Uh tonight is our [1:49] first meeting in May, so as required by [1:51] law, we are just presenting to you our [1:53] tentative budget for the Redevelopment [1:54] Agency. [1:56] Um as [clears throat] you know, this [1:57] fund no longer brings in any tax [1:59] increment or any revenue. [2:01] The area has sunset, but we do have 5 [2:03] years to continue spending those funds [2:05] for which they were collected. [2:07] So tonight is just to present you the [2:09] budget. Then you haven't had a chance to [2:11] look over it yet. We'll have budget [2:13] discussions on these proposed budgets [2:15] over the next few weeks. [2:16] And then we will have a public hearing [2:18] to adopt the final budget for the for [2:20] the RDA on June 17th at 7:00 p.m. So we [2:23] will have a public hearing and adoption [2:25] at that point. [2:27] The RDA does not go through truth and [2:29] taxation or anything like that because [2:30] they don't have any revenue. So this is [2:32] really just to formally give you the [2:35] budget and then like I said we'll have [2:36] discussions on this budget over the next [2:38] few weeks before it's final adoption.
