[0:04] why Stonington there's no other place like Stonington that's why [0:11] [Music] Stonington why ston because the ocean is [0:20] right here because we have the best oysters in the world because there's no [0:23] better place to get a haircut I've traveled all over the US and it's just [0:27] this is the most welcoming place I've been I'm going Timmons and I'm Sally [0:31] Timmons and we grow riverhawk oysters in Stonington Connecticut there's a focus [0:36] on local sustainable healthy fresh food and to be right here where we're a mile [0:42] away from our restaurants that we deliver to we're pulling our oysters out [0:46] of the water and getting them there within [0:51] hours my name is Chris fftl and I'm the owner of a Mion print house we're right [0:56] off the highway it's halfway between Boston and New York City yeah ra a [1:00] family in Stonington has been an amazing experience we've met so many good [1:04] friends through our children's friends we have a really great Network a really [1:08] good Community here the school system is the best around we feel very safe here [1:13] fun it's a beautiful place for the kids to grow up couldn't imagine it anywhere [1:18] else one of the things I love about living around here is that there's so [1:23] many things to do in the wat this community loves nature and learning [1:27] about it through our many programs The Velvet Mill is a great place it's a cute [1:32] little Community with many different artists and business owners and it's [1:36] really inspirational sington is a really great place for art because there's lots [1:40] of young artists that are local around here and you can all get together and [1:44] support the local art community my name is Cheryl pervis and my husband and I [1:49] moved to Stonington in 2007 after I retired I started volunteering here at [1:55] Mystic Sea port I love the history the energy [2:00] and it truly is a National Treasure because we have the coma we have tennis [2:06] courts paddle courts a thrift shop just come see I'm Nancy felini I own the red [2:12] boats and we came to Stonington 40 years ago we looked all around the coast we [2:18] loved the tradition of it we love the history of it we love the access to the [2:22] ocean we love the town we like the people for us there was no other place [2:27] CES is the oldest steampowered CER in the United States people come here for [2:32] our Donuts our fresh cider as we're pressing today Stonington is a great [2:37] place to take part in Traditions to build something exciting be it a home a [2:43] family a business a way of life because stoning T you smell the air of the sea [2:52] you feel the freshness of life around you and you feel the love of the people [2:57] around you [3:02] [Applause] [Music] [3:05] [Applause] [Music]
