[1:12] To $2,500 is for funding equipment for the expansion [1:17] of the program Mackinaw offer to middle school students [1:20] on the new South Marion High School. [1:23] This project does have additional funding sources. [1:25] The event can proceed with partial funding. [1:29] The Public Education Foundation of Marion County [1:31] is a registered 501 C three organization. [1:34] Provided proof of their status. [1:37] The organization received a grant of $3,500 on August 20th [1:42] 2025. [1:44] For 2025 Ocala Film Derby took place from September 24th [1:49] through the 28th. [1:58] Funding will be used for allowable expenditures [2:01] within grant requirements. [2:03] You probably remember that we had a few grants that [2:06] were awarded recently. [2:08] Grant fund has currently $800 available to allocate [2:12] for this current fiscal year. [2:14] And additional $8,000 will become available at the start [2:18] of the new fiscal year in October October 1st. [2:21] Staff recommends approval of this request [2:25] by distributing the funds across both fiscal periods. [2:29] Authorizing the remaining grant amount of $1,700. [2:31] A similar approach was utilized in 2020 for permit [2:37] for the Community Alliance Inc.. [2:39] In support of NFS in that case? [2:42] Awarded $1,400 in 2024. [2:45] The remaining $600 in 2025. [2:48] To complete their request of $2,000 per month we have Lori. . [2:59] >> Lori would you like to come to the podium? [3:02] Your name and address? [3:05] Lori Zink. [3:06] 1236 Ninth Avenue Ocala. [3:08] 34471. [3:11] Would you like me to address the grant? [3:15] Or answer questions? [3:17] >> I think we have the background of the grant, [3:21] provided by staff and it might be helpful. [3:24] You can correct me if I'm wrong you talk about the impact. [3:30] >> Certainly. [3:31] Yes. [3:31] We are really excited. [3:33] This is our fourth year. [3:35] This year coming with the largest number of students [3:38] we have all eight high schools. [3:40] And every middle school except for one is participating. [3:44] The one that is not participating [3:46] does not have a video technology or digital media program in it. [3:51] Now we are up to w dash this year -- [3:55] we were dealing with about 100, a little under 150 students. [4:00] We are going to be giving out over $20,000 worth [4:05] of scholarships this year. [4:07] After this year -- we've now become the largest scholarship [4:12] provider through the public Education Foundation, [4:16] to the Marion County Public School system, in Marion County. [4:20] We are super happy about that. [4:22] As far as the equipment tax to first thank you [4:25] all for your support last year. [4:27] What we were doing last year w Dash was building packs. [4:30] What we found in the first two years -- [4:33] we were gaining equipment from the schools. [4:37] Unfortunately -- not all of our schools have the same equipment. [4:42] Some schools have a lot of good stuff [4:46] from other schools don't have any some have more. [4:49] We were piecemealing together, as close to an equal level [4:54] playing field, between all the teams that we could permit we [4:58] realized a we couldn't keep doing it -- [5:03] doing it that way. [5:05] A group of filmmakers in town to potential local industry [5:08] filmmakers to all work together, and pull they pack together that [5:13] would be like standard industry equipment for the students. [5:17] We have been building those packs now? [5:21] We got the packs almost full last year right this year -- [5:26] my final. [5:27] The packs will be done the good news is -- [5:29] to all of you have supported us through this -- to the packs -- [5:33] I don't know if you're familiar with B and H? [5:37] B and H is one of the largest supply companies for film [5:42] and video equipment there is. [5:43] B and H has been kind of watching the film Darby's. [5:46] They have helped us with a couple of things. [5:49] Some software. [5:50] The last couple of years. [5:52] This year they have committed. [5:55] They said you've got your packs. [5:57] After this year, we hope we can finish off the packs totally. [6:02] They sent from here on out -- we will be the provider of all [6:05] of your equipment for the film Derby. [6:07] You will never have to worry about standard industry standard [6:11] equipment again. [6:12] Thank you. [6:13] That is a testament to everybody they saw the community [6:17] support that came with this. [6:19] Now we have come in. [6:20] We are doing something new this year, that we've never done -- [6:25] on Saturday, we're hosting a college and career expo. [6:29] And a future Filmmakers parent panel. [6:33] We've had amazing response from colleges. [6:36] We have full scale Santa Fe.. [6:42] UF. [6:42] Journalism and Film. [6:44] FSU. [6:47] I can't remember. [6:49] There's a lot that are coming. [6:53] We are going to do a talk -- a panel. [6:58] For parents as well. [6:59] We have people from the school system coming to talk about [7:03] financial . [7:07] Help me out here. [7:09] Financial rewards from schools. [7:12] Scholarships financial assistance. [7:13] They are going to talk about career pathways. [7:17] They're going to talk about -- it's so that parents of -- [7:22] I hate to use film. [7:23] Video. [7:24] Digital media and video technology. [7:26] So double check and ask the questions [7:28] and be a little bit more supportive of the kids who [7:30] want to go into the arts, so to speak. [7:33] At the moment in the country -- if you look at number one higher [7:37] in the country right now is digital media and video [7:39] technology. [7:40] It's all about storytelling. [7:41] That is a story we are going to tell to the parents. [7:45] The colleges are going to be here? [7:48] Also, business offenders . [7:55] We can talk about the cruise available now I'm excited [7:58] to tell you all -- last year -- that's been happening every year [8:03] last year we had six of our film Derby students graduating [8:11] seniors that actually worked in paid internships in Ocala [8:16] businesses last year. [8:19] The other thing I want you to tell you from your support -- [8:25] in November in New York City there's a spot called the All [8:29] High School Film Festival. [8:32] They had about 3300 entries around the country [8:37] might you all be excited to know 300 films coming to the films [8:43] were from two film Derby kids from last year, who were juniors [8:47] from also going to be in the film Derby this year [8:50] like they used that equipment. [8:56] [Laughs] Those are sort of some of the highlights for the film [8:59] Derby. [9:00] >> That is fantastic. [9:01] Questions? [9:03] Comments? [9:05] >> Lori -- I would just like to say, [9:07] thank you for your undying work. [9:09] This has been so long and such an effort [9:13] that you committed to for years and years and years. [9:16] I just want to say thank you for doing all these