[29:38] I would like to officially call this meeting order. We're not having any regular scheduled council meeting, but we'll glad to see all of you faces to come out to see what we do in city hall. [29:56] Before we start, we want to open with a prayer. [30:00] All right, would you please stand reemorkation. [30:08] The Scripture says tonight, it's on the 1-21 here. I will lift up my eyes until the heels, and with comes my help, because all of my help comes from the Lord. He will not suffer that foot to be moved. He that keeping these shall leave a slumber and a sleep. The Lord is now keep on. The Lord is now shade upon that right hand. The song will not affect thee by day, another moon by night. The Lord will preserve thee. [30:35] He will preserve your soul, he will preserve your going out, and you're coming in from [30:40] this time for an even for evermore. [30:43] That is petition God tonight. [30:45] Father, we come to you tonight in the name of Jesus with a deeper sense of gratitude and appreciation [30:52] for all that you've done for us individually, as well as collectively. [30:57] I pray for mayor, relivers tonight, that you would allow your spiritual wisdom to rest [31:02] with Him in whatever decisions that will be rendered here tonight. [31:07] I live all of the Councilmen's that's present in the name of Jesus, and I pray for [31:12] your spirit to abide in all those who are attending this meeting tonight. [31:18] I thank you. [31:19] I praise you. [31:20] I honor you and I bless you that things will be done decent and in order. [31:26] I thank you in advance for what you are going to do in this meeting, through this meeting [31:30] And for this meeting here tonight, in Jesus' name, amen. [31:38] Thank you, Reverend Thomas. [31:44] First of all, we want to start. [31:48] I want to first of all again say thanks for everybody coming out. [31:51] I hate that we can't get everybody in the room at the same time. [31:56] What I would like for you to think about it. [31:59] Though I'm sure you all have like concerns, I'm sure I'm sure some of you have other concerns, [32:08] but whatever the concern is, feel free to bring you to the table to speak. [32:15] Now, we've got to be called to the size of the audience. [32:17] We need to get some order. [32:20] But I would like to do with those of you who, if you had a group, [32:24] if you could get say a leader out of the group, [32:26] to cast, because we're not going to have enough time to get here, but I mean, that's just a deal. [32:33] So, if anybody interview out here who represents a particular field or an attitude or item, anything that you want to discuss, [32:43] that represents who you are affiliated with, you know, get your hand up and we're trying to get some order as to how we recognize you. [32:55] Let me ask, come on, check, we do want to hear as many as you can, and we want to be [33:04] orderly. [33:05] We are going to be ordered. [33:06] Now, one thing that's going to take place, if anybody get out of hand, the police officer [33:10] will go to escort you out. [33:12] So this makes sure that we, you know, even though you feel as might come up, we just, [33:18] you know, we know how that. [33:21] Okay? [33:22] Okay. [33:24] Thank you. [33:24] So much. [33:26] Councillor. [33:42] Hello. [33:53] To the citizens and everybody in attendance tonight, I would like to thank you all for [33:59] coming on and joining us. [34:00] I did call the town hall meeting the night. [34:03] We traditionally have city council meetings every second and fourth Monday of the month. [34:07] However, we have not had, we had to cancel the day. [34:11] We've had an issue with council overall and we've had to cancel a lot of meetings recently. [34:17] or we have meetings where people just walk out of the meeting. [34:21] Again, we came here today, the title or the topic of this subject was, where do we go from here? [34:28] You know, it's a lot going on in Prairie View Prairie View was growing. [34:30] It's a lot of people here. This is the most people I've ever seen coming to city council meeting. [34:34] So, you know, Prairie View is growing. It's a lot that can be done and it's a lot that we're trying to do. [34:38] You have people that are out here that are fighting for you. You have genuine people that are here. [34:41] We show up every day that are fighting for everybody in the city. [34:45] We're not separating the students from the citizens. We're fighting for everybody's rights and we understand [34:50] Everybody wants to be here. We have we understand everybody has desire to want to be here [34:56] So again, we we fighting for your rights. And we want you to understand that [35:00] We would love to be able to to to to take action or do things that would help y'all and push y'all along [35:07] Unfortunately, we just haven't had that co-operation with the city government. I could say we've had two council members in particular [35:12] that have not attended the meetings or just walk out. [35:15] You have a Councilman right now who's in Austin, he lives in Austin. [35:21] If y'all read the email, that's who put that email up. [35:24] Again, understand that. [35:25] These people don't necessarily support your ideals, but at the same time they don't [35:31] come and talk to you. [35:32] They back door you and do stuff like that. [35:34] They go around you and circumvent you and do stuff like that. [35:37] So again, when everybody's gonna have a chance to come up, I would love to hear your ideas [35:41] whether it's in regards to the party or just in regards to everything and prayer. [35:44] Again, I know this party situation is taking over. It's unfortunate that how this has occurred [35:49] Again, I'm a former student of preview. I just graduated not too long ago [35:53] You know, and I'm still young [35:56] I appreciate which I'm doing. I like seeing y'all out there. I like seeing y'all have fun because every time I see it [36:01] I'm like that it wasn't ever this big when I was in school, so you know [36:04] I support y'all but at the same time we got to remember that we are here [36:12] some only for short time while others have been here for a long time so we got to respect [36:18] everybody that's here and we go as to the parties and like I said it's other issues [36:22] that I would initially came to talk about I wanted to talk about a lot of stuff as far as [36:26] going on personal business they don't want me to discuss city business up here which is why [36:30] they keep not having the meetings they don't want us to talk about nothing that actually addresses [36:34] anything of importance they wanted to be all surface issues and personal reasons that's why [36:39] don't come to the mean so please understand that note that no votes are going across we haven't [36:44] been able to do anything for you all and this has been a lot of initiatives push for y'all [36:48] as far as internships as far as money to go out for like the BLM and the folks who came [36:53] and wanted to put BLM industry we've tried to do a lot of that we tried to put money towards [36:58] student eventually try to put money towards student initiative we haven't had cooperation these two [37:03] seats have been empty they don't want to show up so we look for y'all to make a difference as far [37:08] that goes. Now, and we go as to the parties, I will say this. I support you. I support [37:14] you. I have an reporting. I don't think too many people are necessarily against the youth [37:19] having the party. However, we got to be responsible on both hands responsible and accountable. [37:24] No, I'm saying the big issue is luckily, you know, we haven't had too much as far as personal [37:29] safety, but this is a lot of issues I drive out here in all the rest. I talk to the citizens, [37:33] Trash pick up is probably the biggest issue for everybody that's really concerned about the parties and that's why you're here [37:39] I stick to this topic [37:40] Sunday morning when we go get up to go to church. I'll Sunday, Eastern [37:44] Still a bunch of trash out there at eight and nine o'clock. So while people are coming out to tend to the issue [37:49] What people are coming out to handle it you know traditionally everybody goes to church on Easter and everybody has to see that [37:55] so [37:57] That is a primary reason why you have this type of [38:01] action to which going on. You get what I'm saying. It's not that we want to be a [38:05] against y'all, but you get this type of reaction when we don't have that [38:13] type of cooperation. And so you know, we want to hear what y'all got to say. We want to [38:16] be able to feel feed from your ideas and reciprocate to where we just don't [38:21] cancel having parties. Or I'm not writing the email saying scratch all the [38:25] parties and all all the parties. Because please believe it's some people here [38:28] right now. They do not want you out of half parties. They do not support a lot of the stuff [38:32] that the students do. There are people that sitting in this room right with you right now amongst [38:37] you. Yeah, I said it like that. But I'm for real. There's people that amongst you that's really [38:42] against you. Now they are sitting up here and portrayed it to your friend. They are sitting [38:44] up here and portrayed it to your comfort. Now we're really going behind you. They're back doing [38:48] you as we say. So watch it. Pay attention. Make sure you keep your grass cut because the snake [38:53] This is out. [38:54] Bad touch? [38:56] Bad touch? [38:57] I'm serious. [38:58] Bad touch? [39:00] So when we say we don't want these people around, you've got to let these people know [39:03] we don't want you around. [39:05] We don't want your bad energy, we don't want your negative energy, and we want people [39:08] that represent support us. [39:09] So again, when you come up here, we're going to keep it limited on the time, don't try to [39:13] get to it. [39:13] We probably try to keep it under control, but you know whatever issue you want to talk about. [39:17] This is town hall. [39:18] So you all open to talk about whatever you want to talk about, but just remember this. [39:21] the people that care they care are here right now the people that want to hear y'all out [39:26] are here right now the people that don't care they show that you see that true colors [39:31] absent absent so just remember that just remember what I'm telling y'all it's going to come for a circle [39:38] so again if anybody want to talk we would ask to keep it orderly if y'all could maybe just do a line of [39:44] five one five out of time and after those five come to somebody else come and then y'all want to speak [39:49] We're going to try to get y'all at least three minutes is what we usually give everybody, so if y'all could keep it within three minutes, we would love to do that. [39:57] And we're not necessarily feeling questions right now. We just want y'all to be able to speak. [40:02] So if y'all do have questions, if we got some time, please ask them, I would love to address them. [40:08] That's