[1:32] » Yeah. >> Okay. [1:38] Can you see anything? [1:43] » Uh I can see everything. Uh I don't have a packet with me unless [1:48] you did Leslie email it to me. [1:53] I can get you to scan. I didn't want to scan anything else. [1:58] Actually, I can send I'll send it over to you. Okay. [2:17] All [2:28] right. [2:53] » [snorts] [3:00] » Doc, you getting those? >> Yeah, I have them. [3:03] » I appreciate that. Yes. Okay. So here [4:05] Okay. [4:13] Mhm. [4:19] something. [4:41] Yeah. [4:48] Yeah. [5:02] Heat. [5:21] level. [5:36] I'm sorry. All right. Okay. [5:43] » Okay. [5:47] » I got one more for you and it should be it. [5:50] » All right. >> Sorry. [5:55] Not very fast here. And by the time you receive them, [5:59] » okay, >> you should be good now. [6:04] Heat. [6:25] Heat. [7:24] Heat. Heat. [8:12] Are you ready? [8:16] Heat. [8:40] Heat. [9:24] Everybody had a chance to review Doc. You still reviewing? [9:28] » Uh, yeah. >> Okay. [9:49] Heat. Heat. [10:12] questions on it [10:17] on that consent agenda [10:23] here. Okay. [10:35] You asking for a second? >> Oh, there's [10:39] no motion. I just was a motion. >> I'm sorry. [10:43] » That's all right. >> I was making sure got caught up. [10:48] » Yeah. >> Okay. [10:56] Come here. [11:22] Just [11:27] [clears throat] all right. [11:51] Yep. [12:03] » Okay. [12:20] a lot of the wrong [12:37] whatever. There's [12:54] no [13:01] just [13:33] It's good. How many How many rolls? [13:39] » 29. [14:52] Very [15:13] good. [15:20] Very [15:24] cool. [15:46] So that sounds [16:12] » papers. C. [16:18] » Huh? >> C. [16:22] » Okay. >> Caleb's [16:37] name. [16:43] beautiful. [16:55] » Uh [16:59] general hydraulics general hydraulics. [17:22] That's the place. [17:36] This time this American [17:52] [clears throat] [18:07] coming from the cold to that junction. [18:11] What did you call white [18:21] over there? >> That's your main line. That's [18:30] » a three base cut off. >> Three phase. [18:32] » Three phase. >> Three phase shut off. [18:35] » Three phase. [snorts] [18:37] here at three phase [18:41] » transfer switch. [18:49] [snorts] >> Yeah, it's three phase. [19:03] All right. I'll be still working on that. [19:18] » Yeah. [19:41] Heat. Heat. [20:27] Yeah. [21:34] » [clears throat] [22:37] » How many miles? Eight. [23:16] » [clears throat] [23:19] » Not too hard. [23:47] I just need to clarify something. Am I supposed to be reviewing something? [23:52] I have no direction here on what to do. [clears throat] [23:55] » You always you review the consent agenda. The board makes a motion on the [23:59] floor of the consent agenda. It needs to be seconded. If you all agree on the [24:04] consent agenda and all what the reconciles, the budget reports and [24:08] what's in the packet and then it votes on it. If it passes or dies or carries [24:15] or dies >> and that's what we're supposed to be [24:17] looking at right now. >> Yeah. I mean for I mean can but I mean [24:20] that's what we're supposed to be doing right now. [24:24] » Yeah. I didn't know if you had motion on the table. I was asking [24:29] » Yeah. [24:33] I just I guess [24:41] » the receipt or whatever. >> Ask the clerk. I mean, [24:48] » what does he want? [24:53] » That giant boulder. We'll be here all night. [24:59] and then >> No, we didn't. That's what the treasurer [25:04] is for. That's what the chamber pays the big money. [25:08] » Huh? >> And he didn't show. [25:10] » No, I asked him to. We can talk about that later. That's what I'm saying. [25:15] » Oh, this is the same as prior before, [25:19] » right? >> We've been printing out 44 pages. [25:23] » No. No. >> You know what I mean? [25:25] » No, pretty much. know what's going on. Just want to see what [25:30] » I even asked him to do that he even showed that [25:35] » summary budget, >> you know, budget summary. [25:39] » I thought we had to look at that at home and then just came to vote on it [25:42] tonight. >> Yeah, this is just what you got the [25:46] monthlys are. This is the basic stuff. So, [25:48] » can we move on then? >> Yeah, we we need a motion and a second. [25:52] » I like a motion that we approve it and move on. [25:58] I'll second >> by Rose. All in favor? [26:07] » I [26:11] Okay. [26:18] » Okay. All right. Moving on. All right. We got here [26:25] this previous meeting for anybody signing up. [26:33] » Okay. Uh does the board want to make any is yours for permitting, [26:43] Steve? >> Well, I'm just going to share you guys [26:46] my ideas about what what the project is and what I'm interested in doing. that [26:50] you guys thoughts on it. >> You like brought in blueprints or [26:55] something like that. >> Yeah, I just kind of handed stuff to [26:58] some. >> I mean, can I just kind of share with [27:01] you guys? >> Sure, Steve. Now, there's two of you [27:04] here tonight. Are you both here to speak to us tonight? [27:06] » Yeah. >> Okay. So, what we're saying is there's a [27:09] signup sheet or something. >> Yeah. [27:13] » Okay. So, come anytime you want to talk. We just want to make sure everybody get [27:17] a chance to talk. the board can make an exception with that if the sheets aren't [27:22] out they can speak. Well, [27:27] yeah. I I [27:32] still love that house. And I've talked to Adam about what we're interested. [27:37] We're purchasing the old antique mall from the Fishers, Bobby and Carla Fisher [27:42] up on the hill. And my our initial thought was uh we were wanting to cuz I [27:47] I built a subdivision back in 2020 2003 in Fredericktown condominiums and that [27:56] was what my thought was initially on this property. But after reviewing the [28:01] property and talking to some different real estate people in the area that [28:05] really knows the market, we're we're we're going to shift and potentially [28:09] build some houses first and then on the the open ground that's up there, not [28:14] what the concrete is. And then if if we find that we get a lot of people as [28:18] we're building these houses that want the senior houses, then we might bust up [28:22] that concrete and put senior houses on the back side. That way they're more [28:27] private. They're more cuz I think seniors would prefer to be more safer [28:33] cuz whenever I built my subdivision down in Tretown, I put a road in and they [28:37] were kind of a controlled entry point on that property up there with the road [28:41] kind of around it. There's really not a whole lot of safety that maybe the [28:45] seniors desire. So, but but if I say that in if I can't figure out what to do [28:51] with the concrete, then I was going to have Bobby come in with his crushing [28:54] machine and just bust it up. We'll use the rock for foundations, but we're [29:00] going to kind of put that on hold for maybe while we're building these houses. [29:03] So, the the type of houses that we're looking for East Missouri Action for the [29:09] last uh uh since 2022, they got a grant to build houses and train and we've been [29:16] [clears throat] building these kind of houses. This this is a little three [29:19] bedroomedroom uh two bath house that we've been building and we're selling [29:23] for like 170 over in the >> Okay. This is one of the type of houses [29:31] that's got a cuz the property is going to really do well with a combination of [29:37] of I like to kind of show you my the layout of the property that we're [29:47] using. >> So the property is kind of this is kind [29:50] of where the concrete slab starts and kind of wraps around and I said we might [29:55] use that for senior housing. That way it's more private. And so we're going to [29:59] build some houses down in this area that's got uh onecar garages that you [30:04] can drive in from the street and come right into the house. And that'll be [30:08] this type of a house. So it it'll be a cute little onecar garage with a front [30:14] porch and other style of the house that we have. It it looks it's pretty much [30:19] the same. It's just got a little bit of a different facade on it the front end, [30:23] but they're still about the same house. are about 1,400 to,500. [30:28] » Two bedroom three bedroom. >> Yeah, that'll be three bedroomedroom, [30:31] two bath. And then and then these will have the garages. So, we're going to put [30:35] those along the road down here. And then what in this other area, we're going to [30:42] have an alley that kind of comes up off of the the road that goes up the hill. [30:47] And then this is the concrete slab here. And there's going to be an alley through [30:51] here that'll be a oneway alley. And we're going to build little uh three [30:56] bedroomedroom, two bath houses. And we're going to offer a base model for a [31:00] bath and a half. And they're going to have rear entry garages. So we're going [31:04] to have detached rear entry garages. So they can come in the alley and come into [31:08] the >> 50t lot straight across. [31:11] » Yes. >> And then uh an alley for parking. [31:13] » Yeah. Garbage pickup or whatever. >> Yeah. And the alley. Yeah. We're going [31:17] to have the garbage coming alley. >> That leaves us a place to put water [31:21] systems through and all that. That's what I was going to talk to you guys cuz [31:24] I think the water line goes around the whole perimeter [31:28] » there too >> and that's the thing we're going to be [31:32] getting that information. We just got the contract signed [31:36] » and we're going to be doing a an environmental assessment study on that [31:40] property just to make sure there wasn't any cuz this being a leather factory at [31:44] one time. We're little concern >> before we build homes for people to make [31:50] sure there was nothing that would be a concern of building houses cuz that's [31:54] the last thing we want to do is build houses on. [31:58] » So we're going to be doing it. We are uh contracting with this company to do an [32:02] environmental assessment. >> But Mr. River, let me ask you this. [32:06] Where are the existing roads at on this? >> Right now, roads just basically go [32:11] around >> on three sides. [32:14] » Yeah. >> And on this side over here are already [32:16] houses. >> Well, there's concrete. That's a big [32:18] concrete. >> Then there's some Yeah, there's some [32:21] houses. There's a house right here. >> Then that one lady owns like a big track [32:25] of land here. lady in town that that four or five acres right there [32:32] in that area here. So, so that's where we're [32:36] wanting to build houses with garages over here. Houses with detached rear [32:41] entry garages and then we're going to have parking and we're going to set the [32:45] houses back up and have parking and we'd like to put sidewalks through that too. [32:48] That would look nice. So, this particular lot here, you look like you [32:51] got about 13 houses there. Yeah, we're going to put 13 houses cuz there's going [32:56] to be two lots are going to be narrow because of the spacing. And then I got a [33:00] three I got a twotory model that I I built. Also, [33:06] this is the twotory model that's only 24 ft wide and it's got three bedrooms [33:11] upstairs and it's got a flex room on the first floor. It could be a bedroom, too. [33:17] So, this one be about 16. >> Yeah. paint. [cough] [33:24] » This is the twobedroom model. We're only going to build three of those cuz the [33:28] market for three bedrooms are pretty weak. But if people come in and they [33:32] want 1,600 square ft, that's what we're going to offer. [33:36] » We're going to try to start these out about 165 for the the detached garage [33:42] model. Then the garage will be an option if they want a garage. Some people price [33:47] point, >> but we're going to try to do a garage [33:50] for around $15,000 for a one car garage and 20,000 for a twocar garage. They can [33:56] either attach >> nice looking clean houses. [34:00] » So on this uh top piece here, the 13 houses on this bottom square here, how [34:04] many houses you think? Seven. >> About 20 houses. Yeah. [34:09] » Um >> the uh I don't think the words generally [34:14] have any issue at all the way that's laid out. It's just in the middle there, [34:19] you know, in the middle there's just a main transit, emergency transit. But I [34:25] talked to Michael and what they plan on when they go to this interconnect [34:31] system, which I just spoke with him an hour ago. Um they're probably going to [34:35] either disconnect or use it as it's emergency only. [34:39] » But that's all it's for. It's encased. >> Yeah, it's actually encased in concrete [34:45] and everything. So I mean even it's there and it's never it's forever, you [34:50] know, it's just for contingency where it was. [34:54] » So on this 50ft lot, 135 ft deep. Um that's pretty much like a city lot in [34:59] St. Louis. >> Yeah. House [35:01] and a subdivision. Yeah. that built in the 1920s and 30s. [35:05] » I envision like people go out there and have walk up and down the road. So they [35:10] they won't have any garages on the front. So all the garages are going to [35:13] be when you kind of walk down here. They're all houses [35:17] » and with nice little sidewalk it's more of a community feel. It is you [35:24] pull into the garage and then you lock the door down and you're in your house. [35:28] » Yeah. >> We're hoping this will be more of a [35:31] community. mailboxes all along the road there. [35:34] » Yeah, exactly. >> And are you thinking about having like a [35:37] a model available to somebody to look at? [35:40] » Yeah, cuz I say these are what I built over in Egypt for East Missouri and we [35:44] uh we sold we sold them all the one we we're waiting on Amar to hook up our [35:48] last ones. We're sold them. We're starting a couple more. We got the roof [35:52] on a set trusses next week. So these are houses I built for Missouri action. [35:58] » Yeah. That's what I'm hoping too to get them over here and maybe build some [36:02] houses on some of these empty lots around. Yeah. I think there's an [36:06] opportunity to really especially at that price point and I think people in St. [36:11] Mary are looking for other places for their kids to still stay and be near [36:14] their grandparents or you know parents and not have to move out of town in [36:18] order to get married and have children or eager to retire. [36:22] » So those are nice looking spots. And then we got this little 50ft buffer here [36:27] for green space. That's maybe a dog. They can put a dog park out there. [36:34] People want to have a dog. We'll have a little space there. They can do whatever [36:38] they want. >> Yeah. [36:39] » And for storm water [36:45] be a lot of houses that don't have water shed right now. So that's why our [36:50] engineer said be the spot for water to go and then so that could be the a [36:55] little drainage area. >> So is there a name for this development [37:00] yet? >> Not yet propos that yet? [37:01] » No, not yet. We're our LLC. That's what's nice is I'm teaming up with a [37:07] gentleman out of here. His name is Luis Talawantes and he him and his wife got a [37:14] they've been flipping and rehabbing houses and they won the business of the [37:18] year award this year in the paper down there. So they were nominated for the [37:22] business of the year award. >> How do you spell that name? [37:25] » To t a l e t a l a m a n t e and I think yeah's got a little bit of history, [37:35] » but he's super nice guy. He's a veteran. He's in the military still. He's a [37:39] senior master sergeant. He does like u like top secret kind of stuff with the [37:45] military. He's in the he's in the reserve. So, I'm really excited about [37:49] teaming up with him on this project cuz I built this will be my fifth [37:53] subdivision I've built. This will be his first. So, [37:57] » I'm kind of mentoring him and he's he's a super awesome Christian guy. He's just [38:02] a really neat guy to kind of hook up with. I'm excited about teaming up with [38:06] him and uh and then like I say, if this works well and we get a lot of lot of of [38:13] desire, then I'm going to do something with that concrete. I haven't quite [38:16] figured out yet. >> I think it'll be a good place for that [38:20] senior community that I was thinking of. >> How long do you think the study will [38:25] take and all of that? They said it takes about 3 weeks to get the study, the [38:28] phase one study. And then they what they do, they make a recommendation based on [38:32] the results of the phase one study cuz that's mainly going back in the history [38:37] of the area to see if there was ever [clears throat] [38:40] any kind of recorded event that ever happened on that property over time. [38:45] » And I think they said that at one time that was a subdivision. back at the [38:48] time. I think he said that years and years ago over there is like [38:54] Prince Drive when they had the mobile homes. There was approximately 60 [38:59] connections. >> Do you remember at all before the [39:02] leather factory? >> My grandma from there. [39:05] » Yeah. A lot of us probably in town never knew [39:09] before that period of time. Yeah. And I got actual I guess vinyl disc [39:16] for like employees and let them know they're bringing out like every day they [39:21] play to employees on photograph like hey good job and all that. I don't [39:27] have to play on but it says Prince Gardener side one side two. [39:34] So in theory we could add 40 more folks to our population here. A few people [39:39] lived in town [laughter] and there were three there. There would be [39:45] so that might add to >> families. That's what going to be a lot [39:49] of families and the mayor and all of us have been [39:53] working on city court for kids and stuff >> cuz like I was talking with Doug Ber [39:59] today you know he said he's been working on I guess a park down here or [40:04] something. >> Yeah. So [40:06] » I spoke with Gerald the other day. >> Yeah, cuz I'm going to meet with him [40:11] early part cuz I was trying to meet with him yesterday but he's kind of busy [40:15] instead of the first part of the week cuz I want him do the actual design of [40:19] subdivision. >> So So once you get that phase one done, [40:23] that's you can build there. >> Yeah. Yeah. [40:25] » And then after that you go through a design phase or the subdivision. [40:28] » Well, we're going to go and start. >> Yeah, we're going to start waiting. [40:34] Good start. This is going to be a pretty basic [40:38] out. >> Yeah. [40:39] » And won't be any twisting winding roads or [40:43] crazy. >> And I was hoping that but Luis is with [40:47] his family up in uh I mean up in Wisconsin. They left yesterday. He [40:53] already had plans for his families cuz I think school starts next week. [40:58] » We take his family. He's got three boys and a little girl. So it's nice little [41:02] family. What is your estimated time to start? [41:07] » We'd like to have a couple under under roof for winter kind of work. So, we're [41:11] hoping to build about five or six maybe. If they sell, we can build here. I got [41:18] 10 of these years. Well, they can build this in a couple of years. [41:22] » Yeah. If they all start selling and you know, we can [41:28] year cuz I was building my condos. I built 19 condos in the 2 and 1/2 years [41:35] condos. >> So when you do those and you lay them [41:37] out and the lots are finished, will they have sidewalks for the house? [41:42] » Yeah, that's what I was doing in my condos. I was I trying to get grass grow [41:48] and these yards aren't going to be real big, right? [41:50] » So you can saw them as you can try to seed straw. It doesn't seem to work cuz [41:57] Yeah. I I seed and straw the first building down there when I started my [42:00] condos and then I it didn't work. So I went down adance. [42:06] » So how do you see yourself marketing these realtors? Luis has got some pretty [42:11] good real estate connections in Perryville and I've to I've built over [42:19] probably 12 130 houses and I've only sold probably five or six real estate [42:24] agents. I'm pretty good at talking to people [42:28] » and I'm going to be moving in a a model of it's called a park. I want to use it [42:33] as my office and play and kind of a place to show people and Lisa's wife is [42:39] really good at like home decorating and interior decorating that stuff. So, [42:43] we're hoping maybe she'll work with a lot of our customers to kind of design [42:47] pick out. I think it's a great idea, you know, [42:53] um, kind of just what we need. We're always talking about the fact that we [42:56] don't have much land to develop on, >> but to take a piece of land like that [43:00] and develop into a community houses and not so so much another factory or [43:04] something, bring more people into town, it's a great idea. I think the market is [43:10] really strong because you got a strategic location. I mean, we can even [43:14] draw from potentially Chester. People want to get out of [43:19] » Yeah, we can even draw. We're going to market over in Chester, too. So, yeah, [43:24] we're going to I think the opportunity cuz, you know, cuz that's what McBride [43:28] is doing an open house thing next week. [snorts] Next Wednesday. Yeah, next [43:33] Wednesday they're going to do a meet the community thing at the YMCA in St. Jen. [43:38] So, I was going to just go there and just kind of see see them and cuz then I [43:43] think they're looking for contractors on Thursday. So, they said they're going to [43:47] try to hire a lot of local contractors. So, I hope they don't. But Lu has got [43:51] some guys that he's got next. >> There's a really good journ and [43:55] construction people here in all fields I think and too there's a subdivision [44:01] that's going in behind Buckeyes. Not to change the subject or anything, but have [44:05] you been back to see that? Is it those condos or two places? [44:09] » Yeah. They look like houses like houses, but they're new places. [44:13] » Yeah. And that's why I thought there were any any condos in St. cuz he [44:22] said he's never really cuz condos take suspect. You got once you build them, [44:26] you got to have them surveyed from the walls in cuz that's how condos are sold [44:29] from the walls in. And he said there's not many condos in. Well, we don't have [44:34] condos, but we have the retirement community that are duplexes and [44:38] » they're not sold. >> They're not sold capital. We do have [44:40] that kind of shared >> Yeah. shared living space. Yeah. [44:44] » Yeah. Cuz when you when you build and sell condos is quite a bit involved. You [44:48] got to set up your uh your HOA and you got to all the the buildings are owned [44:54] by everybody. So, it's like a it's so it's a little challenging to get a an [44:59] HOA cuz that's what I did down in Frederick Town when I built my [45:02] subdivision. It it took a little while and and we in the city of Fredericktown [45:07] never had anything before. So, we kind of worked with Perryville to kind of [45:11] model some of their ordinances and stuff like that. So, so yeah, this so that's [45:16] why I thought we're going to build the houses first and then we're going to see [45:20] if there is a market for [clears throat] the senior condos like I did project. [45:23] We're going to kind of test that. Yeah. >> And if there is, then we're going to [45:26] kind of open it up to the other section of the property. [45:29] » And we want to view your place over there in town. Where's that located? [45:32] » It's over, you know, where have you been? [45:34] » Oh, okay. You know where Captain America is at out on 72 as you're heading out of [45:39] town. Right down from uh right down from Captain America. [45:44] » Coming back to where it was. [snorts] >> Uh well, let me see. on 72 Came America [45:49] there down the hill from there is uh my it's called Madison Meadows. It's kind [45:55] of going into to >> uh it's kind of it's it's h it's on the [46:04] very edge of the city but that's where it's at. It's kind of ironic Z out of [46:09] Frederick Town which is Zos and uh but yes so if you if you're [46:16] coming into Frederick Town you got Cap America then you got the the Lego Middle [46:20] School or something then you get the high school but if you turn right there [46:24] on Cap America Drive and kind of go down the hill to Highway Z my community is [46:29] right there on that right side. >> It's called Madison. [46:33] » Can you see it from 72? No, it's cut it down. [46:37] » I go through there a lot. So, I'll check it out. [46:39] » Yeah. >> Yeah. If you turn right there by Captain [46:40] America [46:58] at the very end of the culdeac, I built single house for them because they [47:02] didn't want to do something. And when I did that, I started everybody wanted [47:06] houses, but it's still kind of an ownership style where the grass mode, [47:11] you know, and the the buildings are all maintained by the association. We only [47:15] own from the drywall on onership. [47:21] So that's where >> Can we look at these pictures a little [47:25] closer? You guys have >> Steve, would you want to come back and [47:30] like give a presentation with me and we can kind of coordinate [47:35] with everything when you're more >> drafted and everything. [47:40] » Yeah, that's what I think will have a pot. [47:43] » Yeah. >> Yeah. [47:46] People from the town see it >> cuz he was out yesterday. That's what [47:49] I'm talking about. [47:53] Everything. [47:58] surveys for me and I know he's super nice [48:04] as far as that's the thing I guess the water [48:16] I guess another meeting [48:20] » that's in the next couple weeks I like the time [48:22] » yeah and and then the that the engineers are an engineering guy. [48:27] » They'll be coming up here soon. >> I'd like to meet with them too cuz they [48:31] might help me figure out where to connection. [48:34] » Yeah. And they can help you with that cuz they've already gone in. [48:38] » That would be awesome. That was one of the big. So now my question just off the [48:43] top as far as getting building, how do you how do you guys work as far? [48:49] » We do the permit builds on new construction based on that. They go down [48:53] how much value that everything and then the right away if you got to move the [48:58] line right that's all it is >> there it's not real hard [49:04] yeah cuz that's for like letington rebuilding letington [49:08] » yes >> uh we had to get a permit [49:11] but it was that it's like they don't do permit inspections or anything so we had [49:16] to you guys don't have inspection >> oh you do [49:20] » oh that is awesome because in length they don't you We had to pay $800 for [49:25] every house that rebuilding money to have a third party inspector. 18 was an [49:31] inspector. So you guys actually do awesome. [49:35] » Yeah, because that was because we're used to like Arlington St. [49:39] » Bigger City. They have >> Yeah. They have their own inspectors. So [49:42] that way when you go get a USDA loan, it's been inspected by the municipality. [49:48] So that's what we figured. That's what we found. We're not going to build a [49:51] lage anymore for this. And this guy was trying to make us uh stick the Kansas [49:55] City building code, which is like crazy. It's like he was making us do all kinds [50:00] of crazy crap that had no sense. And I I've been building in Farmington [50:06] and Park Hills and Pont. I never in Farmington. I never had to do some of [50:11] the crazy stuff this guy was making throughout. [50:17] » Okay. I'm glad you guys a little bit more, but I mean we got checklist. [50:22] » That was a huge issue that I was thinking [50:26] to hire a third party inspector in all these houses. That's going to suck. [50:32] » Yeah. No, that that'll make we >> Yeah. [50:36] » And these are all going to be on crawl spaces unless unless somebody really [50:40] wants a basement cuz basements are they're expensive. It kind of kicks [50:46] us out of that affordability when you have to put $35,000 inside these things. [50:51] » Yeah. >> So, so we're trying to build these [50:54] affordable. Affordability is what's important to us. Making sure people can [50:59] afford these houses. >> Exactly. [51:01] » Well, every time you $800 here, $800 there. [51:06] » Yeah. Yeah. That inspection thing was >> We do a occupancy permit right after [51:11] it's built in, make sure everything's safe. [51:13] » Yeah. Cuz that's easy. the the concrete you want, you know, we you guys do the [51:17] concrete inspections and then you do what they call the over ball. They come [51:20] in and check the wiring as to do construction inspection and [51:26] gas. >> Okay, awesome. That that that I'm glad [51:31] you guys have that >> and Steve could come in at the city at a [51:34] better time for knowledgeable people like and our city workers, you know. So [51:42] it's a experienced team of people who do awesome. [51:46] » Yeah, because when I built my time was the guy's name was Tim Morgan. He was [51:49] the city administrator at that time and uh they they not really built the [51:54] subdivision. There was a subdivision called time capsule out on the highway [51:59] as you're leaving town. That was built about 15 years. That was the last [52:02] subdivision built in town. So there was nobody there. [52:07] We all kind of figured it out. But yeah, but I'm glad that this is [52:13] going to be a lot easier. >> That's awesome. That's great. [52:22] » With everybody once will be there, you know, my business [52:26] partner will be back from their last vacation before school starts next. So [52:33] » So yeah. And if anybody's got any questions, call me. [52:39] » What is your number, Steve? That's 573 747 [52:44] 998. [52:48] » You say you'd like to try to start getting signed by [52:53] a couple to show people what look like by by probably end of November. you [52:58] know, at least get them under [53:03] that's basically [53:08] results of that assessment test. [53:16] » Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like I say, they've been really good for East Missouri about [53:20] as soon as we get them built, they're sold. So, [53:22] » yeah. This here, we're just waiting on AM to pick the electric up. We got a [53:27] temporary wire going one in there for kind of light it up and show people. But [53:31] am we've been waiting on them for two weeks, three weeks, four weeks maybe. [53:35] And I think they're the citizen. It's easier to work with those guys. [53:40] » Yeah. Business locals. >> Yeah. I know when I build my house, I [53:46] called them up and they were out like a week and a half putting a pole in and [53:49] putting temporary power so we could build. I think citizen and I was used to [53:55] like down in Frederick town city electric's got city electric [54:01] is >> a challenge sometimes they're [54:04] challenging kind of sto we put this house on the [54:09] market yesterday for 169 on the market yesterday [54:14] » that's kind of your range 170 >> yeah [54:19] like I said it doesn't have a garage with this property We couldn't put a [54:23] garage cuz it didn't have enough space. So on these lots that we're building [54:27] here, we're going to have they want a garage. They want a garage. [54:31] We're hoping people garage [54:37] if we can. Yeah, we got to move on. We got I'm not trying to get you. Let's [54:42] schedule a time where we can get all that just and everything and then kind [54:46] of you guys can do your questionire and then we'll just work from there and [54:51] see too be back. [54:57] Yeah, it is. >> All right. [55:01] » See, so you don't have to hang around. You can if you like. [55:04] » Yeah, you're not required. [55:08] But um yeah, I appreciate you coming in. Nice seeing you again. [55:12] » Yeah, you guys, too. Good luck. I hang out from time to time. [55:21] » And one of the things that I'm thinking about too are maybe part of that [55:24] concrete maybe putting a little like a little store like a little coffee shop, [55:30] a little something. That's that's something I'd really like to do. Maybe [55:33] take some of that concrete and put especially if I decide to go see this. [55:36] I'd like to put like something like a song with the [55:39] » old [55:45] coffee idea is a good >> We have church Mondays and Fridays [55:49] coffee with the old man. >> Yes. See that? [55:52] » Yeah, cuz that's what we're trying to figure out what would be a good little [55:55] maybe a little another restaurant. Vers and there was a lady you were telling me [56:00] that maybe you might want to open up another restaurant there for years. I [56:06] did an article when she retired. I think she'd been here for 70 years. [56:11] » I'd like to see us do a taco stand, but you know that's just me. [56:16] pretty rude. We can get food trucks to come down. Maybe we'll have a food truck [56:20] day once we get this going. Maybe it'll be a little food truck spot there for [56:26] until I decide what to do. That would be a great spot truck little maybe three or [56:31] four food trucks come down and offer some food. [56:37] that there might be a good business to come down one day a week instead of cuz [56:42] they do that at Farm Park Farmington at the the Methodist church. They have a [56:44] food truck every Friday something like that. There's like 20 food trucks out [56:50] there. Everybody works there. So that's a good way to start. [56:55] » Yeah. We have a couple food trucks come down from up there and good for my [57:01] community. That's true. [57:05] » Thank you very much. Thank you. >> All right, Brownie. I'm sorry. [57:11] » On him. I didn't know he was coming, but he's a great guy. [57:14] » Good deal. I see that coming in. >> The only issue I got ain't going to take [57:19] long. One question I got is uh who who's takes care of the city artist? who takes [57:27] you. I mean, you guys, how do you not take care of I can write a warning and [57:33] everything and tell them, you know, first statue, but the way the laws have [57:37] changed, code enforcement is nothing. I mean, [57:41] » so we ain't got no code enforcement actually [57:46] enforcer, but I mean, we have those ordinance prior to that to say if you [57:50] don't do this and we clean it up, >> you know, or mess or things like that, [57:54] then you're liable. the law statute wise we can't force you know DPS laws like [58:01] murder or anything like that you know what I'm saying so there's just a fine [58:05] line