[0:03] Yes. So, Andrew is uh with us is here tonight uh to answer any questions. [0:10] Andrew, if you want to kind of give a general framework and catch everybody up [0:15] where we are with Brookside. >> Yeah, for sure. [0:18] » So, the township is proposing a potential tax income financing district [0:25] with the Brookside development. that Brookside development is located [0:31] in southern part of the township [0:36] part of that tiff. It's just a very standard 10 year 75%. [0:42] So it'll be not a percent tax paid diversion of taxes that allow the [0:48] township to use that property tax revenue to pay for public [0:52] infrastructure. It's only going to be related to the actual development [0:56] that'll be the Brookside Colleges development. [1:00] » The boundaries of the tiff district are specifically for the what 23 homes Amy [1:06] 20 >> 22 22 homes [1:09] » 22 homes right there's that 15 acre parcel. Um it's just over 15 acres. It's [1:15] only going to be that parcel that development field and then be any of the [1:19] neighboring parcels. >> Yeah. just a redistribution of about the [1:23] 15% that anyway it's redistribution of tax money. [1:29] » That's right. >> Um and so that does not impact anybody [1:33] else's that's already in a home over in Brookside. Doesn't raise their taxes, [1:37] lower their taxes, nothing like that. >> Has no impact on really even the [1:42] homeowners. It won't impact them. They would pay their property taxes just the [1:45] way it normally would. The way the tip will function is if the township [1:49] trustees decide that they would like to pass this resolution at an upcoming [1:53] upcoming meeting, we will then send on that information to the county auditor. [1:57] The county auditor will set up what's known as a tip fund. It's essentially an [2:01] escrow account. The money will then as it's collected via normal property [2:05] taxes, the auditor will just transmit that money and send it into the tit fund [2:09] for that 75% and then the township will have access to that to use for public [2:15] referees. Um, I did reach out uh to the [2:20] superintendent. Uh, we're trying to get on his calendar the end of this week. [2:25] Uh, just as a courtesy, him and the treasurer uh so they're aware of it and [2:31] don't suspect there'll be any issues, but as a courtesy, we do want to make [2:35] that contact. [2:41] » Does anybody have any questions? >> Sure. One question. So tiffs can be used [2:46] to vote for embedded domain and so the residents of Brookside at [2:53] least twice have stopped the opening of my own court [2:58] is this tiff. Let me get it on that vote. [3:03] It only impacts 20 22 homes over which there isn't connectivity from there to [3:10] the IM court. Okay. >> There has nothing to do with that. I [3:16] It's close enough that >> it's a valid question. I get it. [3:22] If there's nothing else under the uh tip portion of the program tonight, [3:29] excuse our council and uh I will look for a motion to uh I [3:36] guess close the public hearing. >> I'll make a motion to close the uh [3:39] public. >> Yes. [3:43] » Yes. Um we'll now move into our regular meeting and the first order of business [3:48] for that meeting is to approve the uh minutes of August the 3rd, 2026. [3:54] » I'll make that motion. >> Second vote. [3:57] » Yes. >> Yes. [4:01] Uh next up will be excuse me public comment period. But I see no resource [4:05] from the sheriff's office. Uh so we'll go with our neighborhoods. First up is [4:09] Brookside. Um, nothing new to report other than the [4:16] what we've already discussed in terms of the upcoming fall block party and you [4:20] have everything you need on that. >> It's the permits approved to send back. [4:25] » Thank you for the hills. I'll defer to our civic [4:30] associated president. >> Thank you, Chad. Um, well, good evening [4:36] everyone. Um, my name is Joe Uig. I'm the president of the Warthingington [4:41] Hills Civic Association. Um here on behalf of them and the board tonight [4:47] um but also more importantly our residents which I know all three of you [4:52] are residents of our community as well. Um [4:56] so thank you for the opportunity to speak today. I wanted to bring uh an [5:00] issue to your attention and I know the civic association has provided you all [5:06] with a copy of a letter we submitted a couple weeks ago in July regarding [5:11] ebikes and some of the concerns from our community [5:16] surrounding ebikes and safety around those. Um I'll start by saying you know [5:21] thank you. We the civic association greatly appreciates the partnership we [5:25] have with Kerry Township. Thank you for all you do for our association and for [5:29] our community. Um, this is not a new issue. I know that [5:35] this topic has been discussed before. I think we just wanted to go on record and [5:41] both detail some of the issues, some of the concerns we're hearing from [5:45] residents, but also and maybe more importantly offer some common sense [5:49] solutions that we hope uh the township may decide to act on. Um [5:57] we we set out um a couple weeks ago, maybe more, about a month ago, on a [6:04] listening tour with our residents uh asking for feedback [6:09] um surrounding this issue about ebikes. Um and overwhelmingly the feedback we [6:15] got was there's a concern that needs to be addressed. Um, you know, if in my [6:22] letter, and I won't go through all of it, you know, we detail some of the [6:26] incidents that residents have have seen regarding the use of ebikes. You know, [6:31] they're typically um utilized by miners in the community. Um, inexperienced [6:38] riders. Uh, the speed of the ebikes is a [6:43] concern. Um, with regards to some of the shared public spaces in the community, [6:50] um, it's not isolated. There's been various incidents and reported back to [6:55] us. Um, that it's growing more and more, you know, as the weeks go on. Um, and [7:02] really the goal here is to again offer some solutions before a more serious [7:07] incident occurs. um you know, [7:12] traveling too fast through the neighborhood, not properly abiding to um [7:18] public roadway laws, weaving through traffic, um using their phones, texting [7:26] while on these, riding after dark, um not utilizing proper, you know, helmet [7:31] wear, um doing stunts on the roadways. Uh the list goes on and I won't go into [7:38] it. I'm sure you're all aware of this. Um [7:43] but again, we we're not here to we we want ebikes to be utilized in an [7:49] enjoyable manner um appropriate. That's our goal and we don't want to discourage [7:56] responsible use. Um [8:00] but we want to make sure that young riders are properly educated in how to [8:04] utilize these and both in turn pedestrians have clear [8:10] expectations in a safe environment when using our private roads. [8:15] So again, our our goal here is to to work with you all, offer some [8:22] suggestions. There's blueprints out there. I know other communities have [8:26] taken action to enforce different types of regulations surrounding ebikes. Um, [8:31] we would support, you know, utilizing doing some age restrictions surrounding [8:36] ebikes. Um, you know, that's setting minimum age for operating these uh [8:44] motorized vehicles on public roadways. Um, helmet requirements. [8:50] Um I I know in just you know speaking to some of you and speaking to law [8:54] enforcement I know there's been a big emphasis from from law enforcement to [8:59] help educate writers in the community and we appreciate that. [9:03] » Um have you seen the letter that um [9:06] » it has been sent out waiting for the approval on the flyer too. Okay. [9:10] » So I'll send the vote to Got it. Okay. >> Okay. Um and just I'll just briefly wrap [9:16] up. I mean, you know, perhaps uh there's a registration, you know, [9:23] requirements that could be enacted. Um safety education obviously is a huge [9:29] component just like driver's ed for driving a car. You know, these are these [9:34] are typically minors that utilize these. So perhaps there needs to be some more [9:37] safety education requirements before you can utilize these. Um and you know [9:46] perhaps down the road targeted enforcement if it's not these [9:50] regulations are not being you know adhere to perhaps you know that's the [9:54] last step. Um but again we appreciate the audience here tonight. I just, you [10:00] know, the the board, the civic association felt strongly to come before [10:04] you all just go on record and state that, you know, we're we're urging [10:08] consideration to act and uh from a township perspective. And again, we [10:14] really appreciate everything you do for our community. Um, and keeping our [10:18] residents safe. But we just encourage you to to look [10:22] into this matter and uh we're happy