how I can. [40:14] Three minutes. [40:46] Hello everybody, how y'all doing? [40:49] First, I want to thank everybody for coming out. I really appreciate the back up. [40:53] But I want to speak on behalf of the last time I was here when I came to a city council meeting [40:59] It was because they wanted us to have a permit to have a house party [41:03] I don't know if y'all were here back then but I had spoken on behalf of the party promoters because if we had to have a permit [41:10] This is how we got resolved the issue if we would have to have a permit to have a house party [41:14] Then my aunt and lives over there wherever somewhere in him state when all the green babies come over and this [41:20] man's gathering, she needs to have a permanent also. That's how we got to the bottom of that. [41:25] I don't know if some people were here for that, but I remember that because I didn't have a voice [41:28] and I had to write it down to somebody saying it for me. So, too, to back door off of what you [41:32] were saying about the trash or Easter Sunday, my promo team, we love Jesus. We went to church. [41:40] So, we said, you can ask my promo girl. I said clean up time for 12 o'clock because everybody [41:45] said church was in 930 and get them Tom running Houston, praise the Lord, take their pictures, [41:49] to get the Easter baskets and we was all hands on deck. [41:52] We had the whole field clean by three o'clock. [41:54] But nobody came back through the record [41:56] that the clean field. [41:58] I have the videos. [41:59] I have, we was out there burning trash this morning. [42:02] For everybody that think that we just don't care about the community [42:04] and we didn't care about the community. [42:06] We didn't have a clean to up in the first place. [42:07] We didn't tell job to do it. [42:09] And in the permit, it shows, with Mr. Boydkins, [42:12] the owner of the field, the field needs to be clean [42:14] by five o'clock the next day, which we did that [42:17] with two hours of spirit. [42:18] We was actually sitting outside having fun, chilling because it felt good outside. [42:22] So that's one thing. [42:24] Two, y'all, talk about the safety of the parties, all that, me and Rondo, up, police [42:29] security double, then they told us it still wasn't enough, we did a triple. [42:34] And anybody that's in the party perform business, y'all know security, police is not cheap. [42:39] At all, and we understand that we go to the college, cool, I've been college broke [42:44] before, I graduated, I don't know how I feel, $10 a lot of money. [42:47] But people think you know, y'all got all this money. I've heard people in the city say it all you promote [42:53] It's got all that money, but y'all don't want to do no for the community [42:56] I promised to Jesus Christ if it was no part is in prayer of you the crime rate will go up because they have nothing to do and [43:02] And I've been here before when we had no parties and and me and Rhundle had to come through and we bought out [43:08] You know me Rhundle engine we had to go and beg the fairgrounds to allow us to have a party because the crime rate was going up that bad [43:15] And that was what Sheriff Getry did for us in him state. [43:18] He went out and said, I understand what's going on. [43:21] I'm going to try to help you out of bed so I can't. [43:22] But the reason why him state is out of the question now [43:25] is because the fairgrounds is under construction, [43:27] which if y'all will go about it, y'all can see it. [43:29] It's all under construction. [43:30] The vote wasn't even at the fairgrounds this year. [43:33] Shout out to everybody when it's the vote. [43:36] And if you, I want to end with this or mine. [43:39] If you would give us a list of people who's running [43:41] that you know as for us, because you seem to be down the earth [43:45] and not above anybody. I've dealt with council people that just looking at us like oh y'all [43:49] kids y'all not gonna go vote anyway. But a little do y'all know my grandpa is from preview. [43:54] He grew up here, went here, did all that. The older people that still live here are scared. Now they [43:59] say they vote don't count because the students are taking over. So if us students come together [44:03] and do what we say we're gonna do with you show us the list of people that say they're gonna do [44:07] what they're gonna do, then we can run preview. And if we run preview, then it'll be ran the right way. [44:12] And that's all I got you. [44:36] You ready for me? [44:41] Get the gown. [44:42] Go ahead. [44:47] Thank you. [44:48] I want to say I appreciate the show of support from everybody here. [44:54] Two points. [44:55] I want to make maybe three. [44:56] Number one. [44:57] I want to correct Councilman Malcolm. [45:00] I want everybody to know that if three, if the other two councilmen were here tonight, we wouldn't be able to have this, because they have a law called open meetings. And if you're going to have all of your council members here, then you have to post this meeting and put it online, at least 72 hours before the meeting happens, if you don't do that, you're breaking the law. [45:27] So there's no way that all four council members in the mayor could be here tonight and still have a meeting. [45:36] They would make everybody go home and we wouldn't have a meeting. [45:39] So I want to make that it's a law that you can't do that. [45:44] And that's why somebody had to decide who was going to be here and who was not going to be here. [45:50] So since Malcolm Councilman Jackson called the meeting, it was important for him to be here. [45:56] But they also had to decide which two council people couldn't be here tonight because it's against the law [46:02] I just wanted to make that clear [46:04] also [46:06] Look in the state statute. It's called open listen everybody if you Google Texas open meetings act [46:15] Okay, give what you'll see [46:22] Thank [46:22] If you Google Texas Open Meetings Act, you'll find that there's a law that says, [46:29] anytime you have all of your council meeting members together in one place talking about [46:35] city business, you have to have that posted as a meeting. It has to be posted out front [46:42] where we normally post meetings and it has to be posted online. If that's not done, it's called an [46:47] legal meeting. So that's why only two council people could be here at one time. [46:55] Secondly, the party issue is about safety. I've talked to the police chief. I've talked [47:02] to people in the county law enforcement and everybody's concerned about your safety and [47:13] They were telling me that if something happens to someone where the road goes around the post office, [47:19] they were telling me that cars were parked on both sides. [47:22] And if an ambulance or a fire truck has to get to that site, it's difficult for them to get [47:28] through those cars at a parking. [47:31] So it needs, there needs to be, you all need to get together and have, like, focus group meeting [47:38] to see how what you can do to make it safe because the police are concerned about something [47:46] happening to you or some of your friends. And then your parents will come and say, well, why [47:52] wasn't the police chief there? Why wasn't the ambulance there able to get there? So it's really [47:57] a concern about safety. And I'm sure if you can sit down get a representative focus group [48:04] to sit down with our policemen and work through the details. [48:10] There gotta be some details that you have to work through [48:12] in order for it to be safe. [48:14] So when you have parties like this, [48:17] your parents can know that you are safe in that environment [48:22] and it won't be a problem. [48:24] So those are the two things that I wanted to mention. [48:27] The issue about the parties is all about safety [48:29] for you, if my son and my grandson, or a ceiling college, I would be concerned too. [48:37] Like this young man said he was able to work out some detail, logistics, with the county, [48:44] for the party, and all you have to do is sit down with the police chief here [48:49] and get a team together, six or seven people, and sit down and work out [48:54] how we're going to have these parties, and what kind of safety details you're going to have. [48:59] And the other thing is, look up things up, open, well, I was interrupted a couple of times. [49:08] Okay, thank you. [49:10] Okay, thank you. [49:11] And work out the, no, look up the open meetings at. [49:18] And there is any time you have, like I said, you can't have all the council members here. [49:25] In one space at one time without giving a 72 hour notice, thank you. [49:32] Thank you. [49:32] Thank you, Dr. Brown. [49:36] Oh although you [49:42] turned me down. [49:45] Tested one, Dr. Brown. [49:48] The Dr. Brown was right, that there would be a problem. [49:52] I don't think Councilman Jackson was talking about the town hall meeting. [49:56] He was just simply talking about the city council meeting. [50:00] That's why we need those people to show up at is to see the cow. [50:06] Not the town hall meeting, the town hall meeting is designed just for what we're doing now. [50:14] But we need them to come to the council meeting again. [50:19] This is the people that you voted in whether you voted or not. [50:25] these are the people that you voted in. If you did vote, you voted in me. If you didn't vote, you voted in me. [50:33] So again, Councilman Jackson wasn't speaking on, I don't believe now. I don't want to take in the words out of his mouth. [51:46] What's your name? [51:47] What's your name? [51:48] Rondo, that's my name. [51:49] Mr. Rondo, where are your friends? [51:52] My name is, school. [51:53] So, I'm gonna say this. [51:56] I play a big part in this whole party stuff, this whole event stuff, whichever way you want to call it. [52:04] And from what I'm getting from everything I'm told is, I feel like y'all know we're about safety. [52:09] I feel like police know we're about safety, let me tell you why. [52:12] Granted, everybody's persona is safety. [52:15] I have 100 girls on my promoting, 100. [52:20] And people are complaining to us about not picking up trash at eight in the morning. [52:23] So that means they want us to do it that night after part out. I was told to comment that you need to start picking up trash that night at a party [52:30] I have a hundred girls once again. We help me [52:33] If we have let's say 1500 people there [52:36] 1600 1700 [52:37] Don't even count two thousand you want a hundred girls [52:41] Out there at night time going up and down the street [52:45] At three in a morning tour in the morning couldn't have this whole thing [52:49] You want them clean up everything and we got guys out here when we [52:53] I don't know, rap in success, let's be realistic. [52:56] You got people trying to kidnap with me. [52:57] These girls are scared sometimes because it was a weird [53:00] if I'm being honest. [53:02] And you know who responsible them? [53:04] When them girls hungry, I feed them. [53:06] When they need some I take her. [53:07] When they tire, I bust it, I go change it. [53:09] It's stuff in their nature. [53:10] So that's the number one right there. [53:12] We tell them about trash. [53:13] We tell them about, I'm aware about safety. [53:16] Two, people trying to make it seem like we've had anything [53:19] go down at any event that I've ever ever ever thrown. I've had a meeting with chief. I've had a [53:25] meeting with Lieutenant Sergeant anybody. They know my face in this building. They give me a [53:30] bare minimum. Hey, we need you to have 10 police officers there. I'm doubling up in 20 there. [53:35] You asked me and I'm antiquity. