areas that need God. [23:09] How often do you do that? [23:11] We try to get together about twice a month. [23:14] like what's responsible for that? Well it's been amazing to everyone that sees the the [23:20] the shirts they they know that were followers of Christ and they were saying how can we join [23:26] this ministry because you know we want to get involved in serving Christ. Do you have a number or [23:32] something or email address that you could give over the now for the people to maybe they could call [23:39] May 917-687-547-1, and you know, everyone is welcome to serve, you know, enrollment is free. [23:52] So, what do you say to those people, Jerry, that they might know the word of God, yet they're not serving Him. [23:59] They're not totally surrender to Him. They say, I know the word of God. Yet, you know, they go the wrong way. [24:04] They drink, they smoke marijuana, what do you say to those young men or young women? [24:11] First, we have to know that you have to put away your own to be new creature in Christ. [24:20] And it took me a little bit of time. [24:22] You know, I had to submit. [24:25] You have to submit to God. [24:27] And he will show us the way. [24:29] Just like Paul did, he's no longer I will live it, but Christ, they live it in me. [24:34] So once we know the Lord, we are new creation in him and we have to pursue it. [24:40] That's correct. [24:41] Praise God. [24:41] And when your mom, now your mom, basically, she wasn't really serving the Lord. [24:51] And did she come to faith in the Lord after maybe your salvation? [24:56] Because I'm sure she saw a different journey. [24:58] Yeah, absolutely. [24:59] Did she come to faith in the Lord? [25:01] What's nice about that, yeah? [25:02] When my mom saw the change in me, she got uplifted. [25:11] And she says, man, I got to see why Jerry's on fire [25:15] for every day now, every day, every day. [25:19] So she became a member of the church, [25:23] and she gave her life to Jesus Christ. [25:26] You know, I just came from a men's weekend retreat and one of the guests we had on Robert and Gwendo was the speaker and one of the things Robert said and he was a heroin addict for 12 years [25:39] You know, and he said, you know at the end he just didn't he got her when he shot [25:44] Not to get high just to get up and to go to sleep and this is what he said [25:49] out of all the stuff that I've done the greatest high that I've ever had [25:56] is the Holy Spirit in my life and Jesus Christ running, ruling my life. There's no greater [26:03] height. Can you relate to that church? [26:05] Oh, it's been one of the greatest journeys in my life, serving, serving Christ with passion. [26:14] Because He's afflicted my spirit, my mind, my body. He's doing so many things in my area, my neighbors. [26:23] I'm sharing the good news and it's something that's unbelievable. [26:30] Words can't describe how good God is. [26:32] And you're still working and sharing the gospel as you work. [26:37] I know today, if you're working in a place and you're talking about Jesus, they hear Jesus and you're fired. [26:45] But you could talk about anything you want, you could talk about Buddha, you could talk about Muhammad, [26:51] you could talk about, you could talk about cursing, lying, screaming, but yet they went to hear the [26:58] name of Jesus, the one that loved them and died for their sins. It's like you're speaking about [27:05] hell, you know, and in your work are you in or you travel in your work, sir? [27:11] Oh, definitely. I work for a beverage company, so it gives me honor to work with various restaurants [27:18] and just the way I talk and and walk they know that I'm a file of Christ and it gives me [27:26] great joy when a person tells me pray for my restaurant. Pray for my family. Pray for this [27:33] area you know which which gives me a lot of joy knowing that you know it's Christ I give them all [27:41] Lord, because he's the one. [27:44] Amen. [27:44] Thank you, Jerry. [27:45] With a Christ of Monkeys. [27:46] Amen. [27:47] Thank you, Brother Jerry. [27:49] Thank you. [27:50] Well, Brother Jerry was talking about the King. [27:53] The King that can change everything. [27:57] There are kings in the world, rulers, presidents, people in high places that want to change things [28:03] and a lot of times they can and a lot of times they can. [28:06] But the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ can and will [28:10] change your heart if you let him. If you open up your heart to him, he'll come in, he'll [28:15] flood you with yourself and change your life. Make that decision today. Come to Christ. You'll [28:23] be spared of a horrible life in Jesus' name. Thank you for watching our show.