things. [9:19] Look at the success that this program has created. [9:22] You should be so proud. [9:24] >> Thank you so much. [9:26] It takes a very large village to do this. [9:29] Everybody [9:35] [Applause] Throughout town in the building [9:37] we were dealing with about 180 people total. [9:41] Students that are mentors coming in. [9:44] That's all a local industry. [9:46] That mentor the teams of panelists coming in. [9:50] Workshop leaders from other Places. [9:53] Volunteers. [9:55] Teachers. [9:59] It is a big thing. [10:01] It's gotten bigger. [10:06] [Laughs] [10:07] >> All right anything else? [10:08] >> I just have a curiosity. [10:09] Which school is not able to participate? [10:13] >> I knew you'd ask me a question . [10:19] I need to get my notes to get to it. [10:25] [Crosstalk] [10:27] >> I think it might be Fort McCoy middle they're going [10:29] to send a teacher and if they want to start understanding what [10:33] we are doing. [10:36] Even though the film Derby is not in Marion County Public [10:40] School event -- we work with them very closely to comply [10:47] to some of the things for the safety of the students. [10:52] We follow their rules about having level two volunteers [10:58] to connect those volunteers who are actually with the teams -- [11:02] under with the students all the time. [11:04] Sometimes, the outlying teachers who couldn't participate jelly [11:08] they come in. [11:09] They are learning a lot. [11:10] They can actually know what you're doing [11:13] and what kind of program they can put in their schools. [11:16] >> That's great. [11:17] Anything else? [11:19] We heard the recommendation from staff. [11:23] Will you repeat it again, in terms of the funding? [11:26] We will need a motion . [11:29] Please. [11:30] >> Encourage you all to all come on Sunday the 27th from 2 to 5 [11:38] at the Marion Theater. [11:39] Our screenings of all the films with the scholarships [11:43] are awarded? [11:45] Of course awards for the films. [11:48] 2 to 5 p.m. [11:49] At the Marion. [11:56] It is super fun. [12:06] [Indistinct conversation] [12:09] >> The current available amount we have is $800. [12:11] That will leave 1700 for the next fiscal year. [12:13] Splitting that up. [12:14] And then can I have a motion to that effect, >> I will make it. [12:21] Approved? [12:22] >> Okay. [12:24] [Laughs] Staff's recommendation from Arnold [12:27] has made that motion. [12:30] >> Second. [12:31] >> Thank you. [12:34] >> Excuse me. [12:35] I think I have to recuse myself. [12:39] I work with him. [12:41] Have been doing work with him for four years. [12:53] >> Same with Greg, probably? [12:59] [Indistinct conversation] [13:01] >> The question do we have three members recuse themselves. [13:03] Does that matter? [13:14] >> Do we still have four voting yes? [13:16] >> Can we text the vote? [13:18] >> I'm not sure if you can text any of our members who are not [13:21] here? [13:21] I think it has to be documented in the meeting. [13:31] >> that is not supposed to be announced. [13:35] That is top secret. [13:36] That's not something we want to leave out to. [13:39] Maybe no one is going to review it maybe yeah I know. [13:48] [Laughs] [13:50] [Indistinct conversation] [13:52] >> I think we're comfortable. [13:53] Can I vote? [13:54] I don't know. [13:56] What are our bylaws? [13:58] >> I shouldn't say anything. [14:00] If you guys want to wait and table it until the next meeting? [14:05] What I would do is -- we don't give out our scholarships until [14:13] -- the foundation is our fiscal agent. [14:16] Pays out all of our scholarships. [14:18] What I could do -- just hold that. [14:22] It could go into the later payouts that we are doing. [14:27] If that helps in any way. [14:30] >> When is there next scheduled meeting? [14:32] I know tomorrow. [14:39] [Laughter] The official rotation one. [14:41] >> October? [14:46] [Crosstalk] [14:48] >> The three people will still be the three people. [14:50] I don't know that we solve anything, really? [14:53] >> In theory we would have to? [14:55] Potentially three additional members here. [14:58] >> Right. [14:59] >> They would [15:03] [Applause] . [15:04] >> There are four people who can vote today, three people can't. [15:06] Would that not work? [15:07] I'm just asking. [15:11] If there are four, four h. [15:14] Three. [15:14] Is that not enough to carry it? [15:23] >> I feel like you shouldn't count against the quorum. [15:25] >> That's still the majority? [15:27] >> Okay.. [15:28] We have a motion and a second. [15:31] All in favor. [15:32] If you are not voting -- say your name and that you are [15:36] recusing. [15:36] Maybe we should do a vote they have a form to fill out. [15:41] Yes. [15:42] Yes. [15:42] Okay. [15:44] Let's do a voice vote. [15:47] So you will know who is recusing. [15:51] >> Do you need a new second? [15:52] I'm not allowed to do that either. [15:55] >> Let's have another. [16:00] [Crosstalk] [16:05] >> Tito. [16:05] >> Myself. [16:10] >> [16:15] >> J Bailey I. [16:16] >> Craig Thompson I recuse myself. [16:19] >> Leslie Thompson. [16:19] I approve. [16:20] >> [16:21] [Applause] Honorable Barbara. [16:23] I approve. [16:25] >> Motion carries. [16:26] Congratulations. [16:28] >> Thank you all very much thank you for your support. [16:31] It means a lot to all of the kids. [16:36] [Applause] Please come to any part of the Derby the 23rd [16:40] through the 27th if it was the 16th through the 27th I think I [16:43] would kill myself. [16:46] [Laughter] It's the 23rd through the 27th. [16:50] The kids workshop day is the 24th. [16:54] The 25th is the day the kids will be around. [16:57] For the first time this year W going across 42 Tuscawilla [17:01] for locations. [17:05] Saturday is a career in college Expo. [17:08] Sunday or the awards. [17:09] I would love to see you at any and all. [17:12] Whatever you can do call me to come by. [17:14] That would be great. [17:15] Thank you all so much. [17:16] Have a good one. [17:17] >> By. [17:18] Okay. [17:20] >> Madam chair may I ask a question? [17:22] >> Certainly. [17:23] Jamie. [17:25] >> Hi. [17:26] I'm slightly confused. [17:30] I was expecting this meeting today was just [17:32] going to be the roster stuff. [17:34] Was I out of my mind? [17:36] >> No. [17:37] It was originally going to be. [17:42] We got the application August 20th. [17:46] >> Okay. [17:47] I'm not saying anything bad. [17:48] Does that mean we are not having an October meeting? [17:52] Or we are still having October meeting? [17:55] >> We still have the typical schedule. [17:57] >> Thank you. [18:03] We made it to item number five a continued review of the Public [18:07] Artist Roster applications. [18:09] Presented by Jamie. [18:13] If you will review how we're going to go through this process [18:18] again? [18:18] I don't think we hammered it out last time. [18:22] Emily is on her way, by the way. [18:24] I just got a text. [18:26] The dog got loose. [18:29] >> Very