[2:17] But I look forward to hearing from you. [2:19] You're welcome. [2:20] Any hands online? [2:22] All right I will close public discussion. [2:26] Five A actually have a motion for five B. All in favor [2:32] say I. K5B resolution of city sunrise Florida amended restated [2:38] the development for phase one between city of Sunrise [2:41] and the associates LLC providing for record for transmission, [2:45] for management, community development [2:48] do I have a motion a motion and a second, [2:51] this is a public hearing come does [2:52] anyone wish to be heard on this matter come back [2:54] please come forward or press five star on your phone. [2:56] Yes? [2:57] Please state your name. [3:01] >> Mark Douglas 2900 Northwest 125 Ave. Commissioners, [3:08] thank you. [3:10] So, I had an opportunity to review the development agreement [3:16] not the development agreement, referencing the other one. [3:21] But the item that's before you. [3:24] And I wanted to address specifically the traffic [3:27] because I read the report, I think that's under number six. [3:34] And I was given somewhat short, but essentially it [3:39] was saying that the development as Is being proposed [3:43] of that site projects 20% reduction in traffic [3:49] give or take. [3:50] It doesn't really go into where the assumptions came from. [3:54] Of course it spoke to additional things [3:59] that may be happening relative to the change. [4:04] And some other traffic. [4:07] Maybe engineering things. [4:09] And I was a little disappointed because it [4:13] says because of the reduction in traffic, [4:16] we don't have to do the initial inquiry relative to the effect [4:21] on local streets and so on. [4:27] It boggles my mind that we could build almost 2,000,000ft² [4:32] on that site in addition to the 1400 residential units. [4:37] And that's the commercial are you talking about with Sarah? [4:43] >> This is West. [4:44] Sorry. [4:46] >> We're not going to address the arena yet we're going [4:49] to recess the LPA. [4:50] So we're on wisteria right now. [4:53] >> So we're doing both at the same time? [4:56] >> No different times come we're doing West Air right now [5:00] and then we're going to recess the LPA there's going to be [5:03] a broader discussion as you're pointing out on the arena which [5:06] will be handled within the commission. [5:08] We will recess and reopen that at the time. [5:10] Okay. [5:11] Sure. [5:12] So with is right now so if you have a comment on the garage [5:16] you can do that now. [5:18] >> The garage issue and the way it's written talks about how [5:24] the garage cannot be on the side of the adjoining building. [5:30] It could be read to mean that we're [5:32] trying to limit the developers and a five story garage. [5:37] That could be one. [5:39] Or the other way of reading it is you could say you could build [5:43] a garage any size as long as it doesn't go past potentially 15ft [5:48] which I think is the maximum you can build. [5:51] So I just wanted to see if that could be addressed as well. [5:54] If it's an effort to limit the garage for esthetic purpose [5:59] relative to the size of the building, [6:01] or is it sort of a window that -- [6:05] you know you can build it. [6:08] Because I know we have a site plan also. [6:12] If you can consider it that might tell us. [6:16] >> Thank you Mr. Douglas. [6:17] Mr. Lebowski? [6:20] >> So Mark Lebowski senior manager, [6:22] the item that we're talking about is development agreement [6:26] and there's also the master plan and the site plan. [6:28] The development agreement covers in essence the project [6:31] and talks about generality in terms of the standards [6:35] throughout the project. [6:36] The specifics related to the site plan [6:39] are handled in the site plan which is later on. [6:42] But the question from Mr. Douglas [6:46] related to a general statement in the intention [6:48] is exactly how you said. [6:50] You don't have a garage that's larger [6:52] than the building that's next to it for an esthetic standpoint. [6:56] And then there's other esthetic provisions which we'll discuss. [6:59] As part of the master plan. [7:01] >> Correct but in terms of the development it makes it clear [7:04] that it can't be higher than the rest. [7:06] >> Correct. [7:06] All right any further comments or questions [7:08] from the audience on that? [7:10] Any comments from my colleagues? [7:12] Commissioner Kudo? [7:20] >> (Indiscernible) [9:39] >> Commissioner Kudo can you make sure your mic is on? [9:41] They can't hear you. [9:47] >> I just want to make sure that, I hear your comments. [9:50] But, you know, all of us know, and staff [9:53] knows that this development is going [9:55] to be the start of what's coming in that area. [9:58] And we are going to make sure that it's [10:01] going to be starting off the right way. [10:04] Because eventually the property that's next to it [10:08] could also be redeveloped. [10:11] Which would be double the size of what they are starting with. [10:14] So, I'm excited as being up here for a long period of time to see [10:19] this really to start moving and I think, you know, [10:24] setting this tone and setting this pace [10:26] and making sure that staff and Shannon and her people [10:30] are on this, seven story it's got a nice mix, it looks good, [10:36] we are not approving some slop residential to start off, [10:41] it's going to be very to me, very high end in that area. [10:46] Starting from what we had with Nexus and Amli and portico. [10:51] And now this is going to be the next new version. [10:54] So thanks staff. [10:56] I hear you, but, I promise you we will be all over this like [11:02] flies on -- to make sure that it's going to be right. [11:06] You know that. [11:08] Yeah blueberry pie. [11:09] That's what I meant. [11:10] Blueberry pie. [11:11] So thank you. [11:12] Thank you for bringing that up. [11:14] >> All right any further comments? [11:15] All right, call the question. [11:20] [Reading names] [11:30] >> Item passes 5 to 0. [11:31] With respect to five a with the agreement of the applicant [11:32] and staff, what I would suggest to my colleagues is we [11:35] will go ahead and recess the LP a and reopen five A and 12 C [11:40] after we deal with some other issues [11:43] since that may garner some discussion. [11:46] Any objection to that? [11:49] If not then I'll entertain a motion. [11:53] >> Motion [11:55] >> Second [11:56] >> Motion and a second, all in favor say I. Motion -- [12:05] we will close the LP A and then open the commission. [12:10] Thank you.
