[7:40] » We have an applied motion on a [7:41] resolution approving property tax rates [7:43] for Provo City Corporation for the [7:45] fiscal year beginning July 1st, 2026 and [7:47] ending June 30th, 2027. This is [7:50] presented by Justin Harrison, our [7:52] Council Executive Director. [7:58] » Good evening, Council, and to all those [8:01] listening here in person online. Um [8:05] Utah State Code requires that the [8:07] governing board of each taxing entity in [8:09] the state adopt a adopt a certified tax [8:12] rate um [8:14] before June 22nd uh of each calendar [8:17] year uh if they're a fiscal year taxing [8:19] entity. Uh since Provo City is not [8:22] scheduled to adopt our [8:24] FY 27 budget until Tuesday, June 23rd, [8:29] um [8:30] the Council needs to adopt a property [8:32] tax rate, and so uh there is no proposed [8:35] tax increase this year. The city will [8:37] not be going through Truth in Taxation. [8:40] Uh however, the following tax rates uh [8:43] that have been certified by the county [8:45] and by the tax commission uh are what [8:47] are being proposed to be adopted. So, [8:50] for the general operations tax rate for [8:54] Provo City uh 0.000510 [8:58] uh for the bond payment portion of the [9:01] property tax 0.000675 [9:06] and the library rate of 0.000400. [9:12] That is all I have unless you have any [9:14] questions. Happy to provide the dollar [9:17] amount um [9:18] that may be helpful if you're [9:20] interested. [9:22] But, please let me know if you have any [9:23] questions. [9:24] >> Okay, thank you, Justin. [9:27] Um any questions for Justin? [9:31] All right, this is something that's not [9:32] in our control at all. It's set by the [9:34] county, and we just [9:36] acknowledge it. [9:38] Um [9:38] all right, we'll call for a vote on the [9:40] implied motion. I'd also like to [9:41] recognize that Councillor Travis Hoban [9:43] has joined us online. [9:46] Any council discussion on this? [9:50] Okay, we'll do a vote on the implied [9:51] motion. Councillor Garrett. [9:53] >> Yes. [9:54] >> Councillor McKay, yes. Councillor [9:56] Christiansen. [9:57] >> Yes. [9:58] >> Councillor Whitlock. [10:00] >> Yes. [10:01] >> Councillor Bogdan. [10:02] >> Yes. [10:03] >> Councillor Hoban. [10:04] >> Yes. [10:05] >> And Councillor Whipple. [10:07] >> Yes. [10:07] >> So that passes 7-0. [10:11] If there's no objection, we'll now [10:12] adjourn the Provisional Council by [10:14] unanimous consent. [10:20] Very short.
