[10:16] Could you please sign up if you'd like [10:17] to speak at the public hearings? And [10:19] there's also the uh regular signup sheet [10:21] for public comment later on in the [10:23] meeting. [10:25] Okay. [10:27] All right. Um do we have a consideration [10:29] do I have a motion for consideration of [10:31] the approval of the meeting minutes from [10:33] July 27th? [10:34] >> So moved. [10:35] >> Uh second. [10:37] >> Second. [10:38] >> Uh any additions or corrections? [10:41] >> Did you get everything, Debbie? [10:44] >> Okay. She got that to you. Okay. All [10:46] right. All in favor of accepting the [10:48] minutes? I [10:49] >> I [10:49] >> opposed. [10:51] >> Okay. Thank you. All right. [10:53] We have um we have a couple [10:56] uh several public hearings on on [10:57] schedule. We're going to do the first [10:58] one is a joint public hearing with the [11:00] uh planning commission. Um [11:04] I'm going to call uh Wes, you want to [11:06] give us a little background on this [11:07] first before I open a public hearing? [11:09] >> So, this is a joint public hearing for a [11:12] special use permit for 19 North Street. [11:15] The the applicant Jeffrey Barrett is [11:17] requesting a special use permit to [11:19] operate a homeate at his residence at 19 [11:22] North Street with a maximum of two [11:24] overnight guests. The property is zone [11:26] R1 single family residential and the [11:28] applicant will continue to live at the [11:30] property while operating the homestead. [11:33] staff have reviewed the request against [11:36] the town code and standards and and and [11:39] recommend approval. [11:44] » Okay. Uh I'd like to like to open the uh [11:47] the Hancock Town Council public hearing [11:49] on this and Casey, you want to open [11:51] yours? [11:53] >> Excuse me. I'm opening the planning [11:55] commission's joint hearing. [11:58] >> Debbie, do you have anybody sign up? No [12:00] one signed up to speak. Okay. All right. [12:07] » Oh, yeah. Yeah. Good. [12:10] >> Really grateful for it. [12:11] >> Okay. Okay. I'm going to close town [12:14] council public hearing. I'm going to [12:16] close your public hearing. [12:18] >> Sure. [12:20] >> Okay. [12:20] >> Close the public hearing first. [12:24] » Planning commission. [12:26] >> Okay. And we need a recommendation from [12:27] you guys if you want to talk it over. [12:32] recommend approval of special needs [12:34] permit for Jeffrey Bar to operate a [12:36] homeay at 19 North Street with two [12:38] onsite parking spaces and a maximum [12:41] occupancy of two overnight guests and [12:44] for 36 month period. [12:47] >> Okay. [12:49] >> Second. [12:51] >> Okay. All in favor? [12:53] >> I Oh, I'm sorry. Okay, good. [laughter] [12:56] I thought they were yours. Yeah. No, no, She said I I was thinking [13:01] I was saying why is a council member [13:02] voting on that? Uh yeah. Okay. Uh Wes, [13:06] do we want to council vote on this now? [13:08] It's not there's not I didn't see it as [13:09] an action item. Okay. All right. Okay. [13:12] All right. Is there somebody want [13:13] to read the recommend recommended [13:15] motion? [13:22] » Mr. Mayor, I move to approve the special [13:24] use permit for Jeffrey Barrett to [13:26] operate a home stay at 19 North Street [13:28] with a maximum occupancy of two [13:31] overnight guests. Second, [13:33] >> any discussion on this? [13:34] >> Yes. I just want to absolutely put [13:37] clarify that this is the brick house and [13:38] not the out parcel. [13:41] >> It's not a correct. [13:42] >> Okay. Right. It's it's his house and not [13:44] the doctor's office. Right. [13:45] >> I didn't think his house was brick. [13:46] >> Is it Isn't it brick? Oh, maybe it's [13:48] not. [13:51] the house house and notice house. [13:53] >> No, that's right. [13:54] >> Okay. All right. Just want to make sure [13:55] that that clear [13:57] >> and do we want to put in there runs it's [13:59] what did you say 36 months? [14:02] >> That's how that's what [14:04] >> that's the ordinance is already in the [14:06] ordinance so we don't have to Okay. All [14:07] right. Okay. Any more discussion? All in [14:10] favor? I [14:11] >> opposed. I think it's carried [14:13] unanimously. [14:15] Okay. Thank you, planning commission. I [14:17] guess you can journ your meetings. [14:21] Yes, please do. [14:25] » Thank you. Thanks. Thank you so much. [14:27] Appreciate [14:34] » I'm grateful [14:38] » Mr. S wants to speak to the farmer's [14:40] market and everybody else's regular [14:43] comments at the end. Thanks. [14:45] >> Oh, okay. All right. Okay. [14:53] moving on to the uh next uh public [14:55] hearing is the uh Nancock uh winter [14:58] farmers market budget amendment. Uh Wes, [15:00] you want to give us some background on [15:02] that? [15:04] >> So the the first of amendment adds the [15:06] revenues and expenditures for the [15:08] revised onamp winter farmers market [15:11] improvement project to the fiscal year [15:13] 2026 2027 budget. The revised project [15:17] will will improve the indoor space at 20 [15:20] Market Street to house the market. The [15:23] amendment is needed so the grant [15:25] matching funds and and related project [15:29] um expenses are properly reflected in [15:32] the current fiscal year budget. So uh no [15:35] new general fund funding is being [15:39] requested at this time. [15:40] >> Okay. Uh I'm going to open the public [15:43] hearing on this. Uh, [15:46] and uh, Mark Sinclair, I think you're [15:48] the only person that signed up to speak [15:49] on this. [15:56] » Good evening, Mark Sinclair, Greenway [15:58] Circle. I want to start off by saying I [16:00] am an ardent supporter of the farmers [16:02] market. I support everything that they [16:04] do and if you asked me to vote on this [16:06] issue tonight, I would vote in support [16:08] of this issue. I do have a couple of [16:10] concerns. Uh, if I'm not mistaken, this [16:14] project has morphed from a prefab Dutch [16:17] barn that was supposed to go in the [16:18] Queen Street parking lot into investing [16:21] into a private uh uh piece of property, [16:24] which I think is a significant change. [16:26] And I I I don't think it has been [16:28] publicized enough that this is now an [16:31] investment in a private property. Once [16:33] again, I would vote for it. I would [16:35] agree with it. I just think some of the [16:37] town members need more knowledge about [16:39] it. I would also say that I I would like [16:42] to see if if we're going to invest in [16:43] the building, whatever current lease [16:45] they have, I'd like to see it extended a [16:47] little bit just to, you know, make up [16:49] for the investment we're putting in the [16:50] building. Other than that, vote for it. [16:52] Let's let's support the farmers market. [16:56] >> Thank you. Any other comments? [17:00] » Okay, go