[0:18] We acknowledge that this land on which we are gathered today is part of the [0:21] ancestral land of the Chippewa, Ottawa, and Potawatomi peoples, referred to [0:26] collectively as Anishinaabe. It is through the connection of the [0:30] Anishinaabe with the spirit of land, water, and air that we recognize their [0:34] unique cultures, traditions, and values. Together as treaty people, we have a [0:38] shared responsibility to act with respect for the environment that [0:42] sustains all life, protecting the future for those generations to come.
