This is a grant that the
[3:10] uh regional district manages on behalf
of the town and I believe it's EOC

Princeton council supports the grant
[3:25] application by the regional district of
Okanagan Similkameen to receive and
[3:28] manage the 2026 CEPF emergency
operations center equipment and training

[3:49] permit application. This looks exciting.
Can you give us some details on that,

>> I can I can speak to this one.
[3:57] Uh
this is a uh business park development
[4:00] permit application for 121 Stan Stan
Thompson Drive. Uh
[4:06] the application is for the construction
of a I think it's a 300
[4:12] square meter
uh truck and trailer inspection shop. Um
[4:18] this is a lot that was purchased uh
recently and um
[4:23] the the local business is hoping to get
up and running with a with an inspection
[4:28] facility in the in the business park.
Uh the the site plans and and plans that
[4:34] they've
uh that form part of the permit all
[4:37] conform to the BP1 business park one
zone, which is the the properties that
[4:43] back onto Princeton-Summerland Road. Uh
it includes uh 3-m landscape strip on
[4:49] the Princeton-Summerland side.
Summerland Road frontage um
[4:55] with fire smart aligning
uh hedges
[5:00] as well as uh the
the fencing of the property. Uh
[5:05] the the bylaw does require front setback
uh landscape strip as well, but this is
[5:11] off the circle of Stan Thompson. So,
it's uh a pretty
[5:16] minimal frontage at the
basically enough room for a driveway and
[5:20] and that's about it. So, yeah. Uh
the the owners do plan to uh asphalt the
[5:26] surface of the lot for vehicle
circulation and includes nine nine
[5:30] parking stalls as well.
Uh the building is uh proposed as uh
[5:36] Quonset style
uh metal building. Kind of dark gray
[5:40] metal.
Um
[5:43] pretty standard for industrial type use.
>> Is there any rules in there on that
[5:47] sort? Does does it matter? Does it have
to be a structure?
[5:49] » It doesn't the so the
the development permit area speaks to
[5:56] um
uh encouraging less continuous walls,
[6:02] large industrial style shops.
Uh I
[6:06] you know, I think in
in the big scheme of things, the 300
[6:11] 300 square meter building is is not a
huge uh and won't be a major impact on
[6:16] the the neighborhood.

[6:20] it all out on a kind of awkward pie
shape uh lot. How much of that was
[6:24] original? Did you have any input on
that?

the site plan is pretty well as they
[6:30] applied for it.

hope from them to one day also have
[6:38] access uh make it a throughway off of
Princeton Somerland Road as well.

that requires a a traffic impact
[6:46] assessment from from the owner. And uh
he figured he'll get up and running off

have to go off the lower class road,
[7:24] which is Stan Thompson. Um and then if
if you want future, uh then you need to
[7:30] go above and beyond on the on the
traffic impact.