ahead. [17:11] Uh, Priscilla Hart, Market Street. Um, [17:15] boy, there's a lot of noise going on [17:16] over there and there's a lot of work [17:18] going on. Um, I too support the winter [17:21] market. Uh, I also understand that the [17:25] grant funds will be Thank you. [17:29] [laughter] Should I start again? Uh, [17:31] okay. I support the winter market. I [17:33] understand the grant funds are going to [17:35] be um utilized for changes to um the [17:41] Fossky's 20 Market Street. And my [17:46] question is, what do we do now with the [17:49] um Queen Street parking lot? There was a [17:52] I think it was a 20-year lease or $20 [17:54] lease or something like that. And do we [17:59] make that lease go away? [18:02] that might be something we should [18:03] consider because the farmers market's [18:05] not going to use that anymore. Why tie [18:08] that up? So, I wish the winter market [18:10] good luck. Thanks. [18:12] >> Okay. Thank you. Any other comments? [18:15] Okay. I'm going to close this public [18:17] hearing. Uh I I think that lease is is [18:20] null and void. Am I Yeah. for the for [18:23] the Queen Street, right? [18:26] >> Not sure. But but uh since the market's [18:29] no longer going to be there, I would [18:30] assume so. [18:30] >> Right. Yeah. Right. Was it ever [18:32] executed? [18:33] >> I think it was. Yes. Did we have [18:35] >> Yes, it was. So, I guess we do need to [18:37] >> We're going to do some paperwork. [18:38] >> Yeah, we do some paperwork on that. [18:39] Yeah. Yeah. Um I I I uh Well, yeah. [18:42] Excuse me. One comment. I need to make [18:45] Excuse myself. We're not going to vote [18:47] on this anyway down. It's going to be a [18:48] tie, but I'm I have an interest in this, [18:49] so I'm I'm not going to comment on this [18:51] or have anything to do with the vote. [18:53] Okay. Uh do we have a representative [18:54] from the farmers market? [19:01] Yeah. [19:04] >> Okay. Right. Okay. And and VDAX approved [19:07] the this whole process correctly. We we [19:10] the town has really nothing to do with [19:11] the plan. They approved the the new new design and everything. Yeah. [19:15] >> Yeah. between VDAX approving the fact [19:16] that it's going into private property [19:18] and the the Odancock Farmers Market [19:20] board has also sat down with the [19:22] property owners at length to discuss [19:24] what our lease looks like with them for [19:26] the future so that the space is being [19:28] utilized as we are intending it to be [19:30] utilized with the grant funds. [19:33] >> Any other comments? [19:35] Do we have a motion here? [19:38] I move that town council amend the [19:40] fiscal year 2026 2027 budget and [19:43] appropriate 50,4001 [19:46] one [19:48] $50,41516 [19:51] to to corresponding grant matching and [19:53] project revenues and expenditures for [19:55] the Onancock Farmers Market Improvement [19:57] Project. [19:58] >> Uh second [19:59] >> second. [20:00] >> Uh all in favor [20:02] >> I asked for I didn't ask for any comment [20:04] or you're all said okay or I voted. [20:06] Okay. Thank you. All right. Uh All [20:09] right. The next uh public hearing is the [20:11] Northeast Revitalization Project. Uh [20:13] Wes, you want to give us a little update [20:15] on that? [20:16] >> Sure. So, the second of amendment [20:18] recognizes the remaining grant funding [20:20] for the Northeast Revitalization Project [20:23] and provides the corresponding [20:25] expenditure appropriation to complete [20:28] the unfinished work. The project has [20:31] been expected to close, but uh grant [20:34] records show funds remain available and work still needs to be completed. [20:39] So, no additional local funding is [20:41] proposed with this amendment. [20:43] >> Okay. Um I open this public hearing uh [20:46] for the Northeast Project. Any comments [20:49] on this? [20:51] Okay. Okay. Casey, [20:57] » review the work that's going to be done. [20:59] So that's just on the record for and [21:01] everybody can listen in. [21:03] >> Sure. So So the remaining work to be [21:07] done is is um installing a sidewalk on [21:11] street and then some ditch and drainage [21:14] work in the neighborhood. And then we [21:16] are also looking to um demo I believe [21:20] one or two the the two more homes. [21:24] >> Oh, great. Great. [21:25] >> Yeah. [21:25] >> Okay. Thank you. All right. Uh [21:29] any other comments? Okay. I'll close the [21:32] public hearing on this. All right. Um [21:34] council, does somebody have a motion? [21:37] >> Sure. I move that town council amend the [21:39] fiscal year 2026 2027 budget and [21:42] appropriate $349,23623 [21:46] in corresponding grant revenues and [21:48] expenditures for the Northeast [21:49] Revitalization Project. [21:52] Do we have a second? Uh discussion [21:54] [snorts] question. Um Wes, I was just [21:57] curious, is this a reimbursement [21:59] situation? We have to put up the money, [22:01] pay the bills, and then file for [22:03] reimbursement. [22:05] >> Um [22:07] yes. [22:10] >> Okay. [22:10] >> Is there I'm sorry. Is there [22:12] >> Oh, sure. [22:12] >> any delay in getting that reimbursement? [22:15] >> Yeah, I've been signing checks for that [22:16] project. [22:17] >> Wait. Okay. [22:18] >> It's pretty quick. only reason I was [22:20] asking because DH DHCD also houses Main [22:23] Street and that's an upfront grant. So [22:25] that's why I was like are you [22:27] >> Yeah. All right. Any other discussion on [22:29] this? [22:30] >> Thank you. [22:31] >> All in favor? [22:32] >> I opposed. [22:35] Um let the record show that Sarah Knock [22:37] is now join the meeting [22:39] >> and she votes I think. [22:43] >> Not bad. All righty. Uh [22:47] >> I apologize for being late. I had [22:49] doctor's appointments across the bay and [22:51] just got back. [22:53] >> All right. We have no public [22:54] presentations. Uh no council discussion. [22:57] Uh council action. Uh resolution to [23:00] require pump station number uh could you [23:02] Wes? You want to give us this one? [23:06] So uh th this resolution is the next [23:09] proper step in the town's transfer of [23:11] its wastewater system to the Hampton [23:13] Road sanitation district. It authorizes [23:16] the town to convey the town home station [23:21] for property and and the improvements to [23:25] HRSD. So the required public hearing on disposal of the property has already [23:31] been held. So tonight's action is to [23:34] authorize the ample conveyance of it. [23:36] >> Uh this is the South Street pump station [23:39] u on the south kind of on the creek on [23:40] the central branch. It's it's we we've always owned it. Uh it's it's a [23:44] little brick building back there and if [23:45] you've seen it when you go across the A [23:47] Street Bridge. All right. Do we have a [23:49] motion [23:52] » us