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody. Has done that. Nobody is [53:43] willing to pay the money to do that. We're talking about experience for them. We're talking [53:46] people like you said Blossomstein, which had a whole function Sunday with 500 people [53:50] there, but we still had 23 offices out there on a Sunday. So I'm saying I [53:55] care I'm one of my girls and picking up trash. We're gonna pick up the trash [53:59] with God. It's trash gonna get done. We have 5, 6, 7, maybe vence lined up for this [54:03] whole semester. Why don't nobody take pictures when the trash is clean? Why don't [54:08] nobody do it before and after? Because in the evening I got that I seen, [54:16] I [54:16] why they're picking up trash. So it's not any 11 o'clock. At any 11 o'clock. [54:23] Church of start at 830. So it's either you want me to put my girls out here at a middle night [54:29] at 3 in the morning with with big old paper bags and gloves. So because we out there at [54:34] I don't have two hours picking up. Put them out there and then on top of that to go to the second [54:38] doors. We talk about safety with cars. We tell every single person who bring they call [54:43] Parking the grass, don't walk on a median, [54:46] park in the grass, so you're not even on the street. [54:48] So the ambulance has a way to get up and down [54:50] every single time. [54:51] We have a clear driveway entry. [54:53] All of them is covered. [54:54] So when it comes to logistics, [54:55] can you nobody tell me about logistics? [54:57] Because I'm an logistics person. [54:59] And I held it as to the tea every single time. [55:01] So I actually frustrated me that we even in here [55:03] talking about safety and trash pick up [55:05] when you want my girls at their three in the morning. [55:07] Because somebody got to be responsible for that. [55:08] And my mom was called my phone. [55:10] They don't call you. [55:11] They talk to me. [55:12] So I'm I'm holding back some of the words I want to say so I'm gonna just say I [55:18] find a kind of foul [55:20] They were about trash when safety's what the peak is concerned [55:24] That's that's all I'm gonna say cuz I don't want to [55:27] Tweak out, but I'm gonna just leave it at that that's all I have to [55:40] say [55:40] Question there my name is James [55:43] Where does George James? Mr. James. Okay. All right. First of all, the evening [55:51] I want to talk about every stipulation that was put in front of us. [56:00] So every time a stipulation come, we don't, we don't show it down, we don't argue we agree [56:07] to it. [56:08] When they say get insurance, we get insurance. [56:11] When they say get security, we get security, when they say get police, we get police. [56:15] When they say pick up the trash, we get up, we go pick up the trash, the next day. [56:21] It's never been a note to nothing day, being presented to us. [56:25] So the problem is, they try to cut us off from doing this stuff. [56:31] And we never say no, we listen. [56:35] So when it comes to a problem, it comes from, it's always come from the citizens. [56:43] and we don't we don't mine picking up we don't mine going up the next day I [56:48] get a call hey y'all forgot to pick up I get a right thing in there and I [56:52] go pick it up it's never no issue me in the science I got up this morning and we [56:57] went to pick up trash on the side of the street because you know we made we [57:01] made forgot some spots but we still went up and we went to pick it up I [57:06] want the citizens to know that we're citizens too we go to the college we live [57:11] here. And if somebody put trash in my yard, of course I want to pick it up. So we don't [57:18] have a problem with cleaning up the trash. It's never been a problem with going to pick up [57:23] the trash. [57:26] The problem is with us is it's kind of like you're going to tell on us and we [57:32] are already doing it. So I think the problem that we kind of want to address is what's the [57:40] problem with us doing parties. What's the real problem with us doing parties? [57:47] That, that, that, that's kind of what we, we're trying to find out. [57:50] Is it really the trash? [57:54] Is it really the trash? Or y'all just don't want us to have fun because I, I mean, I, I think everybody hear it. [58:00] Young, oh, I'm pretty sure everybody went to a party. [58:05] I'm pretty sure everybody went to the club. [58:07] I'm pretty sure everybody hit on had a drink. So what, what's really the problem? That's, that's kind of what we trying to figure out. [58:13] Because we ain't we we have never said no to anything that being presented to us [58:20] So that's a lot. That's all I just want to ask [58:34] you right there. [58:44] Oh, everybody [58:46] My name is Toby of worries. I leave here in Peruvia, Texas [58:52] Originally came from Nigeria when I was 19 right about your ages [58:58] Actually schooled in a place called University of Oklahoma [59:02] in number of songs. We had about 5,000 people in the town at the time. [59:09] Right now I'm a 42-year-old man. [59:12] I'm married, and I have four children. It's one of my daughters right there. [59:17] My issue right now is not with the party. Like I said, I did it just like you or did. [59:24] But I want you to take a call to me saying something. [59:27] Part is not all life is about. You need this social [59:32] having news to get things out of you, understandably, please do it. I appreciate your [59:38] old promoters, the level of integrity you guys have shared right now tonight. I didn't [59:44] know about no party, I came for City Council. I am not preview to that side of things, right? [59:51] I only came for City Council, and then to see you guys turn off, it was all right, great. [59:54] I'm going to have a good one tonight, but in our fun it is about parties and try. [1:00:02] The reason, so during my time we parted in a club, we didn't do it outside in the open, even in Oklahoma. [1:00:11] It's really cold out there, too. But some of the issues you face to it is because Perv is not developed in no way to have a venue to be able to do stuff like this. [1:00:23] One of the reasons why I show up here is because, so I said I'm 42, if you take this [1:00:28] demographic of purview, you notice that people might hate me, I'm not in this city. [1:00:35] They've grown here, and they've moved away, right? [1:00:38] You could say the same thing about me too, I told you my history, I came from Nigeria, I moved [1:00:41] away. [1:00:42] But I go back home every year, go back to Nigeria every year, God help, now his, [1:00:52] I want my [1:00:53] I have twin boys that are two years old, a 7-year old, and a 14, now 15, excuse me, there. [1:01:04] I want them to be proud that they grew up in Peruvia. [1:01:09] I moved them all the way from Houston to World of Sugarland Texas out here, [1:01:13] and we did this doing COVID during the whole Black Lives Matter movement. [1:01:18] I want to say space where my kids could be like, you know what, I see my brother, I see my uncle, I see this, and how do you need to hear? [1:01:29] The dysfunction in city council, that you guys are experiencing, talking about council members not coming in. [1:01:36] It's been going over months now. [1:01:38] We do need a lawyer, we do need the city planner, we need a city manager, we need a city engineer back. [1:01:48] on track so we can start doing stuff or fortunately that has not been the case now [1:01:55] I'm no more for politics, but I'm also no one to stand by and watch things decayed [1:02:02] Either we all need to leave a life of impact and I think that's what you guys are trying to do impact the life of this students [1:02:07] So they have an experience when they get out of here to say look actually when to prove you in it [1:02:14] I see all of this to say this. I'm running for city council [1:02:18] and I'm running for position two. I'm glad that you guys are here. I'm open to [1:02:23] listening to all what you said, more or less than something like I said, your life [1:02:28] is not just about parties. We're brought to you in the first place was your intellectual [1:02:33] capacity, their ability to build it. That's going to help put some paycheck into [1:02:38] your pockets. Guys, I suffered through my college years. I paid my way to [1:02:43] call it plain international fees. I got kicked out of school twice. What that of physics [1:02:49] example, by two police officers, because I didn't have money to pay for school. But I still [1:02:55] graduated with a personal engineering degree. I currently work right now for an energy [1:03:00] company. I can work anywhere in the world. Now understand what I'm trying to say to you. [1:03:05] Your intellectual capacity matters a lot. Don't make it all about parties. Right? Build this such [1:03:12] that anywhere in the world where you go to, [1:03:15] you can have an impact. [1:03:17] That's why you're praying since you're here in the first place. [1:03:20] I get it. [1:03:21] You still need that avenue to get out as well. [1:03:24] Now, if you're building your intellectual capacity, [1:03:27] we pray daily on and pass the Reverend praying [1:03:29] and you say it in Jesus' name. [1:03:31] And I heard with suddenly everybody [1:03:33] said, Amen, you have a social life as well. [1:03:36] You have a spiritual life as well. [1:03:38] Take care of that part of yourself. [1:03:40] Without you, you will not get the rational [1:03:42] to anything else you're doing in life, you'll be going back and forth and nothing will make sense. [1:03:48] You need some level of physical health. [1:03:53] Now, let me tell you something, if you're sick right now, your toes hurt, would you be able [1:03:57] to sit right now or say you have a hemorrhoid? [1:03:59] How would you sit right now? [1:04:02] Your physical health matters. [1:04:05] What you eat, what you drink, I know what you're talking about drinking, I'm not mad [1:04:10] drinking, right? What you eat, what you drink, how much rest you get in matters. You better [1:04:17] be able to exercise as well, right? You need, I've talked about your physical, your spiritual, [1:04:25] your intellectual. All of these things are things that you do for yourself. That will help you [1:04:30] inside. My five minutes is up and I gotta go. Thank you, sir. [1:04:48] I'm going to keep it real short and sweet because, you know, it's been a long night, I