town administrator here.
[9:56] Um I'd like to comment on Majestic Oak
first. I'm very glad to see the town's
[10:01] moving forward on Majestic Oak. Um even
though it's taken some time, I'd like to
[10:07] remind you that uh the town saved a lot
of money by using it for two years for
[10:11] lay down for the dredging. Also saved a
lot of money for the people living on
[10:15] the waterfront.
Um I think the reduced scale is in line
[10:19] with what the original plans were and so
that's a good idea. Um, I'd just like to
[10:24] remind you to remember to address
bathroom facilities, portaotties or
[10:29] something. Uh,
uh, think a policy of how to enforce
[10:35] parking. A lot of people want to park
there, go to the beach. Uh, and remember
[10:38] that there's no motorized, at least from
the original time, no motorized boats or
[10:44] vehicle vessels in that'll be there in
the park. Um, I think the landscaping
[10:50] plan's a good one. It's a good start. We
can always move forward with that. And
[10:55] remember, you can always add more
amenities in the future as need and
[10:59] demand comes up there. So, that's good.
In some, I recommend approving the park
[11:06] plan and move forward with that. A quick
comment on the roll back of the trash
[11:11] cans. Um, I agree with the staff
recommendation of a of option two. Let
[11:17] the property owners contract with the
vendors and the town work on policies
[11:22] such as how you're going to enforce
those trash cans. Anyway, thank you very

Uh, I understand the town's concerns
[11:52] around that a municipal trash can cart
rollout system could create additional
[11:57] work for staff. Um, Red Tide Bins can
provide this service without creating
[12:02] that burden to the town. We're prepared
to create a dedicated Sunset Beach web
[12:07] page, phone line, and communication
system so that residents can contact us
[12:12] directly for scheduling, questions, and
service needs. The town would not have
[12:17] to manage the day-to-day.
Red Tide Bins is already a verified town
[12:22] vendor, as you know. We carry the
appropriate insurance credentials, and
[12:27] we understand the professionalism and
accountability required to serve this
[12:31] community.
The proposal is about more than moving
[12:34] the trash carts. It's about appearance,
safety, accessibility, and the quality
[12:40] of life here at Sunset Beach. Some of
our elderly residents and people with
[12:45] disabilities struggle to move their
carts. Some homeowners and renters are
[12:49] unable to bring them back from the
street. Carts are left outside and can
[12:53] create that unattractive appearance,
block access, and sometimes signal that
[12:57] property is unoccupied. So Sunset Beach
needs a solution.
[13:03] Sunset Beach is beautiful island
community and streets and neighborhoods
[13:07] should reflect that. And while Trip is
only 16,
[13:12] he does not define his age does not
define his experience or commitment.
[13:16] Riptai Bins has already cleaned
thousands of bins and served homeowners,
[13:20] property managers, HOAs, and local
businesses. He has built this company
[13:25] around one principle. community is
first.
[13:30] So he is asking you to select option one
and for the opportunity to solve a real
[13:36] local problem, serve the community he
lives in and prove that a local
[13:41] entrepreneur can deliver reliable and
professional services.
[13:46] We also understand that serving Sunset
Beach requires organization capacity.
[13:50] So, we're willing to expand its support,
including a dedicated storefront,
[13:56] receptionists to help manage calls,
scheduling, and customer service. We're
[14:01] not asking a town to create more work.
We're asking the town to let us create
[14:04] the solution. This is a win for
everyone.
[14:09] Residents receive reliable rollout
service, both return um and takeout,
[14:14] from our company that's been verified
and qualified to do the job. especially
[14:18] for our elderly residents who ensure
that they're hiring someone qualified
[14:22] and a safe vendor for them. Our streets
will look cleaner, the homeowners have
[14:27] one less responsibility, and the town
will have one less problem to manage
[14:31] overall.
Sunset Beach deserves a service that's
[14:35] local, professional, reliable, and
accountable. And Riptide Bins is ready
[14:39] to provide it. So, thank you for your
consideration and the opportunity to

Todd who's an entrepreneur that we need

you know, help and support our local
[17:30] youth in these businesses. And so that's

About that,
[17:53] » Majestic Oaks Park. I think it's a great
idea. Uh I think this council is doing a
[17:58] pretty good job moving forward. One
concern for us is we're right bordering
[18:02] it and the tree plan is a tree that
releases berries and we don't want those
[18:08] getting in our pool. So, we'd really
like those recessed away from the the
[18:12] property line. Uh probably shorter trees
would be good. they wouldn't get in the
[18:17] way of the view of the homeowners that
are right there along the park. Um,
[18:23] bathrooms, uh, one concern would be badl
looking bathrooms visible to our houses.
[18:30] So, we we got to take that into
consideration. Uh, I think the basic
[18:34] plan that was originally planned was a
good idea. We don't need to put in a
[18:39] whole electrical system and plumbing
system in there. It's got to be simple
[18:43] and and very cost effective. So if it is
portaotties, it should be well hidden
[18:48] out of the view of homeowners. Um but
beyond that, I'm really supportive of
[18:54] the Majestic Silk Park. I think it was a
great uh plan that the township had. So