to read the resolution? [23:53] >> No, just say it. Accept it, please. Just [23:57] >> Okay. Um, I'd like to make a motion that [23:59] town council approve resolution 2026-05, [24:03] a resolution to authorize the disposal [24:05] of real property and improvements owned [24:07] by the town of Anancock at parcel [24:09] 085A10000004700. [24:14] Um, the town of Ankcock's pump station [24:16] lot located off South Street in Anco, [24:18] Virginia, Akamat County by conveyance to [24:20] the Hampton Road sanitation district. [24:22] >> Uh, second. [24:24] >> Second [24:25] >> discussion. [24:26] >> Yes. I have a question. [24:29] In the resolution in the the second [24:32] whereas it says that HRSD is willing to [24:35] accept the property for the town subject [24:37] to certain terms. What's that mean? [24:45] » Um that is the question. I'm I'm not [24:48] sure what those certain terms are. I [24:51] believe that that those would be the [24:53] terms laid out in the omnibus [24:58] >> which is could you explain that? [25:00] >> Yeah. Um so I would need to uh talk with [25:04] the um with council of HRSD to [25:09] understand what those terms are [25:10] specifically. So I'm not aware what [25:14] those are at this time. [25:16] >> We have the with us somewhere, don't we? [25:20] >> Well, we've already agreed agreed to it. [25:22] Yeah, [25:23] >> we already approved it. [25:24] >> We've already approved it. Yeah. Yeah. [25:26] >> Scary, isn't it? [25:26] >> Yeah. Yeah. Um, okay. Are we any other [25:29] discussion on this? Uh, all in favor? [25:32] >> I [25:33] >> actually, we need a roll call. Go over [25:34] disposing of property here. Let's have a [25:37] roll call. It has to be I think it's got [25:39] to be four fist, doesn't it? Yeah. Yeah. [25:41] Three. [25:42] >> Imber. [25:47] Hi, [25:48] >> Council Member Knox. [25:49] >> Hi, Council [25:51] >> Member Pettit. [25:52] >> I council member. [25:54] >> Hi. [25:55] >> Oh, thank you. All right. [25:58] Okay. Planning Commission report. Cindy. [26:01] >> Uh, the planning commission continues to [26:03] work on the comprehensive plan. We're [26:05] drafting our sections and working on [26:07] them. Um, and really that's what we [26:09] spend our entire meeting talking about. [26:11] So, it's a not a brief meeting, but a [26:15] brief report for me. We expect to have a [26:17] draft ready in December. [26:22] » Any questions? [26:24] >> Next meeting. Just could you just let [26:26] people know again where you meet? [26:29] >> There you go. And we did meet twice in [26:31] August. I don't have the dates with me, [26:33] but we had a work session in addition to [26:35] our regular meeting. [26:38] All right. [26:39] Okay. the uh community reports uh [26:42] economic development authority an [26:46] >> hey uh the authority had a productive [26:49] meeting last week on the [26:52] 18th and uh we're continuing to work [26:56] toward our goals for the for the rest of [26:58] this year. I talked about that a little [26:59] bit last month. We're exploring options [27:02] for additional revenue streams. We'd [27:04] like to find more money that we would be [27:06] able to reinvest in the town. Uh we're [27:08] looking at other economic development [27:11] authorities and related organizations to [27:14] identify best practices and model [27:15] projects. We'd like to find similarly [27:18] situated small towns, see where they [27:20] have had success and and what we can [27:22] learn from them. Uh we're working on the [27:25] parameters for the revolving loan fund [27:27] program. I think everybody pretty much [27:29] knows what that is, but we got a grant [27:33] to develop we loaned money to develop [27:35] the Little Building. As those payments [27:37] are remade are made each month, those [27:40] funds will go into a revolving loan fund [27:43] that we will then reinvest in the town. [27:46] So, we're sort of waiting to accumulate [27:49] a sufficient amount of money to be able [27:51] to invest it reinvest it in an impactful [27:53] way. So, we're working on the parameters [27:55] of what what that will look like. Um, we [27:58] also voted to change our meeting time to [28:01] 5:30 p.m. and I think everything's been [28:04] updated. So our meetings now will be the [28:06] third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 [28:10] uh to 7. Uh we also last week hosted [28:14] freedom of information freedom of [28:16] information act training for local [28:19] officials uh in this room. Last week uh [28:23] by Virginia statute people local [28:25] officials on certain public bodies [28:28] including the council and and the EDA [28:31] are required to take this training [28:32] periodically. And so uh so we held it [28:36] here. We had uh guests from Parksley and [28:40] Eastville. I think almost the entire [28:43] government of both those towns and a few [28:46] other people came and the train training [28:47] was conducted by the executive director [28:50] and deputy director of the Virginia [28:53] Municipal League. [28:55] And our next meeting is September 15th [28:57] in this room at 5:30. [29:00] >> Uh any questions from council for? [29:03] Okay, thank you very much and thank you [29:05] for doing the uh Hoya training. That was [29:08] those were good. Yeah, [29:09] >> you never think people would be so [29:11] excited about it. [29:11] >> I know. It's always it's always an [29:13] interesting subject. It's kind of [29:14] fascinating. All right. Historic and [29:16] Hancock school. Sarah, [29:19] >> thank you. The school was honored to [29:22] partner with the Samuel Outlaw [29:24] Blacksmith Shop and Memorial Museum this [29:26] past Saturday. there was to be a 5K race [29:31] as the kickoff to that and the weather [29:34] took care of that one. So, that's [29:36] something we'll try for again in the [29:38] future. But, it was still nice to be [29:40] able to [29:42] help um publicize it and to work [29:45] together with a fellow Nancock nonprofit [29:48] also in a townowned building. Um, next [29:53] event coming up is the Deloreans who [29:57] will be playing at the pavilion on [29:59] Friday from 6:00 to 9:00. The concerts [30:03] is free. Donations are welcome and there [30:05] will be two food trucks um or go to the [30:09] restaurants in person before the show. [30:12] The next night, Saturday the 29th, with [30:15] a rain date of the Saturday after the um [30:20] annual movie under the stars will happen [30:23] at the pavilion. It will be the sand lot [30:26] and popcorn. [30:28] And the start time is a little bit [30:32] uncertain. It depends on when it gets [30:35] dark enough to start projecting a movie [30:38] onto the screen, but we are aiming for [30:40] somewhere around 7:30 is the start time [30:43] of the movie. Um, the biggest news, fire [30:46] restoration work is still ongoing. The [30:48] upper level