[1:26] Drake, can you hear me okay. [1:41] Can anybody hear me. I can hear you mayor. Thank [1:49] you. Thank you. [5:00] All right, good morning, everyone. We do have Corum, so [5:02] I'll call this meeting to order at 10 o'clock shirt [5:04] and I'll ask for a moment of silence and personal [5:06] reflection, please. [5:27] Thank you. It is important to begin each public gathering [5:30] with a Land and Territorial acknowledgement to recognise the indigenous [5:33] people for being good stewards of the Land and Environment. [5:35] Here where we're meeting today, the Township Brock is traditionally [5:38] being a hunting and fishing ground for First Nations peoples. [5:41] We reside on and benefit from the Williams Treaty Territories [5:44] on the Land of the Mississaugas in Chippewas. May we [5:46] share the Land as long as the sun rises, the [5:48] grass grows, and the river flows. For those that are [5:51] able, can we please stand for the Playing of our [5:53] National Anth. [7:43] All right. Thank you very much. Next up. Any disclosure [7:47] of Procurity and Trust for Members of Council. Seeing Nunnline [7:52] and Chambers. Perfect. And Community Announcements. Any Community Announcements, members [7:57] Council. Seeing that. We do not have any public meetings, [8:04] but we do have one Presentation 7. 1, which is [8:07] from Mr. Delight, which is our audit results Report Presentation. [8:11] Stephen, go ahead when you're ready. Nice to see you [8:13] again. You as well. Thank you very much. And as [8:16] I have done in the previous years, I'll be quick. [8:21] Here to report on the status of the audit. We [8:26] are largely completed this point. The substantive work has been [8:30] finished. A little bit of file cleanup to be done, [8:33] but no expectations of any changes to the statements which [8:36] have been provided to you in draft. I won't go [8:39] through those statements in any detail, but if you have [8:42] any questions, I'm sure between Trina and myself, we'd be [8:45] happy to answer them for you. I just want to [8:47] quickly go over the audit itself. Remind members of Council [8:52] that we are appointed by the township to perform an [8:54] audit. We do the audit in accordance with Canadian Auditing [8:59] Standards. Those standards were not, have not changed since last [9:03] year. And so our audit approach was consistent. The statements [9:06] themselves are prepared in accordance with Canadian Public Sector Accounting [9:10] Standards. There were no significant changes to those standards from [9:14] last year. And so you're accounting policies that were used [9:17] to prepare this year's statements are consistent with those in [9:20] the previous year. As I mentioned, we have completed the [9:24] audit. Our audit looks at everything. We don't just pick [9:28] a few accounts and test those. But we do identify [9:33] for you, those areas where we think there's either a [9:35] little greater risk or they're more complicated. So the errors [9:39] we identified for risk revenue into third revenue. Those are [9:45] significant because Canadian Auditing Standards say we have to treat [9:48] them that way. When it comes to a municipality, the [9:52] biggest risk is specifically with recognition of deferred amounts. So [9:57] development charge revenue, revenue, you would be receiving from certain [10:01] types of reserve funds that are obligatory as a term [10:06] we used. You can only recognise revenue from those revenue [10:10] streams when you incur eligible expenses. And so that's an [10:14] area where we tend to focus a lot on. And [10:17] our testing in those areas this year was fine. No [10:19] issues were identified. Management override of controls. Is another area [10:25] where accounting standards require us to treat it as a [10:28] significant risk. The idea being there is a risk that [10:31] management could override a system. You have internal controls in [10:35] place. We look at those controls and we're satisfied with [10:38] them. But there is always a risk that management would [10:41] attempt to override those controls. We do specific testing in [10:44] that area to address that, primarily journal entry testing. We [10:49] will identify all the journal entries that were posted during [10:52] the year. We then profile those entries looking for certain [10:56] characteristics. If the characteristics are present, we then select those [10:59] entries and take a closer look at them, making sure [11:02] they were properly prepared, approved and posted, but primarily we're [11:06] looking at it from a business perspective, does this entry [11:09] actually make sense. That testing was completed, no issues or [11:13] concerns were identified. There is no indication of managements over [11:16] out of control. Uh, and the third item that was [11:19] listed was, um, with regards to year and accruals and [11:22] other estimates. And this is a common one that we [11:25] would put in any of our audit plans. Uh, simply [11:28] because there are certain amounts at the end of a [11:30] year where management does have to estimate. Uh, your provision [11:34] front collectible taxes, um, uh, tools for salaries, wages or [11:39] other potential liabilities. Um, and because those are estimates, we [11:44] can't verify it a hundred percent when we do the [11:45] audit. So for those areas, what we do is we [11:48] just assess the process that was undertaken to come up [11:51] with the estimate. We take a look at the backup [11:53] supporting the estimate. And we conclude whether or not we [11:56] believe those estimates are reasonable based on all the information [11:59] that's available. And based on our testing, no issues are [12:03] concerns were identified. Um, in terms of the audit itself, [12:07] as I mentioned largely finished, we don't audit a hundred [12:10] percent of all transactions. We are in fact, uh, auditing [12:14] to a materiality level. Um, the materiali level that was [12:18] set for this year's audit was 600, 000 dollars that [12:21] is consistent with last year's What that means is if [12:24] we find errors that individually or cumulatively exceed 600, 000, [12:29] we would not be in a position to provide you [12:31] with a clean or unmodified audit opinion. Uh, if you've [12:35] looked at the draft, you will notice that the opinion [12:38] we're proposing is a clean, unmodified opinion, indicating that we [12:41] did not identify any, uh, significant errors or we didn't [12:45] identify any actually, um, and so, uh, we will be [12:49] able to provide a clean, unmodified opinion once we wrap [12:53] things up for good. On the second page of my [12:56] executive summary, you'll see a list of outstanding matters. Uh, [13:00] that we need to go through just to wrap it [13:02] up. One is a side management representation letter. Uh, a [13:06] draft of that was included in the package that we [13:08] provided. That's a letter that we will ask management to [13:11] sign back, uh, to us just asserting that they've essentially [13:14] told us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but [13:17] the truth. Uh, and providers with all the backup that [13:19] we needed to support everything, uh, that we were looking [13:22] for. Uh, subsequent events, they need to be reviewed up [13:25] to the date of our audit opinion. So essentially we [13:28] have to do an assessment of has anything occurred at [13:31] the township from the 31st of December up until, uh, [13:36] the, uh, the date of our audit opinion. And if [13:39] that is the case, we need to assess whether or [13:41] not they would impact on the financial statements, uh, at [13:45] December 31st. Now obviously lots has happened, uh, at the [13:48] township from December 31st to today, uh, but our focus [13:51] is on, was there anything that happened that should or [13:54] would have impacted what the numbers look like at December [13:56] 31st. As of today, we are not aware of anything, [14:00] uh, would require any additional disclosure or changes. Uh, nor [14:03] do we expect to have anything, uh, from that. Um, [14:07] and then I mentioned already the third item on my [14:10] list completion of certain audit testing and documentation. Uh, we've [14:13] largely finished the audit as I say, uh, we just [14:16] have to go in and clean up our documentation and [14:18] make sure everything's been written down, et cetera, et cetera. [14:21] Um, that will happen within the next day or so. [14:23] And so, um, I'm quite comfortable that we'll be in [14:27] a position to issue your audit opinion very soon. Um, [14:31] the audit went well. Trina and her team were very [14:36] supportive providing us with information on a timely basis. Um, [14:41] and so from that, I really don't have anything more [14:45] to say other than we're close to being able to [14:48] wrap it up. And I think that's everything I need [14:50] to say. Perfect. Well, thank you very much, Mr. Deyn. [14:55] As council, that's what we want to hear is a [14:57] clean audit, obviously. So, uh, thanks again. Um, members of [15:00] Councillor Campbell, your first, go ahead. Uh, thank you, Mr. [15:05] Mayor and through you. Uh, first of all, to Stephen, [15:07] thank you for all the work you do, but especially, [15:10] thank you to Trina and her team because the fact [15:12] we have a clean audit really, uh, reflects the fact [15:15] that you folks are doing a good job and we [15:17] appreciate it. Absolutely. Thanks Lynn. Anyone else from Council. Seeing [15:25] none, seeing none on chambers. Okay. Uh, thanks again, Mr. [15:29] Lloyd. We'll see you next year, hopefully. Thank you very [15:31] much. Have a great day. Yep. You too. Uh, members [15:35] council, we do have a recommended motion. If I can [15:37] get a mover in a second here, please. Uh, move [15:40] by Councillor Frank, secular by Councillor Canavan, questions, comments. Seeing [15:44] none, all those in favor. That's carried. All right. No [15:50] delegations petitions. We do have some minutes to adopt. So [15:53] 9. 