similar to how we did last meeting -- [18:32] point out artists that had discrepancies in how voting [18:35] went. [18:36] If there were large differences -- top to bottom scores -- [18:39] if they were close to the borderline -- [18:42] again asking com are we rounding up? [18:44] If someone got a 1375 double just just below the 14 -- [18:48] are we considering that passing score? [18:53] We will follow your lead on that paramedic [19:02] >> Do we need to approve each one individually to point out -- [19:05] would you take your votes as your feelings on them only bring [19:08] up the ones that seem like maybe there is a discussion that needs [19:11] to be had about that artist. [19:12] For their work. [19:15] >> I have PTSD. [19:21] [Laughter] [19:22] >> I know. [19:22] I'm sorry. [19:22] Here we go. [19:24] >> Did you bring your spreadsheet? [19:25] >> I did comment as a matter of fact. [19:27] There are several of them. [19:37] >> I took a page out of Leslie's book this time, too. [19:40] Name this artist Roberta review. [19:42] Richard Chung there were scores from as a to a up to 18 [19:45] including the final average to 13 point. [20:02] >> (Inaudible) [20:13] >> Would it help if we kill the lights? [20:15] Would that put you to sleep? [20:16] Maybe some of these top ones? [20:28] Thank you. [20:31] >> The average of 13.2. [20:32] Are we keeping that? [20:35] >> Average of what? [20:36] >> 13.2. [20:45] >> Let's discuss amongst ourselves. [20:47] All right. [20:48] Who gave it the eight? [20:55] >> I don't remember, actually perhaps if I just ask do we have [20:58] consensus for this to be entered into the registry? [21:02] >> I will say for myself looking at this. [21:05] I had to think about this one a lot. [21:07] I love that it was different. [21:09] It was interesting. [21:12] It just felt very human -- as opposed to cold and perfectly [21:18] sculpted. [21:19] There's something about it that just felt so interesting to me [21:25] a lot of figurative sculptures. [21:34] >> I would vote to push this over the 14. [21:36] >> Everybody agree? [21:38] >> Just for variety's sake alone. [21:40] >> Put it into the registry. [21:57] >> This next artist, we have a 12.8. [21:59] Very similarly. [21:59] The low score was a four. [22:01] The highest score is 16. [22:29] >> They are having their own block party. [22:48] >> I don't have a lifeline for this one. [22:56] >> Hello, Emily. [22:56] That's okay. [22:57] The second viewing. [23:00] We are doing the same thing (Indistinct) [23:11] we are on our second one. [23:13] We are saying, any questions , comments. [23:21] >> Jamie can you reread the high low on this one? [23:23] >> Low score of four. [23:25] High score of 16. [23:27] >> And the artist again? [23:30] >> Emily Clanton. [23:32] Comments were the community engagement. [23:36] Community driven aspects. [23:42] And the average was 12.8. [23:46] >> Were the comments given for the four? [23:51] >> No. [23:59] >> Does not to follow instructions. (Indistinct). [24:02] Pam will just make the comment -- [24:05] I give this artist a 13. [24:11] But I like that she had done collaborative outdoor work [24:16] permit I wasn't really excited that the boxes are just [24:22] vinyl wrapped. [24:24] She also had an arts and health degree from UF. [24:30] Maybe her approach to a I didn't give her 14, [24:37] maybe her thought process was a little more -- [24:45] maybe I'm skewed in that direction? [24:48] Maybe I'm not necessarily skewed in a bad way. [24:49] Maybe its own utility box. [24:51] There might be more -- city guidelines or something. [24:54] They have to be removal. [24:56] I don't know. [24:58] It didn't look like all the artwork was like that. [25:01] For those utility boxes, that might have been the reason. [25:06] I gave her a 15. [25:11] I'm curious more about the four. [25:19] >> Average is 12.3 you said? [25:22] >> 12.8571. [25:24] >> Okay. [25:31] What is the desire of the commission? [25:33] I hate to be a pain in the butt about this. [25:35] What is the next highest after the fourth? [25:38] >> 13. [25:39] >> I would say push her through. [25:40] That four is a huge outlier. [25:43] >> Good point. [25:45] >> Okay. [25:46] Excellent. [25:47] >> You've entered two more. [25:48] Into the register. [26:06] >> Next artist is Judy Kohn. [26:07] They earned an 11.85. [26:33] Staff representative can we scroll down [26:35] and look at some of the other ones as well? [26:37] Amy? [26:41] Plus they are basically watercolors. [26:45] There's no experience that I see here personal works. [26:50] >> I didn't read it really high. [26:51] We kind of decided the smaller pieces would not be appropriate. [26:56] >> The range was 2 to 15. [26:58] >> All in favor of not including? [27:01] >> Keep that one the same. [27:02] >> Keep that on the same. [27:03] Yes. [27:04] Thank you. [27:07] Push us very quickly. [27:21] [Laughs] [27:28] >> This score to 13.7 is the average? [27:30] A high of 17. [27:30] Low of eight. [27:39] >> What is the name? [27:40] >> Modern art creations. [27:41] >> It would be under C. [28:12] [Crosstalk] [28:12] >> The low score was eight. [28:12] The next one -- [28:14] 213. [28:14] 14. [28:15] 16. [28:15] 15. [28:18] >> Even though these appear to be primarily indoor sculptures? [28:22] I still put it at 14. [28:26] I thought they had the capacity to fabricate something? [28:31] Maybe I can put it at 15. [28:33] And bam sounds like a conjecture that one into the register. [28:45] >> (Indistinct) the high score is 15 or 16. [28:48] Hovering around 13.7. [28:49] Do we also want to sort of stay low consistent as well? [28:53] Doesn't matter? [28:55] Maybe I don't necessarily think so there are [28:58] two different very different. [29:02] >> It's work in my opinion. [29:04] For me -- I bumped this. [29:07] >> Yes we are good for this one. [29:10] Yes. [29:19] Maybe I'm next artist Mike Christie. [29:25] Low score of ten high score of 17 the average was 13.71. [29:35] Sorry Jamie. [29:37] Can you repeat those scores? [29:41] >> Yes. [29:41] The average score was 13.7. [29:43] The lowest score of ten. [29:46] High score of 17. [29:54] >> This person is basically my notes said basically a graphic [29:56] designer. [29:57] With no large scale experience. [30:02] I would agree with not putting him on the list. [30:06] >> Next. [30:18] [Indistinct conversation] [30:26] >> Thank you for moving that along. [30:27] Our next artist is Sarah Gamble. [30:29] The average score was 13. [30:30] The low was four. [30:31] The high was 17. [30:37] There are also four teams and 11. [30:39] The average was what? [30:42] >> 13. [31:02] >> I do not vote to pass this. [31:03] Personally. [31:03] >> I was confused on this. [31:03] >> What am I looking for? [31:04] I mean that was my problem. [31:06] I'm just not clear what we would be getting. [31:14] >> Not on the list? [31:17] >> Bye bye. [31:34] >> (Indistinct) I have other better work did you just come [31:37] to an interview and tell me you have better work at home? [31:39] Did it occur to you to bring it to the interview? [31:41] >> Would you pass that forward come up please? [31:43] Maybe Mrs. Jennifer Geiger? [31:46] >> Yes. [31:47] The average of 13.85. [31:49] Low score of eight. [31:51] High score of 16. [31:55] >> Very whimsical. [32:04] >> That was my word, too. [32:06] For what they did, I liked it. [32:07] >> I was one of the low scorers. [32:08] I would push her over the edge. [32:20] >> What is the average? [32:21] >> 135. [32:21] 138. [32:21] Sorry. [32:22] >> In the registry. [32:24] >> Excellent. [32:28] Maybe I was with you on that one, Emily. [32:32] >> Greg? [32:33] >> Next artist is Mark >> Solidary. [32:40] >> With an average score of 13.14. [32:41] The scores were closed for the lowest temporarily high was 17. [32:46] >> Can you repeat the name? [32:47] >> Mark Harris. [33:03] >> Is that conceptual? [33:04] The one that's outside? [33:05] I was a ten. [33:05] I think it was for the fact of the small works [33:11] that I was scoring at, that way I [33:13] was at 11 I had no artworks for public art installations outside [33:17] of that. [33:18] >> I like this stuff. [33:20] It was super tiny. [33:22] >> Yeah. [33:23] >> What about the one that was in the park standing vertically? [33:25] >> That's what we're asking. [33:27] That was more of a conceptual idea versus -- it felt weird. [33:36] >> It looks like it's floating. [33:47] >> (Indistinct) [33:48] >> I think we're moving on including this one. [33:48] We're keeping whether it's at? [33:48] >> We're not. [33:49] Right? [33:50] >> Correct. [34:04] >> Next artist is Erika Heffernan. [34:05] This one had a low score of two. [34:07] High score of 15. [34:09] With the average 11.57. [34:13] >> What is the next score? [34:17] >> 11. [34:18] A couple 12? [34:20] A couple 15. [34:22] And, a 14. [34:27] Interesting? [34:27] Not sure if it's a fit for the roster. [34:31] >> They're beautiful. [34:33] I was the two. [34:35] It didn't fit under anything that is shown publicly. [34:41] >> This is just two dimensional photography. [34:44] There's no experience there. [34:51] [Crosstalk] [34:52] >> No registry. [35:02] >> With Christopher Hershberger. [35:03] The average score is 12. [35:04] With a low score of four. [35:05] High score of 17. [35:07] There was a comment even from the higher score of 17W-I would [35:12] like to see larger pieces. [35:29] >> (Indistinct) two dimensional art? [35:31] Maybe I'm mostly he's done (Indistinct) . [35:51] >> (Indistinct) a big wide wall. [35:52] What would it feel like to feel that space? [35:53] >> I feel like a lot of it is fantasy driven. [35:55] I feel like -- it's possible that it could have gone more [36:01] of a larger scale of that opportunity hasn't come to him [36:05] yet . [36:09] I don't know. [36:10] I think the artwork is cool. [36:12] >> What was the average >> 12. [36:23] >> What it push him over? [36:24] >> I think we have to be fair to everybody. [36:26] I just don't know how much the one fourths makes a difference. [36:34] As much as we love it. [36:37] While? [36:37] No? [36:39] >> That's a big gap. [36:41] 12, 14. [36:42] Compared to the others. [36:44] >> That's fair. [36:58] >> This artist is Martin hallway track average score was 13.57. [37:00] These scores were closer together low score was ten. [37:04] High score was 15. [37:11] They've been on two virtual. [37:15] >> Glad we mixed. [37:16] Finally I take 12 here. [37:21] We are going up. [37:26] Definitely mural experience . [37:29] Maybe he's perfect experience with basic mural stuff. [37:38] >> One of my questions became in doing this -- [37:40] so much of this work is very (Indistinct). [37:45] I'm sorry we are just in Maryland. [37:46] They start to all look alike. [37:46] Do push something through that really is not is this offering [37:50] anything more than what is already in the higher range [37:53] of artists ? [38:02] Who is opening a restaurant and look at the 300 artist roster [38:04] to figure out which one? [38:04] >> I'm going to ask is this artist local or further away? [38:07] >> There's a manatee. [38:09] This specific mural is Jacksonville Zoo. [38:14] Yes. [38:15] Address is Jacksonville. [38:27] >> I think there's better work and the other piece is. [38:29] I don't think this adds anything . [38:33] Maybe that's fair maybe that's my question kind of looking [38:35] at it from that perspective to. [38:38] >> I just went in thinking that we are supposed to judge them [38:41] based on their own artwork and marriage and not compare them [38:44] to others. [38:45] >> I agree. [38:46] Now that we are actually parsing out this situation -- [38:49] by passing them through -- are we really? [38:55] >> I think -- even if we say come okay. [38:59] You can be on the registry because you mural experience -- [39:09] whether this person gets picked for a mural or not is not [39:12] our final decision. [39:12] >> If they're on the roster come it's no harm no foul. [39:15] As long as they can show evidence they can do it [39:17] >> If somebody decides to hire him that's not on us. [39:20] They have the option of 300 murals. [39:23] They chose that one that's their choice. [39:25] I don't know. [39:28] >> It also throw a curveball. [39:30] I would go through and Rescore all of them. [39:33] Evaluating exceptionally unique. [39:35] Something we've never seen before but characteristic I was [39:38] judging them by. [39:40] Throw another curveball for me to read about everyone [39:43] else through that lens comment specifically, that I didn't do. [39:47] >> Are we okay with putting this one in the registry? [39:50] >> What was its average >> 13.57. [40:00] >> Okay. [40:01] That would push him over. [40:18] >> This is Aggie Coco. [40:19] Averaged 13.85. [40:20] Low score of eight. [40:22] High score of 16. [40:24] Comments were well executed. [40:27] Unique shapes. [40:29] Also no evidence of larger work in public spaces. [40:44] >> New evidence of larger work. [40:45] That one that was on the dock, it looked like a window. [40:48] I don't remember the dimensions. [40:49] Not that one. [41:05] >> (Indistinct) connect named him dad one. [41:06] What's a material? [41:06] Marble of some kind? [41:07] >> This one is saying the dimensions are 200cm by 180. [41:13] >> Somebody? [41:16] >> Nothing. [41:16] >> Thank you. [41:18] >> Not big. [41:19] >> It says it's not in a public place. [41:21] It looks like it might be a conceptual piece? [41:24] Maybe? [41:25] >> There were some things that looked like people would take [41:27] a picture of from real close it looked like it was in a public [41:30] space. [41:33] >> Yeah. [41:34] >> It was like -- >> It says it was actually in Turkey last [41:39] year. [41:40] Right? [41:42] >> Yes. [41:44] >> It's an actual piece. [42:00] >> (Indistinct) [42:02] >> Do you all see that houseplant? [42:03] Do you see the houseplant in the back? [42:03] Is