is almost complete and some [30:52] of the tenants have be been able to [30:54] begin moving belongings back in, but [30:57] it's not open for the public. the none [31:02] of the building as I understand it now [31:04] will be open to the public until the [31:07] whole building is open to the public. So [31:09] it's just a matter of getting people [31:13] >> who have had to make provisional [31:16] arrangements to store their materials [31:19] be able to go back into their [31:23] >> Oh, [31:24] >> we might be able to open first. Yeah. [31:26] >> Okay. [31:26] >> We don't know. [31:27] So, [31:28] >> we might be able to open [31:29] >> what I have here from the executive [31:32] director. [31:32] >> Yeah. Well, [31:33] >> says that, but [31:35] >> that's up to the building code. [31:36] >> It's Yeah, [31:37] >> it's a work in progress still and [31:40] happily there is progress. [31:43] >> Great. All right. Any other comments for [31:44] about the school? Okay. [31:48] >> All right. Lancock Main Street. [31:51] >> Okay. um through our VTC grant that we [31:54] just got um from the state, we were able [31:56] to bring in um an influencer named [31:58] Hunter Holbert. Um he's a content [32:00] creator and travel journalist. Uh he was [32:03] hired through our grant and um we are [32:05] part of his new series called Places to [32:08] Find Peace. Uh he filmed July 23rd [32:11] through the 25th and shared content [32:12] across Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and [32:14] YouTube. uh with over 216,000 Instagram [32:18] followers, one post has already reached [32:20] 79,000 views. So, three of them were [32:23] done in coordination with Main Street. I [32:25] know he's done another one that I have [32:26] also seen, but that was not done in [32:28] coordination with us, which was a little [32:30] bit more loose in some of the way that [32:32] he spoke, but but it was still a fun [32:35] little piece, I thought. So, hopefully [32:37] you guys have had a chance to see it. [32:39] Um, we've also been in the media [32:41] recently. Um, we've pitched uh media uh [32:43] stories and secured two TV spots, one [32:46] with WTKR and one with WBOC. The links [32:50] are available on our Facebook page. And [32:52] actually, town council will be sending [32:53] out an email tomorrow with all that [32:55] information, so you can just click the [32:56] links and whatnot and and check it all [32:58] out from there. Um, open for business, [33:01] which is one of our initiatives that [33:02] we've started, um, continues to gain [33:05] momentum with over 3,000 views on our [33:07] commercial property and yonanccock pages [33:09] atexperience onanccock.com. [33:12] Um, and this campaign just started. We [33:14] just started advertising for it. Um, [33:17] with more coming out as we go. Um, the [33:20] site helps prospect prospective business [33:22] owners find available properties and [33:24] resources for starting a business in [33:25] Onanco. Um, we are also happy to [33:29] announce that we have been working on [33:31] coordinating a restaurant week in [33:32] Onanco, which will be Onanco focused [33:35] restaurants, which will be October 9th [33:37] through the 17th. Advertising begins [33:40] September uh with a link to our web page [33:42] featuring participating restaurants and [33:44] their special fixedpric lunch and dinner [33:47] menus. Uh we hope to have the event we [33:50] hope the event also encourages visitors [33:52] to stop to shop, see a show, and spend [33:55] some time in Ankco. Uh we're very [33:57] excited about restaurant week rink. The [33:58] business the restaurants have been [34:00] jumping for joy. Um right now we have a [34:02] confirmed six, but we could have up to [34:04] nine. So be on the lookout for that. [34:06] Thank you guys. [34:09] >> Any questions for Lisa? Okay. All right. [34:12] Thank you. Uh OBCA report John. Yeah, [34:15] there you are. [34:21] » Hey everybody. [34:23] John Viggy uh OBCA report. Your Nancock [34:26] Business and Civic Association, OBCA, is [34:29] ready for the fall season of activities. [34:32] We're going to have a pumpkin carving at [34:33] the town square and the third annual [34:35] Halloween parade the weekend of October [34:37] 24th. Of course, we'll have our [34:39] multi-event holiday season, which we're [34:41] already planning for, of course, which [34:43] includes the Christmas tree lighting on [34:44] the lawn at Car Place, Christmas homes [34:46] tour, the Santa's arrival by boat [34:48] accompanied by the elves and reindeer on [34:50] their kayaks, and of course, the [34:52] Christmas parade. Uh we fund most of our [34:55] we fund all these events, most of which [34:57] are free to uh to the public, not all, [35:00] but most with paid memberships and [35:02] sponsorships. And we're on our [35:04] membership drive now. So for just $60, [35:06] you too can help fund OBCA and help us [35:09] with all of the events that we provide [35:11] for you and your families and your [35:13] visitors. So we thank you for that. We [35:16] uh we enjoy our partnerships. We're looking for fun and lively [35:19] partnerships with the town and with our [35:21] various community organizations which [35:22] we're already doing like with MS [35:24] historic and Hancock school shore [35:26] history and others such as the [35:27] blacksmith shop. So again you can buy [35:30] membership online with a credit card or [35:32] check just go to ankcock.org and click [35:34] on the join now and you can pay with a [35:35] credit card. Uh so and with using Zephy [35:39] which is a great little online tool that [35:41] you recommended to us and we appreciate [35:42] it. Thank you all. Any questions? [35:46] >> Thank you. Thanks. [35:49] >> Oh, [35:50] >> yes. [35:50] >> It's not so much a question, but a but a [35:53] comment. And we can certainly talk about [35:55] this at OBCA, but I think I think as we [35:59] continue to um strengthen and evolve our [36:04] relationships between with [36:06] organizations, especially on the parades [36:09] and things like that. I think it's [36:10] important that we have clarity. Like I [36:13] know last year or in the spring for the [36:16] St. Patrick's Day parade, the town was [36:19] kind of a co-sponsor, but we didn't it [36:22] wasn't really branded as a co-event. And [36:24] it's not it's not about getting credit. [36:26] I'm not concerned about that, but I [36:28] think it's important for purposes of [36:30] safety, insurance, things like that. We [36:33] really need to know who's doing what and [36:36] where the responsibilities lie in the [36:38] event something were to go a miss or [36:41] what have you. Those kinds of things. [36:42] >> Agreed. And in fact, Wes and I have met [36:44] well, we've met once. We've talked a [36:45] couple of times. We'll keep meeting to [36:47] make sure that