1 mover in a seconder for the minutes, please. [15:56] Councillor Hodgson, Councillor Campbell as a secondary questions, comments on [16:00] the minutes. Seeing none online or in the chamber, all [16:05] those in favor. That's carried. Thank you. Well, now move [16:09] into subcommittees and I'll start with, uh, 10. 1, which [16:12] is Finance chaired by myself. And 1011, this is the [16:15] proposed 2027 budget. Uh, can I get a mover in [16:18] a second or for that, please. Uh, Regional Councillor Pettingale, [16:23] seconded by. Councillor Campbell. Just before I go to Council, [16:27] I just, uh, give a summary here. Of course, a [16:30] strong mirror budget. That is one thing that strong mayor [16:33] legislation does not let us, uh, defer back. So this [16:36] is a little delayed because of the election. That's what [16:38] this is about. So questions, comments to the mover, the [16:42] seconder. Go ahead, Crip. Thank you. And through you, um, [16:51] I'd just like to say that it's, um, it's very [16:53] reassuring that we're taking advantage of completing the budget process [16:57] as early as possible. Um, so that departments can move [17:00] forward with procurement activities, tender projects sooner. Uh, and schedule [17:05] work more effectively. So, um, it's really great to see [17:09] that this is, uh, happening for the township. Coming up. [17:15] Thank you very much. No problem. Just to clarify, it's [17:18] actually a little bit later because of the election. So [17:21] it's not terrible, but we did get it to approve [17:23] last year before Christmas, but it will be a little [17:25] bit later this year, uh, just because of the election. [17:28] That's also. Completing the budget process as early as possible [17:32] when it can be. That's like as per the report. [17:35] And do what we can do. Yeah. For sure. Thank [17:37] you. Okay. Any other members of council. Seeing none, all [17:42] those in favor. That's carried. Okay. 10 one two. I [17:50] need to move her in secondary. This is for operating [17:51] results actual to budget, which is our quarterly report. So [17:55] a mover. Councillor can of van seconder. Councillor Frank to [18:01] the mover and seconder. Uh, no questions or concerns. Thanks. [18:06] Okay. Councillor Frank is a secondary. Same. No questions. Thanks. [18:13] Okay. The other members of Council. Seeing none, I just [18:17] want to thank Trina and her team again for this. [18:20] I know we're pretty close to last year, maybe a [18:22] little bit higher, but, uh, to our Director of Finance. [18:25] Do you want to comment on anything? No concerns. Thank [18:32] you very much. Uh, through the chair, um, I think [18:35] most of what, um, I wanted to say, uh, tried [18:38] to incorporate into the report. I don't have anything other [18:42] than, um, what I've identified in the report. But thank [18:45] you for asking. Okay. Thank you. And I think we [18:48] all appreciate these reports. It definitely gives us a snapshot [18:51] of where we are, uh, moving through the budget year. [18:53] So thanks again for that. Okay. Seeing no other questions [18:56] or comments. I'll call the question. All those in favor. [19:01] That's carried. Thank you. Okay. Next up we have 10. [19:06] 2, which is operations committee. And that's chair by regional [19:09] Councillor Petting. Bill go ahead, crew when you're ready. Thank [19:12] you very much. And welcome to Operations. We have three [19:16] reports this morning. Um, 10. 2. 1 Park Street Detication [19:23] as a public highway. Who would like to put this [19:25] one on the floor. Councillor [19:32] Campbell. And I would like to just ask the Director [19:38] of Operations to. Step up. And sorry, I'm looking for [19:41] a seconder as well. Yes, Mayor Jub, thank you. Um, [19:47] yes. So, um, Ben, if you wouldn't mind telling us [19:49] about this unnamed street in front of the arena, this [19:54] part of the road. It's actually not an unnamed street. [20:02] The street actually went across the arena property. The arena [20:07] property extended out into the right, well, there is no [20:12] right away. That's the problem. And this will create the [20:15] right way and clean this up. Thank you very much. [20:20] It's really good that, um, during the renovation of the [20:24] arena that we can get this straightened out. Any questions [20:27] or comments from the mover or the seconder. Nope. That's [20:33] all clear and well. Okay. I'm going to call the [20:35] question all those in favor. That carries. Uh, next is [20:42] 10. 2. Looking at the load limit study on the [20:46] Purvis Bridge. Could I get someone to put this on [20:48] the floor, please? Councillor Canavan and Councillor Frank. Any questions [20:57] or comments on this one. Not for me. Thank you. [21:04] Nope. I'm not seeing any all clear. So in there, [21:06] therefore I'll call the question. All those in favor. Thank [21:11] you, that carries. And the third one is 10. 2. [21:16] 3. This is a traffic calming report. Can I get [21:20] someone to put that on the floor, please? Mayor Jub [21:26] and Secondar Councillor Canaven. Thank you very much. Mayor Jub, [21:32] questions, comments on this. Yeah. Thank you very much, Chair. [21:36] Um, just a question on P Street. I know, uh, [21:39] Councillor Cannabin and a few others. We've been working on [21:41] some of this. Um, I don't see Peace Street on [21:44] the list. So do you need to add to this [21:47] to our Director of Public Works. I know it was [21:52] mentioned in there, but it's not in the actual motion. [21:54] That's right. Um, you can include it in the motion. [21:59] Amendment. Okay. So I'll just chair, I'll ask for a [22:03] friend named to include the recommendations for Beast Street for [22:06] the LED light and the four way stop. Excellent. Thank [22:09] you very much. And that's all I have. Thanks. Yeah. [22:13] Important to have that in there because it was discussed. [22:16] And we saw that, um, stop sign would be a [22:20] preferred option to ballards because of the trucks coming from [22:24] the south end of peace going north. Or going, you [22:28] know, the opposite direction. But the traffic for those ballards. [22:32] Yes. Councillor Canavan comments questions. Thank you. Um, I'd also [22:39] like to ask that further consideration be given to a [22:42] speed hump at P Street, the stop sign just before [22:46] Cameron. And the reason being is there's not just traffic [22:50] speeding northbound. It's also coming south of right off Cameron, [22:54] right on the piece. They're heading to the park or [22:56] wherever. That's where we see a lot of the racing [22:58] happening as well as when the morning shift or the [23:03] morning shift to the factory at the end of the [23:05] road happens, um, there's, uh, excessive speeds always at that [23:10] intersection. So although the four - way stop, I'm in [23:14] full support of that. That'll be definitely a deterrent coming [23:17] from the park, um, but the prohibit people from flying [23:24] on the pea street from Cameron. Thank you, Councillor Canavan. [23:27] I know that there are not funds for speed humps [23:31] right now. And I think that although we took that, [23:33] uh, suggestion for would, I think that's why we're not [23:36] seeing it in this report for action. It's not to [23:39] say that that couldn't be actioned at another time and [23:42] that it could be looked at. But, um, right now [23:46] we're contemplating items that are within the present budget. Unless [23:53] you'd like to add anything. Well, I guess that, oh, [23:57] sorry, go ahead, Ben. I couldn't see there. I was [24:00] actually planning on putting the radar speed board in that [24:03] area. Okay. That's helpful. Thank you. Um, secondly, I would [24:10] also suggest that we add, um, you know, when we, [24:13] when the request came about the changing the yield sign [24:17] to the stop sign that was specific to, um, mental [24:21] lands and windor, I believe in the meddling subdivision. And [24:28] so rather than just leave that for consideration down the [24:32] road, I wonder if we could at least follow up [24:36] with that request. It's one yield sign. I have a [24:39] feeling it's the only yield sign in that subdivision, um, [24:42] but to change it to a stop sign because there [24:45] was some concerns from a resident, uh, around that. And [24:48] I don't think we need to look at the entire [24:51] township to change every single yield sign to a stop [24:55] sign just to address this concern. Thank you very much [24:59] for that clarification. Councillor Kennevent. I'm just going to direct [25:06] that to our director. I wonder if this is something [25:08] that could come. Next. If Council wishes me to look [25:17] at it, you can add the add that to the [25:20] recommendation. All right. I'll ask that as a friendly amendment [25:25] to the mover. Yeah. I'm good with that. Can we, [25:29] uh, approve this today or does this have to come [25:31] back with a by - law. Sends to. Final. [25:44] That would have to be approved through a bylaw. Okay. [25:49] So yeah, I'm good with the friendly amendment. I just [25:52] have to come to the next meeting in September for [25:53] that portion. That's all. Okay. Anything else, cancer kind of [26:00] event? No, your hand is now down. Councillor Frank. Oh, [26:03] that's it. Thank you. Yes. Thank you, Madam Chair, through [26:07] you, to Director of Public Works. Um, and you're one [26:12] of the, I think it's seven. You said the yield [26:15] signs you don't have and half. Um, I'm just curious [26:19] of why you do half and half, not all of [26:21] them. Like I drilled by there every day. And you [26:25] almost going to come to stop and those geosigned to [26:27] be doing property anyways. Cause you could just, you could [26:29] summon them R blind. You don't see the car until [26:32] you get close to it. So I'm just curious why [26:35] we couldn't do all of them at once. Budget considerations. [26:44] Okay. Apparently