that real? [42:03] When things don't make sense -- you know? [42:05] That is a I. [42:15] [Crosstalk] [42:17] >> This was the example of the public art? [42:19] I thought it was a I. I didn't consider this [42:21] as an example of it being large scale. [42:22] >> 20ft. [42:23] >> Is that 20ft? [42:25] >> 200cm is six foot. [42:28] It the Googles. [42:29] I just asked. [42:41] [Laughs] [42:42] >> It's an unusual measurement to choose for a larger. [42:44] >> If there's any questions, this is a no. [42:50] [Indistinct conversation] [42:52] >> The rest of them were all smaller pieces I could think [42:55] at one point I did do the math on it. [42:56] What is 200cm? [43:04] [Laughs] I'm going to say no. [43:05] That's my personal thought everybody else calm my thoughts? [43:07] >> I would say no. [43:12] >> Sounds like we're moving. [43:13] >> Moving right along. [43:14] Enter into the register. [43:22] >> This artist, Tommy Lee. [43:23] Also a 13.14. [43:23] The scores were closer together. [43:23] Close score of 12. [43:23] High score of 15. [43:24] One of those boundary artists. [43:53] >> I saw in this one. [43:54] I had written down a lot of conceptual ideas. [43:56] Not lots of images representation installations [43:58] quirky conceptual artwork that's not showing [44:04] what you can actually do. [44:16] >> Do I hear a no? (Indistinct) [44:27] >> Lisa Bachmann. [44:28] Average of 13.8. [44:28] Low of eight. [44:29] High of 17. [44:46] I wrote that on my notes. [44:48] She's an art professor. [44:51] The installations are immaterial. [44:56] Not necessarily good about it. [44:59] It was a lower score for that reason. [45:11] >> It's 13.8. [45:11] If a business is looking for that specific work -- [45:14] (Indistinct) from finding her? [45:16] >> To me it didn't feel like it fit as part of what we were [45:19] going for come up with a roster. [45:21] >> That's true. [45:35] >> I am a no. [45:35] >> We can let her stay? [45:35] >> Others? [45:35] >> The score stays. [45:36] >> 13.8. [45:38] Almost anyone strongly feels about pushing It over [45:46] into the pass range? [45:54] >> I would. [45:54] I would too, actually. [45:54] >> Okay. [45:55] >> (Indistinct) maybe we kind of talked about it at the last [46:00] meeting. [46:01] My concept initially when I was looking at these -- [46:03] were outdoors materials. [46:05] Like we said -- it doesn't necessarily always have to be [46:10] outdoors to be public art. [46:13] >> That's true. [46:13] There's a lot of indoor stuff throughout this. [46:16] It was exceptional. [46:20] Push it through. [46:31] >> In the registry. [46:32] Doing great. [46:32] Thank you for Carolina Mayorga. [46:33] 13.7. [46:33] Close score of 11. [46:35] High score of 15. [47:04] Okay. [47:04] To be perfectly honest I gave a 14, specifically. [47:08] I want you to see where the discussion went on this. [47:12] I wanted to get other people's opinions. [47:16] [Laughs] I didn't think it was exceptional. [47:21] There's a place for it kind of cute. [47:23] Just depends on what you're looking for. [47:23] The little grasshoppers and whatnot. [47:26] Whatever. [47:27] I wanted to hear the discussion. [47:30] Keep it in 11 minute it was cute. [47:35] Smaller. [47:36] Scale. [47:38] >> It's still public. [47:39] >> I don't know I'm neutral on whether we push it over or keep [47:43] it at 13.7. [47:57] >> I wasn't really excited. [48:02] >> (Indistinct) [48:02] >> Not on the list. [48:04] [Crosstalk] And then I wouldn't vote to push this one. [48:06] >> Fantastic. [48:06] Moving right along. [48:07] >> I saw it come I would go come I had a seat. [48:09] To endorse it? [48:11] Is another thing. [48:13] I >> This artist. [48:23] Van McDonough the average score of 13. [48:24] Those score eight. [48:25] High score 16. [48:31] And then no. [48:33] A very interesting practice. [48:36] Glass tubes with stuff inside of it? [48:39] Fascinating to me. [48:42] I found myself wanting to score high. [48:50] What else? [48:53] >> There's other stuff? [48:54] >> There's some I guess I got lost in the sauce. [48:58] Are we -- I don't know. [49:03] >> Such a different medium. [49:04] Glass. [49:05] We don't have a lot of that. [49:09] Maybe I thought the glass tubes (Indistinct) . [49:20] I like the colors. [49:32] >> Let's say keep it? [49:33] >> 13 was the average I >> 13 was the average? [49:40] >> I would agree. [49:41] We are good? [49:41] >> Madonna. [49:41] Are we keeping it at 13? [49:45] >> We are voting on it. [49:47] Excellent. [49:53] Our next artist is David McGraw. [49:58] Score of 13.4. [50:00] These scores were closer together. [50:05] With the range of 10 to 16. [50:30] [Indistinct conversation] There's obviously here. [51:17] It's not personally for me. [51:22] Comments were could use better photography of the work. [51:26] Interesting objects. [51:27] Fun shapes. [51:38] >> I want to know where. [51:39] Is at a park? [51:39] I'm just picturing it. [51:49] >> Okay. [51:50] It didn't wow me. [51:50] I wasn't like this is the best artwork. [51:50] I love this. [51:51] >> There's some interesting shapes. [51:53] It's kind of fun. [51:55] I want to say more of that. [51:57] The piece was kind of >> What's the average? [52:07] >> 13.4. [52:08] >> This was the only one that actually kind of liked. [52:08] This one. [52:09] And then the one with the giant skewer with pieces [52:13] on it I like that one. [52:16] I don't know. [52:31] >> Are we okay with moving this forward to the registry? [52:31] >> I think we probably should -- there's experience here. [52:33] Just because we don't like it -- the material? [52:36] >> Right. [52:37] I don't think it's fair for us to judge one way or the other [52:40] we talked about this and the other context. [52:43] Do they have the experience? [52:44] Yes. [52:45] They have. [52:46] Is it exciting stuff? [52:50] >> Somebody might enjoy it. [52:51] Just not ask. [52:53] >> We're relatively close. [52:57] >> Push it on through. [53:11] >> Our next artist is Gregory Montiel. [53:13] Average score of 13.8. [53:13] Lowest score of eight. [53:14] High score of 16. [53:18] Mostly 15. [53:34] >> I felt like the experience was there. [53:35] Not my choice. [53:35] That's okay. [53:36] He's got the experience. [53:38] You know. [53:48] There were large scale works. [53:52] It might not be what I would choose, but somebody might. [53:57] >> I'm a little confused. [53:58] Why do we do this? [53:59] I am just being honest. [54:01] It is passable. [54:02] I am not being rude. [54:04] We should not decide any of this. [54:07] Somebody will like some of it. [54:09] Just pass them all. [54:11] >> They're not all Meryl. [54:13] >> I'm just saying. [54:14] One person could have gone through [54:15] and said none of that says mural work. [54:17] We don't put that in. [54:19] Everything else -- on some level, [54:22] I guess I completely don't understand this. [54:25] Is there anything that says you're trying to curate this? [54:29] We