to answer any questions if there are. Thank [10:28] you for the time. I'll I'll kind of defer to the chief um [10:35] and he can explain kind of what we've done, but I guess like an overview is [10:41] is, you know, we're we're our police department, like any police [10:46] department, is bound by what's in the Ohio Revised Code. So, you know, we [10:51] can't place age restrictions on ebikes. Um [10:57] um we can't I don't know about the helmets. Um I [11:02] know I think under Ohio law helmets aren't required for the two of the three [11:07] classes of the ebikes. Um you know we can't require registration. [11:14] Um I know like some communities are doing that and again I'll let the chief [11:19] speak to this but um u you know one thing that makes it a [11:24] little more unique in Worththingington Hills for example compared to a place [11:28] like Upper Arlington and every community obviously has a border but you know our [11:34] neighborhood's pretty landlocked in a way uh but you have Perry Township you [11:39] have Sharon Township you have city of Columbus [11:43] and then in the back 40 area where where Andy lives, you have a bike path that [11:48] connects into Calat Farms and I know kids go through that a lot with bikes. [11:54] So, you really have four jurisdictions. Um, [11:59] and uh, so that just makes it a little more unique as well. But I guess I'll [12:04] turn it over to Chief Cisil so he can tell you. [12:07] » Can I ask one quick, Michelle? Are you guys seeing the same issues in Brooks? [12:10] Um, we were seeing more of it until that recent incident where the child was [12:16] missing. You recall? [12:18] » Yes. >> Went got lost and went missing on [12:21] anybody. >> Um, I haven't seen it as much anymore. [12:26] Seems like there there was a bit of resident conversation after that. I [12:31] don't know if that made folks kind of rethink it or not. [12:33] » There was some conversation with our officers too about that about the [12:37] distance. It's a little like u it's something new. So I think it's you know [12:42] it just you have to kind of get used to it a little bit. you know, we had the [12:47] same response, not response, we had the same concern, I guess, you know, years [12:51] ago about golf carts and and quite honestly, I put some of the blame on the [12:57] parade committee for that, you know, because everybody in their mother's got [13:00] a golf cart and I can't tell you it was even today. I wish I had my c camera on [13:09] my or my phone with me. People love to drive golf carts on on Circle in the [13:14] Green because there's really no traffic. I can't tell you how many people let [13:18] their, you know, seven, eight, nine, 10 year old kids drive golf cart. You know, [13:23] mom and dad are sitting in the seat next to them, but there's no possible way [13:28] this child's anywhere near 16 and they're driving the golf cart, you know, [13:32] on on circle on the green where, you know, it's a circle. So sometimes, you [13:37] know, when you go around, you can't see cars and cars can't see you. So, but I [13:41] think the golf cart thing for the most part has kind of settled that. I mean, [13:45] it's it's crazy the week of Fourth of July. Obviously, I'm surprised there's [13:49] not been more accidents with those, but um but again, I'll let the chief tell [13:55] you what what we've done to uh try to, you know, address this issue. [14:02] » So, we we started doing targeted enforcement and um if you want, I can [14:06] send you some of those stats. We studied that uh not the week before. So each [14:11] week we'll have a different night where we do some enforcement officers [14:14] are on bicycles and we spend a little extra time and making contacts and so [14:18] forth. The one thing I know that was talked about was a resolution here to [14:21] say you know we pass a resolution to be similar with the issue is my opinion [14:27] when you pass a resolution becomes a civil issue to where if you follow the [14:31] Ohio Revised Code it's we have the option of making it criminal need. So [14:35] that's one of the things that and we're going to adopt the same thing as the [14:38] Iowa vice code. We already have it. So it's just they try to target the [14:42] enforcement educated form. Um I have a letter and a uh flyer about ebikes that [14:48] once they are happy with the flyer. They've already approved the letter [14:51] that's going to go out. We want to send out to all our residents township wide [14:55] so to speak. e blasted and then um officer Schwab who comes to your yeah [15:01] she will bring some of those flyers and letters so people can she can pass them [15:04] out at events and different things. So we hope to try to educate the best we [15:08] can and enforce what we have to if that makes sense. And like I said we're going [15:11] to continue the the um directed patrols and target enforcement until probably [15:16] weather gets the point where a lot of the folks that you see causing [15:21] the problem live on the Delbert County side. We've had uh three or four where [15:28] um kids have run from us from the officers and they all go straight up [15:33] fairway drive through the cut through and into Delaware County. So, and uh [15:37] this past week, our officer on bike stopped a couple they stopped at a young [15:42] man on a go-kart who was from Delaware County and another uh ATV from Delaware [15:47] County. So, unfortunately, some of those problems are outside of the [15:51] neighborhood. Yeah. Okay. Well, we'd be appreciate that and we'd be happy to [15:56] disperse that letter to association. And if you want to let especially residents [16:01] know when they see things, call call us immediately. Call when they have problem [16:05] emergency numbers because there's especially if officers close by. It [16:08] gives a better chance. >> Yeah. Kids typically respond a little [16:12] bit better. A police officer go back to their parents. Well, what we find is [16:17] when you call the parents over and say, "Come here and because we have your [16:20] child because they did this," they respond a little differently, too. So, [16:23] which is a good thing. Okay. >> But yeah, please give us a call. Tell [16:28] tell your drivers, "Give us a call if they see something." So, [16:31] » yeah, I think just pick it up. But yeah, I mean, he hit golf carts. And I I think [16:36] because it's such a new mode of transportation, people are getting used [16:40] to it. So, I always say like when the golf carts came out, it was like the [16:43] pendulum was over here. It was like we not only do we have kids driving it, but [16:47] they're not they're not road ready. They need brake light. I mean, the list went [16:51] on and on and on. And I think they've become sort of an accepted mode of [16:56] transportation. And that pendulum is kind of swung back where everybody's [16:59] like that. I think I'm I'm sort of one that says, "Okay, let's let's kind of [17:06] live with it. I understand taking a risk from a safety standpoint and everything [17:10] like that, but but it's like I think what's going to happen is that [17:13] pendulum's gonna sort of come back and people will get used to it. I I think [17:17] the big thing is educating parents cuz parents have no clue what their kids are [17:22] doing. I mean, I saw a kid, you know, you'd said about the thing. [17:25] » I was telling Chief, I was mowing my grass and I see a kid doing a wheelie [17:30] coming up coming up the thing and I was like, but if they're not there, like [17:34] then what what do we do? Like how do you do I do I stop the kid and say, "Hey, I [17:40] want you to take me I mean that's the situation that we're in right now is [17:44] like how do you enforce something whether there whether that kid was [17:48] registered or not? You know it it you got to catch it and [17:53] then if you do catch it then the only people that really can do it are the [17:57] police that's going to have any peak. And I think that's the that's the issue [18:01] that I'm just I think we're just going to I think we're over here and the [18:06] pendulum is going to swing back. But I think working with the civic association [18:09] on this and more like educate the nice thing is kids are going back to school. [18:14] So I think there's an opportunity to get kids around and you know and talk to [18:17] them and you know say hey you know these things that you're driving. Um but [18:22] that's that's sort of my take on on where we're at in the whole scheme of [18:26] things. self right [18:31] if we had an opportunity to work with the school [18:37] education wise safety wise and she petros [18:43] thing is would with the officers [18:48] do we have the resources to be able to work with the school to educate [18:56] students parents parents like I