committed

our citizens in particular.

[15:11] uh, six. However, due to manufacturing
and production delays, we did not
[15:15] receive it until just a few weeks ago.

[15:18] due to the delay, there is an increase
in the interest rate uh, from 4.05%
[15:24] to 4.45%.
That will come to an additional yearly
[15:29] cost of $577.79.

from what I understand, that is a
[15:38] reasonable adjustment.

interest rate adjustment to
[15:46] this lease purchase through Fusion Bank.

the breakers that we would need for our

had to be made
[20:29] uh BABA requirements, which is a
uh Build America, Buy America

to receive those grant funds.
[20:39] So, he reached out and ended up getting
with
[20:44] Myers Control Power, um and they sent a
bid in for $78,786.
[20:52] That's for two breakers.
And ABB sent in one for $80,312.
[21:00] dollars.
Um due to the lowest cost
[21:04] and BABA compliant, I would recommend
the Myers Control Power getting that bid
[21:10] of $78,786.
That did not include tax.

municipal court clerk's office. Uh it's
[32:18] an upgrade from the GWorks system and um

[32:29] tickets to
to talk to the system so they just
[32:32] immediately um download instead of
having to be data entry which will save

municipal court clerk's office. That's
[32:47] never been done before, and so a number
of people [snorts] who have
[32:51] failed to pay their traffic citations in
the past, you know, if we um
[32:55] once we get the collection system up and
running, then instead of just uh
[33:01] having bench warrants that are out there
for um
[33:04] any length of time, they were there
there will also be an alternative way to
[33:08] collect those fines.
Um I rode with uh Josh with the
[33:13] sanitation department uh last week um
and helped him with one of his rounds.
[33:19] I have to tell you, I am absolutely
shocked after
[33:23] sitting with him for uh a couple of
hours and chatting, the city of Pratt,
[33:29] which is a city of
6,500-ish people,
[33:34] collects 14 tons of trash a week.
Every single week.

>> I know, it's a lot, but I was in the
[33:44] truck.

[33:45] » And and when we pulled up to the dump
site, and they weigh the truck, and then
[33:48] we go and dump, and then and then they
weigh us on the way back, and I just

consider
[33:57] reducing the amount of trash that goes
into our landfill, because that's a lot
[34:01] of that's a lot of trash that we collect
every single week.

in federal funding.

Pavilion meetings in the last couple of

pre-bid meeting. So, we had a number of
[35:37] contractors
and subcontractors here um
[35:42] in the commission room and then Justin
and uh general contractor Robert Smiley
[35:47] uh spoke to them as a group and they
were able to review the the drawings and
[35:53] the plans and they were also able to do
a site visit today.

Um, street department has repaired the

First and Miller and today an overlay at
[36:46] Iowa Street at approximately the 800
block.

cemetery and sanitation, nothing to
[36:52] report. Um, day-to-day operations, parks
department completed the staining of the
[36:58] Lemon Park um,
dock and the
[37:02] uh, 6th Street train depot.

theft, domestic batteries.
[41:13] We also recovered two stolen vehicles
this last month.
[41:18] Um we responded to nine traffic
collisions, conducted 331 traffic stops.
[41:24] Um we participated for 2 weeks in the
STEP program.
[41:29] So, that was attributed to some of
those.

state statute

remaining members of the board of the

cannot agree upon such suitable person,
[49:46] then they shall call in then the city
attorney who shall cast a decisive vote
[49:51] for such appointment. the resignation of
the mayor or any commissioner elected
[49:54] under the act shall be made in writing
for their action thereon. If
[49:58] [clears throat] the mayor or any
commissioner shall remove from the
[50:00] territorial limits of the city, such
removal shall uh
[50:04] ipso facto be deemed to create a vacancy
in such person's office. So, in other
[50:08] words, we have roughly 10 days from the
time of Doug's death to
[50:14] appoint someone to fill that vacancy. I
personally, I feel like we should not be
[50:20] discussing this
currently just because, you know, Doug
[50:24] we haven't had Doug's funeral yet. I
want to show respect for him. But, I was
[50:28] wondering if you guys would be if what
your thoughts are first off, but if you
[50:32] guys would be okay if we do a special
call on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. to
[50:38] discuss
um who we want to appoint to fill Doug's
[50:43] position. And then, I believe uh Regina,
did you say we'd have two special calls?
[50:48] One would be to nominate and vote on,
and then the second special call would
