[1:09] Liberty Village.
That is all a part of the city's ITEP
[1:13] project and pedestrian bridge. Um
ultimately
[1:18] uh the shared use path will connect uh
near the Polaris Crossing subdivision,
[1:24] where that path goes into Baker Lake,
and then connect into the path that the
[1:28] city constructed few years back on North
Peoria Street.
[1:32] Um at this time, the only plan going
south of Wenzel Road is to construct the
[1:37] shared use path. We aren't currently
extending Becker Drive north to Wenzel
[1:42] Road.
Um if and when that project uh comes to
[1:46] light, we'll certainly uh talk about
that at committee meetings and council
[1:50] meetings, but as it stands now, Becker
Drive is not being extended north.
[1:55] On the west side of 251, however,
we do have an agreement to construct a
[2:02] new road between Plaza Drive and North
Peoria Street. Um, it's likely that that
[2:07] construction may start next summer.
Um, if it's not next summer in 2027, it
[2:13] will certainly be under construction in
2028.
[2:16] Um, nonetheless, all the construction
activity that you see currently is
[2:20] related to the ITEP shared use path. Um,
that project will continue on into next
[2:27] spring and probably early summer before
the bridge is set and I'd expect summer
[2:33] to late summer completion for that
project. Um, we shared
[2:38] or should say reshared
um, a a map that we've presented on
[2:43] several occasions over past several
years when we've been talking about
[2:46] ITEP. Uh, that was shared by the clerk's
office, I believe, on the city website
[2:50] and it's also on the city's Facebook
page. Uh,
[2:53] and it shows the in red on that map
shows the project location for the
[2:57] shared use path that's currently under
construction.
[3:02] Um, highlights on that project. Uh, it's
a little over a $4 million project. $3
[3:07] million of that construction cost
is coming from a state ITEP grant.

and then um,
[3:17] that's about it. I don't know if there's
anything else you want me to cover,
[3:19] Mayor, on it in particular.

sidewalks going to connect down to them.

are connected to the path either through

So, that's why we scored fairly high or
[4:02] very high to receive the maximum grant
funding for the project.

as we can through the season.

the piers for the bridge itself will be

late spring early summer of next year

piers
[4:35] once it's arrived.

[4:38] just got discussed it earlier about uh
the people at Three Diamond was curious
[4:42] about getting a sidewalk that connects
and you want to explain to that for the
[4:47] record that we can't do that, right?

do it. Uh we wouldn't make a connection
[4:56] mid block. Um we'd try to avoid
specially on a street like Wenzel Road
[5:00] that's highly traveled. Uh we want any
street crossings at controlled
[5:04] intersections. So, whether they're stop
signs or stop lights.
[5:08] Um the city could look to
um improve the crossing either at
[5:13] Marquette Street or Marquette Road or uh
Progress Boulevard and extend some
[5:18] sidewalk along the north side of Wenzel
Road to that particular development, but
[5:24] we would not do a mid block to uh
crossing there. It's too dan- too
[5:28] dangerous.

[10:42] other bid, they would not entertain us
doing any of the work. And that came in
[10:47] uh a little over 1.2 million for that
particular
[10:50] uh job.
So, what I tried to do is to make kind
[10:54] of an apples-to-apples comparison to
make sure we loaded all the labor and
[10:57] all the other charges in there for that
purpose.
[11:00] Um but again, so 82,000 of that is um
employee labor. Um a portion of that is
[11:08] overtime. Um about um
what would it be?
[11:15] Uh 80 hours of overtime for four
employees, so about 320 hours of
[11:18] overtime for that 4-week period.
Um I mean, in total.

so,
[11:26] what we also looked at doing was this
year we'd also budgeted $350,000 to do
[11:31] the muffler on unit six. Um but without
a clear line of sight on how to
[11:37] finance the rest of the unit six
project, um I thought it was if you, you
[11:42] know, rack and stack the project so on
and so forth, um to reallocate the money
[11:47] from the muffler project um to and
combine that with the $600,000 from the
[11:55] um
original budget line item for the
[11:58] controls upgrade um to get this
um controls [clears throat] upgrade
[12:03] completed and at the same time leverage
it for a significant uh training
[12:09] opportunity for the maintenance
operators portion of the electric
[12:13] department.