guess. [1:04:55] But I know you all can answer questions, like these are rhetorical questions. [1:04:58] Have you all fixed the water issue at Bookside and Peter Hill yet? [1:05:03] Okay. [1:05:03] We can answer questions. [1:05:05] We can answer questions. [1:05:06] Oh, okay, go ahead. [1:05:08] Can you answer that question from me? [1:05:09] What was your question? [1:05:09] Have you guys resolved the water issue in Brookside or Penta Hill? [1:05:13] The Pikes Bustin? [1:05:15] It's from it. [1:05:16] Well, what's happening with that is that it's probably on and just, you know, by [1:05:21] you bringing the issue up tonight, we can check into it. [1:05:25] Again, we need the council to be here in order to make a decision as to how the rules [1:05:36] will affect Panther Hill and the other part of the unit. Brooks side. So again, even though [1:05:46] you're talking tonight, we're going to write it down. I'm writing it down as you speak. [1:05:50] And we will address that in some fashion, another with the people that we do have. And hopefully [1:05:55] we can get that straight now for you. Okay. Well, that problem has been going on since my freshman year. [1:06:01] I'm a junior now. So I do hope that you all write it down and y'all do get some work done with [1:06:04] But have y'all worked on getting fresh produce and meat here for the students and the [1:06:09] citizens of Prairieview? [1:06:13] Well, again, it's like I was telling you about, this administration hadn't been here. [1:06:20] When I say this administration myself, Mayor Lebritt and Councilman Jackson hadn't been [1:06:26] here long enough to really get anything done. [1:06:29] There have been previous administrations that should have done that already, you know, and this is where we are now, and this is the reason why I said what the tonight meeting was said where do we go from here? [1:06:44] We need y'all to continue to put y'all's input, come to these council meetings, and hold these [1:06:51] city officials accountable for their actions. [1:06:56] There are things that you as citizens can do and should do to hold your council and your leaders [1:07:08] you know, holy, holy leaders accountable. So again, this is something that should have been happening. [1:07:14] I mean, you see the signs that they're putting up, out there now, those people have been on the council. I don't have mine up yet. [1:07:22] But they've been on the council. I mean, again. [1:07:25] Okay. [1:07:26] So I asked those questions because there's a lot bigger problems in preview of Texas and while the county [1:07:33] than us leaving three pieces of trash on the field after party. [1:07:40] All of our promoters, all of our party people, [1:07:43] they make sure they wear safe, they make sure we have a good time, [1:07:46] they make sure we go home at night. [1:07:48] And for y'all, when I think y'all, it's probably not y'all specifically, [1:07:52] but whoever wrote that email, I heard he was at the party. [1:07:56] That's what the street saying. [1:07:58] So for you to go and back door, things like that is insane. [1:08:04] When there's, when there's bigger problems at hand, [1:08:08] y'all, before the party started, I think the party started at 10. [1:08:11] It was torn at 9.30. I'm not, nine o'clock. [1:08:15] And so it's, y'all are saying it's a safety issue, so this issue is the trash issue. [1:08:19] But honestly, it has to be something more than that, and we want to know what it is. [1:08:23] Because we want to have a good time. We want to be safe. [1:08:25] We want to make sure y'all are okay as well, because again, we all live here. [1:08:29] So, with that being said, I'm leaving like that. [1:08:31] But we do want to answer so that we all could come to want to bring it and be able to live cause he's a good thing. [1:08:37] Right. That. Hello, ma'am. [1:08:39] Did you hit that button? [1:08:41] But, and I do want to say this before you leave, ma'am, [1:08:44] that myself as well as the mayor and councilmember Jacksonville personally, [1:08:49] give what the chief of police tomorrow to find out what is the problem, [1:08:53] because it, I mean, as far as if it's just a trash, then we don't have a problem. [1:08:59] You know, [1:09:04] let me, let me, excuse me, first of all, let me reintroduce myself again, I am [1:09:17] mayor lever, Ron lever, [1:09:21] well how many, how many, I see, I saw one, you said you a junior, [1:09:25] in sophomores, in your whole hands, sophomores, in other juniors, oh wow let me [1:09:34] several of you vote for me last let me say this to you say this to the audience this [1:09:43] is my third time being mere freedom and I'm saying this we work real hard to be [1:09:52] back to be back here to win to be mayor again and I didn't work hard to be [1:09:58] mayor again to be sitting here talking to you just to be talking. There are a lot [1:10:04] of things that need to be corrected and I invite anybody historically, honestly, [1:10:13] historically, meaning way back to check my record. Do some research, some [1:10:18] Michael, Councilor Jackson said, do your homework, check my records, Google run, and find out what you find in terms of my record and how we spent money and did things back in the day. [1:10:36] I go back as far as when I was, maybe we didn't even have a post office in the city of Paris. [1:10:41] I mean, I could go way back, way back when, whether the barber shop is on 10.98, you know what? [1:10:49] The barber shop is, that would see the hall when I was mayor, at one room. [1:10:56] So, so I can go way back. [1:10:59] And I can also think about some of the things that are going on now. [1:11:03] And I have been to, I've been to a few of the parties. [1:11:07] because I got billboards where students supported me and I appreciate it and [1:11:13] I came to the party because I went to school to let you know that I had a [1:11:18] field for what you were doing and I understood. I taught that period for [1:11:24] 16 years before I retired. A real close association with students when I [1:11:32] work that for you. So I could go back and do a lot of history. And like I said, I could [1:11:39] tell you a lot of things, but right now I have even when I was not mayor. I didn't miss [1:11:47] many meetings. I see a game. Even when I was not elected, standing at the pole, you're trying [1:11:53] to understand why we do things the way we do. One of the things that I had to meeting with [1:11:59] chief today and being concerned. I told the chief, this is the application. This is the application. [1:12:13] There's needed to be filled out in order to have a party. [1:12:19] Well, guess what? After talking with the chief today. [1:12:23] And I said very clearly, we are going back, this application has to be revised. [1:12:28] to be very good. It has to be revised. I mean, I had no [1:12:32] I till and even some of the, at some point, you said that [1:12:37] were eight. Somebody told me were eight parts of the night. [1:12:43] Well, that, I felt sorry last week. I'm sorry. I didn't mean [1:12:45] a loud. No, and no, oh, week. I was there. [1:12:52] Then the whole week, I'm sorry. But in a week. In a week, [1:12:57] in the whole week, I don't remember saying eight of these, but my name is all here, so I [1:13:04] something happened between those have a signature for the mayor, but I'm just saying eight [1:13:10] sheets, so some kind of where you all got about me, some kind of where. But anyway, with [1:13:15] that said, with that said, there are some changes. I'm going to have to be made. You mentioned [1:13:24] we talk about safety, and definitely safety is an issue, we want everybody to be safe. [1:13:32] But at the same time, I think that the government that we are the government and body, you [1:13:37] are in the city of review, it's up to us to have a major role in protecting your livelihood [1:13:44] and protecting you. [1:13:46] And we have to do a better job, we can all do a better job, I can do a better job. [1:13:51] One thing about it is a lot of it has to do with communication and when we don't communicate. [1:13:58] I don't know what you're thinking, you don't know what I'm thinking. [1:14:02] We don't know what we've heard it. [1:14:04] We try to have a meeting. [1:14:06] Sometimes even I got this notice. [1:14:09] I had no idea that I had an opportunity to speak with to communicate with council Alexander. [1:14:17] He made it clear that he was not going to be at the meeting. [1:14:20] He said, he won't let us say he won't be able to meet it, but I'm concerned, I'm concerned. [1:14:31] And so I have a Mr. Me, I don't think I've missed a meeting, but if, and as Councilman Jackson said, we get paid. [1:14:40] You know, everybody up here gets a stipend. So I've been reading the letter to the Secretary and said, if we don't show up, we shouldn't get a stipend. [1:14:50] why should we be paid tax pay as money and we don't participate? [1:14:57] I don't even want to download. [1:15:00] If even if something that council Jackson accounts for a period, council, Alexander, councilwoman, when [1:15:08] the wind did not agree with me, let's debate. Let's let the citizens see what she or he says, [1:15:16] see what I say, let's debate the issue, and let's discuss it. Because often times, just like [1:15:22] I say, even with this, I didn't realize that some of the things that were not on here until today. [1:15:29] So we have to come together with our minds, to find out why or why not, or why should we [1:15:36] should add something, or why should we should detract, to take something away. [1:15:41] We should do that. [1:15:43] We should agree, you hear this all the time. [1:15:46] We should come together to, in some case, to agree to disagree. [1:15:51] And it doesn't mean there's not necessary negative, but it's understanding. [1:15:56] That's where we get the lack of understanding. We don't understand each other in the [1:16:00] many cases. We have our own ways of doing things. And a lot of that's based on [1:16:05] the experience that you have had. What about the experience that I've had in [1:16:09] certain things? Maybe you found understand what I've experienced that I've had. You [1:16:14] don't understand a lot more. I came to, as I said, I came to Caribbean 73. [1:16:24] And I [1:16:25] I went out and got students in the architect department to design the house that I live [1:16:30] in right now. [1:16:32] That's how much I thought about the students in the skills in which you have learned. [1:16:38] You know, let's put it this easy to talk. [1:16:41] Let's talk. [1:16:42] Let's prove. [1:16:43] Let's do something. [1:16:44] Don't talk about it. [1:16:46] So, show it. [1:16:48] So, I say that to anybody and I encourage you to do it. [1:16:52] But the same thing, as I said, we are taking notes, I'm taking the median, so I'll be able [1:17:00] to go back over because I want to make sure I understand and hear you, hear your voice [1:17:05] and that's why I said, give it name so that I can put that width with the voice. [1:17:11] So is it the next? [1:17:21] I [1:17:28] don't even know how I've