cuz there's >> there was an article years ago about [58:08] that and there was a threshold gray area and somebody shot somebody and it just a [58:14] nightmare so >> this had nothing to do [58:17] » providing some city artists that need to be taken care of the [58:20] » first issue is is that the he's putting this junkyard here within 50 ft from the [58:27] city hall here. >> I just don't know how the bride build [58:31] here owns that got all these >> cats coming in junk coming in you know [58:37] it looks like a junky that's moving in >> they know how to I don't know how you're [58:41] going to force that if I know a lot of city artists they can put up a 12t [58:46] privacy fence to cover all their junk or they [58:50] » have it moved at their expense. And it should be well I told him well he had a [58:56] survey he lost 20 ft of his building. So there was another issue office take 10 [59:02] off that he lost that and him and Ronnie got into it over there where parking [59:10] looks like a junkyard. I mean it does >> makes the city hall look [59:13] » I don't Is he even a business like a machine shop or anything? I don't [59:18] » I see just junk store over there. We got trusses over there, old bulldozers, [59:24] uh, cab of pickups, cab of truck beds, equipment. I mean, [59:29] » yeah, I know he's not the only one. I mean, even across from you, [59:32] » right? On the issue here. >> No. Yeah, there's many issues like that. [59:38] There's a you got to petition the court and it's got to go up to OSCA and all [59:45] that and see if you can enforce certain things with code enforcement that law [59:51] enforcement can or the prosecutor can prosecute on. [59:54] » Does that make sense? >> I'm sure he's got permits on all their [59:57] vehicles and tags and all that too. You know, I'm sure he's [1:00:01] » I don't know. Well, I know it was one of them's I haven't been over there to [1:00:04] look, but I've been pulled 20 ways from Sunday. [1:00:08] » I don't I keep up with >> So, I hardly see him. I see him when the [1:00:13] time I get back. He's jetted or he's hiding in that building. So, [1:00:18] » Right. Right. Yeah. >> Nobody take his junk out of there. Well, [1:00:23] I don't even talking to him just not very personable [1:00:30] evening or DS. He's not at all cuz I don't know what his I can't remember his [1:00:36] name, but he'll come to me later, but I can look it up on property. [1:00:40] » That's what I want to do is address the board with it. [1:00:43] » Yeah, that's fine. >> You know, if you guys can send them a [1:00:45] letter, maybe state paint it up, move it, or [1:00:49] » there's been complaints about it. >> Yeah. Yeah. Looks bad. looks bad for the [1:00:52] shoot. I mean, there's a lot of places that need to be cleaned up. I understand [1:00:56] complaint is a good work with concerns about bring [1:01:00] it's unprofessional. I mean, it's unacceptable. [1:01:02] » It's a complaint. I mean, it's a viable complaint. It's a citizen right file [1:01:08] complaint. It's like a victim has a right to file a complaint. So, [1:01:13] complaints not a bad word. >> I mean, it's it's a concern. And yeah, I [1:01:18] see both. >> Yeah. Yeah. just the city. Okay. [1:01:21] » I think the uh thing is we can do that. We can say that we had [1:01:27] not not the citizen of the of the city complaints about that [1:01:32] cleaned up. >> You know, we're trying to city here turn [1:01:36] into a junkyard notice of town. A lot of these people are bringing in these old [1:01:41] cars and junk and they're parking them out in the streets and park them on the [1:01:45] roads. I mean I I mean I drive by every day and I see citations can be written [1:01:50] every day or at least warranty tell move the vehicle send [1:01:55] » we don't have the income either for even part time nowadays nobody's going to [1:01:59] chase that money they chase the money you know that [1:02:02] » oh yeah >> and there was an organization that quit [1:02:05] doing donations I'm not even going to name so I'm not going to get into that [1:02:09] so that put a dent in that help too so but so we had to go a different route So [1:02:15] » we got city ordinances that covers it. We enforce the city ordinance. We can [1:02:20] cover it. >> As long you have to have the peace [1:02:22] officer license of them because they're state laws or they're [1:02:27] » Yeah, I understand that. You know, the city doesn't need a [1:02:31] fulltime peace officer. I understand that. [1:02:32] » No, >> we need to go back like the old days, [1:02:35] get back to where we've got our own city marshal [1:02:39] forcing forcing the city ordinance not to go running bad guys down the street. [1:02:43] Well, then you get charged with failure to act. That's the rule. Such [1:02:47] that that's state statute because the marshals is why there's no marshalss [1:02:49] anymore constables because they weren't doing their damn job and that's what [1:02:53] happened. >> Okay. City enforcement. City. [1:02:56] » They have code enforcement. That's what it's called. I'm just saying because [1:02:59] it's changed over years. It's evolved. >> We all everything evolved over time. [1:03:05] » Well, we don't need a chief of police or no deputy working in town here. [1:03:09] » I mean, being spent for nothing. Well, you know how it was. [1:03:13] » Well, I got rid of bills. I'm not even going to go into that cuz my lawyer can [1:03:17] speak on that point, but I'm not even going to get into that mess. So, go [1:03:22] ahead, Mr. We had several complaints. I know [1:03:27] several complaints about we can look at the ordinance. [1:03:33] We can direct the mayor say it. We can draft up an orance and present it [1:03:41] to that person asking for relief. >> That's all we have to do. [1:03:56] » Let me finish this. No one's [1:04:00] » there. No sense in us getting in a tizzy over that [1:04:05] » without talking about all of us. >> We got to make sure we get it right. [1:04:12] You remember right? So it's presented correctly so we can get the person to do [1:04:19] what three of you have already suggested. Maybe it may be and we might [1:04:27] have to do a little work with you. [1:04:32] » Yeah, I got a problem. I see that >> there's so many [1:04:39] I wanted to just [1:04:45] say >> there's a lot of things we could [1:04:48] complain about in this town. Like a bubble home that's down there on [1:04:51] Cemetery Road and stuff. There's just so many of those things that he's talking [1:04:54] about drafting a a ordinance, but we do have specific ordinances about high [1:04:58] grass or whatever it is. But maybe we should have an ordinance that addresses [1:05:02] these really later issues of some real big abuse. Uh and and complaints about [1:05:08] this type of stuff, you know? I mean, there's several things that we could [1:05:12] address with one ordinance. You know what I mean? Yeah, more detail about [1:05:20] bring it up to speed up a new ordinance that says okay guys [1:05:26] ordinance 939 is petty offenses. So petty offenses are like grass [1:05:30] infractions. So that'd be your ordinances. So that's been consolidated [1:05:34] already. So your foundation set >> right there. It's just how to go about [1:05:39] it with state legislator and the red tape so you don't violate it. Nobody [1:05:44] violates it. nobody gets in trouble because that's the last thing anybody [1:05:47] wants is fined or taking upon themselves to be wired around here because that's [1:05:53] the problem most have that's what they have and I mean and if you turn the [1:05:57] other way as a cop get charged now failure act is a crime you know and it's [1:06:03] it's just that's a society we live in stigma and it sucks it really does you [1:06:07] know that I mean I wish there was a marshall I wish they kept that [1:06:11] » I think we know the truth >> you They said these reinforcement cities [1:06:16] they're just letting them come in and throw junk vehicles all around bringing [1:06:21] in those weeds growing up past the mill [1:06:26] line just growing up running through the roadways. That's the second issue I got [1:06:31] the second [1:06:35] I talked about talked to you about here about four or five months ago [1:06:39] » about a driveway there at Rustler's driveway. Well, it's all growing up with [1:06:42] trees and weeds. And it's running down. Well, the ditch is not catching it. It's [1:06:47] coming out on the road. It's washing down the road, washing out Ed's driveway [1:06:52] and washing over and d and it's washing out my ditch line to my driveway. It's [1:06:57] not going through the ditch. It's going around it and worsening it out. [1:07:01] » Matter of fact, it's eating underneath the road. I just took a picture just to [1:07:04] show you. You got it. I can [1:07:10] » see we can get that state representative involving in there too [1:07:15] and it's running around the edge of the road. [1:07:32] We need [1:07:37] I understand [1:07:44] there is a state [1:08:03] something like [1:08:13] They pay taxes [1:08:17] on their own. >> That's new. [1:08:22] Joker did so across from here as a hub cuz when [1:08:29] D found a hub or AT&T I think the talk was caught because it passed over the [1:08:35] gold copper the phone lines >> under there supposed to be ripping our [1:08:40] discont [1:08:46] there's a triangle when they mark that it's a high risk there two foot there's [1:08:51] one at three and a half. You were taking that. [1:08:54] » So, it was such a high risk that I was going to have to keep going down that [1:08:58] hill. >> That would be the place to go, but it's [1:09:00] running off that hill, running straight down the road, missing the dig line all [1:09:04] together. >> So, missing this old gate. [1:09:06] » Yeah, that ain't even got up to it. They got [1:09:10] it cut off right there at the end of the road. [1:09:12] » So, it's all running out. >> Okay. This outlet, [1:09:19] » huh? Let me check and see if still there. [1:09:23] » Yeah. >> Okay. [1:09:33] » Without [1:09:37] clear trees back out where they grown up. They grown out about that big and [1:09:41] they grew up. They just clear the trees all the way and put rock coming down [1:09:45] that hill there. >> Take care of the issue, you know. You [1:09:48] talking about Bruce was right here. That spruce tree split [1:09:51] » right there at the spruce and there's Russell's driveway. [1:09:54] » Yeah. >> Well, doc had a tree just to fall down [1:09:57] and knock that power line that runs across there and knock it down and rust [1:10:00] the driveway. So, he took the logs and wood and just shoved it off the ditch [1:10:04] here. So, I choked up the ditch even more. [1:10:07] » Oh, this there's a ditch in here, >> right? That's a ditch down [1:10:11] for years. If I go clean that up with my activator and all that and redish and [1:10:17] grub that wouldn't drain better. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. That's what that's all [1:10:20] I'm just [1:10:24] » It ain't going in the ditch. It's going down the road behind that burn it and [1:10:29] turn it >> right. [1:10:30] » Would that work right there? >> It may work, may not. We don't know. [1:10:35] Just slow it down. Right. It's going to help a lot. [1:10:39] » Let me call Dra and see what's under there before I start because I know up [1:10:43] above there's a podium and >> that ditch that I'm show you. It's [1:10:47] already going underneath the >> Yeah, it is under warranty. You're [1:10:53] talking about over. >> Yeah, heard my driveway. [1:10:56] » Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. [1:11:01] » Your phone's on different mine. [1:11:07] right there. See you. >> Okay. [1:11:09] » You can see where it's going. It's coming in behind my driveway. [1:11:14] » It's hit what it's doing over and hit those driveway [1:11:19] out. It's coming across the road. Coming in. You see where it's eating underneath [1:11:23] the >> Yeah. There. [1:11:24] » But don't get take care. It's going to keep [1:11:26] » underneath the road. So, I have a look at that cuz I can see the alligator in [1:11:32] the patch. Is that a patch or is that just the sun right there? [1:11:35] » Yeah, that's just sun right there. >> Does alligator stop there? Alligator? [1:11:39] » No, that's an old shirt on. He used to come through there going up to Ry's. [1:11:43] » Oh, okay. >> Is that Ry's old truck on top of it or [1:11:47] your >> That's Ry's. [1:11:49] » Randy still has all that. >> I didn't know he could be. That's a good [1:11:53] truck. >> Yeah, it is. That's good. I know it's [1:11:56] it's it's an eye story right now, but it could be revenge money cuz [1:12:02] he's got another one. >> Let me see. [1:12:06] » Let me see if I can get [1:12:16] » appreciate that. Thank you guys. I mean, as long as we work together [1:12:21] instead of against each other, it really does. [1:12:24] It's all we asked for. You know, >> something we're never going to [1:12:28] accomplish. Some we never do. >> You have you have an issue with it. You [1:12:32] just bring it to us and try to work through it. [1:12:37] » So, but I always stepped a little toes and I don't want to be in trouble. [1:12:40] » Sometimes it may not work. If you do it, it may not work. You never know. I mean [1:12:44] there's times you it's >> and that where that collet is we're [1:12:48] going to need some more rock put in there that cover where they put in that [1:12:53] cover that they read this asphalt. >> It's going to need more rock in that [1:12:57] ditch line. It's all sunk in that telephone is still around. [1:13:02] » They they owe us 32. So I'm guess [1:13:09] that what it is to four. >> Yeah. Yeah. [1:13:12] cuz I know you work at the [1:13:20] » Okay. >> Okay. Thanks a lot. [1:13:23] » See you guys. >> See you. Have a safe night. [1:13:26] » Have a good one, guys. >> See you. [1:13:43] reaction. Are you just here? [1:13:48] » I don't know if you want to try [1:13:53] » finish business. [1:14:06] » Oh, I'm sorry. You want this? talking about update [1:14:11] city. >> Yes. [1:14:17] » We talked about changing to another one that focus more on clerical and [1:14:23] office management and uh we did that and I think I let everybody know that we we [1:14:29] contacted express employment. I talked with their employees plus a regional [1:14:33] manager. uh the manager uh listened to what we had to say as far as the skills [1:14:39] to utilize you for the position. And then we had made number one being [1:14:44] QuickBooks. Although we know a lot of different offices run different ways, we [1:14:47] want somebody with experience in the QuickBook area. But we went over [1:14:50] accounts payable and receivable and positions required uh to familiarize [1:14:54] them with sunshine laws and regulations and budgeting and banking. I we really [1:14:59] went through the details with them over the phone before sending them the uh our [1:15:04] our approved list of qualifications and they ran those numbers and uh got back [1:15:10] with us and they have two candidates that they feel that they're ready to [1:15:14] send here uh for us to interview. Uh the difference between uh express employment [1:15:20] uh and our previous employer is the search person search company is that um [1:15:27] they don't place anybody full-time more than 90 days. That person's placed [1:15:32] receive us a fit. They're temporary. That 90 after the 90 days is over with. [1:15:36] If we feel like we want to offer them a position after the 90 days, we're able [1:15:39] to do that. Otherwise, they will take that person out and put someone else in. [1:15:43] But still we have the interview process ahead of that. So we can choose that [1:15:48] person and uh so uh and also what's different with this agency is there's no [1:15:55] upfront deposit like we had before which was quite extensive amount of big amount [1:16:00] of money and regardless if we hired them or not um if they failed in their duties [1:16:06] or we had to replace them we had to pay another fee you know to get uh other [1:16:10] employees. this you kind of pay as you go, but in the end the fee can be as [1:16:14] high as our last employment agency. I sent out to everybody on uh their emails [1:16:22] um and if you haven't received I'll send it again cuz I understand some people [1:16:25] didn't get it. Um what they had to what they had to say about it. Um but [1:16:34] the child care is 90 days temporary positions but the people are qualified [1:16:39] uh office managers uh you know clerical managers and they have uh you know clerk [1:16:46] experiences or qualifications but this is the last um I told them that I would [1:16:50] be meeting with the board tonight and that I would uh bring this back to [1:16:54] everyone's attention and they sent me this message real quick see if I here Uh [1:17:00] I asked them to put in a nutshell what it is exactly that they do and they said [1:17:04] uh they want to follow up with us with condensed uh information provided that [1:17:09] express employment professionals provides temporary evaluation [1:17:17] hire and direct hire staffing solutions for professional administrative and [1:17:22] commercial positions. We uh connect businesses with qualified candidates, [1:17:26] helping