we have 2000 signs over 2, 000 science [26:48] to maintain in the township. You actually have more than [26:53] that. There's 2000 signs that I have to check the [26:57] reflectivity on every year, which includes stop sign, yield signs, [27:02] et cetera regulatory signs. And then there's other signs beyond [27:07] that. I just thought we're talking about Cannington here, not [27:11] the whole, not the whole township. I'm not sure that [27:17] there's too many yield signs outside of Cannington. I'd have [27:22] to check. If you want a full report on the [27:27] changing yield signs over, then add that to the recommendation [27:31] too. And I'll bring one forward. I'm up to the [27:35] mover. I wouldn't mind seeing it. Mayor Jub, any comments [27:43] on that at this point? Yeah. My, my opinion. That's [27:46] going to be a lot of public consultation. That's changing [27:49] a whole lot of that's a major move. So I [27:52] would recommend that for now, because of the cost, let's [27:55] just approve what's here for now. And let's let the [27:57] new council talk about that with a new budget. That [27:59] would be my opinion. Okay. I'm fine with that, Madam [28:02] Chair. Thank you. That's all I have. Thank you, Councillor [28:04] Frank. Any other questions, comments on this, um, item. No, [28:10] I'm not seeing any. So I'm going to call the [28:12] question. All those in favor. Thank you, that carries. Any [28:19] other comments or questions under operations before I hand it [28:23] back to Mayor Jump? Yes, thank you, Mayor Judd. Thank [28:28] you, Chair. Just looking for an update on our rural [28:30] roads program that we're quite in depth with right now. [28:33] And most specifically our external contractor for ditching and what [28:36] the update that that is. Yeah. He worked last week. [28:44] And I think we're done. To a locations or three. [28:50] And then we're headed to the next one, but he [28:51] had other work to do. On like today, tomorrow and [28:57] Wednesday. So we won't be back until Thursday. Okay. Once [29:01] the external contract contractor's done with, we budgeted 30, 000, [29:06] um, are we going to continue on our own throughout [29:09] summer fall. I haven't made that decision yet. But I [29:13] will. Shortly. Okay. And the other, uh, brushing and shouldering, [29:20] how are we doing on that portion of it? The [29:22] brushing is, uh, going along well. And the berm removal [29:29] kind of have to wait for that a bit because [29:31] you take the dirt out onto the calcium and then [29:34] it gets dusty. So we'll wait until a little later [29:37] to start that. Okay. But everything in the report from [29:42] a month ago, that's still on track to be completed [29:45] in 2026. I hope so. I said in the report [29:51] that it was a lot of work. And we're working [29:54] away at it as much as we can. Okay. And [29:59] is there going to be a follow up report on [30:00] that in September? That gives us six weeks at least [30:04] of work. So can you maybe just do an internal [30:06] memo for the next council meeting just to see where [30:08] we are on those KPIs? Sure. Okay. Perfect. Thank you. [30:13] That's ultra. Thank you very much. And I don't see [30:18] any other comments or questions. So I'm going to hand [30:21] it back to you Mayor Jub. Thank you, Regional Councillor [30:25] Penningale. Next up is 10 three, which is Park Record [30:27] Facilities. And that's chaired by Councillor Campbell. Lynn, go ahead. [30:30] Yes. Welcome to Park Rex and Facilities and through you, [30:33] Mr. Mayor, our first report, 10. 3. 1 is the [30:37] MacLeod Park update. And Councillor Canavans, the mover of the [30:43] Recommended Motion. We would like to second it. Your job. [30:48] Would you like to speak to account, Sir Canada. Um, [30:52] just to say thrilled finally beginning this, um, in more [30:58] reformal, uh, you know, something that we can present to [31:01] the public, um, they've been waiting a long time. Uh, [31:04] lots of great initiatives on this as we saw, um, [31:08] back in our meeting, I think it was last October, [31:11] but nice to have some prioritization given to some of [31:14] the, um, improvements and new initiatives. And, um, yeah, we [31:20] had a great discussion. We all seemed on the same [31:21] page, the subcommittee. So, uh, I'm anxious to see some [31:27] of these move forward. Thank you for your remarks. Mayor [31:32] job is the seconder. You have the flow. Thank you, [31:35] Chair. Y'all just echo what Angela said. It's definitely excited [31:38] to get this going. I actually went for a walk [31:39] through the whole park on Saturday just to see, uh, [31:42] get my head around it all. And the work that [31:44] we've already done in the last couple of years, like [31:47] pavilions and the playground and now starting the basketball and [31:51] pickleball. So the locks on the go, which is great [31:53] to see. Um, I do have some questions. So I [31:55] see these three priorities, which we definitely need to narrow [31:58] down on. I don't see a whole lot talked about [32:01] the multipurpose field, which was budgeted, uh, this year to [32:05] do casting. I know it is mentioned in their assemblance, [32:07] but I'm just clarifying that that's still getting done. Through [32:12] the chair to the mayor. We are still planning on [32:14] doing the soil testing. Um, as per the budget, it's [32:19] just that the field was not a prioritie of the [32:24] committee. During our discussions. Okay. And that's what I'm getting [32:28] at. So it was a priority in budget discussions. So [32:33] I think that, that was passed by this council. So [32:35] that still has to go. That's already directed to go [32:37] ahead. And now I see we're going to add these [32:39] three for pricing into the next year's budgets, but that [32:42] was. After public consultation, right. Sorry, Mr. [32:52] Mayor, you, uh, you broke up on our end here. [32:56] Oh, sorry. Yeah. So that was budgeted. That was already [32:58] approved in this year's budget to move forward with the [33:00] field testing. So as long as that's going to happen [33:03] this year and that's still a project that cause that [33:06] was approved by Council. Yes. That's still going to proceed. [33:09] Okay. And then we're going to price out the additional [33:12] three for five grants opportunities next year's budget and so [33:15] on. That's correct. Yes. Okay. One of my main priorities [33:19] is a splash pad for Cannington and Sunderland to be [33:22] honest. Um, how, I see we're putting washrooms and moving [33:27] forward with washrooms and starting the design using beavertons. And [33:30] I like that idea. How can we include pipe pricing [33:34] and all the infrastructure for the splash pad. To the [33:38] motion. We would have to look at, um, where the [33:44] water connections are best to come from. In order for [33:48] us to make some determinations as to where that would [33:52] depricing would be. Okay. I'd really like, well, I'm going [33:56] to recommend that we do add that to this. Um, [33:59] I know we don't have water right now, but this [34:01] is when we start planting for it now for these [34:03] projects, right? And I think a splash pad is something [34:06] the residents would welcome with open arm. So, um, I [34:09] would like to add to the motion just to price [34:12] out the splash pad infrastructure as part of this. Mover. [34:18] Councillor Canada. Yeah. Definitely support that. And thank you for [34:21] bringing that forward, Mayor job. I've also seen that as [34:25] a huge priority, but, you know, we've been told again [34:28] and again, no water. It's going to be like so [34:31] far down the list, but it would be good to, [34:34] yeah, just investigate it, be kind of prepared since we [34:36] are looking at it for the washers as well. So [34:39] when the time is right, we can jump in there [34:42] and get some cool down, uh, activities going on. Are [34:49] you, um, finish Mayor job. Do you have any more [34:52] questions or comments? No, I just like what Angela said [34:55] there. This is of course we're doing the environmental assessment [34:58] now. What water and sewage capacity is going to come. [35:01] And I'd hate for that to come in five years [35:03] time and we haven't done any crap work for that. [35:05] So as long as it's on the list of four, [35:07] then I'm happy. So I'm going to thank you, Chair. [35:09] I agree splash pads are, are great for families. Does [35:13] anyone else from Council have a comment or a question [35:16] regarding the cloud park report. I don't see everybody's [35:26] picture on the screen now. So if you don't have [35:29] your, if you have your hand up, please contact me [35:32] verbally. Can the mover in second or just please confirm [35:39] that the wording in the resolution that shared on the [35:41] screen is correct? I'll just get my two cents, Mary [35:47] Lee. So I don't think Splash Pratt infrastructure. Which is [35:52] like getting the pipes and whatnot there. I don't think [35:53] we'd be the, to the point of pricing a full [35:56] splash pad at this point just to get everything ready [35:58] to go. And this is a number of years down [36:00] the road. So just splash bad infrastructure, but not actually [36:03] the splash pad. Yeah. I'm good with that. [36:16] Okay. I think it's time to call the question. All [36:19] those in favor of doing this fantastic park. And that [36:24] looks unanimous. Thank you very much. Our second report is [36:27] regarding the Beavert and Harbour Washington. It's 10. 3. 