been all in y'all face, I'd be on the yard, you can see me some [1:17:34] of y'all, you can recognize me, I'd have been all in your face telling you the issues. [1:17:38] A lot of these issues, like what Ms. Fernandez was asking about about the water, has [1:17:41] been happening since she's been out a junior, and has been happening a few years from now. [1:17:45] You guys take the opportunity, you have some of the same people that were in position now, [1:17:49] making those decisions to build Panther Hill in a floodplain. [1:17:53] Panther Hill was built in the floodplain. [1:17:54] Found here was built in the floodplain. [1:17:56] These were properties and apartment complexes [1:18:00] that are just now being zoned to be apartment complexes. [1:18:04] They've been up five years. [1:18:05] Yet you ask councilman Jackson who'd been in office three months to approve it. [1:18:09] I know nothing about it, but I'm supposed to approve it. [1:18:11] What I do know is, you had a plumbing was bad. [1:18:14] First week Panther Hill was on the news. [1:18:16] First week it opened. [1:18:17] It was on the news because the plumbing was bad. [1:18:18] toilet and flesh and it was just staring but you have certain people people right now that are still trying to be in position [1:18:23] that are running for city council right now you got to pay attention watch these folks [1:18:28] watch them [1:18:29] I'm telling you because they put y'all in that situation they don't want where your water coming down why are you taking the shower and the roof come out [1:18:34] they don't want where you get electrocuted when you tap it on the shower the shower here they'm the same people [1:18:39] these are the same people that put y'all in these situations with inadequate living [1:18:45] I'm serious, I'm there serious. [1:18:48] These are the same people that put y'all in that inadequate living. [1:18:51] So y'all got to make sure y'all make sure y'all go ask questions, ask everybody questions, [1:18:57] and realize that these aren't just problems, these are problems that we've come into. [1:19:01] And instead of running in hard, we're going to fight them straight ahead. [1:19:03] That's why we like y'all support, we like y'all being here, because we're going to fight [1:19:06] them straight ahead. [1:19:07] A lot of the issue is people have just been taken, they don't want to address the issues, [1:19:11] because I got to play both sides of the fence. [1:19:12] I got to look make myself look good on one side make myself look good on another with a factor of matter [1:19:17] I'm gonna be a friend with you now if you don't like me being a friend with you, you know, that's tough [1:19:21] But I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm not gonna play you. I'm not gonna manipulate you [1:19:25] I'm not gonna sit up here and say our prime is this and I bring this and I'm gonna bring this to the city and do this [1:19:30] Yet and steal I miss managing money [1:19:32] Yet and steal I take the money that's supposed to go to rolls the charge drive on and take it and do some meals [1:19:37] You give what I'm saying yet and steal [1:19:40] I'm the reason why they build in this bad plumbing on all of these properties. [1:19:44] All these apartment complexes. [1:19:46] Brixide is crummy. [1:19:47] If you go to Brixide, it is crummy. [1:19:50] The standards should be a lot better. [1:19:52] How do we allow that? [1:19:53] Why do we allow that? [1:19:54] You got people sitting in these same seats, been here five, six, seven, eight, nine years [1:19:58] that ain't did nothing. [1:20:00] But now they want to get up and walk out now, acting like they care about you. [1:20:04] They didn't want to provide when the folks was out there in the co, in the February [1:20:07] free is using port of parties because we ain't provided sewage in water. Go over, if they look [1:20:11] up pre, we got a whole neighborhood in pre of you with no sewage, no water. And if you got about [1:20:15] 50 families living over there, but you got some of the same people sitting right here that walk out [1:20:20] when we try to help them, but they didn't want to do nothing to help them. So to the joy show [1:20:24] consumers for now does ask the people that was here. They're still here. They may not be here today. [1:20:30] Some more, but ask the people that was here and ask the people that was present. Why is it like this? [1:20:35] And why should we keep you here? You didn't do nothing before. You ain't did nothing all this time [1:20:40] But you want to walk now? You want to act like you cared now? Who you really care about? [1:20:45] The people of yourself because they just saving they self that's all it is. So understand that my bad man [1:20:50] For cutting you know your time. You still got your time. Go here. We want to hear what you saying [1:20:56] hello. Hello. Don't hear me. All right [1:21:01] My name is William McPhil Jr. This is my first year at PV [1:21:06] I'm from Arneson, Texas, which is a suburb. [1:21:08] So moving out here has really been a lot of adjusting [1:21:11] because, you know, I'm from the city, and it's really like the country out here. [1:21:16] And being here, I've noticed that, you know, we don't have a lot of things. [1:21:22] And I think there needs to be understanding on both parts, like, yes, if a safety is concerned, [1:21:27] like, that's something that we can talk about. [1:21:31] But the city of PV, like there, you know, we're part of the field and we're not complaining. [1:21:35] And so it's like we really don't have much to go off of so it's like you're complaining about [1:21:41] Stuff that I feel like is the city's fault like this. It's not PV students fault that we're partying in the field like we [1:21:49] You know, so so [1:21:51] These are just these are the consequences that come with [1:21:55] Prairie if you're not giving the student and then we are citizens of purview like we do as college students [1:22:01] We do have a voice in the city of Purdue and if the older generation is not taking care of us [1:22:06] We have the people we have the population to take care of ourselves and we have and I'm saying [1:22:11] We have a history of pv alumni running for positions, but as you know, we can see those students are not helping us as [1:22:19] We were not getting to help that we need so [1:22:22] I'm currently I'm the new elect for VP of external affairs and so I want to bring awareness to all of this and I was going to do a next year because there wasn't really [1:22:30] a strong push when I come to the means, you know, there's not that many students here. So I was going to wait until next year to bring up and adjust all these issues, but [1:22:37] the council people, the council members have [1:22:40] just wanted to start this fight early. And so this is an issue that [1:22:45] correct me if I'm wrong, but elections are the 24th, right? [1:22:51] Okay, and so these are the kind of rules, these are the kind of issues that they want to [1:22:57] focus on when they're in office. So what we need to do is get them out of office and put people in there that [1:23:02] align with our ideologies and other issues that we want. So with that, that's all I want to say. [1:23:11] Oh, yeah, that's all I want to say for now. [1:23:22] Thank you. [1:23:23] Hey, stay tuned for me, Roma. [1:23:29] Roma. [1:23:30] I know that you guys are all voicing concerns today and we definitely have issues. [1:23:35] And we have to understand as a city of Peruv, we have issues that have been clear, right? [1:23:40] And we know that stuff is still not getting fixed. [1:23:42] So if it's still not happening and some of these students in this room can tell you I've say some of these students at a burning building [1:23:49] I've come when these students have been crashed over turned in the water in the lake and [1:23:55] We still don't have the resources that we need for the city [1:23:59] So I understand that everyone's voice in their concerns and that's great. I want concerns to continue to be voice [1:24:04] But let's start giving you some solutions [1:24:07] The solutions that I'm going to start giving you are primarily to the parties today [1:24:10] Okay, because that's why this whole meeting was really convenient was over parties. So first solution. [1:24:26] So, [1:24:33] so [1:24:33] Alright, now he's right, he's correct. I mean, he's an order. He's an order to give all right solution. [1:24:38] We can give solutions. I'm not telling you to enact these solutions, but we're going to provide solutions if we want to raise key to these problems. [1:24:45] I'll provide them, okay? [1:24:46] some of these permit fees for these parties. We talk about safety. I've met with the party promoters all in this room raise your hand. [1:24:54] I've met with all of these party promoters and we've all had conversations. We all care about the safety of these students. [1:25:01] When we look at the city, the city police department has had officers on these streets every single night that these parties have taken place [1:25:08] and they have done everything that they can to keep these students safe. But we also need to start looking at the city police department. [1:25:13] some of these permit fees need to start being propagated and funded to the police department's fiscal budget [1:25:20] prior to them creating that budget. [1:25:23] Of course, sure. [1:25:25] Permit fees? [1:25:27] How much do you have for you? [1:25:29] Currently, the permit fee is $50. [1:25:32] I believe. [1:25:32] Okay, let me say something alone that I'm just saying this, and I don't want to make a quick [1:25:37] you all. [1:25:39] But $50 for a permit, do you know what? [1:25:42] Roller County with the City of Walleterred for a permit, the City of Himset, the City of Walleter County, I mean even with Waller County charge. [1:25:51] This is why I say that in order for us to do better, we need you, we're going to have to do better. [1:25:57] But if you have to dollars, then you're going to do it. [1:26:00] Yes, sir, so we've spoken about that, right? [1:26:02] We've educated ourselves on what are the nearby permitting fees. [1:26:06] Also, we've looked at the city's budget, okay? [1:26:08] for these officers to work over time on these streets and the approximate amount of these [1:26:14] officers is little to the probably what you think it is and that's okay we're willing [1:26:20] to work with the city on that. Our next key solution part B to that would be all these [1:26:24] party promoters having close meetings with city officials and discussing what is it that [1:26:30] these permit fee should be but key having these permit fees going to our police departments [1:26:37] Funding so that they can provide the key personnel for these parties every night that we've had parties out here in the city [1:26:43] They're out there doing everything that they can [1:26:45] We have had no issues officers that are in this room that are outside in the room the issues that they have or issues that are happening out the city [1:26:52] Or in the city outside of the