we're on board with the [36:48] town. Um it's really important to me to manage and um all these uh all these [36:54] partnerships to the best we can. [36:56] Everybody I'm talking to is excited [36:58] about it, but we also we always have to [36:59] be safe. We always have to be aware of [37:02] uh of what's in the best interest of the [37:03] public and our citizens and our visitors [37:06] and our businesses. So, thank you for [37:09] that. There is so I'm the new president [37:11] of the organization and the folks that [37:13] have been doing a lot of the work for [37:15] the last several years including the [37:16] Burnhams Kafk [37:19] uh don't live here in the in the winter [37:21] necessarily. So, there is so much [37:23] administrative work that I'm just trying [37:24] to get my uh my my head around. Uh and [37:27] we don't have a paid employee of course. [37:29] So, we're going to get there and I'm I'm [37:31] enjoying the job and thanks for your [37:33] support. [37:34] >> See y'all later. [37:34] >> Thank you very much, John. [37:36] >> One other comment on the Christmas [37:37] events. One that there there are a lot [37:41] that John mentioned. There's also the [37:43] Cooxberry Christmas Music Festival on [37:45] the Saturday afternoon [37:48] >> 2 to 4. Okay. Thank you. [37:52] >> All right. Uh it's now time for public [37:55] comment. Uh Mr. Deainy, I think you're [37:57] number one. [38:15] Good afternoon. Joe Deainy, Six Queen. [38:18] Um very briefly, uh there is a deadline [38:22] coming up for applications for storm [38:25] water grants that is October 1. So if [38:30] Oncock is interested in making an [38:32] application, [38:34] there's over $43 million in that fund. [38:37] Uh that may help in the longer term [38:40] project. Um, it covers quite a bit of [38:43] activity related to storm water [38:45] management and emphasizes the use of [38:48] best management practices. So, it's all [38:51] in the note. I don't have much more to [38:52] say than that. Okay. Thank you, mayor. [38:55] >> Thank you. [38:55] Yeah, I I got a notice about [38:57] that. I did forward it to Wes a couple [38:59] weeks ago. Yeah. Or I mean month several [39:00] months ago, actually. Yeah. Yeah. All [39:03] right. Uh, uh, Bark, are you want to [39:06] come up? Yeah, you're up again. [39:16] Good evening again. Mark Sinclair, [39:18] Greenway Circle, still just outside of [39:21] town. [39:23] While driving down Market Street, I [39:25] noticed a historic cemetery sign [39:27] opposite Coke's Berry Church was gone. I [39:30] remember a while ago because somebody [39:31] put up a close sign on it. Didn't know [39:33] how you can close a cemetery, but okay. [39:35] But now the sign is gone and I'm hoping [39:38] that somebody will look into it and [39:39] bring that sign back. I think it's an [39:41] important marker in this town. Also, [39:44] while driving down Market Street, I saw [39:47] a loose gravel sign. I had to laugh. [39:50] Johnny Mo has been complaining about [39:51] that issue down there for years. So, I [39:54] found it very ironic when all of a [39:56] sudden a gravel sign went up down there. [39:59] Also, while driving down Market Street, [40:01] I admired the work of the public works [40:03] department painting the curbs. I look [40:05] forward to seeing that project completed [40:07] when time and weather allow. [40:11] [snorts] [40:12] I was driving down Market Street and [40:13] looked at the farmers market, but I've [40:14] already talked to you about that one. [40:16] So, let's pass that one by and let's go [40:18] on to the planning commission meeting. I [40:20] know you'll be surprised to hear that I [40:22] watched the last planning commission [40:23] meeting. Councelor Holddron raised a [40:26] number of valid concerns. After some [40:29] discussion, Commissioner Greer said the [40:31] town council should decide. I would say [40:34] she heard pretty clearly from a [40:35] respected member of this council that [40:37] she had concerns with the commission's [40:39] directions. She had voiced those [40:42] concerns before. [40:44] At the last town council meeting, [40:45] Commissioner Greer gave a very broad [40:47] overview with very little detail. In [40:51] fact, she asked for another meeting just [40:53] so she could fill in some of those [40:55] details. [40:57] The planning commission is comprised of [40:59] a group of very busy, very dedicated, [41:01] hard-working people. If the plan that's [41:04] going to take over a year of their work [41:07] is flawed and could summarily be [41:09] rejected by this council, shouldn't each [41:12] of you be more informed as to the [41:15] direction of the planning commission and [41:17] the work they're doing at the present [41:18] time? This will be the third [41:21] comprehensive plan for this little town. [41:24] Each plan has been significantly [41:26] different from the previous one. Aren't [41:28] these supposed to be longterm [41:31] comprehensive plans? [41:34] The planning commission is currently [41:36] sitting on two major issues as they [41:38] develop the new comprehensive plan, [41:41] zoning for developers and water [41:43] regulations. I believe those two issues [41:46] are far more important than a complete [41:48] rewrite of the comprehensive plan. Thank [41:51] you for your time. [41:53] Thank you. [41:54] >> One more comment and it has to do with [41:56] what Jay was saying uh in regards to [41:58] runoff. I am just stunned at what I've [42:02] seen by the storm that we had this [42:03] weekend. If you look at the runoff and [42:05] the silting that occurred all over this [42:08] town, I worry about our harbor and I [42:11] just want to reemphasize that we did [42:13] talk about dredging, you know, down by [42:15] the docks and I'd like to reemphasize [42:17] that point after we've had a lot of [42:18] runoff this weekend. Thank you. [42:23] Uh, Priscilla. [42:37] Good evening again, Priscilla Hart, U [42:40] Market Street. [42:42] Um, first thing I want to say is the [42:46] Wararf area is looking great. It really [42:49] is. It's looking great and [42:52] congratulations for selling ice. I think [42:54] that's a great idea. Um, and also the [42:58] benches look very nice. So, it's a real [43:01] improvement. Um, my next question is a [43:05] quick one. Um, and this is directed at [43:08] the school. Uh, do we have a certificate [43:11] of occupancy? [43:14] >> No. [43:14] >> Can't move in without one. [43:15] >> No. [43:16] >> Okay. Thank you. And the third thing I [43:19] wanted to talk about, I sent everyone a [43:22] email today, not everyone, the town [43:24] council in Wes an email today about our [43:28] town park that used to be a showplace. [43:34] It was gorgeous. This was our town [43:38] square with the gazebo, the flowers two [43:41] years ago. [43:46] More recently, this morning, I