are trying to offer a unique? [54:31] I'm not being facetious. [54:32] I just don't understand it. [54:35] >> There is a two skill sets that we laid out from the very [54:41] beginning format what is he professional -- experience? [54:50] They created anything previously on a scale [54:53] that would warrant itself to a public art committee I [54:57] think it's pretty clear. [55:00] Somebody is doing two dimensional watercolors [55:02] or photography double or not people [55:06] should have in their register. [55:10] The whole idea is to bring at least some modicum of experience [55:17] in our quality of? [55:19] That is why we are judging these things we're not calling [55:21] those two different merits. [55:24] Maybe the next time that we do this -- [55:29] we have a discussion of beginning, [55:32] about what we are doing. [55:35] >> We don't enter those things. [55:38] If they're below a certain size? [55:42] What are the parameters? [55:44] Maybe I think staff could do that. [55:46] I think staff can eliminate the ones that [55:49] do not meet the criteria. [55:51] Submitting little tiny postcard sizes. [55:53] I think they could read those out. [55:56] >> I think that's a really great idea. [55:58] Because, this is an overwhelming number of things to go through. [56:02] >> Greg. [56:03] You are saying to tell the artist who [56:04] are applying to Pardesh there's requirements? [56:07] >> Upfront. [56:19] [Crosstalk] [56:23] >> Some of them were submitting stuff to submit. [56:25] >> I'm used to theater platforms will not let you enter that [56:25] stuff do your flat outlining company will kick you out. [56:27] This is, I don't know if the platform allows [56:29] it to escape through you'll easily come [56:31] if it doesn't fit the criteria. [56:32] I don't know. [56:48] [Crosstalk] [56:50] >> We use Andrea's cafe. [56:51] You put that all in there there's [56:51] no reason they can't upload images. [56:51] Right. [56:51] >> Good job all the time they're not qualified. [56:54] They are trying to meet unemployment requirements. [57:12] [Laughs] If I had someone apply for a job [57:13] they said it's too much work for me where are we on this? [57:13] Discussion going. [57:13] Good discussion. [57:14] >> What was the average? [57:16] >> 13.8. [57:31] You said the majority 15? [57:32] >> I say push it through the majority are 15. [57:41] >> You doing a great job >> You guys through all these artists.. [57:43] It's a lot. [57:43] >> Do we know how many we were viewing today? [57:45] >> We're about halfway through? [57:46] A little more than halfway through. [57:48] >> Let's roll. [57:49] >> I love it. [57:55] Damien this is Rhonda with an average score of 13.28. [58:01] These scores are closer together low score of 11. [58:04] High score of 14. [58:06] 15. [58:07] Sorry. [58:07] Maybe yes that was the 11. [58:24] >> rate this one my lower ones because were conceptual? [58:26] I the idea of. [58:26] >> will let her at 13. [58:27] Whatever. >> We look at same situation [58:42] we with Chris paramedic (Indistinct) everything [58:51] was not appropriate >> That is a >> Next artist Jack Robbins. [58:53] This one, score average was 12.57. [58:56] Low score of eight. [58:58] High score of 15. [58:59] 16. [59:16] >> It's funny how the real world (Indistinct) seeing another [59:19] butterfly. [59:19] Mirrors all have to have butterflies or dragonflies [59:19] in them. [59:20] >> City Council rejected one, one time paramedic (Indistinct) [59:41] >> So many people paint butterflies. (Indistinct) [59:46] [Crosstalk] [59:48] >> What was the average for this one? [59:49] >> 12.7. [59:50] >> I personally say no. [59:59] >> No thank you. [1:00:04] >> (Indistinct) [1:00:04] [Laughs] And then this is Allison. [1:00:12] [Crosstalk] [1:00:16] >> Allison reported 12.57. [1:00:17] Low of eight. [1:00:18] 16. [1:00:27] >> My notes say most. [1:00:28] No. [1:00:28] Most of it is indoor work. [1:00:29] There are two small outdoor intervals. [1:00:41] >> I would say no. [1:00:42] >> I would say no. [1:00:55] >> Artist coyote Sally. [1:00:56] Average was 13. [1:00:56] Low score of eight. [1:00:57] High score of 17. [1:01:06] >> I remember being confused by this one. [1:01:08] When I first looked at it. [1:01:08] It was explosions. [1:01:08] Right? [1:01:08] Okay. [1:01:08] >> Remember correctly -- according to my notes, [1:01:09] I said indoor paintings. [1:01:11] Bam it felt like experience installations. [1:01:16] Something you see at a museum or whatever. [1:01:37] >> Those are projections. [1:01:42] >> I was just at an art center in Virginia. [1:01:43] This is different. [1:01:55] >> (Indistinct) [1:01:59] >> I thought it was interesting. [1:02:00] I don't know what everybody thinks about pushing it [1:02:00] through or not. [1:02:00] >> I love it. [1:02:00] I don't know if this is something -- [1:02:00] I mean is there a place -- space in Ocala where someone is going [1:02:03] to commit to maintaining (Indistinct)? [1:02:15] Maybe I'm a state room. [1:02:16] >> I think this is more for a museum or gallery. [1:02:26] >> I would love to see a work like this in Ocala. [1:02:28] I don't know that there is a public space for. [1:02:28] Then maybe if we put them on the roster. [1:02:28] It will be what is the average Again? [1:02:28] >> 13.14. [1:02:28] And [1:02:28] >> I think it offers -- we are not the end user of this [1:02:32] register. [1:02:36] Do you know somebody that does projection art? [1:02:40] Maybe I'm pushing through there then. [1:02:42] That's an option. [1:02:43] Maybe I'm (Indistinct). [1:02:51] Maybe I'm good or bad, we just all get through this. [1:02:59] We invite you to look at 400 artists. [1:03:01] Make your pick maybe a little bit. [1:03:01] Maybe 350 artists. [1:03:01] Take care.. [1:03:01] Maybe they can do them by filter. [1:03:02] What is the next one? [1:03:04] >> We have Nicole Sherman. [1:03:06] With an average of 13.4. [1:03:09] These scores will close together 12 as a low. [1:03:13] 15 as a high. [1:03:15] >> That would violate base code. [1:03:18] No signs. [1:03:20] >> Definitely advertisement. [1:03:23] >> Yeah. [1:03:25] >> I would say no. [1:03:28] >> Everybody else? [1:03:29] >> Okay. [1:03:34] [Crosstalk] Maybe Brooke has the highest number paramedic [1:03:48] always the lowest number. [1:03:49] We wouldn't be here Brooke and. [1:03:49] Maybe my the group. [1:03:49] On this one. [1:03:49] There's nobody that I'm like -- if it was something it was [1:03:49] extremely passionate about -- [1:03:51] I would say it. [1:03:52] Okay. [1:03:53] Stephen Schuster? [1:03:54] Low of 18. [1:03:56] High of 18. [1:03:57] Low of eight. [1:04:01] >> I had to go back and look at this guy three times. [1:04:05] I didn't quite understand what I was looking at. [1:04:31] >> I just want to say [1:04:32] >> He was literally one of the last things I graded. [1:04:32] I don't understand. [1:04:32] >> Butterflies. [1:04:32] >> He's a bug dude. [1:04:42] [Crosstalk] [1:04:42] >> I