2. [36:32] Do we have a mover. Councillor Frank and a seconder. [36:40] Councillor, sorry, Mayor Job. Don't want to demote you. Would [36:45] you like to speak to it Councillor Frank. Yeah. Thank [36:48] you through you, Madam Chair. Just, uh, looked at the [36:52] report. I didn't just look at it, but I'm just [36:54] thinking that it's too bad that it did come up, [36:57] uh, over budget. But, uh, maybe the treasure could tell [37:02] me, just remind me how much is in that parked [37:05] reserve. Through the chair at the end of 2025, we [37:12] roughly had about 270, 000 dollars in the parks reserve. [37:19] So I was going to cut into a quite significantly. [37:24] About an easy get done too. So, uh, once we, [37:28] we put it's awarded the timeline for construction. Through the [37:36] two frank, the tender included construction being completed prior to [37:43] December. So I believe it was mid - November. So [37:45] we're not paying for winter heat. Okay. Thank you. I [37:54] just, um. It's not, we usually open during a winter, [37:58] if I can recall. Is that correct? That is correct. [38:03] The current building is not heated and not designed for [38:08] winter heat. Uh, the new building, it was requested by [38:11] Council that these be made for full season or year [38:15] round. Therefore, there is included heating and heat tracing for [38:20] piping and such. Okay. Thank you. Uh, that's all I [38:24] have, Madam Chair. Thank you, Councillor Frank. To the secondary [38:29] job. Thank you, Chair. I just want to point out [38:33] what our Director of Finance just noted that our parks [38:36] reserve has very little amount in that. So Council needs [38:39] to be aware that is an underfunded reserve. And I [38:42] can't stress that enough. And Trino will tell us the [38:44] same thing. So we need to get that reserve pumped [38:47] up. And I just wanted to throw that out there [38:49] again. Thank you. Good point. Uh, Councillor Canavan. Thanks Councillor [38:56] Campbell. Um, yeah, that's exactly my concern. Uh, we'd be [39:01] using over half of this reserve. And we just looked [39:03] at a beautiful park plan that, you know, any, anything, [39:08] this restricts so many other things. And I think there's [39:10] even something else coming up on the agenda asking for, [39:13] you know, additional money, um, is there, is there any [39:17] other, uh, reserve? This could be coming from. I guess [39:24] a question for Trina? No, there isn't. Then I would [39:32] say also like Mayor Jub, I think we need to, [39:37] obviously this project needs to be complete. You know, we [39:39] already deemed it's very important. Um, we want to see [39:42] something similar in Cannington, but, uh, I think we do [39:45] have to then make a concerted effort to put, uh, [39:51] replace a lot of those funds in the park reserve [39:53] and get building that up again. That's kind of got [39:56] to be a priority for the next council, uh, during [39:59] budget. Can make a note somewhere. Mayor job, you have [40:07] your hand up. Yeah. I just want to do, I [40:09] know I talked about this in budget as well, but, [40:12] uh, I know we're replacing a bathroom, but it is [40:14] a much more elaborate bathroom. I'm wondering if we can [40:17] use maybe 10 or 20 percent from our DC reserve. [40:24] It was not specifically mentioned in the DC by - [40:29] law unless it's part of the sort of placeholder that [40:33] we had. There was a placeholder there on, I can't [40:37] remember what the wording was specifically. I'd have to check, [40:41] to be honest. Um, and I will say that we [40:43] are not collecting much in DCs lately. Um, there's not [40:48] a significant amount of, um, parks DC's available either. Okay. [40:54] So just to Councillor Canavan's point, as we move into [40:57] the MacLeod Park in the coming years, hopefully we get [41:00] building happening. All the good stuff. But, uh, the, the [41:03] DCs at that time could be used for a lot [41:06] of the McLeod Park plan if it's a new initiative. [41:09] Is that correct? If I could, it has to be [41:12] a growth related project. Like a splash pad. Both related [41:17] project. Okay. Then we might be able to make the [41:20] argument, but if it's not growth related, I can't use [41:23] the DCs. Okay. But a new initiative such as a [41:28] splash pad would be eligible. Again, it's all depends if [41:34] there's growth in the municipality. I can't say for sure. [41:39] Um, if there'd be growth to warrant the splash pad [41:42] and we collect the money, then I might be able [41:44] to use it. If not, then we can't. Yeah. Okay. [41:50] Just a two old moving forward. We'd obviously, we'll try [41:52] to utilise DCs as much as we can moving forward, [41:55] but we also know we need to get building going [41:56] again. So that's all. Thank you. Thank you. Uh, Councillor [42:01] Canavan, you still have your hand up. Yeah. I just [42:05] wanted to add to that because, um, it was the [42:07] last Council meeting. I was thinking of where we were [42:10] talking about the dissatisfaction of some of the components of [42:14] the King Street Park. You know, and we would look [42:19] to Park's budget at that as well. So I'm just [42:22] getting concerned that there's on this unexpected money going, you [42:26] know, to places when we've also got to keep in [42:29] our mind that there's these new initiatives that have been [42:33] on not so even new. It's been on the map [42:35] for 12 plus years. MacLeod Park Plan. So I just, [42:38] uh. Just want to make sure that the money's being [42:41] spread through at the township. Thank you. Any other questions [42:47] or comments from Councilmembers. I don't see any hands. So [42:54] maybe we'll call the question. All those in favor. And [42:59] that's Carrie. Thank you very much. I believe that concludes [43:02] Park's Reck and Facilities unless anyone has another issue they [43:05] like to bring up. If not, back to you Mayor [43:10] job. Thank you, Chair Campbell. Next up is 10 - [43:14] 4, which is tourism at Dev and Community Committee, which [43:16] is carried by Councillor Canavan. Go ahead, Angela. Thanks, manage [43:20] up. There are no reports for this committee at this [43:23] time. Are there any questions from Council members for staff. [43:29] Seeing none, I'll pass back to you. Thank you, Councillor [43:33] Canavan. 10 - 5 is next, which is Protection Services, [43:36] and that's chaired by Councillor Frank. Go ahead. Peter. Thank [43:38] you, Mr. Mayor. We have three reports. First report is [43:43] 10. 5. 1. Report a Fire Department personnel. I need [43:47] a mover and seconder. And ends the can. [43:58] Any questions or concerns. Yeah, just to the Chief Chair, [44:04] um, I haven't seen a report like this before. So [44:06] what's the rationale? I'm, I'm happy with it. Just watch [44:09] so Ashton Ellen. Is this something we'll see yearly? And [44:12] what's our maximum number? Is it 90 Firefighters right now. [44:16] Through the chair to the mayor. Yeah, I just thought [44:18] it was a good idea. Yeah, it hasn't been done [44:20] in quite some time. Uh, we did make up some [44:23] plaques and hang them in the fire hall to display [44:26] who firefighters are. But I thought it was a good [44:28] idea to put it out there just to, cause we [44:31] have had some change over. Um, and the maximum across [44:34] the board is 90 firefighters. So we're, uh, I try [44:39] to maintain the best I can, 30 at each station. [44:42] We are low at 8, 1 and 82, but we're [44:44] pretty good at A3. So I just thought it was [44:47] idea to put that out. Okay. And the turnover in [44:51] the volunteer firefighter world is just the name of the [44:53] game. Right. So, um, when is the next recruitment class [44:58] and at higher plant. We get a lot of questions [45:01] on that. That's all. Yeah. Through the chair to the [45:04] mayor, the next plan is, uh, we'll probably start advertising [45:07] in around late October. And the interviews and come up [45:11] with a list and start the training in around January, [45:15] February. Okay. Perfect. Thanks for this. I like the report. [45:19] That's great. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Uh, two secondary, Angela. [45:24] Go ahead. Thank you. Um, yeah, just as I mentioned [45:28] in the report, uh, we certainly are grateful and proud [45:31] of our, uh, Firefight of personnel and thank them for [45:35] their Detication and skill set and effort. Thanks. Thank you. [45:41] Next, uh, I think I got, uh, Castle Campbell. Oh, [45:47] thank you chair Frank. I'd just like to thank, um, [45:51] Chief Harrison for the report. It was interesting to look [45:53] through the names. I recognise quite a few. I just [45:56] think that Brock is very fortunate because considering we're small [46:00] municipality. So many people step up to serve as volunteer [46:04] firefighters. So thanks to all. Thank you. Uh, Cancer Chambers. [46:11] Go ahead region Council Pentagon. You hand up. Thank you. [46:15] Yes. Thank you very much. And through you. Um, I [46:18] would just like to echo that. It was really wonderful [46:19] to see the names of these familiar residents in Brocktown [46:23] Chip. And we are incredibly grateful for how highly trained [46:28] they are and their responsiveness. And it was great to [46:30] see those reports. So thank you so much. Thank you. [46:34] Anybody else for questions. No, um, I just want to [46:38] echo that, uh, what's Misa already. I think, uh, Chief, [46:42] we usually get a pretty good response to call outs [46:45] for recruits. Is that correct? Yes. Through the chair. Yes. [46:51] We do get quite a few applicants apply. And we [46:54] have some right now actually on file that we'll look [46:57] at, uh, yeah, we usually do get a lot of [47:00] applicants. Yeah. Cause you look around and I still have [47:04] a lot of friends in an Ontario and all this. [47:06] You look at the Recruit classes. They might even have [47:08] just four or five, but we seem to have pretty [47:11] good response to our, uh, ads. So see, no other [47:19] questions. They'll call the question. On camera. Oh, I can't. [47:25] No, sorry. Sorry. I couldn't see your hand with that, [47:28] with your background. I wasn't talking either. Uh, again, I [47:33] just wanted to share the same thing. I really appreciate [47:36] everyone's work and through you, Mr. Chair and thank you, [47:40] uh, to Fire Chief Harrison as well. Uh, it's really [47:43] great to see that was a really interesting report. So [47:45] thank you. Councillor Hodson. Okay. Uh, now I'll call the [47:51] question. All in favor of report. That passes. Let's go [47:56] to 10. 