know they do the the Wednesday bus [19:00] » bike bus bike bike >> we we still do like a rodeo with them [19:04] too like the bicycle rodeo type thing so we I mean there's always an opportunity [19:08] officer rising in the school all the time there's always opportunity to kind [19:12] of like the flyer can we get the school to send them home you know can we we can [19:16] post it to school there's a lot of opportunities there that we already do [19:19] I'm sure that we can ask for a little help [19:23] » connect that that way >> I I think thing we need to be very [19:28] cognizant about in offering any type of training or education [19:34] is that we have nobody within our organization that is certified to do [19:39] that. So I think there is an expectation of people who would send their children [19:46] to that that they're being trained by people who are trained to train [19:51] and we don't have anybody. So, >> so does Upper Lincoln have someone [19:56] » or will they? >> I don't know that there is any training [19:58] available right now through Opata that certifies law enforcement. [20:02] » Maybe it's not training. >> Maybe it's not training. I just find out [20:04] what the laws are. It's more like education on because I still think some [20:08] people are very confused on >> you need a license, you don't need a [20:13] license, how fast can these things go or I didn't know until the there were three [20:18] classes of ebikes until I did some research and you know and two out of the [20:23] three, you know, anybody can anybody can operate those. You don't need a helmet. [20:28] The third class is a little more unusual. You got to be a certain age. [20:32] You got to wear a helmet. I think uh for the class three ones, but you know, I [20:37] know there's, you know, there's there's a difference [20:40] there, but I think a lot of folks might not know that. You know, I think some [20:45] parents just need to be reminded too that they're responsible for their kids [20:49] and if there's problems caused by their kids, then it's ultimately going to fall [20:53] on the parents, >> right? [20:56] I mean, it certainly wouldn't hurt to suggest perhaps to the schools that [20:59] here's here's a letter that could be sent out [21:02] » with your information or attached I think if they they do them [21:06] » electronically now. >> Yeah. [21:08] » You know, are is everybody going to read it? [21:12] Does it hopefully connect a few dots for folks that aren't paying attention? [21:16] » I know that um Miss Miller had said before anything we wanted to post, they [21:19] have the board that's inside the school. We can hang things there. So, I think we [21:23] can probably post this kind of stuff there. Um, I'm sure the new principal [21:27] wouldn't have any issue with that either. So, again, I think there's ways [21:30] we can do that. And if you look on our Facebook page and police page, there's [21:35] several things about ebikes there. You can print anything off that you want to [21:38] share. Like I said, >> we've reshared a few of those. [21:41] » Okay. And then, like I said, this one, long as the board doesn't have any [21:44] issues with this one, they'll come out with um a letter. And like I said, I'll [21:48] make sure you get copies of that, too. >> Thank you, Chief. the book they want to [21:52] do something for the schools. I think maybe looking at the PTA or the parents [21:56] association having the school send it to the parents because [22:02] big part of this issue is that parents don't truly understand the rules [22:07] » the rules or I think the potential of what these [22:14] vehicles can do. um they they see them as just electric bicycles when in fact [22:20] they are they are more than that and I think the education certainly the [22:26] kids need to understand what traffic laws are but I also cuz I'm old think [22:34] that's a parent's responsibility to teach their children [22:37] » well it you're it's not because you're old it's a responsibility especially if [22:41] we're talking about the elementary schools those kids don't have the you [22:46] Right. So >> the decision making abilities the [22:49] information has to go to. >> Yeah. I just think you know we can [22:53] certainly talk to the kids. >> I just want to be very careful in how we [22:57] word this that we are not offering training because we're not certified [23:02] trainers and just want to put us in a position where [23:06] if something goes sideways they can come back and say well this is what the [23:10] police department was training us on. Um, we're not certified trainers. We [23:16] shouldn't be offering training in an area we're not certified to train in. We [23:19] can certainly offer education and tips about here's what the laws say. [23:26] » Well, and so I don't know what the board's vision is on that, but that's my [23:30] assumption was it was going to be some reiteration if not a direct duplication [23:35] of the same information that we're looking to send to residents. But I I in [23:40] in what we talked about tonight, I've heard about what other communities are [23:44] doing and some other communities are offering some training. [23:49] » So what is the board where are you folks landing here on this? I mean is the [23:53] intent to try to do some training on the children? [23:55] » No. No. >> I think I think it's I think we're we're [23:59] going down the path that we should. It's the [24:02] you guys are doing what you're doing. We're going to send it out. We're going [24:05] to tell people what we're doing. we're going to hopefully see um a change and [24:10] then it's sort of peeling back the layers of the onion once, you know, once [24:13] we see what that happens, we'll, you know, we'll adjust. If we need to amp [24:18] things up, we'll amp things up if we don't. But I I just think it's I think [24:22] we're just the pendulum's over here and it's going to slowly it's going to [24:25] slowly come back and uh you know, I I I think it's educating parents that, you [24:31] know, Johnny bought got an ebike. We're going to buy Billy the kneebike cuz [24:35] Johnny got one. But we don't really understand because we don't want our kid [24:39] to, you know, be, you know, all this kid and I've got a regular bike. It's just [24:44] and that's where the breakdown is because they bought the kid the bike to [24:48] do it and then now it's um, you know, they're just not training or understand [24:53] what they just bought their kid. So, >> and I think the more parents that we [24:58] call we stop their kids, I think that helps educate because that's kind of our [25:03] where we're at. you stop somebody for a violation that's under 18, we're calling [25:07] parents and making them come and release them to their parents, [25:09] » including when it's senior time. >> Well, and that's that that goes back to [25:16] » that also gets the word on I mean the nice thing about Word and Tails being [25:20] kind of in the bubble and like you said and Brookside as well. It's like when [25:25] something like that happens, they're going to tell all the friends. Oh. So [25:28] all of a sudden it's like we're going to come back and [25:32] then all of a sudden it's like I'm going to go back and it's like if I get down [25:36] because you were doing it >> that that's what we want. We want [25:40] parents to be aware that there's an enforcement going on. [25:44] » The other side of it is you have >> you have young kids who don't know any [25:48] better so they stop and talk to the officers. You have you have a group that [25:52] when they see officers they will be perfect kind of like traffic violations. [25:57] Then you have others that will do it in front of an officer because they're not [25:59] going to stop. So it's kind of so completely understanding the comment [26:06] about uh the training aspect and not being trained with the golf carts for [26:12] instance. You know, now you had to have the police come out and do an [26:16] inspection, >> do inspection, check off. [26:19] » As part of that education, could there be a component where you have a police [26:23] officer? I mean, I'm just thinking if you have a kid interact with a law [26:28] enforcement agent on the front end, >> could that, you know, set the stage for [26:34] them to be more, you know, viable, you know, with operating it on [26:41] the front end. >> And I think that goes back to kind of [26:43] the education figure. And again, kind of like the bicycle rodeo. Our bike [26:47] officers participate in bicycle rodeo, but they're not training anybody. what [26:51] they're doing is explaining here what the law what the rules are. They don't [26:54] train you on it. They explain what the rule says. So again, I think it's kind [26:58] of the same thing. It's kind of what we're