reduce hiring times, over uh turnover, and staffing cost while [1:17:31] meeting their work force needs. So, what they're saying is that they're handling [1:17:36] all the pre-in handling all the pre-qualifications like before, but [1:17:39] we've set it up through the mirror for the like we did last time interview [1:17:42] process. The board of course would do the interviewing like we did last time, [1:17:46] which was pretty successful, and uh we would pick that candidate. Whatever we [1:17:50] pay the candidate uh is up to us. Uh but they will add a fee on top of that [1:17:57] hourly wage. So this is just an example. You know, if we paid somebody $10 an [1:18:01] hour, they may charge us $15 an hour to have that employee for the 90 days. [1:18:06] After the 90 days, we can offer that same amount of money we're paying them [1:18:10] or set them into a a salary that suits our budget. And uh but it does give us [1:18:16] an opportunity to see the fit. >> Yeah, it does. [1:18:19] So, but anytime we're working with these people, I got to tell you, is expensive. [1:18:23] And the mayor set aside money in the last last time we talked about I don't [1:18:28] know if we still have that money or not for the we didn't ever spend it uh uh [1:18:34] for the last uh organization we worked through, but uh [1:18:39] if we still have that type of funding, we can move with this. But I would like [1:18:44] for them to come in and talk with us u in a more finite way about how we get [1:18:48] our arms around um the cost involved. You know, because I don't think I'm [1:18:54] qualified, you know, I could pass along what they tell me, but I think it might [1:18:57] be better for us to talk directly to a regional person with express before we [1:19:02] get into a contract that we may not understand. [1:19:04] » Yeah. >> And when I read their contract, it's [1:19:07] mindbggling, you know. And uh so I told him, I said, "Look, I [1:19:12] don't want to take that contract to the board. I want you to summarize what what [1:19:15] you're doing." She said, "Well, basically, we're a placement agency. [1:19:18] We're going to find someone that qualifies to your standards. We're going [1:19:21] to do the process and we're going to send them to you, let you pick them out. [1:19:24] We're going to let you hire them on a temporary basis for 90 days, and we're [1:19:27] going to charge you x amount more than what you're paying them an hour to have [1:19:32] them for 90 days. Sounds pretty fair, but uh but that remains to be seen. you [1:19:38] know, if we can afford it. I mean, if we're paying somebody uh $20 an hour and [1:19:42] their fee is to put $10 more dollars on that, that's $30 an hour and next thing [1:19:46] you know, we're spending almost $300 a day for a 10-hour employee. You know, [1:19:52] » employees at >> Exactly. So, um [1:19:55] » two and a half. >> So, here's what I'd like to see us do, [1:19:58] if y'all don't mind. I'd like to send out that contract again to all of you [1:20:02] guys, let you read the detail involved and if you have any questions about [1:20:07] that, you can call them directly or you can address that question to me and let [1:20:11] me be the one to funnels the question to them. They'll be your contact for them [1:20:14] and I'll get back and answer each one of your questions [snorts] and I'll send [1:20:18] that out to you tonight. >> All right, that's it from me, Mr. Mayor. [1:20:23] » All right. That would be very >> Does anybody have any questions? [1:20:30] » I just think it'd be nice he started this process. He has a really good feel [1:20:35] on it. Let him continue. We have questions with Senator Bryant and let [1:20:40] him hold the questions. >> Yeah, [1:20:44] » it's extensive. I read it and it's it's pretty [1:20:49] » and it keeps you moving stuff. All right. So, we good on that? So, all [1:20:56] right. Second B, status on the park project and location and setting up a [1:21:02] meeting with the other vendor and options. [1:21:06] Doc, you're kind of involved in that logistics. [1:21:10] » Uh, can you hear me? >> Yeah, I can hear you. [1:21:13] » Yep. >> All right. So, I've had uh I mean I had [1:21:18] a brief discussion with Brian over the prior at the beginning of the weekend [1:21:23] about uh coming in and selecting some more equipment and I I had a secondary [1:21:28] meeting with um Melvin regarding the same issues [clears throat] we are the [1:21:37] site location is selected it's on the wall at port uh roughly and the uh city [1:21:46] plats are underneath there from St. John that uh give the specific location with [1:21:52] the [clears throat] property locations. Uh and to summarize [1:22:00] uh there's three issues. One of them, well kind of there's probably more, but [1:22:06] one of them is uh I took down with uh Eric and [1:22:14] uh Charlie and Frankie. The um uh former playground and it's now located [1:22:24] uh the roof section was in the driveway in front of city hall that needs a [1:22:28] little work done on it. the metal components, the smaller ones are in the [1:22:33] the uh water former water treatment plant next to city hall. And then [1:22:38] there's some uh items parked on Third Street. Uh so we're all down. Everything [1:22:46] got disassembled nicely without hard with hardly any damage. The next steps [1:22:52] on that is to clean it and paint it uh so that it's ready to install. Then uh [1:22:59] while that's going on, then the site prep needs to be done down in that field [1:23:05] to stake it uh with the transit, you know, to locate some stuff to locate [1:23:11] things. Well, we're going to have a playground with one swing set is what we [1:23:16] got. Had two toddler seats on it. We're going to need to purchase another their [1:23:21] swing set and one of those coil spring things that wiggles back and forth with [1:23:25] my kids cuz they like that so much. And we're going to have a smalls size soccer [1:23:30] field because that requires minimal outlays other than goalposts [1:23:36] uh so that uh kids can practice there. It won't be full size for adults, but [1:23:42] for kids it'll be just fine. And other municipalities maybe come out and [1:23:47] utilize it because people are always looking for fields. We know in Pigville [1:23:52] they have a monster soccer field there and it's heavily utilized. We're not [1:23:56] going to have that in our fair city, but we'll have something to use that'll uh [1:24:02] mesh with some of the other things. >> Then, uh the park district in Arnold [1:24:07] also gave us a couple park benches. So, uh, the intention is to we'll have a [1:24:14] small parking space next to the gravel road off of Highway 61 and we'll put [1:24:20] some benches there and do some tree plantings [1:24:24] coming up in the fall next month, two months. We have some [1:24:30] larger cypus trees now that Adam has that heavier equipment that can be dug [1:24:35] out and transplanted in a couple spots just to give quick shade. And then on [1:24:40] the other area off of Fourth Street, there'll be another entry that'll be a [1:24:44] walk-in off of Fourth Street. It's slightly sloped to ready. And I've [1:24:49] spoken with Adam about uh building that up a little bit more. So, it's a gradual [1:24:54] slope and it can be accessed easily for equipment to come in and mow. And I have [1:24:59] some uh Lombardi poppplers, [1:25:04] which are tall, skinny, very fast growing trees. that uh we'll bracket [1:25:11] that entry, you know, like two archways so that uh that you'll know where it is [1:25:18] and you know, it'll just be like three small trees on each side uh to frame it [1:25:24] a little bit. And uh and then the uh Arnold's people gave us a book with uh [1:25:32] another vendor who they've worked with. prices are probably going to be in the [1:25:37] same ballpark, but we can we need to get with them as well because [1:25:43] I think they're more local or in Chesterfield. Uh and uh and then kind of [1:25:48] button things up to have some things installed. Our as we mentioned at prior [1:25:53] meetings, the bids and estimates that we got uh from the concern in Firmington [1:26:00] was way over budget and uh a lot of it was you know uh rubber mulch and labor [1:26:08] and stuff like that which drove up the price to be uh more than twice what we [1:26:15] have allotted for the project. We're going to need to use some of the money [1:26:19] for that project for excavation for concrete. We're doing some drilling with [1:26:25] a post hole auger or something to put to make post. There's probably about 12 [1:26:30] holes that get uh excuse me, probably about 16 holes that get dug in the [1:26:35] ground that uh a little, you know, once the metal components are placed on [1:26:41] gravel and leveled, then we'll fill it in with some concrete so that it's [1:26:46] stable. There's uh one piece under the central pillar of concrete that's [1:26:52] probably going to take 3/4 of a yard of concrete. And I don't know what concert [1:26:57] is these days, but it's probably about $200 a yard. I would imagine it [1:27:01] » is 169. Yeah. >> But [1:27:05] » it it's right now 160. I checked on it yesterday. [1:27:10] » Yeah. Okay. So, uh and then my and then they, you know, if it's less than a [1:27:17] certain amount, then they charge delivery fees. So, it probably ends up [1:27:21] being about $200 a yard. And I would estimate that we need probably two [1:27:27] yards, two and a half at the most to uh to seat everything, including the park [1:27:34] bench seats. Those are just little little things. And we're going to need [1:27:38] the manpower there. to do that. We might have to hire we've got some other people [1:27:44] that are concreers or something that uh do things quickly uh instead of uh [1:27:50] utilizing our staff that is not professionally trained in concrete [1:27:56] placement or whatever. So, I know it's not that complicated, but it has to be [1:28:00] super level and there has to be on a center pillar. There's probably about 8 [1:28:06] to 10 uh anchor bolts that need to be placed in the concrete and it needs to [1:28:10] be super level uh when it's done and then it can be just dropped in and [1:28:16] bolted in and assembled and uh the assembly should be pretty [1:28:21] straightforward. We did it. You know, it's going to be easier to [1:28:26] reassemble it than it was to disassemble it because when you're disassembling, [1:28:30] there's areas that are seized from corrosion or whatever it requires [1:28:35] [snorts] spraying and wrenching and torque, you [1:28:39] know, all this additional hardware to bust things loose. In the assembly [1:28:45] process, we'll order some new nuts and bolts to make things go quickly and then [1:28:50] use anti-sea [1:28:59] or whatever. We'll have that uh the pots playground with two swing sets, a soccer [1:29:08] field, and a few park benches. Then over on Third Street on the other end on the [1:29:14] bend where that big walnut tree or pecan tree is, I would like to purchase [1:29:20] another set of swings over there. There's kids that live on that end. And [1:29:26] uh swinging is great. And uh and maybe parallel bars that can be fabricated [1:29:33] with some uh galvanized metal. And uh that's [1:29:41] I think we'll probably have uh between 10 and 17,000 to spend with [1:29:50] installation of new equipment ballpark and uh the rest is going to be labor. We [1:29:58] got to re uh cover our expenses for fuel cost going up there and late. [1:30:06] giver, you know, for a week of employees, maybe I'll try to take the [1:30:10] thing down. And I haven't looked at Leslie will probably look at what the [1:30:14] labor costs on that was for the disassembly and uh and uh and then I'd [1:30:23] like to move forward pretty quickly with it, you know, so that by uh [1:30:29] midepptember, by third week of September, we have what we have [1:30:32] installed. And uh and uh the new stuff that we [1:30:38] contract out should be installed by in October, which will put us in under [1:30:44] deadline. I don't think we're going to have to buy [1:30:47] a lot brand new. We should have enough. It's just a few little things to uh [1:30:56] » have a question for you. >> Um are we still considering using the [1:31:00] the equipment that we have down at the old park put in over there? [1:31:05] » Uh yeah. You know, uh, Rosa, I haven't I haven't gone down there in a while to [1:31:12] look at what's there, but we you and I and Brian have discussed using that [1:31:17] earlier. And uh I still Thanks for mentioning that cuz I I didn't even [1:31:24] consider that uh at this moment. Let's think of the other. So, uh you there's [1:31:32] some picnic benches down there and a uh a shade structure or something, isn't [1:31:38] there? >> And what a swing set down there as well. [1:31:42] » There's a swing set down there. And then we have the hardware to make another uh [1:31:46] teeter totter. >> So, that's all there. [1:31:49] » We would just have to make the board for it. [1:31:52] » All right. Yeah. And I know there's we probably get by getting some of those [1:31:57] pavilions taken apart too eventually, maybe next year. [1:32:00] » Yeah. I mean, since you live down there, if you wouldn't mind taking some phone [1:32:04] snapshots of that of them and sending it to the group uh and I'll, you know, I'll [1:32:10] put assemble uh I'll work that into the whole thing. [1:32:15] » Okay. >> And I got a question for you. The [1:32:19] comment question. The soccer field is a great idea. Um, how do we know it's a [1:32:23] soccer field going down there to play? [1:32:28] » Uh, and um, well, you can you can use lime. [1:32:34] They used back in the old days, they use lime in a uh, you know, to chalk out a a [1:32:39] rectangle. >> Yeah. [1:32:40] » Uh, put a circle on it. And then uh, then now they have these breaking [1:32:46] ingredients that in there. So that maybe require a little extra labor cuz you got [1:32:51] to both mow and do that before a game. But the posts the the goalposts [1:32:57] themselves should identify it. You know, it's pretty obvious to see them and it's [1:33:02] not a huge field either. you know, it's >> uh [1:33:06] » uh so you know, with that and the post maybe once a month or depends on the [1:33:13] utilization of it, you know, like if someone's going to use it and they call [1:33:16] city hall and said, "We, you know, we'd like to use it, then the city will, [1:33:22] you know, prep the field uh or they can uh with line, you know, put the lines in [1:33:28] for it. It's not like a football field, >> right? I was just thinking that um [1:33:35] if I was a kid playing, I would know if I was out of bounds [1:33:38] or something like that. So, it's not necessarily we have football markers. [1:33:42] » When I was a kid, we didn't have lines. We just had grass and [1:33:46] » bases or something. >> Yeah. And you had someone you put stuff [1:33:51] down in the corners and then uh the raft would call it. [1:33:56] » Yeah. >> But now there's lines. So, [1:33:59] Yeah, I was thinking on the corners there's these uh you can get these [1:34:03] canvas bags that are filled with sand, the corner bags and just to mark the [1:34:07] corners so that you know you can eye you can eyeball if you're out of line or not [1:34:11] but just to give them some type of structure because I think it's a great [1:34:14] idea to have a soccer field and I think a lot of kids play soccer you know if [1:34:19] they have a field to play in but um if we just better defined I think the [1:34:23] boundary for them that might be cool. Um, I understand you're going to have a [1:34:28] go with the >> what they call soccer. [1:34:36] » I wasn't soccer player, but uh that's that'll help find it too. So, and [1:34:41] they're painted. >> Yeah. And it's basically a practice [1:34:45] pitch, you know, practice field. So, uh unless, you know, they decide to have [1:34:50] toddlers have, you know, their regular games there. And in that scenario, you [1:34:55] know, we can spray it, you know, spray the lines. [1:34:59] » Uh, and but for everyday use, I don't think you really need it. You just need [1:35:04] the vocals and, uh, uh, they, you know, a five or six. If you watch those kids, [1:35:13] they're just kind of running around with little windup toys. Uh, anyway, you [1:35:18] know, >> uh, they don't really need the line. [1:35:21] They just need to be running and practicing their kicking and dribbling [1:35:25] and stuff. >> Yeah. Thank you. [1:35:31] » I don't know. Jody Jo, >> I I got it. Okay. [1:35:36] » Well, she was holding it. >> All right. Cool. All right. Moving on. [1:35:41] Doc, that is >> uh you know, as far as I know, but uh I [1:35:46] have in that book that I gave you the other day, the manual for the assembly [1:35:50] of the new thing. It's got the manual for the assembly of all kinds of toys in [1:35:54] there. And in front of it, there's a number. [1:35:59] That's >> Yeah, just pass that down. The [1:36:04] blueprints in the installation manual. >> Yeah, I can call [1:36:10] that should be free tomorrow morning to do that. [1:36:15] » All right. Is that it on that? >> Uh, yeah. other than uh you know all [1:36:22] hands on deck on getting it done quickly uh so that [1:36:28] time tick tock on this it's gone on pretty long as it is and uh now we got [1:36:34] to get moving with all [1:36:40] construction targets with Doc when you come back in town because I'd like to [1:36:44] get with you to go down there. >> Yeah. Okay. No problem. [1:36:51] I'll be back uh by I got to return my rental card next Friday. So, I'll be [1:36:57] back by Friday. >> Next Friday. [1:37:01] » Yeah. >> Okay. [1:37:05] » All right. Moving on. [1:37:11] » What are we doing on that? >> I'm still looking for all the stuff that [1:37:15] they finished. How many? [1:37:21] » 14. [1:37:27] You got anything to add to that? Down here during that audit. [1:37:35] There's been so much stuff. >> The audit. You me and you were both down [1:37:38] here helping her finding certain things that they needed. [1:37:42] » So I can refresh my memory. refresh your [1:37:46] memory things on >> like some of the [1:37:53] receipts and all that looking for. >> I know they reported that we need to [1:37:58] change the password which again has been something I was [1:38:03] afraid to do and that's what I told them. But [1:38:05] » we're getting ready to change that. We updated system. [1:38:09] Um what else did they tell us? [1:38:14] Everything needs to be more >> detailed in QuickBooks instead of just [1:38:21] transferring. It needs to be transferred from this to a [1:38:26] » for this reason. >> Yeah, [1:38:29] » we like to do that. >> Yeah, [1:38:35] » but you know I want to call that a path. Not a path. It's a trail I guess what [1:38:41] you call it. when you it's like you're showing where you're taking where you [1:38:44] took the money from and where you're putting it and where it's going. Right [1:38:47] now, we're just not doing that. We we taken it out. I'm putting it there. [1:38:51] » It's Well, it's not that it's not there's not a drill. It's the codes are [1:38:56] not detailed enough. I always put a memo as to why [1:39:00] » it's the coding that they need more detail with. [1:39:03] » Well, why don't we try to take a look at it before you and I take a look. Okay. [1:39:09] » Could be great. Yeah, we'll look at the coding. [1:39:12] » Okay, there's a lot of coding. They're same numbers and they got.128. [1:39:17] You know that >> it's just over the years we've added so [1:39:21] much to it. We haven't taken some out. What do you think? [1:39:29] » Show me what you [1:39:38] » All right. the budget status on consolidating and consolidating [1:39:43] QuickBooks which we just discussed with Brian with that pathway. So [1:39:49] supposed to help clean it up also. >> Okay. [1:39:52] » I don't know her name or [1:39:56] I have to get it again. [1:40:02] » She has Mary has information I can get from her. [1:40:05] » Okay. >> But her name number and all that [1:40:08] » Yeah. see if she can clean her up. >> Yeah, cuz it's [1:40:13] » it's a crapshoot. >> Yeah. Um we're still working on the [1:40:17] budget. Quick books went down. It just wouldn't open. Um we were lucky [1:40:24] to even have it reconciled. >> Yeah. [1:40:26] » Because it's just overloaded. It's It's just at its max. [1:40:30] » Yeah. And so I do have to update with that last [1:40:39] Monday. >> Are you QuickBooks desktop version or [1:40:42] online? >> The desktop. [1:40:45] » Don't switch. >> I'm I'm not. Yeah, this was just a [1:40:48] update to the desktop. >> Okay. I was going to say don't go don't [1:40:52] go. From what I hear from the clerks that I found the online version, [1:40:57] » they wish they'd never done it. So >> they were trying to call me and try and [1:41:02] talk me into that. >> Yeah, I've heard that that is not a good [1:41:05] idea. Talked to Darla about that in more detail, but um at the clerk's conference [1:41:12] this summer, a lot of them have issues with online. [1:41:17] » What do you think, Mary about cleaning up like we just talked about, but that [1:41:22] there's there's a lot of dead space in there. [1:41:26] » So I am not the QuickBooks expert. Um, but listening to conversations that [1:41:32] happen around me and having talked to the lady that QuickBooks, uh, we [1:41:38] actually did a QuickBooks training at our, um, Clark's conference this summer. [1:41:44] So, um, sometimes I think it's easier if you're [1:41:52] doing desktop, I think you can create another company and set it up, right? [1:41:58] And then instead of trying to go back and undo or redo things that were not [1:42:05] done properly, >> I just fixed up. [1:42:08] » Yeah. So that's that's why I really want somebody to come in and look at what you [1:42:12] have and figure out what's going on and then [1:42:16] » figure out what the best path is forward. [1:42:19] » I think you're right about setting up a new company. You know, you don't have to [1:42:22] fool with anything but brand new and it was coated within there. And after [1:42:27] you're finished, you wipe that other out. [1:42:29] » No, you don't wipe it out. You don't deal with it anymore, [1:42:33] » right? >> You need to keep your financial records, [1:42:37] » right? I mean, >> yeah, [1:42:38] » you don't >> you close the you close that fiscal [1:42:41] year. >> You just set it to the side [1:42:46] » and it won't wipe out anyway. >> That's a good thing. [1:42:51] » Anyway, we just once we take out of that build a new new system, we don't have to [1:42:57] go back in there again. >> Yeah. We just set it to the side. [1:43:01] » I guess it could get in there set it to the side or something, but [1:43:04] » Well, yeah. especially with the because the audit that they're doing right now [1:43:08] is not for the the [clears throat] fiscal year you're currently in. So, you [1:43:12] will still need that data and everything for your auditors to come in and audit [1:43:17] this time. >> That could be there. That's always [1:43:20] there. >> Yeah. Just one other question since [1:43:23] you're talking about this. So, this person that you do you have someone that [1:43:26] works with us directly about QuickBooks? Yeah, [1:43:30] » it's a it's a lady that um does I was hoping I could find her. Yep. Kelly [1:43:37] Dwire Der and um [1:43:42] yeah, she she works for a number of communities. she actually does their [1:43:46] bookkeeping for them. But, um, I asked her if she would come in and and help [1:43:50] you guys get straightened out because they've been, you know, multiple clerks [1:43:54] and >> and everything is everybody's done [1:43:57] things differently and sometimes not well. So, um, she said that she would be [1:44:03] willing to come down, take a look at it, see what she can do, [1:44:06] » especially the duplication of things. That's the confusing. [1:44:09] » Yeah. So, uh, but don't do anything, Leslie, until we talk with Kelly. [1:44:17] » I'm not messing with nothing. >> I'm too afraid I'm going to screw up. I [1:44:21] just do what I know and I leave it alone. That's [1:44:27] you know, >> I mean, it takes 5 minutes sometimes [1:44:31] just get the companies open up. They're just so bogged down. [1:44:34] » Yeah. And I think, you know, setting up um some custom reports that you guys can [1:44:40] use to figure out where you are in your budget, what your revenues are, you [1:44:45] know, that kind of reporting I think would be very um good to have for the [1:44:50] council going forward. [1:44:55] » So, are books up now and running? How's that? [1:44:59] » Well, they kicking me off that night. When Cody came down and it went on [1:45:04] download, it kept just saying uh some error code and it just said it [1:45:10] needed to reboot, reboot, reboot. Finally, internet took after, you know, [1:45:14] everything's kind of I don't know what internet [1:45:20] or an external antenn. [1:45:27] And then how's it been working? I mean it works like it normally does [1:45:32] take him 10 days to load. Otherwise I mean I can brew a whole pot of coffee [1:45:40] from start to finish before the page load up. Otherwise it runs just fine [1:45:44] once I can get into it. >> Okay. I haven't been in that in a long [1:45:49] time. I'd like to go back in there with you just to see what it's about. Okay. [1:45:54] And then I still think we're going to need Kelly's assistance. holy. [1:45:59] » Yeah, >> I don't know enough about it to to [1:46:02] present >> and I'm going to be a little obsolete [1:46:05] about some things too. It's been so long that I understand it and uh but I do [1:46:10] understand a lot has to do with duplication [1:46:13] said they couldn't find where to put it. They just created count. Yeah, it was [1:46:17] 0.1. I seen I think one of them had zero in it and 10 lines and nothing that I [1:46:23] can't believe. >> I just like it was the code in the.16 [1:46:29] like this whole three sections of information. [1:46:33] » It's a numbers notable order or anything. [1:46:36] » I think we put a few extra eyes on it. We can figure something out. [1:46:40] » Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. All right. [1:46:44] Mary, anything else? Anybody else? [1:46:48] » I just sent you and Lesie to her card. >> Okay. [1:46:53] So, this the same card I had before. [1:46:57] » Yeah. >> You just have to carefully turn your [1:47:00] phone. >> Well, I do turn. [1:47:04] » I got down. [1:47:08] » New business. Um, we need to decide check in on how to be [1:47:15] more proficient and clock in and clock out process to keep track of the [1:47:20] personnel and hours of work. Oh, with open time clock like uh we currently [1:47:26] have um [1:47:29] using a tablet that works centralized clock in at city hall and it takes a [1:47:35] picture so nobody else can clock in for them. [1:47:39] And that way we don't have all this gap that's 52%. [1:47:45] So we can actually get a decent number in controllable hours. [1:47:52] So >> mayor, are you talking about a new [1:47:56] system or the system? >> The same system. It's just they would [1:47:59] have to come here. >> Yeah. [1:48:01] » They use it at >> up. We use open time clock also but we [1:48:05] have a tablet or iPad that's on the wall but we have to go in put our information [1:48:11] in put where we're working in the like I it's Mary cuz they all facilities [1:48:18] » and before they will clock you in and take the picture. [1:48:20] » That sounds great. And it's the central location where you have to [1:48:24] » Yeah. It has to be right here not outside of here. Now you can change jobs [1:48:27] once that's integrated. >> Yeah. But you cannot clock out unless [1:48:32] you're at that main. >> So it just basically just keeps track of [1:48:39] just that whole day frame, not individually like we're here at this [1:48:44] time and we're here at this time. So it's just an 8 hour. [1:48:47] » No, it keeps track if they go in there. >> They don't have the access to clock out [1:48:53] anymore. It just says switch jobs instead of [1:48:55] » Oh, so they can still do that part. Okay. Gota [1:49:02] like so like Charlie goes to lunch on occasion. I don't know if he's going to [1:49:06] lunch >> because he I mean he can clock in and [1:49:09] out but I don't know that he's not around and off the clock. So if I try to [1:49:15] get a hold of him or Eric or whoever to do something I know they came in and [1:49:20] clocked out for lunch. >> That would be a good picture if they [1:49:24] came in and clocked out for that lunch time. [1:49:27] » Yeah. That way it takes a picture and it's there. Nobody can do it for them. [1:49:32] You biometric code or information, however you want to do it. I know Doc [1:49:37] donated one, but it's not doesn't work with that system. And [1:49:42] » it's like 15 years old now. [laughter] [1:49:45] » What? >> Like 15 years old? [1:49:47] » 15 years old now. Oh, >> I mean those tablets are cheap. [1:49:58] » They're getting cheaper. >> They're getting super cheap. Yeah, [1:50:02] » it's it's going to be an Android system and you download the app and then it's [1:50:06] on there. It's a geoence, so it has to be here. So, they can't manipulate. [1:50:11] It'll take that. Yeah, you can probably switch jobs, but it'll show you set it [1:50:16] their overage and alert for an overage and then everything else from that [1:50:22] » micro system. >> So, does it have where if they can still [1:50:27] do it on their phone, are we going to have or is it capable of setting a [1:50:32] perimeter like they cannot go outside, you know, I don't know, 10 miles or [1:50:37] whatever. I think there is like there's prohibited places on [1:50:43] geopens. I never did it that large. I just did it like centralized location. [1:50:50] Um but I can try to look into that. I'm sure they do. I mean geopence is [1:50:56] expandable. But I can do it from city limit to city limit or whatever the [1:51:02] board decides to do if they do decide to go with this. If not, it's fine. I'm [1:51:07] just trying to get more of that gap press, [1:51:13] » get more control over that. So we if they're getting close, I can see she can [1:51:19] see anybody can see that they're over or I can also set it where it tells them [1:51:24] they're they're not like on overtime they break the clock in and rounds up, [1:51:30] you know, all that stuff. insurance phone is unable is not compatible with [1:51:35] time clock. So she has to come in and tell me her hours so she can come in and [1:51:39] clock in and clock in to keep that information online. [1:51:45] » So yeah, her phone won't leave. It's just one of the [1:51:52] » Yeah, it's just call for question. >> Yes, sir. [1:51:56] » Call for the questions. Now it's time to vote. Yes. [1:51:59] » Oh, I I said you I thought you said I have a question. [1:52:02] » Well, there's too much discussion. We'll be discussing all night. [1:52:10] » Yeah. [1:52:14] » So, it's called >> motion. [1:52:18] We look at the availability of different types of equipment. [1:52:22] » It's it's round between 100 and 15%. >> Excuse me. [clears throat] Your question [1:52:27] has been called. We can't discuss. >> Excuse me. I'm the chair and I'm [1:52:31] » It doesn't matter who you are, Mr. Mayor. The question has been called. [1:52:35] It's time to vote it up or down or table it. We can come back at it. We can go [1:52:43] and do it. >> Then don't ask me about hours. [1:52:47] » I'm just telling you what you >> I'm just telling you. You called the [1:52:50] point question. I'm asking you, Melvin. How do we know how much it costs? [1:52:57] What's that we need? >> Well, we discussing this and we need to [1:53:01] vote. >> I know we need to vote tonight. New [1:53:04] business is we're voting. There is a need for the clock. We want to get one. [1:53:07] » We need to find out how much it cost >> and [1:53:11] » or do we have to approve motion is to move on that and revisit [1:53:18] another time? >> Yeah, we can call the question. So, just [1:53:21] vote to table this time. >> Yeah, we can table save all this time. [1:53:26] So motion made by seconded by Alvin Freley. [1:53:33] » Oh, you flipped that. Okay. He can't He can't make a motion on my motion. [1:53:39] » You called a question for a vote. He motioned. [1:53:43] » He can't motion anything. We have to vote on it. [1:53:47] » We We have to vote either up or that. >> How you going to vote on that? So you're [1:53:52] the primary motion. >> Yeah. Now would be a motion. [1:53:56] » Okay. I'm sorry. >> So you're making a motion to vote up or [1:54:00] down. >> Okay. Somebody please explain to me what [1:54:05] the heck is going on. What are we learning? [1:54:09] » I mean learn something if I don't know the questions [1:54:13] » are answered. Big point of information. >> We we kept just going around and around [1:54:19] in a circle. I call for the person to stop going around and around in a circle [1:54:24] and vote it up or down if we want if we're going to say yes or we're going to [1:54:31] say no >> to get this system. [1:54:34] » Yeah. >> Okay. But my thing is how why would I [1:54:37] say yes or no? Because if I don't know if this thing [1:54:42] » we can tell. >> Okay. That's what I want to find out. [1:54:44] Okay. >> Yeah. That's why we use the question to [1:54:48] stop this. You know, it's like a stalling [1:54:52] technique. Stop there. >> So, when it comes back, we redo it and [1:54:55] we'll be clear on what we need to do. We take [1:54:59] it off the table, vote on it, up down, >> am I be hindered to ask questions again, [1:55:08] though? Any questions I might have got about it? You would have you would have [1:55:13] had time to research your question and find out if there are any system that's [1:55:22] okay. [clears throat] [1:55:25] » I want to be able to break in one question. I know we're in the middle of [1:55:28] going up or down, but [clears throat] what I think what I think I'm hearing is [1:55:33] we want to do this. We got to vote whether or not we want to do it or not. [1:55:36] But the question was how much does it cost before we vote up or down? Because [1:55:40] it's No, >> he cut it. He called that before that. [1:55:45] So the point is just put both the table it and bring it back up after. [1:55:50] » Would you like me to explain this? >> Yes. [1:55:55] » I need to bring my >> So calling the question under Robert's [1:56:00] reserve order is a formal motion officially called the