think it's well done. [1:04:43] I studied it. (Indistinct) I don't [1:04:46] know that's a great fit for the roster? [1:04:48] it's lovely work. [1:04:48] >> Wow. [1:04:48] >> I saw that one. [1:04:48] Okay. [1:04:48] I can see where it could be public facing in that way. [1:04:49] With some of the stuff I was looking [1:04:50] at going I don't understand how this is public [1:04:52] facing in some way. [1:05:20] >> Chelsea average again. [1:05:21] >> 13.4. [1:05:27] >> Are you okay with letting him in? [1:05:35] [Indistinct conversation] [1:05:38] >> It doesn't bug me. [1:05:42] [Laughter] [1:05:43] >> Butterflies two miles from anything like that. [1:05:45] We don't have a moth at. [1:05:46] That is good. [1:05:50] >> I love the Beatles? [1:05:51] >> Artist Justin Tyler Tate. [1:05:51] With average of 13. [1:05:51] Low of nine. [1:05:51] High of 18. [1:05:51] >> This was just in Tyler Tate? [1:05:51] >> Yes. [1:05:51] >> I put a one on him. [1:05:51] >> Finally. [1:05:52] >> I'm not joking. [1:05:53] For two reasons. [1:05:54] One -- I was not impressed at all with the artwork. [1:05:57] Two -- I was offended by the statement that was made within [1:06:02] his packet. [1:06:03] About references. [1:06:05] Did anybody else read that? [1:06:07] >> I read that. [1:06:08] What did it say? [1:06:09] >> That was -- how dare the committee ask her? [1:06:13] This is an outdated archaic request. [1:06:18] I was like, don. [1:06:21] I don't need you on the roster. [1:06:25] Minimum just tell him he's watching. [1:06:45] [Crosstalk] It was there this whole time [1:06:46] I'm ready to because I'm trying to get pregnant according [1:06:46] to the letter extended to himself [1:06:46] as if it was a reference letter. [1:06:46] Wrote an entire letter in the packet. [1:06:46] I think basically he said he did not want to be on this roster [1:06:47] maybe that was the long and short of it. [1:06:48] How dare you submit to? [1:06:50] The artwork, it was not good for Justin Tyler Tate. [1:06:56] Justin Tyler Tate. [1:07:01] To was reminiscent to Burning Man. [1:07:28] >> You gave it a one. [1:07:28] Did you give it an 18? [1:07:28] >> I gave it a nine. [1:07:28] Okay. [1:07:29] Good. [1:07:34] [Crosstalk] [1:07:35] >> I thought that kind of matched the work I don't know [1:07:37] if I didn't know almost like an edgy. [1:07:37] You know. [1:07:38] Here is my application. [1:07:48] >> It does look like it could be set on fire. [1:07:50] >> Definitely gave Burning Man. [1:07:50] >> Again, I like Burning Man. [1:07:50] I'll be honest. [1:07:50] I thought this was some of the more interesting stuff that [1:07:50] was submitted. [1:07:50] I would love to see something more like this in Ocala. [1:07:50] Standard traditional Whirligigs. [1:07:51] There are some things here, I wish [1:07:54] somebody would do something more interesting and push it. [1:07:58] And edgy. [1:08:20] >> (Indistinct) [1:08:23] >> I loved it I'm so glad I was in town when it happened I [1:08:23] remember saying oh my God. [1:08:23] Thank you thank you. [1:08:23] >> When you all tell me I like it. [1:08:23] It's doing something different. [1:08:23] I see that it's doing something different but I wouldn't walk [1:08:23] by that I think -- that is art. [1:08:23] >> That is scaffolding. [1:08:23] >> This I agree with you. [1:08:24] [Crosstalk] I went to his Instagram page. [1:08:39] When I was judging this. [1:08:40] Why didn't you put this in here I honestly had I not read his [1:08:40] letter -- initially did when I saw that letter -- [1:08:40] I went -- okay. [1:08:40] Done. [1:08:40] Like, like, like, literally door slamming down. [1:08:40] The fact that he wrote that letter I [1:08:40] was like, like, I don't want your art [1:08:40] looks like at this point. [1:08:42] Because, you're kind of a jerk. [1:08:45] Your approach. [1:08:46] I don't think that was polite. [1:08:48] >> Is he doing a bit? [1:09:08] [Crosstalk] Maybe I don't have a person to talk to I have what [1:09:10] you submitted in your application. [1:09:10] If 300 plus people submitted comment had zero problems [1:09:10] submitting references -- you're the one dude who is like, [1:09:10] I cannot believe it. [1:09:11] >> There's one in every >> I think it's an F to. [1:09:33] >> 13 was the average. [1:09:34] >> 13.. .. [1:09:34] Over? [1:09:35] >> Thank you. [1:09:45] >> I liked it. [1:09:46] Everybody needs to have a voice. [1:09:47] >> What are you thinking? [1:09:54] >> I'm just double checking. [1:09:55] >> I put him at 13. [1:09:55] >> I would say okay. [1:09:56] >> You say okay to push him over? [1:10:09] [Indistinct conversation] [1:10:12] >> A yes Tito? [1:10:12] A yes or no, Tito. [1:10:18] >> I think it's creative. [1:10:19] I think it's different. [1:10:19] I would keep it. [1:10:19] There's nothing like it. [1:10:20] >> I would keep it. [1:10:30] [Crosstalk] [1:10:41] >> (Indistinct) [1:10:41] >> I would say I'm okay with the vote being 423. [1:10:43] Yes two no. [1:10:43] I guess it means I'm a yes. [1:10:44] I can push him over. [1:10:50] [Laughs] I was on the panel I want [1:10:51] to know what the letter was about? [1:10:51] You need to get over yourself. [1:10:51] Young man. [1:10:51] Thinking with Jessie Thomas. [1:10:51] With an average score of 13.7. [1:10:51] These were close. [1:10:51] Louis score of 11. [1:10:52] High score of 15. [1:11:24] >> I love the way they work around the architecture permit [1:11:33] (Indistinct) Quite a mixture of. [1:11:36] >> That was lowered. [1:11:37] Have to push him over. [1:11:39] >> He's pretty close. [1:11:41] Arnold? [1:11:41] What say you? [1:11:44] Okay. [1:11:44] Okay. [1:11:45] Push him over to the register, please. [1:11:57] We have Jose Trejo Mario. [1:12:01] With average score of 13.14. [1:12:03] Low score a high score of 16. [1:12:14] I know Titus would like this there's nothing that really [1:12:20] lends itself to be outdoors. [1:12:25] At least not to too much. [1:12:35] Opinions. [1:12:44] I will clarify by saying it's more of an installation [1:12:48] kind of a thing. [1:12:49] In a museum or a gallery. [1:12:53] >> I felt the same way. [1:12:56] I want to understand it better. [1:12:58] I don't know if it's about the photos themselves or just [1:13:02] difficult to capture in photos -- [1:13:03] in a way that I would find it compelling and really grasp -- [1:13:07] just what it is about. [1:13:09] Do you know what I mean did you all feel that? [1:13:35] >> The record show broke and I felt bad about Justin Tyler [1:13:37] Tate. [1:13:37] Yes. [1:13:37] >> That I could see everything. [1:13:37] Just a different point of view. [1:13:37] I really don't know that I'm saying it [1:13:37] well enough in pictures. [1:13:37] >> I thought it was kind of cool. [1:13:37] We got to see the smaller pieces. [1:13:37] Then you saw how they were realized on a larger sculpture [1:13:37] as well. [1:13:37] I thought that was kind of interesting. [1:13:39] Got a little