trying to do is here's what the [27:00] law says. You have to buy this. >> So again, it's it's a [27:06] we want to educate. I wish I sense what we're [27:12] saying. That's really >> in terms of like getting the word out in [27:16] education. Does the uh does the civic association put out any kind of a [27:20] newsletter anymore? >> We don't do a like a monthly newsletter. [27:24] Um we do communications when needed. And >> there used to always be, you know, views [27:30] from the hills. You probably remember that. [27:33] » Yeah. That that came out quarterly, I think, [27:36] » back in the day. But >> back in the day. [27:39] » Back in the day. >> Yeah. Yeah, [27:41] » but um uh >> we don't but we're always happy to [27:45] » I mean I'm sure you guys have a pretty good database because you get an email [27:48] about dues every year. >> Um but um you know maybe maybe provide [27:55] the information to them and they can do a separate like email blast. [27:59] » Yeah, I'll do that too. there. I guarantee there's people that are on [28:02] your email database that aren't on ours. And we're trying real hard to get more [28:06] and more people to do that, particularly like at school events and that kind of [28:12] thing or, you know, even like at Epcon, they're having a community night. We're [28:15] going to try to It's so much easier to communicate with people that way. It's [28:19] so much more efficient to do that. [28:24] So, keep pushing this side. Would you be willing would we be willing to have [28:31] conversation with the principal and the PTA president and just kind of talk [28:36] through this about what they see as the best vehicle to [28:41] communicate to both parents and students? [28:44] » Don't see as an issue at all. Okay, let's have a conversation [28:51] with no clips because they deal [28:56] they deal with these kids every day. At least the ones that go to the school, [29:00] right? Not so difficult word, but the ones who go to school, they also deal [29:04] with parents some respect. >> So, [29:08] just trying to figure out the connection, the best effective [29:11] connection that can be made from their perspective. And I mean this with no [29:15] disrespect, but the elementary kids aren't the problem. [29:17] » I know. >> I mean, that's the whole thing. It's [29:20] it's the >> young teens and late teens that we're [29:23] having issues with. >> And hopefully though, you might get some [29:26] with older siblings, you know? I mean, I don't care if they get the same thing [29:29] five times. Hopefully, it hits some of the [29:32] » That's why I said I mean it elementary kids are the easy part. [29:39] » Anything else, Joe? Anything else? No, thank you for the opportunity to come. [29:45] Yeah, thank you for coming in. >> Anything else for Warington Hills? [29:50] We never did upcon rebell. >> Uh, let's see. Is the water backflow [29:57] water thing on there? >> Um, well, we're still waiting. Revel is [30:03] going to have to do some work on a backflow valve on our main water line. [30:08] Uh, so they're going to shut water off for about three hours. Um, I've been [30:13] working with Upper Arlington Fire to get their approval to do that. Um, they have [30:22] to go through the UA's fire marshal submit some paperwork. They'll have to [30:27] issue a permit. Um, and then we'll send that permit to the city of Columbus who [30:33] actually owns that water line. They'll send somebody out from the big big meter [30:40] department. They have a what it's called the big meter department. It's like [30:45] commercial meters and it'll be there while they do that [30:48] job and make sure it's all put together. And [30:51] » so we're working on it then. They have not set a date to start that project. Um [30:56] we're kind of right now waiting on UA to give us that go ahead. [31:02] And just a kudos to EPCON their HOA after much frustration because they're [31:09] they're not they're an independent HOA at this point. They shared with us all [31:16] their email to their uh residents. So we have their email addresses and the [31:22] authorization to use them for announcements from the HOA [31:26] » for EST. >> Yeah. They have that authority to do so. [31:30] So whereas Rebell doesn't, they're not independent yet. They're not switched [31:35] over. Um so um I just want to thank them for doing that. It partly came from the [31:43] fact of why the Colbert project on Riverside Drive, why aren't you telling [31:49] us? Well, it's because we probably had about five emails from those people and [31:53] ever so many. So, uh, it kind of was generated as a result of that [31:59] conversation. So, I want to thank them for doing that. [32:04] Anything else under public comment? Zoning. Anything under zoning tonight? [32:09] » Nope. Road department. A few updates on couple addresses. Um, [32:15] 1632. I believe it's a water issue they're having um in the gutter pan [32:22] freezing causing an ice block in the winter time. Um I don't see any issues [32:27] with the the water anything from the curb causing [32:34] the water to uh dam up. I think there's a sump pump running [32:40] » continuously. It's really hard right now to tell which [32:43] sump pump is causing that in the winter. So, I can tell you they might have the [32:48] same issue that I had if they're I mean, it's hard to tell this summer, but the [32:52] summer that happened to me, it was bone dry and my water line had a leak in it [32:57] as it was coming into the foundation because they didn't used to sleeve it [33:02] and when it shipped it, it started to drain. So, the water was coming down. I [33:06] wasn't seeing it in the meter, but my sump was constantly running. So, but it [33:11] was constantly flushing out until I found it. So that might be [33:17] » I think one of the neighbors runs >> non-stop in the winter [33:23] » and and the only way they have to do it Ian is they got to take a stethoscope [33:27] and they go like this up to the wall and they'll hear the water running on the it [33:33] was seriously I had no clue couldn't understand it but found it and created [33:38] all kinds of >> But you did have that bonus bathroom in [33:40] your yard. Oh, that was a different issue. [33:44] » We do find out where it's coming from. >> Yeah, [33:47] » that can be brought up to the homeowner, >> the residents. Um [33:54] 807 Park Ridge and 1166 residents have a reported uh [34:00] problems with their approaches. uh 1166 Blind Brook. They have a chunk missing [34:05] out of the uh the approach and uh there's some deterioration on 807 Park [34:12] Ridge. I've got that plan to uh do some uh concrete patching on that uh on the [34:20] driveways. >> We're doing it, right? [34:22] » We're going to do it. We don't we didn't do a contract this year. Uh we're going [34:28] to do this in-house. It's just going to be patchwork. [34:30] » Okay. Um, >> if have you have you let the residents [34:33] know the plans for >> I will. [34:35] » Okay. Thank you. >> Uh, then this I have an update. Well, [34:40] Steve had his rideway permit has been issued. Um, [34:45] he did post the bond. Uh, I get a paperwork to Mr. Roer. Uh [34:52] the back of the ball requires [34:57] chairman's signature and then he's moving forward with the [35:01] work. Our estavator was delivered Friday. [35:07] Um he'll be digging his foundation for his new house soon. [35:13] » He is planning on living out of a um >> camper. Camper. [35:18] » What you call this house? He sold his house and he moved out last week. [35:24] » Wait, last he sold his house. [35:27] » His house is the one he's living in. He's building his new house is the one [35:31] they're building. Uh he plans on putting camper [35:36] out there while he's building. [35:41] » So it camper on his property. Camper [35:46] » camper on his property. >> Okay. [35:48] » Columbus side. Not not on the road. >> Not on the road. No. [35:51] » Yeah. Okay. >> Not in the back end or the back of the [35:55] property there. >> We should park it up. [35:59] As long as it's out of the rideway. >> Um, and then do we have an update on the [36:06] Brookside traffic homing? >> Um, so I wanted to talk about that. [36:12] I was not here last time. I don't know if you ended up. I apologize. [36:17] » Okay, great. So, it was, I think, a very productive conversation. Um, got a lot [36:23] of resident feedback. Nora did reach out after about what next steps are and we'd [36:28] like to get back on our calendar. We can do the next meeting if that works for [36:32] everybody um for her to kind of review and provide a revised [36:38] um deck based on the feedback of the residents. The what we also need to kind [36:45] of tee up is based off of that additional revision is timing for a all [36:50] resident review. Um now that school is starting, you know, we can do