Um, I spoke to the mayor previously
[2:13] about this, and I know your office, they
reached back out to me and said you went
[2:17] out with the chief. I also received a
call though from the police department.
[2:21] They said regarding this ordinance that
they were informed by council that that
[2:26] entire alleyway is to be ticketed. Even
though the ordinance is specifically for
[2:31] 3735
through 3725 King Street, which isn't
[2:36] even Frost Hofer. So, the no parking
sign if if I come to you guys and you
[2:41] guys put no parking behind my house,
those no parking signs would be
[2:46] behind my home on Frost Hofer, not
behind the homes on King.
[2:50] Unfortunately, when the signs were put
out, they put one behind our home.
[2:54] Somebody blocks the neighbor in, which
the sign is clearly we did it because he
[2:58] can't get out of his His is the only
driveway
[3:01] that comes into the alleyway. So, I
understand why we did it. We talked to
[3:05] the neighbor also.
But somebody blocks him in, he calls the
[3:09] police, when they come out, they ticket
us also
[3:12] being parked behind our home, which
doesn't It wasn't even the purpose of
[3:16] the ordinance. Just in the spirit of why
you guys passed the ordinance, where
[3:19] we're parked at,
it didn't doesn't affect it. But I would
[3:23] understand why an officer would ticket
us because one of the no parking signs,
[3:27] as I showed you, is directly behind our
home.
[3:30] We're just asking that you guys take
that sign out.
[3:33] » So, me and the chief did go out there to
look at it, and um, we're looking at
[3:38] possibly moving it over uh up a little
past your apron, and we're going to
[3:44] possibly change the verbiage to no
parking in between those two signs, so
[3:48] that will not affect you anymore, and
that should help you out. I think I'll
[3:52] be back out there on Wednesday at 4:15.

[5:41] A couple events are coming up. They we
have our car show event on Sunday,

we hope to see all the families out

we would love to see you there. It's
[6:00] usually hot actually that day.

anniversary for 9/11 memorial. It's

11th at 12:00 p.m. right in front of the
[6:26] monument on Route 130. And then as
usual, September 10th at 9:00, I
[6:32] believe, we're going to have families
there, police department, everybody
[6:37] there, volunteers putting the flags on
the ground. So, if you would like to
[6:41] take your kids, we did it a little bit
earlier. So, then, you know, families
[6:45] can take their kiddos and, you know,
they could be part of it getting the
[6:49] youth involved a little bit more.
So, that will be September 10th at 9:00
[6:54] to put the flags down. And then our
memorial
[6:59] for the anniversary will be on Friday,
September 11th. Now, for DPW, as you
[7:05] guys know, it's Labor Day on Monday. So,
everything is moves one day. So, if you
[7:09] have trash on Mondays normally, now
it'll be on Tuesday. And then the
[7:14] Tuesdays will be on Wednesdays and so
forth. So, it is a trash holiday next
[7:18] week. And if you have bulk pick up and
you're trying to clean out everything
[7:23] that you don't need before the winter
comes,
[7:25] please call DPW to schedule a pick up.
And
[7:30] it's a
someone's birthday coming up, our mayor,
[7:35] September 6th.
A happy birthday.

a great attention to the workforce in
[9:40] our country and we owe a lot to that