5. 2. And that is the By - [48:03] Law Animal Service Division. I need a mover. Council Canville. [48:10] And secondary. Councillor Hodgson. To the mover. Any question? No, [48:18] I'm just, uh, always very interested to see the activity [48:21] in animals services and thank everybody for all they do. [48:26] Thank you. And to the seconder. Thank you. And through [48:31] your, uh, same. I really, this is one of my [48:33] favourite reports to be honest to see what's going on [48:36] and what's coming through to us. So, uh, thank you, [48:39] uh, Sarah for her work and her team's work. And [48:44] chambers. Joseph Pineco? Yes. Thank you very much. And through [48:48] you, um, to Sarah. I noticed that, um, the number [48:52] of injured wildlife reports. Significantly from 24 and 25. And [48:58] it's really great to see this. I just wondered if [49:00] you had any comments on that. It is, it is [49:04] absolutely great to see. Um, that it has gone down. [49:08] Um, we haven't had a lot of the expected bird [49:11] flus and things like that happen, which was a concern. [49:14] So we are happy about that. Um, it's just one [49:17] of those things that fluctuates year to year, depending on [49:20] certain diseases that might be found in the environment. But [49:23] on the whole, yes, we're doing well with wildlife services [49:26] at the moment. A few extra bears this year, but [49:29] other than that, it's been okay. Thanks very much for [49:32] that. Mary Chub. Thank you, Chair. I just heard Sarah [49:39] say the word flu and things are looking good. So [49:41] would this be a good time to bring an amendment [49:43] forward or a motion forward to allow back - aired [49:46] chickens and all our urban areas now. That's a joke, [49:52] Sarah. I know. I was going to say through the [49:54] chair to the mayor. Probably not the greatest time. It [49:59] is in my Almerita though. We'll leave that for now. [50:02] Thank you. Thank you Mr. Mayor. That's a pretty good [50:05] joke there. Um, so a new report, you mentioned, sir. [50:10] You mentioned that, um, vehicles and all that, uh, we [50:15] spent some money, I believe last budget to get your [50:18] van fixed up. Is that failing again? Uh, yes. Both [50:22] of them are having some failures due to age, both [50:25] the by - law truck and the animal services van, [50:29] unlike most of the vehicles within the municipality. Ours actually [50:33] run 365 days a year in our staff for on, [50:36] of course, in the summer till midnights. And we have [50:38] on call. So those vehicles are more so operating, consistently. [50:43] And they're both reaching their seventh and eighth year. So, [50:46] um, it's just that type of impact. So we're looking [50:48] at, um, again, one of the vehicles had to go [50:51] in with for a significant amount of repair. It's just [50:56] use. It's expected. We get the oil changes every month [51:02] or very great on the maintenance of them. But it's [51:04] just wear and tear for their aging. So I know [51:08] that we're looking at some, um, stuff in the future [51:12] to be able to replace at least one or two [51:14] of them. Um, to get something more consistent, you know, [51:17] through our reserves and other things, um, in, uh, future [51:21] budget years. As per our replacement, um, for vehicles that [51:25] the Council has a policy on. And I'm sure, like [51:29] usual, we'll get the report that what needs to be [51:31] fixed and et cetera, et cetera. So in the future, [51:35] that's something they've got to think about down the line [51:38] for the mayor's budget. Um, so any other questions to [51:43] staff. Seeing none, I'll call the question, all of favor. [51:50] That's passes. So the last report is 10. 5. 3. [51:56] And if they're department stats, I need to move in [52:01] a second here. Uh, Councillor Hudson and Marichub. [52:11] To mover. Through you. Uh, no questions for me again, [52:18] as I've already said, I really like these reports. I [52:21] think it's great to see what's going on in the [52:22] township. And to see all the hard work that our [52:26] staff we're doing. Orange. Thank you to the seconder. All [52:33] good here. Thank you. Thank you. Uh, Chambers. Good, thank [52:38] you. I'm all good. Okay. Good. Great report. No questions. [52:43] I'll call the question. All in favor. And not pass [52:48] back to you, Mr. Bear. Thank you very much, Councillor [52:53] Frank. Next up we have 10. 6, which is Development [52:55] Services. Uh, I will share that if everyone's okay with [52:58] that with the Councillor Double dot here. Okay. And there's [53:02] nothing on the agenda, but any questions to staff. See, [53:08] not a liner in the chamber. I will now go [53:10] on to 10. 7, which is General Government Committee, which [53:13] is chaired by Councillor Hodgson. Ron, go ahead when you're [53:15] ready. Excuse me, Mr. Mayor. I had a question. Couldn't [53:19] get my hand up quick enough. Go ahead. Go ahead. [53:24] Sorry about that. Sorry. Okay. Um, to Director of Not [53:28] Public Words Director Parks, I just noticed walking around that, [53:33] um, the Kingston, when the King Street did. Log with [53:36] Park Track as being repaired from the, because it runoff [53:40] in the storm, all the water we had. The material [53:43] you being used, where are we getting that? It's the [53:45] same as a track. It doesn't look like it. Through [53:50] the chair to Councillor Frank. I'm not sure what was [53:53] done. I'll have to, uh, check with staff to see [53:56] what repairs. If there was anything done there, it would [53:59] have been, uh, dragging of material. It may just be [54:02] a different colour due to it. It's moisture content. Uh, [54:06] checking. I will respond to via email. Thank you. Uh, [54:12] uh, thing about the track. It's getting a lot of [54:15] growth in the middle of the track. From CC leans, [54:20] I try to pull one out and look at a [54:21] tree. I wonder if something can be done about getting, [54:25] uh, just trimming it or doing something to get declared [54:28] right in the middle of the track. There's getting some [54:30] stuff growth in there and really shouldn't be. So I [54:34] don't know what can be done. Again, I haven't been [54:37] by the track recently. I will, uh, allow staff to [54:40] take a look at it and report back to me. [54:43] Okay. Thank you. That's all I have, Mr. Mayor. Thank [54:45] you. Uh, go ahead, Run. Almost forgot it was me [54:53] again. The first report we have is 2026 GG 012 [55:01] on Closed Meeting Investigator Program from our Deputy Clerk. Can [55:05] I get a motion. In a seconder. I'll move it. [55:09] Count Canaven and seconded by, uh, Regional Councillor Pettingale to [55:15] the mover. I had no questions or comments. It's straightforward. [55:19] Thank you. Till the seconder. Yeah. Thank you. Likewise, no [55:23] questions or comments. Good housekeeping. Anyone else. Not seeing any [55:30] alcohol the question. All those in favor. Past. I have [55:38] a loaded docket today. Do, sorry. Just so I'm Claire. [55:43] Do we need to there's a. Bylaw. Marilyn. Do we [55:47] need to. That's just fine as it is. That's Marley [55:53] there by Laws section as well. Okay. So we don't [55:58] need that's all included. Thank. You. Okay. Then we'll go [56:06] on to 2026 GG 013 from our acting CAO and [56:11] the clerk. I kind of get a motion and a [56:14] seconder. It's Vestergar Drainage petition. I'm happy to move this. [56:21] Motion by regional Councillor Peningale seconded by Councillor Canaven to [56:27] the motion. Thank you. Um, I'm happy to go with [56:33] the recommended motion. And I just had a little question. [56:40] It's the costs are added to the tax role and [56:42] recovered over a prescribed period. I just wondered if we [56:45] could get a little clarification from Clerk's Department on what [56:49] that looks like. To chair to Regional Councillor Ben Gill. [56:56] So the, um, this is an application for a new [57:01] municipal drain and similar to our other municipal drains that [57:05] we already have in place when the engineers report is [57:11] concluded. It will identify the number of properties that are [57:14] contributing to this drain. And, uh, each property will be [57:19] assessed based on, uh, overall size and contribution to the [57:23] drain. And it'll be a percentage of the total cost [57:27] that we'll be added to the tax roll. And, and, [57:31] and sorry, just to also advise, pardon me, any future [57:38] maintenance to a municipal drain. Uh, over the years, the [57:42] municipality will put those costs aside. And then, uh, allocate [57:49] those costs to the drains at an appropriate time period. [57:56] Thank you very much. Yes. So I do agree again [58:00] with, um. With the recommendation that the petition for drainage [58:04] signed by Chris Festergaard submitted under the Authority of Section [58:08] 4 of the Drainage, be accepted. Thank you. Thank you. [58:12] And to the secondary. Councillor Canaven. Uh, no comment. Thank [58:17] you. Uh, Mayor Trub. Thank you, Chair. Um, just a [58:22] couple of questions. I want to actually just clarify. I [58:25] have been through one of these, uh, a few of [58:27] us here have, I think about eight years ago with [58:28] the eight strain. Just to staff. And again, this is [58:32] provincial legislation that we're the lucky ones that have to [58:34] administer it. Um, if anybody asked, we don't just want [58:39] to do these things because they do tend to, they're [58:41] a little bit controversial because as the acting CAO said, [58:45] people will be legislated to, they have to pay for [58:48] their portion. Um, on that, if the township could be [58:51] in the engineer report as well, that we, we could [58:54] be forced to put some work in our ditch. So [58:56] there could