took some [43:49] pictures. I don't have them here, but [43:52] that town park is an eyesore. [43:56] It looks really bad. [43:58] Um, the grass looks terrible. There are [44:02] no plants around the gazebo. [44:05] I know that we spent some money on um an [44:10] irrigation system. I don't know if it [44:11] works. Does it work? [44:13] >> Yes. [44:13] >> Okay. Um, that's nice. [44:17] But in two years, [44:20] we couldn't improve the way this place [44:22] looks. [44:24] I really would love to see us focus on [44:27] making this park as beautiful as it used [44:30] to be. Fall is probably a good time to [44:33] put some plants in. It would be really [44:36] nice. It was an absolute showplace. And [44:39] there's really nothing wrong with the [44:40] benches that are there. I mean, they're [44:42] okay. their wood benches. We need some [44:45] plants around this place. Thank you. [44:48] >> Thank you, [44:51] Jay. Miller, [45:05] » Jay Miller, 79 Market Street. I need [45:08] some glasses here. [45:12] So, I'm sitting here listening to the U [45:16] town council meeting, and here's what I [45:18] expected to hear. I expected to hear an [45:22] emergency motion from the town council [45:24] to our town manager saying, "Do whatever [45:28] is poss um make all possible uh uh [45:31] efforts to do something about uh uh [45:35] starting a project to do something about [45:37] the flooding in town. Now, it's already [45:40] been mentioned. The fact that we're [45:41] sitting here and that's all that's been [45:43] mentioned. The fact that the mayor said [45:45] that there's rants money available for [45:48] this kind of thing months ago. [45:51] All our priorities, I think, are skewed. [45:54] They're skewed here. And the the town [45:57] owns a a a easement on my property. It [46:01] uh goes under my driveway and it's a a [46:04] large pipe that goes into the uh storm [46:07] system that VOTE has. Behind that is a [46:10] multiple drainage ditches that go all [46:13] the way back past the rescue house on [46:16] Lee Street all and to Carr Street and [46:19] probably beyond. And when it rains, [46:22] there's a torrent of water that comes [46:23] down that those ditches and it [46:26] overwhelms it doesn't take much. it [46:28] overwhelms that pipe that's in my [46:30] driveway and then every property behind [46:33] there starts when it backs up it starts [46:36] flooding. Now, this has been going on [46:39] for 25 years and and I believe the town [46:42] owes it to us instead of um in instead [46:46] of priorities that I would think are not [46:50] that that that uh that expansive [46:54] and I think I think they the u the town [46:56] owes it to us in order to do that. If [46:58] there's money available, if if if [47:00] there's no money available now, then I [47:03] think that whatever shenanigans you can [47:05] play, whatever details that you can do [47:07] to try to move money around and [47:12] in order to try to start paying for an [47:14] emer some sort of engineering study and [47:17] you can't leave it to board rag camp [47:19] temple, you can't be the lone wolf on [47:22] the planning commission trying to do all [47:23] this himself. Now, I I understand that [47:26] you you want to beautify the town. [47:27] You're spending the money on that. [47:29] You're getting you're getting [47:31] butterflies in the windows and you're [47:33] getting uh farmers market money spent. [47:36] And we're trying to lure uh uh you're [47:38] trying to lure tourists to an egg to [47:41] spend the money. And that's that's fine. [47:44] You can you can do that, but you're not [47:46] going to get too many tourists coming to [47:49] town if the town is underwater. [47:54] >> Thank you. Any other public comment? [47:57] Okay. Thank you. [47:59] All right. Uh, [48:02] mayor's report. Uh, got one announcement [48:05] here. We have we're having a blood drive [48:07] on September can't read that. September [48:11] 22nd. That's still a ways off, but u [48:13] 10:00 to 3 p.m. here. Anybody wants to [48:16] give blood uh please come. [48:20] Okay. Uh re uh an announcement. The VML [48:25] meeting is coming up in October. Uh I [48:28] think three of us are going to go to [48:29] that meeting in Norfol. Uh just wanted [48:31] to announce that uh anytime three of us [48:34] are going to go to a meeting that there [48:35] will be BML there will be at a BML [48:38] meeting. I'll probably put that on a [48:39] website to announce that for foyer [48:41] regulations that uh that three of us [48:43] will be at that meeting which is [48:44] considered more than than two. So I'll [48:47] announce it again. Uh uh I attended the [48:50] Sam I don't know if some of us attended [48:52] the Samuel Outlaw uh lunchbox thing that [48:55] was really great. I don't know if you if [48:56] you guys all went. It was quite a the [48:59] dancers and the music was incredible. Uh [49:01] it turned out to be a really gorgeous [49:02] day up there. They had a blacksmith [49:04] doing demonstrations. Uh it was just a [49:07] wonderful turnout. I appre anybody that [49:09] came. [49:11] All right. Um [49:14] uh I Priscilla was talking about the [49:16] town square. I think we do have a plan [49:19] to, you know, uh, phase two. The first [49:21] phase of that plan was to install the [49:23] lights, irrigation, which meant digging [49:26] up quite a bit of the park. Uh, and [49:28] that's basically just completed in the [49:30] spring. Uh, the fall is a good time to [49:32] plant. Uh, I wanted we do have a plan. [49:35] Uh, we probably can't implement all of [49:37] it. I think part of it included making a [49:38] gazebo type structure in the front of [49:40] it, but I certainly think we can do some [49:42] kind of planting. So, we need to get [49:44] back with the PL the tree board and and [49:47] implement that plan at least get some [49:49] things planted. Uh we we have a design [49:52] uh and we will get the council I think [49:54] has already approved some of the design. [49:55] So, I we're not u ignoring that, but we [49:58] really couldn't do anything until the [50:00] grass would settle in. And I don't know [50:02] what's going on with the grass right [50:03] now. It does look a little weird. I [50:05] don't some weeds. We need to get [50:06] somebody to do something uh with the [50:08] grass. I know the water system works [50:11] fine. The lighting works great. So, [50:12] we're good. [50:13] All right. All right. Uh, okay. That's [50:17] all I have. Um, staff report, town [50:20] manager report. [50:23] >> Thank you. So, so my report is available [50:26] in your package. I would like to [50:29] highlight a few of the items that are [50:31] most significant this month. So, our [50:34] financial records have been submitted to [50:37] the auditor with completion currently [50:40] estimated for November or December [50:43] public