previous question [1:56:04] used to immediately stop debate and hold a vote on the current topic. It does [1:56:08] require a second. So once there is a motion and a second, you end debate. [1:56:17] The motion to end debate cannot be discussed or debated. [1:56:21] So then you call for a vote on ending the discussion. What that does is [1:56:29] it takes a twothirds vote. Debate stops immediately and the group proceeds to [1:56:33] vote on the main pending motion. If it fails under twothirds approval, [1:56:39] discussion on the original topic continues. [1:56:42] » Well, right [1:56:48] now [laughter] I want to move forward. [1:56:52] So, [clears throat] [1:56:54] » so are you taking this? [1:56:59] » I don't know. >> He made the motion to [1:57:04] » up or down vote. >> Up or down? [1:57:07] » And we'll just call it research. Okay. Is that fine, Mr. Felix? [1:57:13] Can we just call it a mo motion a point of information to call a vote for point [1:57:21] of >> information? [1:57:24] You either vote it out or you vote in here. [1:57:26] » You vote to end the debate. >> You're voting in debate. That's what I'm [1:57:30] saying. But >> are you okay? So we're voting to end [1:57:33] debate. [1:57:38] Second all favor [1:57:43] on favor one. [1:57:49] » I forgot. [laughter] [1:57:53] » So now you vote on the issue >> which is do you want to proceed with [1:58:00] obtaining this? >> Yeah, that's what I got. So that's the [1:58:05] motion that you vote on now. >> Yeah. So could we vote on looking into [1:58:09] the equipment package or what is that saying or that we use [1:58:15] » or the motion could be that um you table it pending information on cost [1:58:20] » and he was right that expand that expands it. So now you can make a [1:58:24] motion. Somebody can make a motion to take it or table it. [1:58:28] » I move that be tabled as we can. >> All right. Second [1:58:34] [laughter] [1:58:41] motion made second. All in favor? [clears throat] [1:58:44] » Any oppose? [1:58:50] » I [1:58:55] mean, [1:59:00] » Mr. Mayor, I'm going to have to excuse myself. I've been feeling well and I [1:59:03] want to go home and take my medicine. >> Okay. [1:59:07] » Meeting like this, but I got to go. >> That'll be fine. [1:59:09] » Right. >> Okay. [1:59:12] » All right. [1:59:24] One, two, three. [1:59:29] platform and office. >> Oh, [1:59:33] I all right. Moving on. [1:59:39] » Purchase of a 10 terb or larger external hard drive in order to better maintain [1:59:45] and keep records in office and mainstream future audits and to keep [1:59:50] better records for future city workers and officials. [1:59:55] Basically, it's an expandable hard drive and back up to city. [2:00:00] » It's backup for all files. So, when we have another audit, we're not digging [2:00:05] and trying to find everything that should be easily accessible. And it [2:00:10] helps free space on the computer to keep it from running so slow and bob down so [2:00:15] bad. Well, you're going to be searching [2:00:19] regardless of whether you have a portable hard drive uh or an actual hard [2:00:24] drive or what? >> Yes and no. [2:00:27] » If you file it correctly, you won't be looking so hard. [2:00:32] » You know what the current uh data requirement is for storage? [2:00:38] Well, the QuickBooks on the same platform or was it, you know, on [2:00:42] separate? Which one you talking about? Is it I'm counting QuickBooks and all [2:00:47] programs including the [2:00:49] » Yeah. So, what is what's being used right now? 10 10 terabytes seems kind of [2:00:55] high. >> We also have to keep everything. Some [2:00:58] things you can never destroy. Other things you have to keep for a minimum of [2:01:01] what? 5 years. >> 5 years. You have to keep all [2:01:07] » answer the question. >> We have a a terabyte right now and then [2:01:14] external or internal add-on I think for that one was the laptop [2:01:21] » I'm think it's already maxed. [2:01:26] » You probably don't need a 10. probably like a three or a five cuz you got to [2:01:30] figure in a couple years. They're going to change how they store data anyway. [2:01:35] It's always being upgraded. >> So, you don't have to dump a bunch of [2:01:41] money in something that's like three to four times more than what you need [2:01:47] because they'll probably have a quander or something in two years, you know? So [2:01:52] uh so I I would get a little bit more than what you need and then that's my [2:01:59] consideration thing and then you know in two years you dump that stuff into [2:02:04] another system or whatever get two threes or something and uh so you have [2:02:11] two backups at least one gets burned or fried or something. [2:02:18] just saying. [2:02:22] » So, it's on the board for motion. There you go. [2:02:29] » Well, the 10 was $500 for something, wasn't it? [2:02:32] » 350 I think is the most expensive. [2:02:38] » I know you got digital format. >> Sorry about that. Uh [2:02:45] on there, there's the formatting of There's a 8 terbte [2:02:52] 8. >> Um [2:02:55] 376 [2:03:02] you said 3 to four. Four would be 280 [2:03:08] some change. 5 terabte 800 for 27 8 terb for 279. [2:03:15] » Yeah. the 8 terb for 279 >> the five is cheaper than the four [2:03:21] » I know >> I don't understand that [2:03:25] » it's slash the price that's why >> oh is it [2:03:28] » is it >> slash or is it refurbished [2:03:31] that's my worry I don't >> refurbish we did not have a very good [2:03:36] one >> I won't ever buy refurbish cuz they tend [2:03:38] to fail >> I'm not being mean cuz we did get a [2:03:41] refurbished table [clears throat] [2:03:44] Um 305 for a 110. [2:03:50] » Yeah. Mary, what do you what do you think recommend? [2:03:54] » The thing on the refurbished or not, you don't know that until you ask. You're [2:03:58] just making stuff up right now. >> No, I'm I got a tablet and I use it for [2:04:04] or one and it failed and then the other reverb. [2:04:07] » No, no. I'm saying the one that you have priced for 5 terb for $217. [2:04:13] You don't know if that one's refurbished or not until you ask [2:04:17] » is it refurbished? >> I don't know. Is it safe? [2:04:20] » And then up above, >> what's going on up there? Cuz it says [2:04:24] capacity. Oh, I guess you have it circled 8 terb. Okay. [2:04:28] » Yeah, 8 terab. [2:04:32] » What capacity? [2:04:35] » Look above all the little icons that say one, four, five, six, whatever. It says [2:04:41] capacity eight, but that one's highlighted more for 376. But [2:04:46] » that's weird how they they're different. >> I don't know why different. [2:04:54] » So would a 5 ter, [2:04:58] » you know. I mean, you have to have a computer with say you're using this much [2:05:02] storage and you'll need this much, you know, like uh everybody's make like I'm [2:05:08] making up uh a reason for this. You're making up a you know, everybody has [2:05:15] their own concern and no one has the technical knowledge to say, "No, look, [2:05:23] you've got you're only using one or two, so you don't need a 10 or an eight. you [2:05:28] get a three, you know, and in 2 years you're going to want to, you know, the [2:05:34] thing will probably degrade some anyway and you'll want to get another one. [2:05:38] » Yeah. >> The buy buy 10 times more than what you [2:05:42] need because it's going to last longer thing is probably not going to apply [2:05:46] with this type of technology. >> Yeah, with the new SB3s and fours and [2:05:52] everything coming out. I mean, I can take you into my studio [2:05:57] right now and show you all kinds of storage devices that are extinct [2:06:03] » that were the one the hard drive that you're supposed to have for the time. [2:06:08] They got smaller and smaller. It's going to continually happen. [2:06:15] » I had the same one too like that it didn't work. You know, it works, but [2:06:21] that was the thing. So maybe, you know, Mary, if if there's that computer wiz [2:06:26] that you have that comes in that's going to consult us on the quick end, you [2:06:30] know, if you would have her do an assessment and say, "Look, this is how [2:06:34] much data you're using, and this much reserve will cover you, and then we can [2:06:41] just make a decision and go off of that." [2:06:45] I'll I'll send an email to uh Valerie and Darla and see if they have [2:06:51] recommendation. >> Yeah. [2:06:53] » And Mike Bzinger is our IT guy at work. I can ask him also. [2:06:59] » Yeah. I mean the argument is well if 10's good get 100 terabytes because it's [2:07:04] infinite amount of data. But, you know, in 2 years, you know, some a mouse can [2:07:11] urinate on it or something and things. Uh, [2:07:16] » we're just >> probably getting off better off getting [2:07:19] two backups, you know, like a smaller something above what you need with a [2:07:25] little surplus and then have two backups stored in different places. [2:07:34] That's recommended anyway. >> Yeah, that's right. [cough] That's Yeah. [2:07:40] Okay. So, [2:07:45] anybody make the decision on table that or what you want to do? So, [2:07:50] » I make a motion to table. Everybody got more information. How much data we are [2:07:54] still motion table information [2:08:02] » and then I would defer it or whatever. But I I would also, you know, instead of [2:08:10] waiting a whole month to decide this once we have the information, if we had [2:08:14] some way to just say, "Okay, that's the answer. We can need to order this $200 [2:08:21] piece of equipment. It's It's going to be under $500 probably. So, it should be [2:08:26] a decision that could be made quickly by the mayor and a couple in there. [2:08:32] » Yeah. And that's correct. >> But you can make the motion to allow the [2:08:37] purchase up to whatever amount you want. >> No, we can. Yeah. [2:08:43] » Yeah. So, we can make a motion. I can make my motion on that one or they can [2:08:50] » they can make Yeah, you guys can make that motion on how much to limit to [2:08:54] spend on it >> based on the finance. I would make a [2:08:59] motion to uh allow for let's say $450 uh to be budgeted for this uh and hope [2:09:10] be budgeted for this and that we can proceed with a decision once we have a [2:09:16] reasonable estimate of what data how much data storage we need. [2:09:21] » Is that including researching like consulting [2:09:26] the 450 We will be lecturing your consultants. [2:09:31] » Well, I didn't know. I was just making sure. [2:09:34] » I want regular to make sure. I just They don't charge. Third world warrior don't [2:09:40] charge. >> All right. Then then that's not an issue [2:09:44] then. >> Certainly going to decide 400 or 450. [2:09:50] » I would say 450. So you have enough for two units. [2:10:01] So, there's a motion for 450 by Doc. [2:10:10] Does anybody want to second? >> I'll second that. [2:10:14] » Motion made a second. All in favor. >> Is that an amendment? [2:10:18] » Huh? >> Was that amendment? Was that amendment? [2:10:23] » Doc made a motion. >> He made the original. Yeah, he made the [2:10:27] original motion and said [2:10:36] » so all in favor. >> Any oppos? [2:10:41] Motion carries. >> All right. [2:10:47] Water spray schedule review in accordance with ordinance 10:15. [2:10:52] And we uh and we take a break. We've been at this for [2:10:57] 2 hours and a half. My blood is now. [2:11:06] » Oh my goodness. [2:11:17] » You have to make a motion. Take a short recess unless [2:11:22] There we go. >> I make a motion to take a short recess [2:11:26] so that people can relieve themselves. [laughter] [2:11:31] » Motion consideration. [2:11:39] » I All right. Any oppose? I don't think so. Motion carries. [2:11:46] In 5 minutes, right? We're back in session. [2:11:53] Um, okay. [2:11:58] » Yeah, I know you're probably waterworks schedule review ordinance [2:12:04] 1015 in your package. You'll see that it was brought to my attention to [2:12:11] what brought to your attention. >> Um, that the billing from previous [2:12:20] When we change over from u the old system to the new system, the [2:12:27] some people were getting water at how should I put this? [2:12:34] » Free. [2:12:37] So we created the waterwork schedule ordinance [2:12:43] August 21st in 2025. We already did that. So [2:12:51] with these yard meters and a lot of them, that's not only it. There's some [2:12:55] houses that just have water only, not sewer because they're like split between [2:12:59] the county. Um, so we need to figure something out [2:13:03] with this cuz it says repeal of 981 if you read it [2:13:10] on section three of 10:15. So that would I would think Mary if you [2:13:17] could help me with that I think that would in my understanding that would [2:13:22] repeal 981 >> exactly. [2:13:26] » So at that base rate that USDA schedules for us are these [2:13:34] separate meters with pressure on our side are they [2:13:38] considered active meters and should be charged and such? [2:13:42] » Yes. Okay. All right. [2:13:46] So, that's pretty much where our deficit is, right? I guess the residents are [2:13:52] compensating for the loss on the other side on those accounts. There's like how [2:13:57] many? So a [2:14:00] » 15 >> 15 I'm sorry 15 accounts that weren't [2:14:05] tier field drive when the when uh Valerie came in and [2:14:11] that clerk previously set that up those were never [2:14:16] built but a base rate of $13 and then [2:14:20] » um I don't know what that was. I didn't do that. [2:14:24] » No you I'm just saying that's what I found on subs. [2:14:27] » Yeah. So their bills were just flat rate. So they can use 86,000 gallons and [2:14:32] just pay 13 12 or 60 21 I'm sorry. [2:14:39] » So yeah, you pay more than that for the [2:14:44] water because you buy water. [2:14:48] » Yes. >> So you can't. [2:14:52] So based on your expert opinion and [2:14:59] training and knowledge and experience with this with other towns that have [2:15:04] secondary meters or residential or they build the same thing. [2:15:08] » Yeah. They don't get a special rate. They just don't get charged sewer for [2:15:11] that. >> Okay. [2:15:13] » Meter. That's the purpose of a yard meter or an irrigation meter is that you [2:15:19] don't pay sewer fees. So, but you do still have to pay the [2:15:24] meter charge and the per gallon per thousand gallon rate for the water. [2:15:29] » Okay. 981. [2:15:32] The previous administration had where they originally they had it set up like [2:15:37] 10:15 which then they repealed it went to 981. [2:15:41] » Mhm. So, [2:15:46] cuz when we looked into it, we lost $18,000. [2:15:53] » Um, I don't remember the exact amount. I just know it was a 96% loss. [2:15:58] » 96.2% loss. >> But you can't go back and back bill. No, [2:16:02] » no, no. I'm not I'm just let >> going forward from that administrative [2:16:08] oversight. Obviously. >> Mhm. [2:16:12] » Do we build it at the minimum of 3640 for those? [2:16:17] » Yeah. >> Cuz I mean [2:16:22] » that's what your ordinance says for the 105. [2:16:26] » So do we we don't need to make up a new orders. [2:16:30] » Okay. So does this one with this the 105 that includes gardeners here? [2:16:40] » Okay. [2:16:46] » Would that because of the USDA rules in that contract 981 [2:16:51] by changing and separate segregating these two from [2:16:55] each other that's not legal. Is it legal or is there anything legalitywise with [2:17:00] it? >> So [2:17:04] before I get >> advice, you know, I would give them. But [2:17:08] at the time, that's what they did. They passed the ordinance and they bailed the [2:17:11] people at that rate. >> Yeah. [2:17:14] » But what when we did this back in 2025, it cancelled all the previous rape [2:17:22] ordinances, including 981. So >> I just didn't know 981 existed at that [2:17:29] time. >> Yeah. [2:17:32] » So not do you think 981 is a viable solution? Anything that be I mean cuz [2:17:40] they're not paying for paying per gallon but they haven't most of these been just [2:17:45] paying a base fee. It's been >> 131 a month. There's one I think Brian's [2:17:50] channel I'm not I know but it is accurate [2:17:54] been other than the base but other than gowns have been built but the rest of [2:18:00] them is just one piece no matter what you use. [2:18:06] » But that's that's immaterial. This is what you need to do now. [2:18:09] » That's what I'm saying. I just wanted to clarify that before [2:18:15] » it gets realistic around here because [2:18:21] right >> so what you might do on the accounts [2:18:25] that this is um pertinent to the 13 to 15 m [2:18:31] » um I think I would pull their bills and not do a postcard bill. I would send a [2:18:36] copy of this ordinance and a letter stating that this is what your bills [2:18:40] will be for the water only meter at your address so that they [2:18:46] » Yeah. And just put it in a regular envelope and mail them that. [2:18:49] » I can do that. >> Yeah. So that would be making our water [2:18:54] surpluses lower than normally. Pretty much the [2:19:01] other meters are compensating for the loss of the other ones, right? that I [2:19:04] was working or balancing out. >> No. So, [2:19:09] » I'm not sure exactly. So, if I remember correctly, I don't think you guys are [2:19:15] still in the black as far as revenues go. I was looking at the treasures [2:19:21] report tonight and um I think that you all had projected that you would make [2:19:28] $180,000 in water revenue this year. So after 10 [2:19:33] months I think you're going to earn 18. Um but I'm not sure if that's expenses [2:19:40] or revenue. So um [2:19:45] because the water fund so um original budget [2:19:53] 181400 budget used. So this is maybe expenses [2:19:59] but there's no there's no place on your financial statement to know how much [2:20:04] money you have collected year to date. Um [2:20:13] so I'll work with Leslie and see if we can figure out some of that stuff [2:20:18] because you need to know that to do your budget. [2:20:21] » Yeah, that's a big thing on that. That's why I just want to make sure cuz [2:20:27] when I say that just based on that usage that it it made sense when I compared [2:20:33] the reports from the meter off the county. [2:20:36] » That's what you need to do is compare gallons gallons they are billing you [2:20:41] versus gallons you build the customers that you serve. And I don't think that [2:20:46] has been done. >> No, she just I got it somewhere but she [2:20:51] did broke down and I compared those numbers with what we claim it's loss. We [2:20:56] thought it was lost which it is a loss but that I think there's probably [2:21:03] 15 to 20% maybe margin there. There was some broken lines but pretty much it's [2:21:10] spot on when you add all that together plus or minus. So I mean I just wanted [2:21:16] to check with you. >> Oh financial cost $18,439 [2:21:20] » and what what was paid in >> to receive 400 or $73 [2:21:27] » and we paid how much? >> $18,349. [2:21:31] So there's >> And how many gallons was that based on? [2:21:38] » I'm not sure because >> I think that the beginning readings on [2:21:44] some of the meters are not accurate. >> They're not. [2:21:46] » And so it's really hard to know how many gallons. It's kind of a gift. [2:21:51] » Yeah. >> And the numbers I do have. Yeah. [2:21:54] » I'm going to get into that, too. Um, [2:21:59] so did you figure out the difference percentage wise on those Neptunes? I [2:22:03] did. Okay. So, Neptune hand down also since you brought that up about a [2:22:10] nonaccurate meters. I'm going to point Neptune install four all around points [2:22:15] of the city different cellular. cellular was in the demo and compared to [2:22:23] previous month to this month three out of the four or 7 10% off [2:22:30] » the old meters were lower than living meters. [2:22:34] » Yes. So, [2:22:37] our current meters in the ground are they're benefiting everybody, [2:22:45] but they're they're not actually reading correctly, but they're obsolete. [2:22:51] So, I just wanted to see as a basis and see what the cellular would be like cuz [2:22:58] it was a demo, you know, on Neptune. It does a tenth of a gallon. So it was nice [2:23:02] seeing and like one had a quick loss like use a lot of water and it alerts [2:23:09] you. It was pretty neat but the whole spectrum of it but I just wanted to see [2:23:14] what if our meters were accurate then >> how long have they been in the ground? [2:23:18] » 1 month. >> No the old [2:23:20] » how many Oh the old meters 2009 [2:23:29] 15 years. What kind of meters are they? Do they have a wobble disc inside of [2:23:33] them? Do you know? >> Yeah. [2:23:34] » Yeah. >> They're the new disc with the magnet. A [2:23:39] lot of times you get they don't and I can't I can't find any parts to [2:23:44] rebuild them. I try. I mean, I rebuild what I can, but [2:23:47] » Yeah. It's You're not going to get the accuracy back. [2:23:51] » Yeah. And any place that the meter freezes um usually what happens is that [2:23:56] magnet breaks off or partially breaks off and that's and it'll catch you know [2:24:01] some of the turns but not all of them. >> So anytime you have freezing that's an [2:24:07] issue too. >> Yeah. So that's I was just curious to [2:24:12] bring all of that too. What kind of what's the measuring mechanism in the [2:24:17] new >> ultrasonic [2:24:20] to advance >> ultrasonic and then base cellular [2:24:26] and they all were number one I mean they had a couple hit and miss but they still [2:24:32] registered but they're to a tenth of a gallon [2:24:35] » so and these were brand new they stuck me [2:24:39] around and I couldn't believe the difference in usage only one was [2:24:43] accurate compared to the other three. I mean, the gas station was up, wasn't it? [2:24:52] Only >> What size meter is the gas station? Is [2:24:54] it just a regular regular? Yeah, 5/4. [2:25:00] So, and then >> that's surprising. The gas station ice [2:25:04] machines or do they buy all their ice? >> They buy their ice and dump it in there. [2:25:09] » Okay. >> That's what I do. At least I'm pretty [2:25:11] sure it still do that. So >> I changes a lot of water. [2:25:15] » Yeah. So that's probably why he buys in cold and they throw bags in it and [2:25:20] stuff. But [2:25:22] » I just wanted to make sure this ordinance and any other have any [2:25:26] questions about it [2:25:32] » cuz and then I wanted to make people aware about the meters difference too. [2:25:46] Okay. >> Okay. [2:25:50] So, yeah. Hey, who is it? [2:25:59] Yes. Do that. Are you there? I'm just coughing. [2:26:04] » Okay. Bless you. [2:26:08] That's coughing. [2:26:18] » All right, moving on. Okay. [2:26:23] Is there anything else? You guys want to bring board [2:26:28] before we adjourn [2:26:33] and go into close session real quick. [2:26:41] Nothing. All right. >> Why do we have all these reports? [2:26:47] » Oh, I don't have that. Sorry. >> All right. [2:26:51] » Sorry. I don't have 105. [2:26:56] There you go. [2:27:03] » Moving on. Departmental. [2:27:07] All right. On emergency management. Uh Joker still working FEMA. Working on [2:27:13] that. Also, I talked to Michael and there's some [2:27:19] other grants he sent me. I'm signing one. We're going to get some more money [2:27:24] from one of the loans. It held 10% back but not loans grants. Correct. [2:27:34] » So, yes. So, other than that, I've been watching just different things. Um, [2:27:45] » did he say how much? >> Uh, I believe about five grand. They [2:27:50] held back 750 is what we're looking at right now. [2:27:56] » Yeah, there's >> I don't know other [2:27:58] » Yeah, the other ones the 3750 on one of them, but they held back. So, [2:28:04] um other than that, I don't have anything really. [2:28:13] So, police department [2:28:18] doc >> uh non-existent right now. [2:28:24] » All right. We are too tall. Right. [2:28:31] Administration department. Um um Alderman Helms is um left early from [2:28:39] illness. Alman Freish, do you have anything to [2:28:43] report on? >> I'll let Brian do his job. [2:28:49] » Okay, Brian, >> cuz he should have been helping all this [2:28:52] time to help Leslie give Snapchat and he hasn't. [2:29:01] And we need that snapshot. My [clears throat] wife does it. Has he [2:29:05] shown? >> I hate that he left cuz I was going to [2:29:09] tell him he was he [2:29:14] » just left. I didn't know he said he didn't take mad. So [2:29:19] » he had some uh he told me last week that he had uh some dental problems and had [2:29:28] uh I don't know root canal or something like that. So, [2:29:33] » all right. >> That's that's probably what was going on [2:29:36] with that. >> Okay. Well, I agree. Brian needs to be [2:29:41] more active with admin. He needs a reason to come down, I guess. Is that [2:29:45] right? He >> say, [2:29:48] » so we're going to hold that. >> Yeah. Sure. [2:29:52] » All right. Uh street department do [2:29:58] » uh the streets look beautiful where they've been done. Uh they I mean really [2:30:03] it's been uh great around fourth street around the corner and I then I saw when [2:30:11] I was leaving town they were working up the road up towards the church I guess [2:30:17] and we had a call from a resident on 8th Street [2:30:22] uh regarding the uh regarding 8th Street and what uh you [2:30:30] know when it was going be done, etc. So, I explained that, [2:30:35] you know, that you had a sequence of of streets that you were doing with jokers [2:30:40] and uh that they would uh and I that I remember that you had [2:30:48] mentioned that uh [2:30:53] that was on their list of things to do. Uh, and then this thing where uh Ronnie [2:31:00] Garnett mentioned uh about the trees and he said cedar but [2:31:06] I think he meant sycamore and uh I was trying to get you know that's between my [2:31:13] property and the wristlers and uh I was trying to understand what he said and [2:31:19] and then after thinking about a bit he was right. There was a a large walnut [2:31:26] tree limb that fell that night that we had the big storm and uh [2:31:33] uh I she couldn't get out of her driveway. [2:31:39] So uh I went over and and Eric cut some limbs up and I cut some limbs up and we [2:31:46] chucked it all out of the way so she can get in and out for like crisis [2:31:51] management. So, if uh the guys have time to [2:31:57] uh snatch those limbs up and put them on a trailer and take them down to get [2:32:02] burned, that'll be great. >> All right. [2:32:06] » Where was that at again? >> Sycamore and Fourth. [2:32:12] Okay. >> Right in front of Brenda Risker's house. [2:32:15] » Okay. >> Yeah. [2:32:19] All right. Anything else? [2:32:25] Uh, well, it's a minor issue, but on uh third and sycamore [2:32:33] on third and sycamore, they, you know, when they detour when jokers detourred [2:32:41] traffic through there, then uh, you know, like right away the road started [2:32:46] to tear up on that corner. And we've uh had a chat about that and Todd I guess [2:32:52] was going to look at it to see if something could be done about that. [2:32:55] Yeah. >> Yeah, we already um yesterday we went [2:32:59] around and he went up there by you what your concerns were with that curve. [2:33:05] So he's looking and see what he can do about [2:33:09] that and also the other third and second more [2:33:14] issue. >> Yeah. head and over [2:33:19] uh on I guess at Seventh Street the that one tree roots that be that needed to be [2:33:29] cut out or something with those pine trees [2:33:32] that that [clears throat] may need further attention [2:33:37] once they're up there working on it. Yeah, maybe [2:33:44] Frankie and the guys couldn't get that uh cut out and cut that lateral branch, [2:33:51] you know, that's going on the road and while they're up there, there may be an [2:33:56] opportunity to uh address that with since they got asphalt up there, [2:34:03] too. And it probably doesn't require that much to patch that those two. I [2:34:09] don't know if it's one spot or two spots. [2:34:11] » It's two. It's like 10 by 20 and then another little spot. [2:34:17] It's minimal just cut out. >> Yeah. It's also that location if they're [2:34:22] going to be uh like that. I don't know about cuz if [2:34:27] they're going to be building houses up there, then that means they're going to [2:34:32] be hauling heavy equipment in and out of there to, you know, to accomplish that [2:34:37] stuff. And we, you know, we're probably going to have to take a look at how to [2:34:42] manage that so stuff doesn't get damaged more or dam, you know, like maybe some [2:34:48] of it will can be delayed until the subdivision's put up because the streets [2:34:54] will get torn up by bulldozers and stuff going in and out of there. Yeah. [2:34:59] » And uh and then when it's done and you got new houses up, then you can kind of [2:35:05] repave the road so it looks, you know, kind of posh. [2:35:10] And yeah, Todd and Steve and me were talking about that and then leaving some [2:35:15] gaps in those areas so when they got done, Steve could probably take on when [2:35:22] he fills his roads, finish those gaps instead of us. [2:35:28] Does that make sense? Once you select somebody to wedge cut [2:35:34] like you're you're saying leave that areas where they don't get to [2:35:40] that's just my thoughts. I don't know that that needs to be done. It's just a [2:35:44] lot you know there's that's a pro potential problem spot. I think [2:35:49] » it is. It is. What do we have to wait about the whole seventh street there [2:35:55] down to uh 61? You don't want to I don't know if [2:36:00] there's anything there. >> No, they're not I don't think I think [2:36:05] they're going to patch a few spots or do like what they call wedge repair that [2:36:09] binds it. It's like a heart. But there's that valve down there. But that's all [2:36:13] mod and mod that everybody else that one [2:36:18] valve was really bent on that one side. So [2:36:24] I'll call Brad and see if he can feather that out cuz that's a steep hill. [2:36:30] There's got to be a way to Is that what you're talking about? [2:36:33] » Yeah. Like from 61 up way up 7th Street. >> Yeah. if they're going to be putting [2:36:38] those big trucks through there. There's anything from was it um [2:36:43] Sycamore down to um 61 [2:36:52] area? >> No, 7 7th Street down to um yeah, I'm [2:36:57] sorry. Seven Seventh Street there. That intersection of 7th Street [2:37:02] and anything from 7th Street down to 61. If there's anything needs to be patched, [2:37:07] we probably need to hold off on that until after they start building. [2:37:11] » Yeah, we weren't planning on good of that. And just like at the top of [2:37:15] scenarion [2:37:24] would go in and we that's why it's feathered in it right by the fire [2:37:28] hydrant and that's it. than the rest. It's just damage control, holding what [2:37:34] we can back from time B in so we don't lose the whole road and have to do a [2:37:40] full tear out. And that will hold right there till he gets done with every [2:37:45] building. They would have to come up probably [2:37:52] or something. I would imagine they can't come up seventh unless they have a [2:37:57] special logo. But I mean that's I don't know. I don't know what it is. Bobby [2:38:02] knows that they find it from Bobby's have equipment up there. So I don't [2:38:06] know. But yeah, everything on that side they stopped up there. That's they're [2:38:10] not going further than that because that subdivision and what he wants to do. [2:38:16] » I see over there behind the antique mall by the um that one's house. They tore [2:38:25] part not to they cut part of that street out from side to side [2:38:30] » where >> Yeah. Right over [2:38:33] » Yeah. For six street [clears throat] totally falling apart. [2:38:38] We passed and passed and passed and it's just falling out and so they just cut [2:38:43] that wedge out and they're going that way and call a skimp about skimp like [2:38:47] that one. It's a heart attack. >> Are they going to fill that in then? [2:38:52] » Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Tomorrow is actually they're doing it. It's just a BB1 hard [2:38:59] pack. to kind of bind that instead of chipping seal. What does hold it till we [2:39:04] can actually do a 4 in over, you know, where like 8 Street's getting overhauled [2:39:10] where the bad spot all the way down is and like Doc said, there's spots here [2:39:17] and there, but and they've been hitting some extra spots, you know, cuz it's [2:39:21] like been leveling out. So, I mean, if there's any concerns with that, I know [2:39:27] there'll be six tomorrow and I and they'll let me know after that. It's [2:39:32] just not a whole six. It's just kind of like by Eric and house and where [2:39:38] the hill goes cuz that hill and by Margaret's [2:39:42] » and and Dwayne's old house is all popped up and Eric put some cold patch and it's [2:39:47] already gone kicked up. I don't know why it don't [2:39:52] take but everything's just popping. So, but I see your point. They're not doing [2:39:58] the whole thing. That's what you worry about around that square. [2:40:01] » Yeah. >> They're not doing that. The root [2:40:03] remedation. Is that what you're talking about, Doc? [2:40:08] Cutting them roots out. That's a 10 by 20 spot. That's all it is. [2:40:12] » Yeah. >> All right. [2:40:15] » All right. Well, don't have to dig it up and cut the roots and and then dig the [2:40:22] root up that's under the road so it'll drop down cuz otherwise it's going to [2:40:25] rot and, you know, stay elevated. Okay. [2:40:32] All right. Anything else, doc? Uh, no. I think that's [clears throat] [2:40:38] it. Okay. All right. Water and waste water [2:40:43] departments. [2:40:49] As you notice, you're with Eric and I who has major safety issues, [2:40:57] electrical, chemical, [2:41:01] and [2:41:05] the biggest thing you notice, I don't know, [2:41:11] I'm noticing that this electrical thing is to defend [2:41:19] and I put on my sheet will a statement be made about the city not having a [2:41:24] money to mitigate safety issues. We have to we have to mitigate safety [2:41:30] issues. We can't have a person electrocuted on our property or have a [2:41:36] person that's come and sit at home and pay their bills beaten by a snake. Cuz [2:41:44] if we wouldn't have put those covers [2:41:50] right there on those doors, three copperheads have been killed on our [2:41:55] property and nobody has done a damn thing. See, [2:42:00] we can't live like that. We just can't. And if we got out to the [2:42:05] public, there's