be a cost of the township. Is that [58:59] fair. Through the chair to, Mayor Judd, that is correct. [59:04] If there's lands of the township owns, including any roadways [59:09] that are contributing to the drain or need to improve [59:13] the drain, then we will be part of that assessment. [59:17] Okay. And last question is, uh, if Mr. Vestergaard, if, [59:21] if they pull out of this and decide, I don't [59:24] want to go any further is, are they responsible for [59:27] all the incurred costs up to them? Through you, uh, [59:33] chair to Mayor Jub. You had previously, uh, noted the [59:39] Yates Drain. That was your last exercise. Um, that, that [59:44] applicant did withdraw. And all the costs were absorbed by [59:47] them. So yeah, similarly, uh, in this particular, um, exercise, [59:53] uh, as you had rightfully stated, it does, uh, does [59:57] become potentially contentious with neighbours. Uh, the engineer's report will [1:00:03] completely deal with that. And then the, the applicant at [1:00:07] any point in time prior to the adoption of the [1:00:11] official municipal drain chem withdrawal their application and be responsible [1:00:16] for all costs, including the engineer's costs. Okay. And the [1:00:22] public tends to come to Council on these issues, especially [1:00:24] when they hear that they might have to pay a [1:00:26] hundred thousand dollars. I'm just throwing a number out there. [1:00:29] But our response is that this is provincial legislation under [1:00:32] the drainact Act that we have no choice but to [1:00:35] administer. Is that do I have that right? Again, through [1:00:38] your chair to Mayor Judd, um, I wouldn't throw out [1:00:40] a hundred thousand dollars. That tends to scare people a [1:00:43] lot. Yeah. I just a number. Yeah. I would wait [1:00:45] to the engineer's report to see what the numbers are. [1:00:49] But yes, it, uh, it is provincially legislated. We're just [1:00:54] the conduit for the applicant to the other, other, um, [1:00:58] attributing property owners that are contributing to the drain. And [1:01:04] we'll, we'll appropriate the costs associated through the report. Okay. [1:01:09] Just that helps council when they do get calls. Cause [1:01:12] we will get calls. And I didn't mean to throw [1:01:14] the hundred thousand dollar number out there, but the eighth [1:01:16] grain was more than a hundred thousand for some neighbouring. [1:01:18] So they, these things tend to get very expensive at [1:01:21] all. I'm trying to say. So okay. That's all. If [1:01:23] I may, um, through your chair, just add another point [1:01:28] of interest to council in all likelihood, the engineer's report, [1:01:34] um, and public meetings will not come to council until [1:01:37] probably the 2027 schedule. That's all for me, Chair. Excellent. [1:01:46] Thank you very much. Great questions, Majorab as well. Thank [1:01:48] you. Could I ask any questions. Yep. Thank you. Uh, [1:01:53] Regional Council Tanga. Thank you. Um, and I hear what [1:01:56] Mayor Jeb says and I remember the Yates Dream, but [1:01:59] just to the clerk, um, with this Resident asking for [1:02:04] the Drain to be looked after in this way. Could [1:02:06] you just maybe go over, if it didn't go this [1:02:09] way, alternatives. You know, how else this could be resolved. [1:02:18] For your chair to Regional Council Baringill. The alternatives would [1:02:22] be that, uh, the property owner and the property owners [1:02:25] would deal with it independently whether that's a towel drain [1:02:29] on their existing property. Or trying to deal with the [1:02:33] neighbours on, uh, private matter. Thank you. And I can [1:02:40] only assume it's coming to us as this, uh, recommendation [1:02:43] for whatever reason had to bring it here. So thank [1:02:47] you. Thank you. Renato, do you have another question or [1:02:53] set them. Mr. Trent. Perfect. Uh, anyone else. I will [1:02:59] call the question all those in favor. Past. Bear with [1:03:06] me for one second. Uh, 2026 GG 014 2027 Council [1:03:14] Meeting Schedule. Can I get motioned or in a seconder. [1:03:22] Mag travel. Councillor Frank. To the mover. Nothing [1:03:32] to the secondary. Nothing any questions. Maybe straightforward, I think. [1:03:39] Excellent. I'll call the question. All those in favor. Past. [1:03:46] I think. That concludes me. Oh no. The rail storage [1:03:52] is minus well. Right. Yeah. Uh, sorry, Garth, thank you, [1:03:57] girl. I'm not used to having so many twenty six [1:04:01] GG 015. So request from the Beaverton Lions regarding rail [1:04:06] container storage, uh, beside the current line shed in Bieverton. [1:04:11] Can I get a mover in a seconder. Uh, Councillor [1:04:14] Frank Councillor Canaven to the mover. I can sit another [1:04:21] reason why we should have that report there would take, [1:04:26] they would take that, it would look, you probably wouldn't [1:04:28] even see it, but they, they're willing to put a [1:04:30] fence around it and all this and make a look [1:04:33] half decent. And that's, you know, that's reality of the [1:04:36] times now. A lot of people use containers for storage [1:04:39] drive around to miss pally. You'll see a lot of [1:04:41] containers. So I have no issue with, uh, doing that, [1:04:46] having it, uh, there. And I'm pretty sure they will [1:04:50] make a look pretty good. Thank you. Just a point [1:04:54] of order. Yeah. Right now the motion is just do [1:04:58] nothing. It's receive. Okay. And Councillor Canavan. Read the [1:05:07] second. Am I losing my mind. I am the secondary. [1:05:11] And I was going to add that we actually approve [1:05:14] that request rather than just receive it. And simply, yeah, [1:05:22] for the fact that, well, all of our lions, you [1:05:24] know, do such a tremendous amount of work to improve [1:05:27] our communities and, you know, I'm sure they will make [1:05:30] it not look, um, it will blend in. I'm not [1:05:35] concerned about the look. We had to do it for [1:05:36] the haunted trail. And if not for that, we would [1:05:39] no longer be running. So we certainly don't want to, [1:05:42] um, you know, they have the challenges if we can [1:05:45] address them, we do. So I'm in support, uh, I'd [1:05:48] like to recommend that we add to approve the request. [1:05:55] You support that as well. As a mover, I just [1:05:57] realised too on my screen, I had the old, the [1:06:00] old, uh, um, motion up there. See, I'd be happy [1:06:04] to, uh, Prethering that if possible. And I see the. [1:06:09] Awesome. Air job. Yeah. I just, I want to clarify [1:06:14] because the lot to this. So, um. Okay. So we're, [1:06:18] what you're putting in the motion is we're approving the [1:06:20] 40 foot container. Temporarily or is there a timeline or [1:06:26] is it. Forever. And there's also talking to Mr. Amanda. [1:06:32] He's probably going to say what I'm going to say. [1:06:34] We also talked to them about having two 20 foot [1:06:37] containers, which could avoid a lot of the building permit [1:06:39] stuff and all that. So I'll, I'll pause for a [1:06:42] minute if we want to go to fern. Uh, Mr. [1:06:45] Amanda, do you want to share. Thank you through chair [1:06:49] to Council. Um, so I felt it necessary to put [1:06:54] together a short memorandum so that Council considers the different [1:07:02] requirements and actions with regards to this request by the [1:07:06] lions. And it's, it's not that staff or not supportive [1:07:09] of it. Obviously we want to support our community groups. [1:07:13] I want Council to be fully aware of what they're [1:07:16] approving. Um, the 40 foot container has previously requested by [1:07:20] the Lions, um, I have been advised by our billing [1:07:25] office that it does require a building permits. The lines [1:07:29] have been made aware of that. They indicated that they're [1:07:34] more than happy to proceed through that process and obtaining [1:07:39] a building permit. There's a cost with that, of course. [1:07:43] Um, the alternative would be two 20 footers. Uh, again, [1:07:47] they have to meet setback from the existing building. The [1:07:53] one particular item I want counseled to be considerate of [1:07:57] is that this building, um, unlike the haunted trail, uh, [1:08:03] location of the rail containers, it is sort of front [1:08:06] and centre in the park. And, um, you know, rail [1:08:12] containers, yes, they can be painted. They can be cladded [1:08:15] to make it look like a building. However, Council should [1:08:19] keep in mind that they are just a temporary structure [1:08:23] realistically and Council, given that this is your park and [1:08:28] one of your main locations at the harbour should have [1:08:31] consideration of what this park. Um, looks like and is [1:08:37] used like for all users at that park for longer [1:08:41] term. And that's why we're, we're wondering if, yes, a [1:08:46] fence, um, cladding or cladding on the building can, you [1:08:52] know, sort of mask it for the time period. But [1:08:55] as Council wanting it to be there for a long [1:08:58] period of time or is it, are you going to [1:09:00] put a time period on it and have, have the [1:09:03] user groups enter into discussions with each other. And I'm, [1:09:08] I'm calling on the agricultural society, the lions, um, maybe [1:09:14] some other users down there. Enter into discussions with the [1:09:19] municipality on looking at expanding some of those existing buildings [1:09:24] that are there that are being used for storage. And [1:09:28] if that makes a more logical sense for your main [1:09:33] park at the harbour on how it looks in the [1:09:36] future. And, and if, if council is asking the lions [1:09:42] to go ahead with the container, then you want it [1:09:47] fenced as opposed to cladded. Than the fence height in [1:09:52] order to be above the container will be above our, [1:09:56] our fence by - law, which we'll also need a [1:09:59] fence variance that has to be part of the resolution. [1:10:03] Thank