party not what's going on in the party [1:26:57] So let's make sure that we're funding them appropriately and that we're helping them [1:27:01] So that they can keep us safe and keep the rest of the citizen safe next solution [1:27:06] clean up times I'd like to address that sure you know because you tell me something that [1:27:12] I'm gonna and I'm gonna see the councilman. I didn't know that the police department [1:27:16] wasn't funded correctly and if that's a problem that needs to be addressed with the [1:27:21] chief of police to let him know because he's the one that makes the budget up. That is okay [1:27:26] but the chief of police only has so much say we're the citizens we all pay taxes in this [1:27:31] Yeah, but that's that's where his say would come back to the council and we would make the decision on how much money [1:27:38] If he say he need a $100, I'm just use a hundred dollars for sure if he says he needs a hundred dollars for the parties and [1:27:45] He brought in that back to the cow. I haven't seen anything from him that says that he needs more funding [1:27:50] I don't know where you get your information from and all you a police house negative. Okay, so I don't know [1:27:57] I don't know where you get information from, but I haven't seen anything come from the chief as requested in the additional funding. [1:28:06] In fact, I've talked to the chief about even getting a program put in place so that if we did have some some emergencies to deal with, that we would be prepared. [1:28:20] But you know, even getting them ready, yo, I haven't heard it back from him yet. [1:28:23] But I'm saying to you, to you, that is not true because once he's bringing something [1:28:31] before the council and these council members have come up here and meet, they and that can [1:28:36] be taken care. [1:28:37] It's not a big deal. [1:28:39] So I'm not going to stay on that all day long, that that's something for another city council [1:28:43] meeting. [1:28:44] I'm here to bring solutions. [1:28:46] But to one of that, we have one police chief. [1:28:48] one police chief can only add so much. We got 12,000 students on this campus. Okay, so with 12,000 students and their concerns, we can bring solutions to help this police department and make sure that they're funded appropriately. [1:29:01] And I'm almost finished, Mr. Mayor. If we look at all the nearby surrounding municipalities in this county, city of purview police department is the most underfunded police department. They have the least amount of equipment and they have the least amount of resources that they have. [1:29:16] We can change that and that's fine to change that but when I'm bringing solutions, let's start looking at these solutions and how we can enact them moving on to part two of solutions. [1:29:28] All right. [1:29:29] As well as meetings, party promoters and I have met, we've looked at having at least one meeting a month with key personnel, with key city personnel and the police department to understand what are the concerns that the city has. [1:29:41] Again, our top priorities making sure that these students are safe. [1:29:44] So if there's a concern that the city has, let's hear those concerns and address them and understand how can we put those concerns into resolutions and solutions instead of just talking about it all day long. [1:29:55] We're more than happy to work with the city to have these parties. [1:29:59] And also, [1:30:00] With these permitting fees bring you more revenue into our city, with everything else. [1:30:05] Next thing on here, all right, is going to be four cleanup times. [1:30:10] Rondo mentioned that we want these girls to be safe. [1:30:13] All right, so with these cleanup times, I understand that the city wants to be clean and we want to keep the city clean, [1:30:18] but we need to get together and mandate a cleanup time for these special events within the city that are during daylight hours. [1:30:27] during daylight hours. Now if these events are not cleaned up by a certain time, okay, [1:30:33] the city can go ahead and implement fees on these vendors or implement fees on these land owners. [1:30:39] But the cleanup times need to be permitted during daylight hours that alleviate people getting hurt. [1:30:44] That also keeps our safety as a priority and it also keeps the way we can allow these city officers to go home off this overtime [1:30:50] and go back home to their families instead of keeping them out there and worrying about more events. [1:30:57] They're worried about the people while they're out cleaning up because yes [1:31:02] Well, I'm just saying all the people it's so many of my dead as clean enough to where they're going to be [1:31:09] Disrupted to the public they're not going to be disrupted to the public but we want to make sure they're safety is a top 40 if these young ladies here are out on [1:31:16] 1098 cleaning up trash and they get hit by a vehicle [1:31:19] Do you know how much money and resources it takes to dispatch an ambulance a fire truck officers reports tracking [1:31:27] Well, I don't know, I don't know that, but I'm just saying, you know, with them, with [1:31:31] them being in the daylight hours, and I don't have a problem with them, not in fact, [1:31:38] they need to be in the daylight hours, and I'm not the one that was shooting and taking [1:31:42] pictures of that. [1:31:42] It was a police department that was doing that. [1:31:45] I'm just here to hear your concerns about how can we resolve the problem that we have [1:31:51] without police department and the people that are part of it? [1:31:54] So that is a problem. [1:31:56] Definitely. [1:31:58] All right. [1:31:59] We'll bet I close again. [1:32:00] Let's mandate that these clean-up hours are doing daylight hours. [1:32:04] And they are within a certain time frame from the venue ending, [1:32:07] so that we can make sure that our safety is a top priority for our citizens. [1:32:09] Very good. [1:32:10] Thank you. [1:32:11] Okay, let me, let me, before you leave, before you leave, [1:32:13] let me, let me say just say this. [1:32:16] This, just put, you say it. [1:32:18] It's the same conversation that I have with the chief today. [1:32:21] All right. [1:32:21] That's why I said that this two page, this needs to be written. [1:32:24] guys, it needs to be revised. And I'm most of the thing that you've mentioned was the [1:32:32] conversations that I have with the chief of police today. Given example, I'm so I [1:32:36] could move on, as I said that a deposit, and I think somebody mentioned it, a deposit [1:32:44] putter, and by the time you, regardless if the deposit says that you have to pick up the [1:32:54] time they could take that deposit and pay somebody to pick it up. But the incentive is for [1:33:00] you to come back and get your $400 or whatever the deposit was so you would go ahead and [1:33:05] and let's should be a part of this application. Okay? So anyway, we're working and I think [1:33:13] I appreciate all of the comments because it helps us to really understand the treatment. [1:33:19] What's on your mind? And then we can start to try to put this together because we're going to [1:33:23] to go. Very well. I do feel that the parties that have already been [1:33:29] permanent and approved should proceed as well as money has already been spent [1:33:34] for the as money has been spent for these venues and special events. So let them [1:33:41] proceed as continued and approved. Let's make sure we keep a close eye on that [1:33:45] and keep our safety as a number one priority and then let's start to convene [1:33:47] with key officials in these party promoters under Sandhawk and we address these [1:33:51] concerns, and so that we're not sitting here talking about it again. [1:33:54] Okay. [1:33:54] Thank you. [1:33:55] Lastly, lastly, lastly, would you with the part of the motors? [1:33:59] Would you all have any problem with meeting with some of us? [1:34:03] You know, just to get it. [1:34:06] Okay. [1:34:07] Thank you. [1:34:09] And one of the things that I got to say this to, because not because I've taught it [1:34:13] preview, but any of you out here know it, I always see it that I have, you know, [1:34:18] of the city and the university to come together, I always say that and I will continue to say [1:34:26] that because first of all I'm not from Texas and I didn't go to preview but I never understood [1:34:31] what a city and the university is not together. I still don't understand that. Okay? [1:34:49] Bravo Alpha Echo Zulu Alpha. [1:34:55] You got [1:35:18] it? [1:35:51] So that's the situation, but I agree with a lot what he's saying, I understand on both [1:35:55] ends it has to work on both ways, it's 2023 charging $50, we are taking a short [1:36:00] So [1:36:04] for the police, I'm right back to this. It comes right back to this. We sit up here and we make a budget. [1:36:11] We make a budget to give to the police. I'll give this. We hired the chief wife after the budget. [1:36:17] We already came up with the chief wife came in. So he wasn't able for any specifics in regards to him specifically. [1:36:24] And that is something that can change up within this next upcoming budget. [1:36:27] However, when we did make the budget, when there was questions about where is the money? [1:36:31] We supposed to be getting all this money. [1:36:33] Preive you receives $1 million almost annual. [1:36:37] No, take that back, sorry. [1:36:39] Yeah, that's right. [1:36:39] $1 million almost annually from sales tax allocation. [1:36:43] We get about $500,000 generally to the general administration. [1:36:47] We get about $250 to our economic development. [1:36:49] And we get about, oh, the improvement in street control. [1:36:53] Right now, when you go ask for what the budget is on half of those, [1:36:56] you come out with zero or I don't know. [1:36:58] You get what I'm saying, but you don't have no expenditures. [1:37:01] You go look at your rows expenditures. We've been spent $50,000, but we suppose to have 500,000. [1:37:07] You did what I'm saying. [1:37:12] That's always students to clean up. You get what I'm saying, but the money gone, the money missing. [1:37:17] And then when we come up to add these budget meetings, folks walk out. [1:37:21] Then I want to talk about the budget. [1:37:24] We were Dr. Browna saying this. [1:37:26] We tried to talk about the, we wanted to actually sit down and discuss. [1:37:30] These folks walked, we got to discuss on the budget. [1:37:33] And that's what I'm going to tell you and understand that. [1:37:38] What you're going to do? [1:37:53] Okay. [1:37:57] Well, I know that everyone's here for the party, [1:38:03] you know, it was talking about the parties. [1:38:05] I think that, you know, if we do the trash pick up in the morning, [1:38:10] so no one gets in danger or something, [1:38:12] And I think we have, I think we are pretty much good police officers here. [1:38:18] We have police officers on campus, and I don't see why they can't supplement if we [1:38:23] have any shortages or anything like that. [1:38:28] I think the police officers might like that. [1:38:31] And then also, the main question is, why is there a big problem with parties? [1:38:38] This is a college town and I mean, that's right, you know, this is a college town. [1:38:47] So I mean, I think that, you know, it's almost like a right, but I don't know, but [1:38:52] since you're going to purify you, I think that we should have areas for the college students [1:38:56] to have a party well, you know, we take care of safety and security. [1:39:01] But if I get in there, believe me, Mike James, thank you very much. [1:39:08] All [1:39:23] right. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [1:39:31] Okay, let's wait a minute. Hold on. Hold on. We're not. We're coming. [1:39:41] It's all nothing. [1:39:44] My name is Barbara Manuel Magnilla. I'm also running for position two. I'm a long time citizen. [1:39:52] I've been here all my life. [1:40:03] What did you say? [1:40:05] Oh, no, you okay? [1:40:09] Since 1950, now. [1:40:17] In the reason why I'm running, [1:40:19] because I have had problems with myself. [1:40:23] And students, I'm so glad to see you all participate. [1:40:28] It's a blessing. [1:40:29] And I'm not a stranger. [1:40:31] If you know why I traveled right back up to you, [1:40:34] those of my ancestors, my grandfather was a legislator. [1:40:42] GWY, you can look it up, it's bigger than the capital. [1:40:46] So this is my bloodline, who made me run was the issue that I'm having with the CDF for you. [1:40:54] Now I've never had an issue with this man here, [1:40:58] but I have had issues with starting from... [1:41:26] I have had problems with my water beer. [1:41:29] Matter of fact, my water still off. [1:41:32] And it's been all, it's been so long, I don't know how to treat it, it's probably four years far, but that's all right because God gonna take care of it. [1:41:44] You know, I'm not worried about it, because I mean, when you suffer, God help yourself for a purpose. [1:41:51] You know, you don't suffer for nothing, [1:41:56] but I mean, I'm not gonna lie to you, these people will get an office and they will lie. [1:42:02] They look right in your eyes and lie and I'm not scared to you know, you look at my father [1:42:09] told me, it's name of Booker Team man you wear. You said, if you have a problem, you [1:42:15] go to the head. You don't talk behind anybody back. And my dad was like this, it didn't matter [1:42:21] what nationality you were. He would tell you to your face. [1:42:28] But I'm here for the citizen. And if I [1:42:32] I don't know the answer. [1:42:34] I find out the answer. [1:42:37] I mean, I don't run you around and lie to you. [1:42:41] But I had a water beer. [1:42:44] And I had a payment plan. [1:42:46] And I paid the payment plan off. [1:42:49] But then when I paid the payment plan off, [1:42:52] the lady came and told me, you owe some more money [1:42:55] for 10 years ago. [1:42:59] Now, you've got to save a lot. [1:43:02] And get a payment plan. [1:43:05] And you play that payment plan out, but you thought they don't come back, they're white people. [1:43:11] You thought they don't come back and say, oh, you owe some more for ten years ago. [1:43:26] But it precedes it too. [1:43:28] Long-time citizen, I know a lot, I could tell you, I'm not going to lie. [1:43:33] I pray for the nation. [1:43:35] I don't just pray for my children and myself. [1:43:39] You know, my heart goes like I say to the nation. [1:43:44] Another thing I'm saying, it's in my bloodline, D.W. [1:43:48] I'm a legislator. [1:43:49] He's pitchin', take a drift out of him. [1:43:51] And you see he's represented a well-account [1:43:54] and all these different towns. [1:43:56] I have another relative pitchin' right here [1:43:58] on the University of Durham. [1:44:01] Freeman, that's another relative of mine. [1:44:04] My mother was a friend. [1:44:05] Don't read it. [1:44:06] It's right on the University of Durham. [1:44:08] And the only reason why D.W. I, [1:44:12] I mean, not in Wall of County, the mayor, he didn't want it to happen. [1:44:17] Not this mayor, a mayor in Houston, [1:44:24] and he represented it. [1:44:26] And he'd have found a wide chapter church right back on TV. [1:44:30] He was a founder. [1:44:31] You've got to read, don't read the information that's a church. [1:44:36] But that's why I'm here. [1:44:38] They have to sit, you know, because if you have a little water beer, [1:44:41] And the mayor, they're not concerned about that little water being, they push that to one of the secretaries and they're looking for a big project. [1:44:53] Why they could get big money, only the table I want to tell you. [1:45:01] We asked it for this information. You know, bring the stuff forward. So the citizens that know what's going on. Don't hide information. Then the councilman, you know, she's walking out and she made a statement that they cut my word out and said, uh, I cut my own word out. [1:45:26] What's the name? When do we? [1:45:31] I don't want out. I mean, not, not they trying to cover up a lie before she got it out. And another thing they do is [1:45:39] when they cut my water out, when your water gets cut out, [1:45:44] they put a, they put a, lock on. [1:45:49] My meat no have, they didn't put a lock on. [1:45:53] And then they close the right of tongue [1:45:54] as when they cut it out. [1:45:56] We see that stuff they would sleep [1:45:57] because they thought I was gonna go back [1:45:59] and mess with my meat. [1:46:01] But I know better than that. [1:46:03] The whole girl let me know what the devil was doing. [1:46:05] Trying to cut up a treat. [1:46:06] I'm trying to cover up a trick, but now I'm not touching my needle because God, I really [1:46:13] got to eat and work it out the way he wants to work it out. [1:46:18] But like I'm saying, Nimeo, they've done the big lie here, they've big lie here, [1:46:34] they've [1:46:34] big lie here. [1:46:35] Okay, order, order, order. [1:46:38] But what I'm saying is, it's enough for the know. [1:46:41] They've been running me around, I'm alone, I'm sitting here, [1:46:46] enough is the know, that's [1:46:48] why I'm running. [1:46:48] Because I want to help the students, I'm like, I don't want to lie, and don't behind your back and I tell you the truth. [1:46:58] They are understanding it [1:47:09] because they're saying about the student. [1:47:12] They're saying everything. [1:47:13] The parents are saying them down here. [1:47:15] I mean, students, they have a way of [1:47:21] it. [1:47:21] Talk to them. [1:47:23] Because, you know, you're paying the same thing you're down here to be. [1:47:26] We're saying they're about to know everything. [1:47:28] And it goes to my heart. [1:47:30] I'm [1:47:39] children, [1:47:43] children, and you know, you see, you put on the side and let them know. [1:48:01] Okay, Miss. [1:48:02] Yes, Miss Barbara. [1:48:04] We're not, we're not at the time. [1:48:06] Yep, you're time. [1:48:08] You have five minutes. [1:48:11] You can give you one minute. [1:48:16] Hold on, see that one minute. [1:48:32] Okay, [1:48:35] okay. [1:48:39] That's right, that's right. [1:48:47] I don't understand why they walk out to me. [1:48:49] I don't understand, I never seen anything like that. [1:48:52] What's wrong with said now and coming to agreement with what the mayor trying to get, you know, he's trying to get a attorney and [1:49:00] Whatever the city need [1:49:02] You know, he's trying to you know come to that to conclusions, but they started. Well, God, why are you walking out? [1:49:09] What are you running from? [1:49:12] It don't make no sense [1:49:13] What are you hiding? It doesn't have to be some that you hiding then you supposed to have a meat [1:49:20] When the weird here, do you have the mean of that watch, I bet you. [1:49:25] I know where I'm going over that guard's house, and mean nobody. [1:49:30] We're now confusing. When you supposed to be sitting right here at your station, [1:49:35] that don't even make no sense. [1:49:39] It don't make no sense. It's gonna be right here. [1:49:44] That don't make no sense. You know, if you're in office, do you know? [1:49:48] I'm going to get some beers in the mouth. I won't correct you. So I can help somebody else. [1:49:55] Isn't that the back of money? [1:49:58] Okay, Miss Bob. Thank you. [1:50:00] Yeah, thank you. [1:50:04] I'll give her a hand for her efforts. [1:50:15] Good evening, Mayor. [1:50:17] Hold on, hold on. [1:50:37] Okay. [1:50:38] Okay, let's, let's, let's, we have another speaker. [1:50:41] Ladies and gentlemen, we have another speaker. [1:50:43] Mayor, Councilman, my pastor. [1:50:47] all the residents here. My name is David Allen, and I ran for mayor 2016. The form for the [1:50:59] parties, my office, I'll put it together. I may not be perfect, but notice the party promoters [1:51:09] said they were following the things that we, with the police, working with them, did. [1:51:14] you know get the security trash was never an issue [1:51:18] i mean i know a few party all night you don't have trash but notice [1:51:21] we put a time on the next day and they beat the time [1:51:25] by two hours [1:51:27] so that's again working with you [1:51:32] uh... [1:51:32] provost emeritus doctor joanna Thomas Smith [1:51:35] gave me an award several years ago [1:51:37] for being the one who recruited the most students to the to the university of part of you [1:51:43] So, working with President Simmons through most of her term, as well as sitting in council meetings, [1:51:51] eating on campus two, three days a week, some of your faces look familiar you because of that. [1:51:56] But that's only because I love my institution. [1:52:00] Now, I know, Panther Hill is not perfect, but neither of the dormitories on campus. [1:52:08] okay they they've had leaks we've had young ladies have to jump out of what [1:52:13] third second third floor behind fires so we know you know unfortunately those [1:52:19] things happen now should they be fixed absolutely because it's my [1:52:24] understanding that the people who build a campus housing American campus [1:52:28] communities they built it with some faults and that's what caused the fire but [1:52:34] That's when you care enough to dig into it. [1:52:36] I went up there that night and students are up there [1:52:40] and the ambulances are coming in all those things matter. [1:52:44] But when you look at Panther Hill, we had about 700 students in hotels [1:52:49] up and down to 90 that the university was shutting them back and forth [1:52:53] that is not the purview experience. [1:52:56] So they rushed, Panther Hill, I'll give you that, they rushed it, why? [1:53:01] Because students and parents and some coaches came to them and said, Hey, we need this. [1:53:08] So they doubled up, made some mistakes. Yes, but they put a lot of roofs. [1:53:13] 1,400 roofs that we didn't have. [1:53:17] It was in low level. [1:53:20] It was not in a floodplain. [1:53:22] The only female floodplain in the city of Peruvius along Ruby Road on our eastern border. [1:53:27] And I know that because I took the city through