that at [36:56] the school. That should be easy to book. Um, [37:01] based on availability, I don't know if you folks want to do like a whole [37:04] meeting like we've done before where it's the it happens to be our standard [37:09] meeting. We just move the location or do you want to do just a special meeting [37:13] for that? >> I just do a special [37:15] » that you I was just going to do like an open house meeting. [37:23] That was my business. I'll I'll do whatever. [37:25] » And that's fine. I don't [37:27] » I think a special meeting is probably better just because [37:30] » people don't want to sit through business, right? Unless it's an all [37:34] short meeting, but you know >> that works. [37:37] » I think a special meeting is more to the point. You'll get better turnout. [37:40] » The other thing that Nora raised in her message to me is that we are reaching [37:45] the end of the scope of work that was initially defined. [37:50] So, um I think the the recap and the revision of the deck, it's my [37:55] understanding, would be part of the current scope, but we'll have to [37:59] determine if >> she but her scope her scope included [38:02] that all >> included the resident meeting. Correct. [38:05] I'm sorry. Through that, but then we need to determine if if additional [38:09] action is needed. >> So, does she re [38:13] » we can talk to her about that when we have her on [38:15] » Okay. >> for the meeting. [38:16] » That's fine. Yeah. I mean, I'm just thinking obviously there are a couple [38:19] steps after y'all get me. >> Okay. [38:23] » Okay. So, if it works for you folks, then I [38:26] will confirm her availability for our next meeting. [38:29] » Okay. [38:34] » Anything else under road department? U Mr. Chainy, did you want to share the [38:38] new Aqua contact? >> So, I did reach out. We have a new Aqua [38:42] contact is um [38:47] Maurice was our former contact. He's moved on to another company position. [38:53] So, uh I left him a message today and ask for some available dates so that we [39:00] can at least have a kind of a get to know you Mr. [39:05] » Yes. And so we'll get something set up with you and [39:10] Petrosi and just get to know each other real quick and try to get a better [39:14] understanding of the conclusion of the pro of the project that they have going [39:18] on and maybe what what they're looking for 27. So when he calls back they'll [39:23] get some dates and shoot them your way and on the calendar. Hey, I do have one [39:28] question for you on the roads. So, how far down is that water line that where [39:33] they cut across club view? >> About 5 foot. [39:38] » How are we going to address um are they going to repave that entire [39:43] intersection? Kind of similar to how they did over this over the school where [39:47] the where hits Club View. [39:51] » It'll be one lane width. >> It won't be as wide as how they did Club [39:54] View. >> Okay. [39:56] » At at Andlewood. It'll be the the full lane. My my whole my concern is and you [40:01] can kind of see what's happening now with the amount of traffic that keeps [40:04] hitting that lot. It's going to go and coming from somebody that had a driveway [40:09] that you know replaced and it's down. It's still settling. [40:13] » So I don't know what their requirements for compacting whether they're going to [40:17] do it in lifts or what but that we really got to make sure [40:22] » that seems like it's just temporary right now. [40:23] » That is temporary. It's temporary >> and it has dipped down quite a bit. [40:27] » Yeah. The cold patch that they're using that's going to work its way out. Uh [40:30] they're going to do a full depth repair of the trench of I think it's 10 in of [40:36] asphalt is what's on the plan. >> Okay. [40:38] » And then they'll do the mill out across there. [40:41] » All right. Cool. Are they going to They're doing the fiber mat. [40:44] » They will not do the fiber mat. We didn't do the uh [40:49] the agreement with them this year. [40:54] Okay, >> this is just [40:58] the one lane that they're required on the specs to uh [41:04] » Okay. How How many feet are in the township [41:08] though? I think it's not that much, right? About 300 on each street. Okay. [41:16] I always think it goes like two houses deep, maybe three. Very much. [41:21] » Yeah. And we'd be really hard to get them straer SDI to come in to do 600 ft. [41:28] » Could we get I mean we're the only the county doesn't [41:35] push this on their projects, >> right? [41:38] » Do you think we could get the the alternative? What's it called? [41:45] » What's circle on the green ask? >> Well, I wasn't going to say that anyway. [41:49] Hey, if it's good for Circle Under Green, it's good for everybody else. [41:53] So, >> I have higher standards. [41:55] » Do you think we could have a conversation? [42:00] » We could have a conversation, but it's going to be hard to get any contractor. [42:04] The mobiliz mobilization fee to have them come in to do 600 ft. [42:09] » Can they is going to be >> extremely high. Can can can they can [42:14] they add like we're we're doing um like our condo [42:21] association coat's doing it and they're they're [42:24] putting a fiber mix into the asphalt as they mix it and then when they lay it's [42:29] not like the fiber mat that we're doing but it is a fiber that they're adding to [42:34] it. >> Is there a ch is there a chance that we [42:37] can >> look at that? [42:39] » We can look into it. See if we can >> I'll send you the product that that [42:43] they're doing. >> Does that road have fiber on it right [42:45] now? >> Does Mission Hills and Sing? [42:50] » Mission Hills. >> I suppose you could make the argument [42:52] that they got to put it back the way they found it. [42:54] » Well, that would be an inch and a half of asphalt. Some of that were just going [43:00] outside the township line or right inside. We're finding like two inches of [43:04] asphalt, an inch and a half of asphalt getting down through the base. They're [43:10] going to end up doing like 10. You said >> they're going to fill Yeah. Okay. [43:13] » They're required in the trench to to fill that to do the full depth [43:18] there. Uh and then the overlay. >> Okay. [43:21] » But yeah, that Sharon has run into a lot of problems where [43:26] the asphalt it's an inch and a half, two inches thick [43:30] in a lot of spots. I think what the board doesn't want to [43:36] see is the the hill on Sharon where it's got that nice rut. [43:41] » Oh, I I agree. >> I mean, again, this is a little bit [43:44] different. That's a slope. I get it. >> I mean, a bottle deal. [43:50] » Yeah. >> Yeah, that's [43:52] » that's bad. >> That's one of those issues with the [43:56] fiber map. That's one of the problems with the [43:59] fiber mat is they did the well they did Sammy [44:05] they did fiber mat up the hill um I mean it's a floating road [44:11] » right >> on top of that old asphalt a lot of the [44:15] trucks a lot of our construction trucks [44:19] » over the years have caused a lot of that where it's hitting the brakes and [44:23] sliding that asphalt on the Tom reminds me of it all the [44:27] I'm sure he does. [44:32] » Anything else under the road department? That's all I have. Fire EMS. [44:37] » I have an upper Arlington uh report for the month of July. There were eight [44:41] calls uh into Perry Township. Uh six of those were on Riverside Drive. One was [44:47] at Epcon. One was at Revel. I did not receive a report yet from Warington. [44:52] » Police. >> Well, can I add one thing to that? I did [44:55] talk to Pete. They have not re supposed to be receiving something from Wharton [45:00] to fire and propose revision. He hasn't got it. [45:04] You haven't got it. So, nothing we can do until they have a conversation with [45:08] us. [45:12] » Your manager is for two weeks. my conversation with uh Chief Damito, [45:20] she's gone for two weeks or three weeks on vacation and had directed legal [45:25] director the uh legal department to send that over, but my conversation with Pete [45:31] on Friday was already fantastic. [45:37] » We have to wait on that. >> Yeah, I mean we can't do anything to us. [45:46] um police um received the um public records [45:52] policy and fee schedule that um you all approved. Pete approved it, sent it to [45:56] the Frank County Pro office. They approved it. So now it's a matter of a [46:00] start date of when we want to implement it. [46:03] » Anything under eBike other than what we talked about? [46:06] » No, I just have you all >> we all approve. We've all approved that. [46:09] » This is the flyer. Just wanted to make sure there was no issues or questions [46:12] flyer. As long as you are good with that, I'll make sure it gets sent out. [46:16] » All right. >> Do Do you need a an effective date for [46:19] the schedule? >> I think you have I think you have to [46:22] adopt it. So, I was thinking >> Yeah, we probably need a resolution to [46:26] » set that as policy >> because that'll that that applies to um [46:30] admin as well for public records. So, it's townshipwide. [46:34] So I would say September 1st, October or something like [46:39] that where we have time to push it out, deblast it, post it and say starting [46:44] this date, this is the new fee schedule. >> Okay. [46:49] » Uh you want a date? >> That's why I said I I think we could do [46:53] September 1st. That's still a couple weeks out. Or do you want to go longer? [46:56] » Um well, if we have to do a resolution, this has to be after a meeting, right? [47:01] » Yeah. I We have training tomorrow. Let's ask [47:05] that question and then we'll put it on the next meeting agenda. Okay. For the [47:09] 9th. Okay. Okay. Uh Mr. Administrator. [47:15] Um, we currently send out quarterly [47:19] newsletters and we have had some conversation about [47:27] trying to fill those newsletters with articles on a quarterly [47:32] basis and sometimes we rerun things. So the idea is or the [47:39] proposal is let's go to a semianual newsletter. Every six months we'll send [47:44] one out. We can make it a little larger in content [47:50] and we we are not putting that um [48:00] I won't call it a burden on our as township uh administrative assistant to [48:06] to put that together and get it out four times a year. So I would ask [48:13] board's opinion and whether or not they're in favor of that. [48:17] » I think she does a great job. First of all, there's a lot of work involved in [48:21] it because it's a big document. So, [48:26] I I don't know if it's twice a year or three times a year or we're currently at [48:31] four times a year. And we we also think I mean we also check will continue to [48:36] put out >> eblast [48:38] » e-blass and notifications if something big's coming up chipping seizing things [48:42] of that c you know but those newsletters that provide the various articles from [48:48] all the department head >> I think twice a year is full [48:51] » what about what about like doing it in June for the for the fourth that seems a [48:56] major event we'll have it thing and then the next one would be maybe December you [49:02] because yeah >> I think those are good timelines. [49:06] » Yeah, because usually in December you kind of know the calendar for the [49:10] following year. So you can put a copy of the magnet calendar version of that. You [49:16] can, you know. >> Yep. [49:18] And there's stuff just to announce to, you know, for the holidays. So that [49:24] maybe you do it like in November and June or something. Whatever you whatever [49:28] you got to see, you know. I think before the holidays and before [49:33] the 4th of July >> in November maybe. So that's before [49:38] » maybe late May then November. Yeah. By >> late summer return [49:45] too late. >> Well [49:48] » be too late. >> You can do it separate email blast and [49:51] all that. >> Yeah. [49:53] » You know a little more aggressive with the schools [49:57] short of taking hostages. We can be more aggressive than we were [50:00] last year, but all right, we'll keep driving. [50:07] Um, [50:15] has created, and I'll just send this down real quick. She's created this [50:20] trifold little document that we want to hand out at events that the police are [50:28] at where we're going to be much like this uh event that's going to happen [50:34] down at uh uh Epcon. And it just gives people information [50:39] about what they can receive through the eblast. There's a there's a [50:45] QR code where they can go in and sign up for the eblast. [50:49] It's a wellthoughtout and well put together document. I we're just looking [50:55] for the board to say we're good with that as something a piece of [50:58] communication that we will hand out to people. [51:02] » I love it. I think it looks wonderful. >> That's great. [51:05] » I have one suggestion if it's not too late. [51:10] » Nope, not too late. the under the trash and recycling section next to the QR [51:14] code. Y >> it says the township does not provide [51:16] residential trash collection. >> I get we are not the provider, [51:20] » but I think from our residents perspective that's probably semantics. [51:24] You know what I mean? Maybe instead it's Rumkey is the provider. You know what I [51:29] mean? Like here's what >> Rum is our current provider. [51:31] » Rum is our current provider. >> We're going to be coming up on agree. [51:35] Maybe something about who it is >> that it's not us [51:39] » on behalf of the town. >> Good point. [51:43] » Good catch. That's how a lawyer. [51:48] » That's free. >> Is that [51:52] too a couple other questions while you're in [51:55] the >> the help desk? [52:00] » I I do think it looks great though. It looks so professional. It looks like [52:04] somebody I can't believe that came out of our our offices. [52:08] » I can't. Our people are that good. >> Yeah, she she is amazing. And and I'm [52:13] going to kind of jump >> That's my next item. Anyway, I'm going [52:17] to jump to this website update. Um we've sat down, we've talked to three [52:23] different companies. Our our website is the exact same website [52:28] layout setup as it was when we put it together 11 years ago going on 12 years. [52:36] Pictures that were on that website were pictures that were taken 12 years ago. [52:40] Um so those places like those flower beds [52:44] that were in there, they don't exist anymore. Everything has changed. So, we [52:48] thought about we probably update this, but we can't update it because our [52:52] current Civic Plus that was not part of our package that we [52:56] bought. Um, and so they are willing to help us put together [53:03] redesign. That's the term they use. They're willing to help us redesign our [53:08] website and make it a little better. and they can do [53:12] that for us at the low low cost of about $8,300. [53:19] Then we met with um SPG [53:24] which is a website shoemaker technology group and it's a [53:30] website building company and they'll build you a website um from scratch [53:37] and they will be glad to help us with a website starting at about 34.95 [53:44] for a year for the cost. Then they have additional little underlying costs that [53:51] if you need different things they they charge you for. Um it is almost [53:57] identical when you look at how that website works are almost identical to [54:02] Civic Plus. Um I can tell you that the ladies sort of [54:08] responsible for our website find Civic Plus to be very difficult to navigate [54:12] through. We also met with a company called Revise. [54:18] Revise can help us design and build a whole new website. And guys, again, all [54:24] this information is in there for you. Uh so you don't have to belabor what I'm [54:29] trying to say here and and just consume it all. But um Revise will build us a [54:36] whole new website. It will cost us [54:41] um about I figure out that number. I think it's [54:45] like $12,000. [54:49] But with that option, we can spread that cost out over five years. So we're [54:53] paying about $3,700 a year over five years. And at the end of the fourth [54:59] year, they will give us a whole new redesign. We will go back in and redo [55:03] the whole thing as a part of that cost. So, [55:08] I I think I think at some point we got to make them we got to make changes to [55:13] our website. I think we need to make it a little easier. I think our ladies have [55:17] demonstrated that they have some skill sets that can really make what we have [55:22] available to our residents look wonderful, but we got to give them the [55:26] tools to be able to do that. Um, and our website, our current website with Civic [55:31] Plus is not the tool. Um, and I am not a fan of the service we've gotten from [55:36] them. I've had to send several emails that have been less than cordial [55:42] just to get some folks attention. >> What What are we paying for Civic Plus [55:45] right now a month? >> Uh, we pay Andy, I think annually [55:54] over 4,000 5,000 a year. >> Okay. I I I don't have I'm sorry. I [56:00] don't number I don't have but I I'll get it for you. [56:04] » Okay. >> But again I I just think [56:06] » so not a month. >> Oh no no no we pay annually. [56:09] » No no no five. So it's 5,000 a year. >> Yes. [56:13] » Okay. >> Right. And in this company this revise [56:16] would be 30 someund a year over five years. [56:23] And again in that fifth year, fourth year going into the fifth year, we would [56:26] do a complete redesign as a part of that cost. [56:31] » Apologies if I missed it, but are they would they also be hosting the same? [56:35] » Yes, they are the host. >> So you're saying