you. Thank you, Ms. Filana. Yeah. Thanks. That does [1:10:09] help clarify my understanding as well. I did talk to [1:10:13] the immediate past president last weekend. This is definitely temporary [1:10:17] for the club as a interim solution, but I do [1:10:20] agree. I'm on the fair board and we're ready to [1:10:23] talk about buildings as well and probably invest into one [1:10:26] building down there and maybe not all the other. So [1:10:29] I think that's a longer term solution that we do [1:10:31] need to talk about. Um, if we approve, I would [1:10:34] like to see a proving or giving the Lions the [1:10:36] option of a 40 or 220s as part of the [1:10:38] motion. Now the 220s, do they still need to go [1:10:41] through the whole engineer and all the red tape? Or [1:10:44] is that just for the 40 footer. Through chair to [1:10:53] Mayor Jubb, I'm not sure. Robin is on the call, [1:10:56] but I'm not sure that she can answer a building [1:10:59] code question. Um, I think that, uh, engineer part is [1:11:03] with respect to changing the structure of the building itself. [1:11:09] Robin's on screen. Thank you. Yeah. I would have to, [1:11:13] through the chair, I'd have to confirm with the chief [1:11:15] building official. Okay. That's fair. Um, I would just like [1:11:18] to move her in second or to add, give the [1:11:20] options of two 20s or 140. And I also want [1:11:23] to know how we can move forward with the fence [1:11:26] offence is a definite less than I did talk to [1:11:28] the club about that. How can we move forward with [1:11:30] approving the fence now to avoid more red tape more [1:11:33] time? Can this be done by Council today. Through you [1:11:40] chair to Mayor Jub, the fence, if that's Council's preference, [1:11:44] uh, part of the resolution should include a fence variance [1:11:49] approval for the height of the fence around the containers. [1:11:54] Container or container. Okay. So that's what I would recommend [1:11:57] to the mover in secondary. Everything there, two 20s or [1:12:00] a 40 and also approve the fence variance. So we're [1:12:03] not going to see this he can basically is what [1:12:05] it is. And, and for Council's awareness, there is a [1:12:08] cost to the fence variance as well. Okay. I just [1:12:15] need clarification on that. Sorry. So many times we get [1:12:18] to applications. Hey, I want to build a six foot [1:12:20] fence in my front yard. If we approve it, I [1:12:22] don't think they pay anything, do they? Through you, Chair, [1:12:26] they do. They prepare that fence variance prior to coming [1:12:30] to Council. So Council proving the height of this, um, [1:12:36] this fence that is being proposed. You will have to, [1:12:40] uh, amend, or you will have to provide offence variants [1:12:43] and there will be a cost to that. Okay. But [1:12:46] we can basically pre - approve it today. So there's [1:12:48] no more red tape. It's just the Lions would have [1:12:50] to pay and they can move because we don't have [1:12:51] a meeting to go through this. Right. So that is [1:12:53] correct. Okay. I hope the clerk's team have all that [1:12:59] written down there on the motion. That was going to [1:13:02] be my question. Uh, thank you, Mercha. Uh, Councillor Frank. [1:13:08] Yes, thank you to you. Um, that was interesting. I, [1:13:11] uh, I wasn't aware of what Fernando brought forward. But [1:13:18] I still don't think that the Lions would push back [1:13:23] too much on this. So I'm okay with that amendment [1:13:26] to the original motion. Thank you. And to our second [1:13:33] Councillor Can. Yeah, just to add, obviously this will be, [1:13:39] there'll be some communications between staff and the lions because, [1:13:43] you know, we don't know what they're storing. I'm assuming [1:13:45] it's something that they want close by to their shed [1:13:49] and thus the need for, see, can. Cause it's not [1:13:51] the best solution, but sometimes, um, it's the only solution. [1:13:56] So however, you know, I just think we'll come up [1:13:59] with a great agreement between the two of them giving, [1:14:02] um, consideration to the, to the look and feel of [1:14:06] the, uh, fairgrounds. Um, now, Firn, were you seeing there [1:14:12] was, I thought I read two about the Outback buildings [1:14:16] of the fairgrounds. Are they vacant like they're available for [1:14:20] you. Through your chair to Councillor Kemit, sorry. I'm not, [1:14:26] I'm not quite understanding the Outback building. So just for [1:14:30] Council's sake, I should have pulled up the site plan [1:14:34] for the fairgrounds. But there's a line shed that's existing. [1:14:40] Um, off to the left of the driveway where you [1:14:42] enter that, that rear portion of the fairgrounds. There's, uh, [1:14:46] what was label as the pet barn. Which was previously [1:14:50] owned by the Ag Society, but we've come to understand [1:14:53] that the lines have taken ownership of the pet barn. [1:14:58] Okay. That's what I was thinking. Nice to the pet [1:15:01] barn is the scout hall, which is owned by the, [1:15:05] uh, agricultural society. And I believe they, they understand that [1:15:11] they're using it for storage currently, but they are looking [1:15:14] at, um, longer term, maintenance to that building as it [1:15:18] needs some repairs as well. Okay. Thanks for the clarification. [1:15:26] Any other questions from Council. Councillor Panika? Thank you very [1:15:33] much. And through you. Um, I'm just very happy that [1:15:38] we're actioning this, um, report today. Um, so that the [1:15:43] lions can go ahead with their planning. And, um, I, [1:15:47] you know, I understand it is a temporary situation. And [1:15:52] I don't think a timeline, uh, needs to actually be [1:15:56] put on that because I'm sure, um, the close communication [1:15:59] in terms of, um, changing and improving the buildings that [1:16:04] they do have use of right now. So I'm just [1:16:07] glad to see because of everything they do for the [1:16:10] community that we're actioning this. Thank you. Thank you. [1:16:20] Uh, I guess we go back to chambers. And we [1:16:25] want to put the, sorry, uh, either firm or mayor [1:16:33] job. I'm just looking for the movie. There we go. [1:16:37] Mr. Lamanadia questions. Thank you. Jury just wanted to ensure [1:16:41] that, uh, merely had the resolution upon the screen so [1:16:45] that we can fully understand what council's voting on. Um, [1:16:50] one thing I think you merely for putting the fence [1:16:54] variance, one thing I have not, I don't see in [1:16:57] the resolution, but I did hear it in general discussion [1:17:02] is the timeline of this temporary structure. And, um, I [1:17:08] think, I think it should be part of this resolution. [1:17:11] Um, and I leave it up to Council to discuss [1:17:13] what that timeline is. If it's, uh, one to three [1:17:17] years, three to five years or greater than five, but [1:17:21] I think it's only fair to the lions as well [1:17:25] to, to have that understanding that Council's only approving this [1:17:29] on a temporary basis. And that, that we're inviting the [1:17:35] lines and the other users of that fair grounds to [1:17:39] sit down with the municipality to have discussions about their [1:17:42] buildings that they own. Um, and, and the future of [1:17:47] those buildings moving forward. Thank you. Thank you. Mayor Chab. [1:17:56] I would recommend that initial approved period be five years [1:17:59] and the Lions could come back to Council if they [1:18:02] need an extension on that. Thank you. Councillor Frank. Yeah. [1:18:12] Um, I tend to agree with that five years and [1:18:15] longer because I don't know how you can put a [1:18:17] timeline. Definite timeline on something like that. When they obviously [1:18:22] needed for storage. And to say, okay, uh, we only [1:18:28] have this for three years. Now we got to look [1:18:31] somewhere else, come back and all this. Um, I'm okay [1:18:34] with putting a temporary and they come back in five [1:18:40] years to see if they can, uh, either, because then [1:18:45] you got to take the fence down. You got to [1:18:46] do all kinds of work to it and all this. [1:18:48] So I agree with that. That's Steven a five years [1:18:52] and come back in five years and see where, um, [1:18:55] where they're at where they can expand and all that. [1:18:58] I just looked at the picture of that building itself. [1:19:01] I don't know where to expand that. The one storage [1:19:03] area they have now because it's pretty close to walking [1:19:05] track. And stuff like that. So I can't see putting [1:19:09] a definite stoppage timeline. So five years and then come [1:19:13] back and talk. I agree with that. Thank you. Thank [1:19:19] you. I'm good with that. Too. Okay. Perfect. Mad Treb? [1:19:23] Yeah. I just want to add to that, that if [1:19:25] a further extension is required, then it would come back [1:19:27] to Council at that time. Just so it's not a [1:19:30] five year. If the, who knows what's happening in five [1:19:33] years. Okay. I'll just wait for. [1:19:45] The strike to catch up. [1:20:05] Okay. That looks good to everybody. Oh. I will call [1:20:12] the question. All those in favor of the new Resolution. [1:20:15] Excellent. Past. That concludes all the reports. Uh, any questions [1:20:22] to township staff. Seeing none, I will pass it back [1:20:28] to you. Mr. Manja. Thank you Councillor Hodgson. That is [1:20:33] it for subcommittees. I believe. Yes. Uh, next up is [1:20:37] section 11, which is our correspondence. There's a number of [1:20:39] correspondence. So we'll start with 11. 1 looking for a [1:20:42] mover in a second or onto that. Councillor Canavan seconded [1:20:49] by Council Regional Councillor Beningal. Angela, anything is the mover. [1:20:56] Um, just for clarification, um, sorry. This is 11. 