recovery for Hurricane Harvey, and a lot of students were working with me in going checking on our seniors to live in water things like that. [1:53:40] Was it low level? Yes. Does it generate a lot of taxes? Yes. That's how we went from six purview police officers. [1:53:49] To where we got now chief 13 we got 13 we more than doubled it [1:53:56] So it's helping with as you say having police to walk around because your safety is a party [1:54:03] The reason why we put that sheet together and I'm proud to say in here how the promoters have been you know working with and following those things is because we were having shooting desps at field parties [1:54:17] You haven't had that [1:54:19] trash would been great for me. [1:54:22] We had some desks, but we checked it, we stopped it, we checked down on folks coming in, you [1:54:28] know, because it was mostly from out of area folks, it wasn't our students that was creating [1:54:33] that and we found that out. [1:54:35] Even if it was Russian drug dealers up in Brookside from Los Angeles, and we confirmed with [1:54:41] our police that that's who it was and that was a shooting death, but all those things [1:54:46] stopped and I want to come in y'all and especially the party promoters. I know I work with [1:54:52] the yeah this this all the way I definitely remember from back in those days but we didn't have [1:54:58] problems and I don't think you have problems now that can't be worked out trash I got trash in my [1:55:06] yard sometimes you know so we'll get we can get through that but when you look at the shelf station [1:55:14] The Czechers Restaurant, Fountain Hill, Panther Hill, the Gates, that's what's bringing us revenue, and that's the kind of stuff that was brought in under my administration. [1:55:26] Was it easy? No. Was Council always cooperative? Hell no. [1:55:31] But did it happen? Yes. Because our students needed better places to stay because they'd reached a point where the university was literally kicking up a classman off campus. [1:55:41] And you got to go fin for yourself. You're old enough now. Well, you got to give them a place to come to [1:55:47] And that's what we have in the city now this [1:55:51] Council and mayor wasn't in office during that time and [1:55:56] As they said, they just been here about eight months [1:56:00] God Mr. Perry be going on for two years next month [1:56:04] but [1:56:05] there are issues that we could have had [1:56:08] but we didn't have them. We have to work together because this side didn't always [1:56:15] right. The ones who walk out on always right. But we got that going on in Washington D.C. [1:56:23] The whole Democratic Party went to Washington D.C. because Republicans were [1:56:27] at the stupid. But those things we have to work together and work on and there's no [1:56:35] and why we can't do it. I agree with the folks who said we need to give you a venue and that's [1:56:41] exactly the kind of thing we need to continue working on because every one of those establishments [1:56:48] were brought in as councilman Jackson and councilman on all ugly raw land. Now it's a bigger [1:56:57] given place to stay generating money for taxes so we can help keep you all safe. That's what it's [1:57:03] out. Working together, the emo use that the city now has with the university, whether it's [1:57:09] the College of Agriculture, the Vice President of Operations, we've got those things. I [1:57:14] can show you a bunch of pictures working with President Simmons. And it was a pleasure. And [1:57:20] I'm so glad to see she went on, but I'm also glad for you seniors that she's coming back [1:57:26] to sign your diploma degrees and see you across that stage. Because what Texas A&M did wasn't [1:57:33] right and we're not done. We got a meeting on Saturday at the Houston Alumni meeting with [1:57:39] the National Alumni to talk about the meeting with the Chancellor. What came from the meeting [1:57:43] and what's going on happen? Because we'll need you to meet to be meeting. We need to get something [1:57:48] done. And Anne M has been treating purview right for a very long time. Like since it started in [1:57:57] 1876 and we're going to fix that and working with administration that's what that's all about. [1:58:03] working with our students, y'all are used part. This is a college town. [1:58:08] This is a college town when I came here. Do we have parties? Yes. [1:58:12] And y'all need to be able to have those same things in the control environment [1:58:16] that y'all are having them, and we'll work together on getting the cleaned up the next day. [1:58:21] Thankfully, that's all we do. [1:58:25] Yes, sir. [1:58:28] I created the forum for the parties, so we can work together and have some guidelines. [1:58:34] Yeah, I'm for the parties. [1:58:35] I'm telling you we have parties in my day, absolutely, y'all need things to do place to go and they clamped up so tight on campus, you have to be able to do something out here. [1:58:46] That's not fair to you. Those are the kinds of things tightened up on campus like that. [1:58:52] The chief, I'm sure he's a good man, I'm sure he's well-meaning, but the tickets I've been here in Susan's being getting on campus are ridiculous. [1:59:01] That's ridiculous! [1:59:02] I [1:59:09] won't stop. I won't stop. I won't stop. I'm sorry, just my time is up. [1:59:28] You know, [1:59:44] I have no one here. [1:59:53] Hey, [1:59:56] hey, give him. Give him. Give him. Give him. [2:00:00] We thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Alley. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Mr. Alley. Thank you. And again, before you go, you are well, Kair, you don't go next? Yeah, yeah, before you go, Kair, this is what I wanted to say to you. This is what I wanted to say to you. Please understand this and listen what I'm saying. Again, I said it at the beginning when I spoke. [2:00:30] keep your grass cut, keep your grass cut because folks will slither around you and make you believe [2:00:36] of the stuff. Now I'm not saying that folks are friends and associate with one another but what I am saying [2:00:42] is this. I can get up here and talk about issues that relate to y'all as far. Oh, I was working with [2:00:48] them to help the students do this. Oh, I was working with them to help the students do that but when you [2:00:52] had Joe time to actually do some, when did you do? When did you do? Why should we believe you? [2:00:56] Now, why should we trust you now when you had an opportunity? [2:00:59] Don't let me get up here and say, [2:01:01] oh, I know about the parties, man, [2:01:02] you know what? [2:01:03] Do a party last week, just so you can relate to me [2:01:05] on the parties, then I bad do it here. [2:01:07] Then I come through and make her law against you, [2:01:09] create something against you, [2:01:10] because that's all that's happening right here. [2:01:12] Everybody wanna get up here [2:01:13] and get in your face and then dance and pour a tray [2:01:16] and act like they know what they're talking about. [2:01:17] It's manipulation. [2:01:20] I mean, they hear that long, so they can get you vote. [2:01:23] If they really was concerned, they should have did [2:01:25] They were saying they was going to do it in the first place. I wouldn't have put [2:01:30] Appointments in low line areas and didn't say oh, we was just trying to get roof [2:01:33] You know, I'm not going to put you in the ghetto just cuz I want roof tops [2:01:36] I'm not going to make you live bad just cuz I want roof tops [2:01:39] I'm not going to have you live in flooded areas and bad plumbing just cuz I want roof top and if we was really trying to generate taxes [2:01:45] We would put businesses here we would put multiple businesses here. We would put equitable businesses here, but instead we put [2:01:52] But badly constructed, badly constructed, apartment complexes that don't even get resolved [2:02:00] until five years later. [2:02:02] Now understand this. [2:02:03] Some of these people that did this, they in the room now. [2:02:06] They don't want us to create it in March. [2:02:07] You've got folks that have been on this council for six, seven, eight years that haven't [2:02:11] done nothing. [2:02:27] I did. I just will sing the tape you. [2:02:32] You said that [2:02:38] Yeah. [2:02:43] I'll give you one of my- [2:02:43] Did you hit my mic? [2:02:45] You're your Mic we'll pull this [2:02:47] You're the mainwebs, they only believe women in the truck [2:02:50] Because we will expect nothing [2:02:51] What you're gonna do about it? [2:02:54] Valleyy, we'll do our history in life [2:03:02] But we're delighted [2:03:56] Do [2:04:10] I need it? [2:04:14] önce you wrote d autor [2:04:31] Just a point of affirmation for the crowd and I see y'all with your hands up [2:05:10] I see y'all with your hands up and understand this we were supposed to have a city council meeting the night when she chose not to come [2:05:17] But she's here now because she sees all y'all in here [2:05:21] So she's here now [2:05:32] Okay, Mr. Mayor Mr. Mayor. Mr. Mayor [2:05:37] If Miss Williams, if you want to just speak, he will come to the microphone, she will come to the microphone, [2:05:49] go back and double check. [2:05:50] Please go double check. [2:05:55] I'm going to let y'all ask any questions before she run. [2:05:58] I'm going to let y'all ask any questions. [2:06:00] But understand this. [2:06:01] Hey. [2:06:02] I understand this. [2:06:04] When she makes comments to say, we tried to hire unqualified people. [2:06:08] She made that on the news prior to us even having the job open. [2:06:12] The attorney, we still have the job, and she got on the news and said hello, we trying to hire unqualified people. [2:06:19] So remember, she's been here for six or eight years. [2:06:24] Hey, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, this is my question. [2:06:28] Since we're talking about qualifications, right? All of us go to all of us. [2:06:32] Most of us are in school, right? [2:06:35] No, we're talking about qualifications. [2:06:37] I'm going to a job where I'm replacing somebody who was there for years [2:06:43] Who is less qualified to me because I have the education I have the knowledge [2:06:49] So you can't say nobody is not qualified because they've never held their position [2:06:53] Excuse me because [2:06:55] No excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Order. Order. Order. Okay. They know about not qualified because again [2:07:02] It's stuff that's been going on super ma'am. I've been in the purview since the thousands will you cannot say that [2:07:10] I'm telling you I've been in the purview since 2012 and nothing has changed [2:07:16] Hey, nothing has changed [2:07:21] Hey, I've been [2:07:23] I've [2:07:27] been and I do vote too. I do vote [2:08:04] Thank [2:08:14] you. [2:08:14] They call it for impeachment. [2:08:19] They call it for impeachment. [2:08:45] Hey, that is you. [2:08:46] We need respect. [2:08:48] Hey, that's the issue. [2:08:50] We need respect. [2:08:51] Yeah, I'll end it. [2:08:54] All right.