it's less than what we [56:40] pay now? >> Yes. [56:42] » But we get a ref we get a revised plan and we we build this cost out over [56:51] » over that five years. If we go with Civic Plus to redesign what we have, we [56:54] got to pay him the $8,300 upfront. And that's really um well, if we're not [57:00] happy with Civic Plus, this is one of those things where [57:04] if if cost is about the same, maybe even if it's a 10 more, [57:10] you know, I like to think we give our police chief the tools he needs, I the [57:14] tools he needs. We don't really talk sometimes about, you know, office [57:18] people, but you know, we have talented people there and and they know what they [57:21] like and they don't like and I think you ought to if the price is, you know, [57:29] » I I would defer to them on that. >> I agree. I mean, Amanda and Faith, I sat [57:35] through all these meetings, Amanda able to ask all the pertinent questions [57:41] that they have relative to managing this process. [57:45] And of the three, this is their recommendation on what is best and [57:50] easiest for them to >> and their $12,000 [57:54] to redo >> everything and the host [57:57] » and divide it by five, >> right? [58:00] » So, because if it's if it's $3,700 over 5 years, that's $18,500 [58:06] we'd be paying for the website over five years. [58:10] » And that 12,000 Let's see here, Andy. 5-year guarantee first grant total [58:19] is 108 I think that's to build it and then the [58:24] other cost and must be the hosting cost but [58:31] over five years so we get to spread the 10,800 over five years. [58:35] » Yes. >> And then the monthly hosting is would [58:38] equal to 3700. >> Yeah. [58:45] Andy. >> Well, I mean that the only other thing [58:48] with Civics Plus, I mean, we have a website. It's built. I understand that [58:53] Luke added >> 300 pages, but you know, the other thing [58:56] that you can do is you can call Civic Plus and say, "Hey, if you guys don't [59:00] fix this, then we're we're leaving." >> We told them that. [59:04] » Okay. And they're like, "Okay, you got to build it. It's your problem. They [59:09] take them down." So the other question I have is how much transferable stuff [59:13] because the other thing that you have to look at is what stuff can weed down that [59:18] because the last time the reason why we went Civic Plus it was it was super easy [59:23] to upload and to do and they had all their you know like I don't want this to [59:28] turn into another massive project. It's like if they can download what we got [59:33] put it up into the new thing and we're off and running awesome. Well, they said [59:37] what? The first 500 pages are migrated for free, [59:41] » right? The other thing. >> The other thing we need to and I'm sorry [59:46] I didn't >> pay his own thing like the zoning code [59:50] to stuff. >> Yeah. [59:51] » Yeah. >> Yeah. Tell [59:53] » that's all that all come over. But this company also has the ability to manage [59:58] eblast revised does eblast and their eblast system is not only a an email but [1:00:06] they also text. Um, we don't have that right now with uh [1:00:11] our current vendor and that's not Civic Plus. That is Eye [1:00:17] Contact. I believe is we use for the weirdest candies [1:00:24] candy. I'm happy with the candy. I don't [1:00:29] » forget about our website. Let's talk about [1:00:31] » So, what's their So, what's their what's their term say from the time we say go? [1:00:35] How how long is it going to take for that? [1:00:38] » Andy will not be back until they get the website. [1:00:40] » I believe I believe Andy >> Crackle Crackle and Mr. [1:00:45] » have it up and running in uh six weeks I believe was the the date and [1:00:52] see now you're testing my memory Andy because we [1:00:56] um but I thought he said six weeks but I'll verify that for you and get that. [1:01:00] » So the Okay, so they do offer those things. I see it down in the add-ons, [1:01:04] but that's not part of the quote that we've got, right? [1:01:07] » No, but we're we're already paying a separate fee for eye contact, [1:01:11] » right? [1:01:16] » When's the next time you meet with or have with these folks, you know, um [1:01:23] while they're waiting for us to say, "All right, we want to sit and talk [1:01:26] specifically about time frames and get going. Let's get moving on [1:01:32] we're going to do here and how we're going to do it. [1:01:34] » So, does the board want to see a >> a proposal? [1:01:37] » Yeah. >> Yeah. Like a like [1:01:39] » I mean because it sounds like if this was to move forward, revise as the [1:01:44] company that you would select. >> Yes. [1:01:46] » So, does it make sense to either invite them [1:01:50] to meeting or you don't need to? >> I don't need to get into depths. It's [1:01:55] just like because here's the thing. If if you look at the analytics, the [1:01:58] analytics is we're we're only getting 20. We get 2,200 visits a month and half [1:02:05] of those are you know people that are just bounces [1:02:10] because you look at the bounce rate it's like well no the average time on our [1:02:14] website is 34 seconds so people are coming in to look for exactly they're [1:02:19] getting the information and then they're out or they're looking for Perry [1:02:24] Township that's up in Akran and they're like oh wrong Perry and then they're [1:02:27] out. So people are coming for information on trash zoning and police [1:02:36] or you know public that that's it. So if we can I don't care personally I don't [1:02:42] care about pictures. I don't care about you know all the because how the stuff [1:02:46] that we're doing is it's sending to our Facebook page which is all the pretty [1:02:50] stuff and all that other good stuff. So I I just I don't I'm not putting a lot [1:02:55] of weight into it as long as the information that people are coming to [1:02:58] get and that would be zoning, you know, police and um trash. [1:03:06] » Well, let's get a little more community concrete proposal. [1:03:09] » Okay, I'll get I'll get exact numbers. Do you want me to have them include with [1:03:14] this quote what the their eblast add-on is as well? [1:03:19] » Yeah, maybe. And And and make sure you include from our end what we pay right [1:03:25] now for that stuff. So we kind of compare [1:03:28] » apples to apples. You know what are we paying our monthly for email blast? We [1:03:31] we pay monthly for website and then you know what if we that sounds like we're [1:03:37] not going to go with silver plus but I mean if you had a redesign you know just [1:03:42] the standard chart we see like for health insurance you know here's here's [1:03:46] the difference [1:03:51] with color columns so pie chart [1:03:58] so one good thing about This don't they do um um text messages? [1:04:05] » Yeah, we talked about that that they can do email and text and their [1:04:11] notification. We currently only get email. [1:04:14] » Do they charge separate for those or this it's just like together? [1:04:18] » It's together and it's just part of their [1:04:21] addon. It's an add-on to the whole package. [1:04:25] » Well, I wish we had more email addresses. It'd be nice to be able to [1:04:29] text somebody out on the, you know, a road closure and those kind [1:04:34] of things that you want to >> Most Most people will pick up a text [1:04:37] message before they pick up their email, >> right? [1:04:41] » Yeah. Okay. Let me let me get these exact numbers for you. I have that for [1:04:46] you by next meeting. Uh again, gentlemen, [1:04:52] all of that is in the broch in the in the folder that's on web on the page and [1:04:56] then it's all right here for you as well. If you want to just really sit and [1:05:01] read that, I I will tell you this is kind of [1:05:07] the folks that have to deal with this and this is what Amanda has said to me. [1:05:11] We are definitely facing limitations in editing capabilities [1:05:15] uh and having significant communication issues with Civic Plus. [1:05:21] She she worked with Civic Plus when she was [1:05:25] at Prairie. She said they didn't have those problems, but they had a [1:05:30] they had a different account manager. [1:05:35] » Our account manager was a gal from Texas. I don't know how we ended up with [1:05:39] her. Sometimes you just get like hell about the camera. [1:05:43] » But again, in our communication with trying to resolve some of these matters [1:05:47] is the 400 pages that are up there. How do we take these down? That's that's [1:05:53] your problem. You got to figure it out. You don't have the tools. Well, they're [1:05:57] always wanting to sell you something. Again, I'm I'm not a not a fan of that [1:06:01] organization and how they offer service. >> Well, this is really here's my this is [1:06:07] really an Andy thing. contract