a living up in these pipes and up in [2:42:11] this attic. And we got the city hall. >> The back where the old well is [2:42:18] » right there on both sides. >> We We closed the hole off. It was a big [2:42:25] hole like this. I had Eric go and get a piece of metal and put it in front of it [2:42:32] because we had said we was going to purchase a door. We need a new door [2:42:40] and we need a new lot set at the water [2:42:45] plant. People just go in and out and then out and go [2:42:51] anytime they want. That frightens me because old military man, you got to [2:42:56] have control. You got to lock stuff down cuz people find out stuff that's open. [2:43:01] They'll go in there and do crazy things. So, I was saying we need to fix some of [2:43:07] these safety issues here. Are we going to be following this? Cuz [2:43:16] we need to put the money in to get those doors. [2:43:21] two doors, one down at the plank and one here. Cuz the windows broke out. There's [2:43:26] a big old hole like that. Let's take this right on down. [2:43:36] » I didn't tell you, but I want you to know [2:43:40] » that's when I was keeping you awake and I was keeping the folks working on each [2:43:44] side of you trying to mitigate some of this stuff. [2:43:51] in our dump truck. [2:43:56] We'll be following on this getting this dump truck. We going to need this dump [2:43:59] truck. >> Yeah, [2:44:03] » we don't need it. >> Yeah. [2:44:05] » And that's talking about hydraulics. [2:44:11] » Hydraulics. >> But as you saw, Mr. Mayor, that [2:44:15] electrical stuff >> that's Yeah. I got a call tomorrow. You [2:44:20] want me to call out and follow through with [2:44:23] » the mayor of paral citizens electric? She referred [2:44:29] him to another member. We got to get something [2:44:33] out here because we don't have any control of the [2:44:37] power source, right? [2:44:39] » No, it's digging back into a box there from the old threephase water filtration [2:44:46] system. So, it's in a switch box. >> We'll throw a switch box. [2:44:52] » We've been We've been really trying to mitigate some of this stuff. [2:44:58] We going to need everybody's help on supporting us. [2:45:03] I just see it coming. We got rid of 29 trucks of Sud [2:45:14] dealing with all that chlorox two weeks ago [2:45:21] cuz the city in the garage so long. So the [2:45:25] oxides and the pallets just rotted away. [2:45:33] What else? and we spread gravel in there to try to [2:45:38] help the yard so we don't get stuck when we're running out of equipment. I [2:45:44] really need your support cuz I want to put in work orders to get some of this [2:45:52] done before something bad happens. >> So, have you priced doors or anything [2:45:58] like that? We have um that south door is got to be like an emergency door with [2:46:04] the push thing and it's got to be fire rated because of [2:46:09] that electrical glass that you get glass cabinet [2:46:16] for the controls of the whole wastewater plant. [2:46:21] The north face door, I guess, west face door or east face door. East, [2:46:28] » sorry, I'm sorry. East face door can just be reed. I can re key this one over [2:46:32] here. I need to get a full measurement of the sash because it is rotted away [2:46:37] and bad. >> Can you get the measurements for parent [2:46:42] so we can >> and if this if the framing's rotted out [2:46:47] just give me inside jam, you know, outside jam and all that and I can go [2:46:52] from there. >> We took the whole team [2:46:58] up on the second floor on the old water plant. [2:47:03] What? Three three uh board >> two two sheets of two sheets of board [2:47:08] had to be put up. >> Yeah. [2:47:10] » To close that off. >> Yeah. And that [2:47:13] » birds and anything they want to come in there can go in there and hang out. [2:47:18] » There's a fire there and burnt through the wall and everything. [2:47:21] » But nobody did anything and screen it up >> at the old fire thing. [2:47:25] » Yeah. The right where the costic soda's hand is right behind me. [2:47:31] It took the whole team over there to get it done. We made it in less than two [2:47:36] hours. [2:47:40] » What we do with the cost of soda, Mary? Is there a way to break that down? [2:47:46] » So, you have costic soda store over there just still. [2:47:51] » I'm sorry to interrupt. No, I [clears throat] I just thought about [2:47:57] nobody knows around here. Like >> I would I would call one of the water [2:48:01] circuit writers. Um [2:48:08] probably Dustin Goodman Goodman and talk to him. Um [2:48:20] I'm sure there's a way to neutralize it. But you don't want to create a heat [2:48:25] issue or an explosive issue. So there's I'm sure a safer way to do that [2:48:32] » because they had to be processed with another acid and another thing broke [2:48:37] down with water and >> right but then it highly volatile at [2:48:42] certain points temperatures and there >> and I touched a bag of that and ate my [2:48:47] fingers like I didn't know what it was. I thought it was lining broke. Uh-huh. [2:48:54] It's not. >> Yeah. So, um [2:48:59] » Yeah. I'm I'd call Dustin and see if he's going to be in the area. [2:49:03] » I'll call Dustin and see what he thinks. >> Cuz now, do we need to keep electric [2:49:09] going to this old well that's not hooked up and there's never been control into [2:49:13] it? [2:49:17] » Is it listed as an emergency supply? No. >> But no, I don't think so. That's best [2:49:22] than that, >> too. [2:49:24] We're paying electric. >> Yeah. You're going to pay me either fee [2:49:29] whether there's usage or not. >> Yeah. And it's been capped and plugged [2:49:33] as well. One and two would have already been plugged. So, and there was no use. [2:49:39] They spent a bunch of money, but never. So, I'll ask us in that. I I didn't mean [2:49:46] to interject. No, I'm sorry. No, but you need electrician, you need electrician [2:49:50] coming tomorrow. >> Next Friday. Next Friday. [2:49:54] » Next Friday. >> Next Friday at 8 a.m. [2:49:57] » Because every electrical issue we had, we put an order on it to give us an [2:50:04] estimate. But he can't give us an estimate until he [2:50:10] get what y'all call it. There's a [2:50:14] three-phase main coming into the junction box and they split it down to a [2:50:18] single phase and ran it over here to the 200 amp service and and everything's [2:50:25] piggy back in here. >> Oh wow. [2:50:27] » Yeah. When they got rid of this um water treatment treatment. Yeah. [2:50:34] I guess in lie of cleaning and disposing it, they let them take the wire. So it's [2:50:39] stripped. >> They ripped everything out. So there's [2:50:43] nothing but a hot three leg system in there. [2:50:49] Yeah. And that's the only thing that shuts it off. And that's not even I [2:50:54] haven't seen a box like this since the 80s [2:50:59] electrician come. >> Brian gets up at the [2:51:04] the convenience store. He's a certified electrician. [2:51:09] And then I'm talking to some other electricians over at the school. I found [2:51:14] your beans. They put those pipes on. You said Shelby. [2:51:19] » Yes. >> Perry County School has a whole bunch of [2:51:23] them sitting out. They're ready to go somewhere. So, I'm [2:51:27] going to talk with the maintenance manager. [2:51:30] » Okay. Tomorrow. We get our pipes and stuff. Is that what [2:51:36] you said you want to do? >> Yeah. So they don't get old. [2:51:42] » But that electrical thing is not going to be cheap. [2:51:46] » No, >> it's not going to be cheap by us, not [2:51:52] » you. >> I pointed it out to firm. [2:51:55] » No, some of that reimburse money was for that box, [2:52:00] » but they didn't count that because they it's straight through and through. [2:52:04] Even though it's a switch, it's not up. It's not standard code policy. [2:52:11] » So, it doesn't even meet building the other requirements. So, [2:52:15] » we're very fortunate. We are very fortunate. Nobody has hurt. [2:52:19] » Now, I got a brand new 200 amp service commercial one. We need it cuz that box [2:52:27] is loose. [2:52:30] I'd like to see what he's going to tell us what it's going to cost us to get [2:52:34] this. But we can't close our eyes and hear. [2:52:39] We better >> do something. [2:52:41] » It's just And the plant that Michael's working on the big box. Trying to find a [2:52:47] company that specializes in that cuz that's a mess, too. [2:52:53] » The one down. >> Yeah. It keeps kicking out and this and [2:52:57] that. Just So [2:53:01] » is that the one who open door and stuff? >> Yeah, you got to open your head. [2:53:06] » Burn said they just >> they didn't take care of No. [2:53:12] » Did he Didn't he tell us he didn't say like it was that big of a deal, but it [2:53:17] had to be corrected. >> Yeah. He said he said it wasn't that big [2:53:21] of a deal in there. And he said, "Won't you open up the box depending on how [2:53:25] they got stuff wired?" >> I open that box with Michael and his [2:53:29] engineer, [clears throat] his electrical engineer. [2:53:34] » And you got generator backup wires that go in there with switch box. [2:53:39] » All kinds of wires. >> I mean, it's not just simple. I mean [2:53:42] looking at it and saying simple but when you have engineering electrical engineer [2:53:48] that wants to just run a separate box just for the plant to run because it's [2:53:53] too much of a risk to kill everything. >> Yeah. [2:53:57] » Hey maybe [clears throat] I think you're right have a backup to [2:54:04] make sure >> we have to what that generator required. [2:54:07] I mean cuz it has wire secondary wires on the switch box and add it in. You [2:54:15] know >> I think we we have drug so long and now [2:54:21] we pick >> you know any town needs 55 gallons of [2:54:24] moratic acid. >> But since I mean ask us [2:54:30] » okay I didn't know he ran around. We used to use when I worked at the water [2:54:35] plant, we used muratic acid to clean the line machines all the time. [2:54:38] » Yeah. >> Then we would pour muratic acid right on [2:54:42] the machines and then posttop. >> I've been in some dicey situations. [2:54:48] » Well, we got 85 gallons and water on a plant might melt it and fall apart. [2:54:55] » Yeah, they will. [2:54:59] » Anything else? No. I'm sorry. No, I'm not sorry. That was at the [2:55:04] bottom of my list. >> Was it [2:55:09] serious? >> Well, it crossed it out. It came across [2:55:13] my mind. Oh, yeah. >> All right. Parking cemetery. [2:55:20] » Not too much about the park. Cemetery. you a couple questions about um have we [2:55:26] ever gotten the big limb removed that we took a couple bids on? [2:55:34] » No. >> No. [2:55:35] » It broke some more here and there and Sharon's cut it up, but it's still [2:55:41] treating them. And Jim was supposed to like he requested submit other bid and [2:55:49] he hasn't yet. So, I haven't got anything from him. [2:55:53] We need >> fire. [2:55:55] » Yeah, I know. >> There. [2:55:58] » And then I need I got with Jeff. I think Jeff Rosette. He said we can take and [2:56:04] cut the fence right there. We had to lay all over there and cut it up as long as [2:56:09] we cleaned it up. So it didn't fall this way and hit tombstone. So we could they [2:56:15] could drop it that way in this field. So we would just have to reconnect the [2:56:20] fence with that which won't be hard to do. [2:56:23] » Is there anything on the other side of the fence? Just the field. [2:56:26] » Just his field. Yeah. Yeah. >> What's his name? [2:56:30] » See Jeff and Trish. [2:56:34] » Oh, you know, you know, [2:56:39] that's the only thing I can think of top, you know, actually that thing goes. [2:56:44] » Well, that would save us some money. I know it would be labor for us the city [2:56:49] to do it that way. >> Joseph is, you know, if it's woody, but [2:56:54] as long as we put on the side, he'll need it. We can get it and split it. So, [2:56:58] it's being reused instead of just burn, you know what I mean? I mean, it's being [2:57:02] burned, but that way it will be labor on us, but at least we won't be paying. [2:57:09] I don't know. I mean, it's up to you how you want to do this. I can call and ask [2:57:12] somebody to drop it and then us cut it up. or them cut it up or whatever you [2:57:18] want me to do. I mean, let's you and I go up there and look. [2:57:22] » Yeah, cuz I mean it keeps breaking off in certain spots. It hit one tombstone. [2:57:27] It's not too bad. I was able to clean it up. [2:57:30] » That was my next question. I know we had that storm um first part of August and [2:57:35] you sent me pictures of those little pieces that fallen. [2:57:38] » No, it was more of that tree there and another tree. And any of those [2:57:43] tombstones if they're damaged from them? >> That one was a chip, but not enough down [2:57:48] to the lettering. It was one of them rough chip top ones. [2:57:51] » Okay. >> You know, the porest. [2:57:54] » But if that whole tree goes, we're talking mass mass. [2:58:00] » So, >> well, I want to get with you then. We [2:58:02] need both and then make a decision. >> Cuz this is a hefty tree. I 4 and 1/2 ft [2:58:08] diameter in the bottom. It's a monster. [2:58:12] » I know they wanted to last time we talked about they wanted to make a bucks [2:58:15] that had a tree drop, but >> yeah, [2:58:17] » it was just the limb that was the big issue. [2:58:20] » And then getting in there is the other thing trying to get up in there, not [2:58:26] disturbing anybody, >> right? [2:58:28] » Grave site. So, >> all right. We'll make it up. Yeah, we [2:58:32] we'll go up there cuz I when I talk to Jeff, he he's fine with it over there as [2:58:36] long as Cliff and Trish can get home and he can get it now, which the field's [2:58:40] right there. So, not a big deal. There is a safety issue of so dead I wouldn't [2:58:47] want to even climb it or rope it because it's going to snap. I don't It's It's [2:58:52] made up by those carpenter hands so bad. And I don't know. Like you said, [2:59:00] everybody wants big bucks and it is a big tree, but I mean [2:59:05] » it's just >> Yeah. And I mean, I've been mowing up [2:59:10] there when blow and I pass my own and then a limp, you know? I'm like, what? [2:59:19] It's scary time. So, >> all right. Well, I'll get it if you [2:59:21] want. >> Okay, we'll get that done. So, anything [2:59:25] else on there? I didn't see any other damage or anything. Okay. [2:59:29] » So, Sharon cleaned up a lot of that. Then, um some of the vandalism she took [2:59:37] care of and and uh got I think um [2:59:44] I can't say her name. She helped with the preservation St. Genevie. [2:59:49] You know what I'm talking >> about [2:59:53] cold >> James [2:59:55] » J she was lift and replay putting them [3:00:00] back on the pegs for the time being a lot of them I mean [3:00:05] the whole graveyard I've noticed land shifting a lot around here and I don't [3:00:10] know why and we've had a lot of tombstone shift [3:00:16] and >> didn't you guys have like 12 [3:00:19] of rain at one time or something. >> Is that going to stop? [3:00:25] » Yeah. And I'm wondering if they just create a void. The graveyard is so hard [3:00:30] to cuz it caught fire at one time. So the maps are not that great on the old [3:00:35] side. That's old by aces. So, but the newer side grows [3:00:42] really fast for some reason. But yeah, it's just it's it's odd how everything [3:00:49] shipped and even the Didn't you say the big one [3:00:53] shops? >> Yeah. Made major or [3:00:57] » How old are those like 1700 1800s? >> They didn't have any vaults. So, you [3:01:03] know, back then it just >> this is a big [3:01:08] » it's like a bridge [3:01:12] [clears throat] and shop was a big name. That was [3:01:15] Colonel Shaw, wasn't it? Colonel up there [3:01:26] right there. some colonel shot one of the founders with Roger in [3:01:31] his town and they're in the very back but that's on [3:01:36] the Catholic side. I mean he's seen it. So it's a shame. [3:01:41] » I don't think there's any way to go and sh that up or not. [3:01:45] » I don't think [3:01:49] but yeah other than that I mean I haven't haven't heard anything just [3:01:53] mode. How did you guys today? [3:01:58] » Okay. I know these guys are working like crazy and I know it's a skeleton crew [3:02:02] and it's being more efficient and the rain doesn't help with the mowing. Trust [3:02:08] me, my yards high too. [3:02:14] » Some people that are mowing don't follow instructions and tell them to raise [3:02:19] them, right? Yes. >> And they left it low and butcher it out [3:02:24] here, you know. And it takes twice as much [3:02:29] time. [3:02:35] » Yeah, she she did and she break it and then I'm like [3:02:42] » Yeah, I need to interject something. You guys are talking about Colonel Shaw. [3:02:46] I've been in my car for 3 and 1/2 hours and I have to take a leak and I have a 6 [3:02:51] and 1/2 hour drive yet. So, can we wrap things up? Okay. Yeah, we're done. [3:02:57] So, uh, >> thank you. [3:02:59] » Okay, doc. I'm sorry, buddy. >> All right. Bye. [laughter] [3:03:08] » All right. Since he's left, we're just going to make a motion. [3:03:14] » I made all favor. All right. [3:03:19] » And it goes [3:03:23] that way. >> All right. [3:03:26] All right.