works recently completed the [50:44] long-standing car street water leak [50:47] repair and and then after summer work [50:50] winds down um the department will be [50:54] putting [50:55] more time toward a drainage ditch for [50:58] bears. Uh the new remote read water [51:02] meter um installation is complete and is now in the final follow-up phase [51:06] with the contractor returning as needed [51:11] for corrections on the larger pro uh on [51:14] the larger projects. The the HRSC [51:17] wastewater transfer continues to move [51:19] forward with the remaining property and [51:21] related implementation work underway. Um [51:25] at HOS the restoration work and separate [51:27] HVAC project uh continue to be um [51:32] primary areas of focus with the HVAC [51:34] project being further developed before [51:36] it can go out to bid. We are also [51:39] continuing work on the remaining [51:41] northeast CDBG improvements. The next [51:43] phase of the blacksmith shop restoration [51:46] is out for bids with DHR funding and and [51:50] I have begun and an an audit of the town [51:53] website and a regular communications [51:55] piece called the the main update. So [51:59] those are the main highlights but I will [52:02] be happy to answer any questions at [52:07] >> I have just one quick question. What are [52:09] the means of distributing the ankco [52:12] update? [52:13] >> Right now it is through our um constant [52:18] contact which is an an email [52:21] distribution service and and and right [52:23] now I I am sending it to our contact [52:26] list of residents which which I I [52:28] believe is about a thousand people [52:30] roughly. [52:31] >> Okay. Okay. [52:32] >> Is it feasible to include a link to it [52:37] to the to the people that you have text [52:40] numbers for as well? [52:44] >> Yes. [52:45] >> Okay. [52:45] >> We can do that. [52:46] >> Okay. [52:47] >> Because there may be people who are in [52:48] one but not the other. If you want to [52:50] get as broad a coverage that could be a [52:53] good tool, [52:53] >> right? And we can put it on social media [52:56] as well. [52:56] >> Good idea. [52:57] >> Yeah. [52:58] >> Thank you. [53:01] question. Okay. On the audit, so this is [53:03] for the fiscal year 25 audit. Is that [53:05] the one? So that'll be done in December. [53:06] What is the game plan for 26 then? [53:08] Because it's usually around when they I [53:09] think they look for the next year, isn't [53:11] it? [53:11] >> Yeah. So, so we are looking for them to [53:14] start that um right away. As soon as [53:17] they're done, we're on it. [53:19] >> Okay. All right. And then um piggyback [53:22] on what Sarah was talking about, I know [53:25] when we first got Constant Contact, [53:26] there was a big push to get people out. [53:28] Maybe there's something up front we can [53:29] share with people when they come in [53:30] about signing up again. And I don't know [53:32] if there's other ways we could do a [53:33] little like mini campaign to get more [53:35] people signed up. Just a suggestion. [53:38] >> That's a good idea. [53:39] >> Thank you, [53:41] >> Cindy. [53:44] » Okay. Um on the nuisance lawn control, [53:49] you said you were um devising a standard [53:51] operating procedure. [53:52] >> Yes. [53:53] >> Do you feel like we need to update our [53:54] ordinance on that? I know we did it [53:56] fairly recently. I thought [53:58] >> yeah um right now I I think the the [54:01] ordinance itself is pretty strong. I you [54:04] know I I think what what really was [54:05] lacking was the follow through on it and [54:08] so I think we're taken care of for that [54:10] now. So [54:11] >> yeah um on the mosquito control [54:15] >> do you have any idea when you'll have [54:17] the um program fleshed out? [54:21] >> That would be a great question for her [54:23] for an okay [54:24] >> if she doesn't mind. So, it's taking [54:27] longer than anybody would like, right? [54:29] But let me let me explain to you how [54:31] we've been spending our time [54:34] being good stewards of town money. We [54:36] wanted to cost out not just for this [54:39] season, but going forward, right? And [54:42] so, one option would be more economical [54:45] just for this season. Another option [54:47] would be more economical for next [54:49] season, which entails purchasing some [54:52] equipment, actually getting cylinders [54:54] that we would be filled with carbon [54:56] dioxide, which is not convenient to [54:59] obtain here on the shore. So that [55:01] entails travel costs. And so we're just [55:04] pricing things out to find the most [55:05] economical [55:07] route to do it. And so we're kind of in [55:10] the finishing touches of that. And as [55:13] soon as we make the call on that, we'll [55:14] be able to get started with the with the [55:17] uh [55:17] >> So, are you thinking that implementation [55:19] will be next spring? [55:21] >> Oh, no. We're going to be catching [55:22] mosquitoes. By God, we're going to be [55:24] catching mosquitoes in the next few [55:26] weeks if it kills me. [55:27] >> I've gotten a couple of complaints about [55:29] it. [55:32] [laughter] [55:32] >> Um my next question, [55:35] >> can we follow up on mosquitoes real [55:36] quick? So I uh to be clear, it doesn't [55:40] look like we're going to be spraying [55:41] from mosquitoes this year. Correct. [55:42] >> I can't imagine that we would be known. [55:44] >> And we don't even have anybody lined up [55:45] to we don't have a budget. We do. [55:48] >> First of all, we need to have the the [55:49] data to substantiate that it's [55:51] >> necessary. And then we would need to [55:53] identify [55:54] >> right [55:54] >> a resource even if we have the money, [55:56] >> right? [55:57] >> Uh we would need to go through the [55:58] appropriate steps to identify somebody [55:59] that could do it. [56:00] >> Yeah. [56:01] >> And it would need to be tied in with the [56:03] results of the surveillance. And so, [56:05] >> so we're looking at next year if that [56:06] when we get our data in. [56:07] >> I would believe so. I I believe yes, I [56:09] believe so. But [56:10] >> if if we want to do that, [56:11] >> I just can't say enough about how people [56:14] really need to make sure that they're [56:15] getting rid of standing water, using [56:17] dunks. [56:18] >> We got plenty of water [56:19] >> using using screens and doing all those [56:21] steps that everybody can take because [56:23] quite frankly, we could we could spray [56:25] and spray and spray, but if people are [56:27] not taking those steps, it's it's just [56:30] going to be an uphill battle. And don't [56:33] think I did not say we're going to spray [56:35] and spray and spray. I did not say that. [56:37] But it's important that we all do [56:39] whatever we can because uh uh that's [56:42] what it's going to take