thing, shell thing, and the color change. And [1:06:12] they're good with it, then we're good. >> There you go. Excellent job. [1:06:18] » Absolutely. Just like that peak making thing. [1:06:23] Everybody says, >> "All right, we'll work on that." Um, [1:06:28] trickor treat. Morpc is saying October 29th. You guys want to go with that [1:06:33] date? >> Have small children. Chair, my move that [1:06:35] we set trick-or- treat night for October the 29th, Thursday, Wednesday. Second. [1:06:42] » Well, yes. >> Okay. A reluctant guess. [1:06:46] » Why? We want to be on trick or treat October 31st. [1:06:50] » Saturday on a Saturday. >> Do you move July 4th? Do you move [1:06:54] Christmas? >> No, but Thanksgiving always the third. [1:06:59] » Saturday be awesome. >> I thought trickor treat was [1:07:01] » trick-or- treat on Saturday. Awesome. >> I thought against safety. [1:07:07] » You just don't want to be out of sync with everybody else. That's, [1:07:10] » you know, you want to be in sync with Sharon and Columbus cuz it right. This [1:07:15] is my own little personal. >> We can have two. Mr. Roer will get over [1:07:20] it for adult. Spoiler alert. It doesn't matter because [1:07:25] when it rains, and it will >> on Thursday the or the then we will be [1:07:30] asked. We're not holding it on a different night. Period. [1:07:34] » I understand a little bit on Friday night cuz you know, high school. [1:07:39] » Yeah. But Saturday night, I mean, you've got all of the adults going out and [1:07:44] driving under the infl. >> It is what it is. October 20. Oh, [1:07:47] they're not on their ebikes. >> On their ebikes and they're wearing a [1:07:51] purple robe. >> We're going to educate. [1:07:54] » Okay. So, it is the We're going with the 29th. Going 29th. All right. Um, [1:08:00] thank you. >> September is coming up. We had some [1:08:05] discussion last year about whether or not we're going to a fall cookout or a [1:08:09] Christmas party. >> You're talking where we invite [1:08:13] everybody, >> families, everybody. [1:08:16] » Yep. >> Yeah. Or do you want to do the Christmas [1:08:20] party? I I I think it's I I thought we landed on we wanted it more intimate [1:08:26] with just the staff for Christmas instead of open it up and then do the [1:08:30] fall cookout where it's nicer. We got more room. [1:08:32] » I'm willing to do it. I'm I'm all about I'm just trying to agree. [1:08:37] » I mean I it's just like it's >> you have more room too if you do it, you [1:08:41] know. >> I think [1:08:42] » it forces you to clean up your garage. >> My garage is clean. But you know, you [1:08:47] have more room out there. It's more casual. [1:08:50] It was so packed in here this year >> for Christmas. [1:08:54] » For Christmas. >> And we can Yeah. And then the kids could [1:08:57] be running around. They could, you know, like we [1:08:59] » touch a truck. >> Kids. [1:09:01] » Mhm. >> Our own touch of truck. [1:09:04] » Touch a truck. See, you can't do that. And then the And then for Christmas, [1:09:08] we'll just do >> staff. Yeah. [1:09:12] » Without families. Is that okay? >> No, just staff. [1:09:15] » No spouse. >> No spouse. [1:09:17] » No kids. >> No kids. No great deal. [1:09:21] » Yeah. Okay. >> Good. [1:09:23] » We'll get that politic officials. Um if you ask of the board, [1:09:28] » we'll invite people >> if the board can send me a couple of [1:09:33] dates that you're available in September. I'd like to schedule this [1:09:37] when you guys are going to be in town. >> Can we Can we do it Can we do it like [1:09:41] sort of like later on in the afternoon? like maybe a Thursday where you know [1:09:45] like we end the day instead of doing it middle of the day. [1:09:50] » I'm I'm fine with that's called happy hour. [1:09:54] » I wasn't I wasn't going to say that but said you went there. Yes, it's happy [1:09:59] hour. >> Are there any rules about drinking if [1:10:01] you're not operating town >> and then you know everybody you know I [1:10:04] just like [1:10:07] » you could just go to you could just go to picnic. Right. [1:10:11] » Right. It could be it could be like a >> the fall the fall batch. [1:10:15] » Yeah, we can do whatever. Maybe ask people what they would prefer, you know, [1:10:20] but >> quick poll. [1:10:22] » All right. I mean, what's most liability if we drink, [1:10:27] » but I'll just throw this out. I was going to say this. We should put a new [1:10:31] » We're going we're going to Texas for my granddaughter's second birthday. We [1:10:37] leave on Saturday, September 5th, and I don't get back [1:10:42] until until Sunday the 13th. >> 11. [1:10:48] » So, okay. So, the last So, I will not be here the next meeting. [1:10:51] » So, >> the next two weeks of the last two weeks [1:10:54] of September, we're looking at >> Yeah. Why don't we do it September or [1:10:57] the first week of >> October? [1:10:59] » Yeah. Cooler leaves are starting. [1:11:02] » You know, whatever you guys I'm all about it. [1:11:04] » Let's do it. Last week of October or first week of October? [1:11:08] » Yeah, the last week. >> How about the 29th? Let's do it on [1:11:11] October 29th. >> No, we're going to do it on the 30th. [1:11:15] » I have to wear a costume. >> Yeah, there you go. We could do the [1:11:18] Perry Township costume party. Halloween costume party. [1:11:21] » I would actually be out. Oh, you could do it on Thursday, October 1st. [1:11:26] October Fest. Perry Township Fest. >> Let's do that. Let's do October 1st. [1:11:30] » Then one is that one to >> three to five. [1:11:33] » Three to five. I thought we were going to ask the the [1:11:37] employees. >> No, not they love it. They love it. [1:11:41] » Well, we picked the time. They love it. >> They can pick the time. [1:11:45] » What? >> Okay. [1:11:48] We can pick the day. That doesn't matter. 5:00, don't we? [1:11:52] » I like that a lot. >> Uh, you know what? I I've lost. We have [1:11:58] Jimmy leak or >> what's that? [1:12:00] » We have Jimmy Buffet me. We can, >> you know, I'm thinking we should hold it [1:12:03] somewhere other than the township. [1:12:07] » I know a guy. >> You always do. [1:12:10] » It holds a place right across the road here. [1:12:16] » But this is supposed to be a family, but you don't want to see. [1:12:19] » I spend all my time with my family. I'm good. [1:12:23] » That'll be the Christmas party. >> Yeah. [1:12:25] » Why don't we just wait until the Christmas party and then we'll do it [1:12:28] offsite? God. [1:12:32] » Oh my god. >> Love it. [1:12:35] » I tell you what, why don't you have Andy coordinate everything. [1:12:38] » Love it. >> That was my event planning. [1:12:43] » Um, we've already talked about the tips, so I'll move that and then check I'm [1:12:48] going to over the U. [1:12:58] » Was that on there? for the uh 41 acres. >> Oh, [1:13:04] » everyone ask for that. [1:13:09] » Yeah, >> we table the next day. [1:13:12] » I can't be here, but that's okay. >> Whatever the majority does. [1:13:20] » Well, if he doesn't miss the party, we're [1:13:22] » all good. >> Chef, do you have any type of update on [1:13:25] the 161? [1:13:28] » Yes. So, uh, we're going to be inviting, um, the project manager to one of our [1:13:35] two September meetings. Obviously, now it's going to be the second meeting. [1:13:39] » First meeting is the best. >> Jim's not going to be here. So, I'll [1:13:42] just give him a call. He's coming to I think 17th or something like that. No, [1:13:47] that's not right. 21st. >> I think it's the 21st. [1:13:51] » He was going to let us know which one those two dates. [1:13:53] » Yeah, I know. But now we've decided for him. Kind of like the Christmas party [1:13:56] and the >> Yeah. [1:13:59] So I I'll reach out to him tomorrow about the 21st. [1:14:04] » Okay. That's all I had. [1:14:07] » Anything else other before we get the fiscal officer? [1:14:11] » Fiscal officer. >> That's a motion for approval of payroll [1:14:14] and dispersements. >> So moved. [1:14:16] » Second vote. >> Yes. [1:14:18] » Yes. >> Anything else before we adjourn? [1:14:20] » Um I'm sorry. Wait. The public works commission. [1:14:24] » Yep. We >> the CFO and the CEO would be you and [1:14:31] » we don't need a motion at all. We just need to sign [1:14:33] » just need to sign it and that's just to allow them to have the money released [1:14:39] » this first that it's coming from the the grant. [1:14:45] This does not affect our our portion. >> We're still working. You know, being [1:14:51] that's >> there was a way to uh [1:14:57] » help leverage. >> Did we adjourn? [1:15:00] » Make a motion to adjurnn it. >> Second. [1:15:01] » Vote. >> Yes. [1:15:02] » Yes. >> Yes. [1:15:05] » Thank you. >> Not in your but [1:15:11] » thank you for my temporary water feature. [1:15:14] » I'm going to return. to get a lot of those fasia.