bit more detail in the smaller imaging as well. [1:14:03] >> I guess I thought it was more of a written kind of written [1:14:05] work as art it's more about the words and the poems. [1:14:05] Rather than the visual element connect to the guys. [1:14:05] Love them it'll be fun. [1:14:05] Maybe they're adorable. [1:14:05] >> It feels like it wants to be in a gallery or a museum. [1:14:08] What if you had a coffee shop? [1:14:12] You want to type like that with a message? [1:14:16] >> That's true. [1:14:19] >> That's what you need to put ourselves I think. [1:14:21] The different applications we're not really [1:14:24] judging the art in that basically chin interpretation [1:14:55] (Indistinct) [1:14:55] >> This is cool. [1:14:55] I would say he'll be put into place in a public location as [1:14:55] opposed to just a small little pieces. [1:14:55] Once I got to this one. [1:14:55] I was like kind of like. [1:14:55] Oh. [1:14:55] This looks pretty cool. [1:14:55] >> Can we consider somebody do an article and say there's a new [1:14:55] public roster at places like coffee shops should look at it. [1:14:55] Do you know what I mean? [1:14:55] I don't think people know I don't think they get [1:14:55] the connection of -- that's a reason for this. [1:14:59] The public needs to know about it if they [1:15:02] don't get a lot of things. [1:15:04] How many of the people that come to the civic [1:15:06] are like I didn't know you guys were here. [1:15:09] The same idea. [1:15:11] Getting the word out in general. [1:15:15] >> I think we probably are a little more visible [1:15:40] (Indistinct). [1:15:41] I wish more people would get it. [1:15:41] Hear about it. [1:15:41] >> Let's go ahead and go. [1:15:42] Approve. [1:15:57] >> The ones that we have the most discussion on -- [1:15:59] will be the first ones I get picked. [1:15:59] >> Cool. [1:15:59] Very interesting we would end up with some very interesting stuff [1:15:59] in town. [1:15:59] I think that would be awesome now we have Max Valentine. [1:15:59] With an average of 13.85. [1:15:59] Total score eight. [1:16:00] High score 16. [1:16:25] >> Push him over. [1:16:27] [Crosstalk] [1:16:30] >> There is a cat. [1:16:32] [Laughter] [1:16:37] [Crosstalk] [1:16:37] >> I have a tattoo of a cat. [1:16:37] Maybe my dog ate. [1:16:37] I'm with you. [1:16:37] >> They did have a good mural experience. [1:16:37] >> This is our last artist. [1:16:37] >> What? [1:16:38] >> Let's go back through all of this again. [1:16:56] [Laughter] [1:16:57] >> One more time we have Jim Woodson. [1:16:59] An average of 12.71. [1:16:59] The lowest score was eight. [1:16:59] High score, 16. [1:16:59] >> This one didn't have any large scale works. [1:17:12] >> You said Jim Woodson. [1:17:13] I would say no. [1:17:13] It's all mixed media. [1:17:13] There's no sculptures or murals. [1:17:13] Or anything. [1:17:13] >> Everything was oil on canvas and small. [1:17:13] In our next five years we do this again. [1:17:15] That would be one the staff would weed out. [1:17:17] >> A great suggestion. [1:17:19] >> Never come to the light of day. [1:17:22] Very lovely work. [1:17:28] Jamie do you need anything else from us? [1:17:33] >> I think we can save that conversation for when we go back [1:17:37] to discussing the roster. [1:17:39] If we have size requirements we would like to have in place. [1:17:41] I think it's mentioned we talk about it being public art. [1:17:45] And considering that for applying. [1:17:47] Maybe if we have some specifics we can add? [1:18:14] >> Large scale. [1:18:15] >> Not Gallery. [1:18:16] >> That is subjective. [1:18:25] >> Are you making this report? [1:18:26] Is this for tomorrow? [1:18:26] What are we doing tomorrow? [1:18:26] >> Tomorrow -- didn't meet quorum. [1:18:26] You guys are free tomorrow. [1:18:26] >> We got through all these. [1:18:26] >> Right. [1:18:26] That was the point. [1:18:26] >> Are we done? [1:18:26] The creative registry? [1:18:26] Do we have more? [1:18:26] >> Those are all the ones. [1:18:26] I made notes of the scores that you [1:18:26] believe should be just high enough to make a. [1:18:26] I will send you an email with those names. [1:18:28] We have to use what's in Cafe as our record. [1:18:32] We will need -- if we voted a little more skeptical [1:18:35] of your artist -- you know coming to reevaluate. [1:18:38] I will detail that out. [1:18:41] And the artist that you agree -- the score was appropriate -- [1:18:48] I will leave those names out. [1:18:49] They will just keep that score. [1:18:51] >> Okay. [1:18:52] >> Only ones that we pass through we need to go back -- [1:18:56] >> Correct which means, y'all can sit tight I will just fix [1:18:59] my scores. [1:19:04] [Laughter] We will be fine we are so good I'm taking the fall. [1:19:32] [Crosstalk] [1:19:33] >>. [1:19:33] For two notes you gave him a 14 or above, [1:19:33] you would not need to. . [1:19:33] >> That's true. [1:19:33] >> Okay. [1:19:33] We have accomplished magical things. [1:19:33] >> I'm just going to do 14. [1:19:33] It's going to work itself out. [1:19:33] My lowest score was a 14. [1:19:33] I think I did a 12 on somebody. [1:19:33] Did a 13 on somebody. [1:19:33] I was like -- [1:19:33] I can't vote that low. [1:19:34] It just hurts my heart. [1:19:58] [Laughter] People put such effort into that. [1:20:00] I am an artist. [1:20:00] Have a heart for them. [1:20:00] No. [1:20:00] I can't give you a three. [1:20:00] I just can't do it. [1:20:00] If you're a singer -- would be like, oh no. [1:20:00] >> I said come I did that for almost everybody. [1:20:00] >> Miss Bailey. [1:20:00] >> Yes? [1:20:00] >> Do we still have more things on the agenda? [1:20:00] >> That's what I said. [1:20:01] Thank you thank you. [1:20:02] >> Six. [1:20:29] [Crosstalk] [1:20:33] >> Other business. [1:20:34] >> Our total that we have is $8,381.93. [1:20:34] As of this morning. [1:20:34] With the last two applications that we are awarded -- [1:20:34] one has already been written as a check and delivered the other [1:20:34] one, we are waiting on the building owner to give [1:20:34] permission for the mural. [1:20:34] We will be getting that hopefully soon. [1:20:36] We will only have $800 left. [1:20:37] That was the whole purpose behind splitting that approval [1:20:42] for our film Derby. [1:21:09] >> Just out of curiosity -- did we know when we approved [1:21:12] the grant, the building owner had not given approval? [1:21:12] >> It was acknowledged that there was a verbal agreement [1:21:12] the board agreed, we need to have a written. [1:21:12] >> Okay. [1:21:12] I just needed a refresher. [1:21:34] >> Public comments. [1:21:35] The agenda. [1:21:35] Hello. [1:21:35] Any comments? [1:21:35] >> Anybody home? [1:21:35] >> Anybody home? [1:21:35] Informational items. [1:21:35] Staff comments? [1:21:35] >> Thank you for all your work. [1:21:35] I know that was a lot. [1:21:35] Thank you for keeping us straight, Jamie. [1:21:35] Board comments?