to combat the [56:44] issue. [56:44] >> Okay. [56:45] >> Could I ask if you're doing the trapping [56:46] of mosquitoes now to determine what [56:48] we've got and how many and all that. [56:50] >> So that's so here here's what we're [56:52] working on right now. We need to use [56:54] carbon dioxide to attract the mosquitoes [56:57] to the trap. Yes. It comes in the form [56:59] of dry ice or a tank. And so that's what [57:02] we're looking at the options and which [57:05] one is more economical [57:08] and better for the town in the long [57:10] term. We're just finalizing that. What [57:12] I'm trying to do is find somebody that [57:14] we can get to deliver tanks and I'm [57:17] waiting for some calls back on that. But [57:19] uh because quite frankly the travel to [57:21] get the tanks would be the most [57:23] expensive part of the whole operation [57:24] and we don't want to spend money like [57:26] that if we don't have to. So, we're just [57:28] we're close. Very close. Okay. [57:31] >> Any other any other question? Oh, you're [57:33] still I'm sorry. You only get three [57:36] questions. [57:40] » Um, [57:43] » oh, just a suggestion on the website [57:46] review. Have you considered um having a [57:49] user group of representatives of the [57:51] public, the town council businesses, [57:53] etc. to kind of review the changes [57:56] you're anticipating to see if that would [57:58] be helpful to them. [58:00] >> That's a good idea. In terms of the um [58:03] Yes. Sorry. So, so for for my audit, I'm focused specifically on on outdated [58:11] information and facts and numbers, but what what you're suggesting [58:16] would be great in in terms of looking at [58:19] the structure of the website and the and [58:21] the ease of use and things like that. [58:24] Just my own personal suggestion is that [58:26] we remove code site code of Virginia [58:28] citations from the website because the [58:31] potential for them becoming outdated is [58:33] large. [58:36] That's it. Thank you. [58:38] >> Anybody else for this? [gasps] Okay. [58:40] Financial report. Any questions about [58:42] the financial report? I think we [58:46] Okay. Anything else from Okay. Okay. Uh, [58:53] town council comments. Ashley, [58:57] » just want to piggy back off the comments [58:59] that you made uh about this weekend's [59:01] Blacksmith Festival. [59:04] Um, that was my first time attending. [59:06] Um, so I just thought it was a wonderful [59:08] family event. Um, I saw some of my town [59:11] council members, also see some of the uh community people that are here in the [59:17] meeting that were there. Um, just a very [59:20] nice event. So, that was it. Had a good [59:22] time. [59:25] >> Thank you. I missed the blacksmith event [59:28] this year. I've been in the past. Um, [59:32] I was out of town this weekend or I [59:34] would have been there. Um, just a [59:38] question on the drain grates [59:42] that seem to get clogged regularly and [59:47] cleaned seldom [59:49] and probably contribute to some of the [59:54] um runoff issues. Is there a way to work [59:58] that into the schedule with more [1:00:00] frequency? [1:00:02] >> Um, so so um I can't say off the top of [1:00:05] my head, but but that's definitely [1:00:07] something I can look into. [1:00:08] >> Okay. Thank you. [1:00:10] >> V do though, [1:00:13] >> right? Yes. And and [1:00:15] >> uh Okay. [1:00:16] >> And so, [1:00:16] >> well, we still could claim [1:00:17] >> part of that is if VOTE owns it or or or [1:00:20] if we own it, so that's still part of [1:00:22] the calculation there. [1:00:24] >> Okay. [1:00:25] >> But even if VOTE owns it, I would [1:00:27] >> it's floating. We need [1:00:28] >> It may be naive of me, but I would be [1:00:31] surprised if they objected if we cleared [1:00:34] off the foliage and stuff that's [1:00:37] blocking it. [1:00:40] » Thank you, Cindy. [1:00:42] >> Um, I'd just like to echo Ashley and uh [1:00:45] Fletcher's comments. I went to the uh [1:00:47] Outlaw Museum event and it was really [1:00:50] enjoyable. I always enjoy my lunch [1:00:52] there. Thank you very much. It was [1:00:54] great. [1:00:56] >> Ditto. [laughter] [1:00:58] I really enjoy the African dancing. That [1:01:00] was I wish we had a like workout class. [1:01:03] It's so much fun. Um, and they did like [1:01:05] they had us all participate. It was [1:01:07] really really cool. Um, so yeah, it was [1:01:09] a nice weekend and and crazy storm. I'm [1:01:12] glad everybody did okay during it. [1:01:13] That's the most important part. [1:01:17] I have a question for for Wes. I don't [1:01:20] know if you know the answer and I'm [1:01:22] disappointed that I haven't thought of [1:01:23] this sooner, but on the police report, [1:01:27] what's an incident? [1:01:30] I I I I I honestly could couldn't say [1:01:32] what the definition is. I'm sure that [1:01:34] there are certain parameters to it, but [1:01:36] I but I can ask Chief. [1:01:37] >> Okay. So, is it an incoming call? Is it [1:01:40] a call they respond to? I mean, it would [1:01:42] be kind of nice. [1:01:43] >> I think it's all of the above. Yeah. [1:01:45] >> So, it's all of the above. [1:01:46] >> Everything they do. Yeah. [1:01:48] >> If uh if it's something that could be [1:01:50] done simply, I would be I would be [1:01:52] interested in seeing when we have [1:01:54] citations [1:01:56] and not the not the good kind. [1:01:58] >> Yeah. Um, [1:02:02] and you know when when somebody went out [1:02:05] to respond to the call, you know, no [1:02:07] action, visit, citation, whatever granularity you can get, I [1:02:12] think would help us understand these [1:02:13] data more. [1:02:18] And I think there's a lot going on. Lots [1:02:20] of people are doing doing a lot of [1:02:22] things on on behalf of the town. And uh [1:02:24] I thank everybody for everything they're [1:02:26] doing. [1:02:29] staff change. [1:02:30] >> Yes. [1:02:32] So, thank you. And one thing I [1:02:34] certainly didn't want to forget is that [1:02:36] unfortunately, uh, Debbie Kaitton, our [1:02:39] director of of of administration, will [1:02:43] be leaving us after four years. And so, [1:02:46] sadly, her last day will be September [1:02:48] 4th. And so, I just want to thank her [1:02:50] for her years of service and wish her [1:02:52] the very best of luck. [1:03:02] All right. We're gonna miss We're gonna [1:03:03] miss you. [1:03:04] >> We will. I I wanted to say something in [1:03:07] the council comments, but I didn't know [1:03:09] if the timing was appropriate for me to [1:03:12] open that. So, thank you, Debbie, for [1:03:15] everything. [1:03:16] >> All right. [1:03:18] Um, any other comments? All [1:03:20] right. Do we have a motion to adjurnn? [1:03:21] >> So moved. [1:03:22] >> Second. [1:03:24] >> All in favor? Hi. [1:03:25] >> Wow. Listen, [1:03:27] that's a world record.