1, [1:21:01] correct? That's right. Yeah. Okay. Um, yeah, Broxy HC has [1:21:07] not been had any consultation on this to date just [1:21:11] so that Council's aware, uh, you know, we are actively [1:21:15] participating in, um, initiatives to increase mental health resources to [1:21:20] the North. Our recent funding is strictly allocated to implementation [1:21:30] plan. So it's not like we can just take on [1:21:32] requests for, um, other initiatives. But, um, glad to see [1:21:37] it will be coming to the CHC. And maybe there's [1:21:39] some way to figure out other ways to bring resources [1:21:44] here. But I'm not sure if that one specifically would [1:21:47] be something that Berkshire HC is able financially to take [1:21:52] on. Okay. Uh, to the seconder. Thank you very much. [1:21:58] And through you. I do support the recommendation that we [1:22:02] forward this to the Durham Region Police Services. I see [1:22:05] that some of the recommendations in this correspondence are beyond [1:22:09] the scope of the township. But generally to move this [1:22:12] forward, this idea of having the MCRT in Beaverton, just [1:22:21] generally moving it forward, I think it's a good idea [1:22:22] for us to forward this to the Durham Police. Thank [1:22:27] you. Yeah, for sure. There's a lot of this already [1:22:29] happening now. Of course, with our increased police presence, this [1:22:32] is all part of it, but this is getting worse [1:22:34] solidify it to get a little more pressure on there. [1:22:37] I would like to see that maybe this council endorsed [1:22:39] this after received, just that, uh, Brock Council endorse. Just [1:22:46] wondering if the mover in seconder would be okay with [1:22:47] that. I think just as far as the CHC detail, [1:22:55] um, is included. We can't speak for that part. Exactly. [1:22:59] Yeah. Yeah. We're, we're just sending it there though. Right. [1:23:01] The CHC will make their decision then. We're just referring [1:23:04] this to the CHC. And we're just supporting that basically [1:23:07] that we want to maximize regional deployment in North Durham. [1:23:11] Absolutely. That's all we're doing. Absolutely. I endorse that. Yeah. [1:23:15] There's no hog tie in any group here. We're just [1:23:17] referring it to those organisations, including the region. We're just [1:23:20] endorsing that yes, we would want to see maximizing the [1:23:23] regional deployment. That's all. Ok. Move her in secondary. We're [1:23:32] okay with that. I fully understand this EHC can't be. [1:23:36] I get it. Totally insane. Okay. Okay. Any other questions [1:23:40] comments, council. See, not all those in favor. That's carried. [1:23:46] Thank you. Okay. Next up is 11. 2, which is [1:23:49] Traffic Coming Measures again on side road 18a for Mr. [1:23:53] Collins. Um, before I, to make it easier before I [1:23:59] ask for a motion or mover and a seconder, we [1:24:01] do have bollards that we not using on Peace Street. [1:24:05] I would recommend a Council that we put in this [1:24:07] motion to use those bullards on this stretch once it's [1:24:09] redone this fall. Just throwing out there is a recommendation. [1:24:14] And I'll look for a mover. Councillor Canavan seconded by [1:24:20] Councillor Hodgson. Um, okay. So I just want also find [1:24:25] out how often the traffic common committee is meeting because [1:24:29] as we know, these last requests that just came to [1:24:31] Council are over a year old. So yeah, I don't [1:24:34] want to sit with this for a year. Yeah. That's [1:24:36] why I'm recommending. That's just to prove this now. And [1:24:39] then everything's off our plate for that committee. Oh, that [1:24:43] committee will disband for this year. Or just until further [1:24:46] requests come up. But right now this would be the [1:24:50] only additional quest that needs actioned. Yeah. I was kind [1:24:53] of hoping it would have been part of the other, [1:24:55] uh, report. Cause yeah, let's I agree. Let's action it [1:24:59] rather than have it sit there. So, um, that's certainly [1:25:05] one option. Worth trying. Okay. And we just have it. [1:25:12] Right. We don't have budget for all this, but we [1:25:13] have all these bowlers, which is a pretty perfect location [1:25:16] there. So I would just recommend take out the bottom [1:25:19] part of the motion. The Council Direct staff to refer [1:25:21] this to ad hoc committee and just add to receive [1:25:24] it and approve bullards for that location from 11 to [1:25:27] regional Road 12. Concession 11 to regional. Do they, uh, [1:25:34] stay in the wintertime. No. No. So. You might need [1:25:41] to revisit again in the winter season. Because there is, [1:25:47] there is excessive speed and there's concerns around the steep [1:25:52] hill, especially with the, um, bus, the school bus. And [1:25:57] we've had a similar complaint like this before. So. There [1:26:02] might be further consideration to do, but I think that's [1:26:04] a great interim solution, Mike. So I support that. Okay. [1:26:09] And then at least it's something for this year. And [1:26:12] then, uh, it'll probably be those butlers would probably only [1:26:15] be in for six weeks or so by the time [1:26:17] the roads were redone. But once they redo the road, [1:26:19] there's going to probably be speeding issues even further. Right. [1:26:22] So, okay. And then yeah, this could be revisited in [1:26:25] the future. The secondary, are you okay with that. I'm [1:26:29] good with that. I just have one question and it's [1:26:31] a slick question. The bullards are the down the middle. [1:26:35] Yeah. Okay. Perfect. Yeah. Used to go down to the [1:26:38] harbour and then all the lake houses. That's what I [1:26:41] thought. I just want to make sure I was clear. [1:26:42] Yep. Okay. You're good. Yeah. I'm good with that. Thank [1:26:47] you. Okay. Councillor Frank. Yeah. I echo that too. Thank [1:26:51] you, Mr. Mayor. I believe anywhere in a talented blowing [1:26:54] speed is not a bad thing. Obviously I like to [1:26:56] see a throat toe township. So whatever we can do [1:26:59] now. And then a new term. We can revisit. If [1:27:02] you have to and do whatever we got to do. [1:27:04] Thanks. For sure. Yeah. These bollards we invest a lot [1:27:07] of money and they weren't even deployed this year. So [1:27:09] let's use them where we can. Right. So. Okay. Any [1:27:12] other regional councillor peningale. Go ahead. Yes. Thanks very much. [1:27:16] And through you. I like, um, I like your suggestion [1:27:20] for now when the road is done to put the [1:27:22] ballards there. But, um, as Councillor Kenneth said, you know, [1:27:26] there have been a number of complaints along there. And [1:27:28] we do need calming traffic calming solutions for, um, for [1:27:34] the fall, you know, for the other three months, three [1:27:36] seasons of the year. So. I would suggest that, um, [1:27:43] I mean, it's not too much for the committee to [1:27:45] meet, but I would like to keep this alive. Perhaps [1:27:49] some, you know, I haven't investigated myself in terms of [1:27:54] signs. But in certain areas, you know, we even use [1:27:57] slow down signs. Uh, I'm not sure if the school [1:28:01] bus signs there, but I think we, um. I think [1:28:05] we actually have to probably look at this again with [1:28:10] the traffic calming committee, you know, just to make sure [1:28:13] we have solutions to the other three seasons. Okay. So [1:28:16] leave that in there and just add bollards to it [1:28:18] then. That's all. Okay. Okay. Great. Thanks. So move our [1:28:24] secondary. Are we good with that? Okay. Yeah. Anybody else [1:28:28] on council. Uh, to our clerks team. That's you got [1:28:32] that one. So basically the, the same motion that's on [1:28:35] there, we're just going to add the bollards for the [1:28:36] end of 26. That's all. Okay. See no more questions. [1:28:43] We'll call the question all those in favor. That's carried. [1:28:47] Thank you. All right. Next up is 11. 3 and [1:28:50] this was pulled by Regional Council Headingal from the CII. [1:28:55] I'm assuming you're going to move the motion for you. [1:28:58] Yes. Thanks very much. I'd like to move the motion. [1:29:01] But in addition to this afternoon or you're adding to [1:29:04] the motion. No, it's just like DCS in addition to [1:29:07] receiving it for information. I'd just like to clarify that [1:29:09] we are endorsing it, which would mean that the township [1:29:12] would send a letter back to the Rescue Lake Simco [1:29:16] Coalition stating our endorsement of the report. Okay. You'll need [1:29:22] a seconder for that. Councillor Canavan. Go ahead, Krioz the [1:29:27] mover. Yeah. No, that's it. That's it, Mike. Okay. And [1:29:31] second, Angela. Nothing to add things. Remember it's Council questions [1:29:37] comments. All right. Seeing none, all those in favor. Oh. [1:29:44] That's carried. Robin, go ahead. Sorry. Sorry. I was trying [1:29:48] to find my, uh, hand icon. The only thing I [1:29:50] would note is that one of the recommendations in that [1:29:52] report does have us endorsing a stop on the North [1:29:56] Land or in Peffrelloff as opposed to Beaverton. Oh, we [1:30:00] don't want that. Oh, you're right. That's a very good [1:30:02] point. We want it in Beaverton. Maybe just a clarification [1:30:05] on that. Okay. So I would recommend Regional Councillor Petting [1:30:10] Guild that when we send the endorsement that we would [1:30:12] be very clear that we are endorsing and stop in [1:30:16] Beaverton, I actually did talk to the chair of Rescue [1:30:19] Lake Simco Correlation. And he just, he said he supports [1:30:21] Beaverton as well. Cause I, I caught that a couple [1:30:23] of weeks ago. So I would add that to the [1:30:25] motion in our letter very clearly. We are supporting the [1:30:28] Beaverton stuff. Yeah. A hundred percent, a hundred percent. And [1:30:32] Ms. Prentice, thank you very much for catching that on [1:30:34] the motion. Okay. We already carried that. We passed that [1:30:40] anyway. So staff will just add that the Beaverton wording [1:30:43] on that as direction. Thank you. All right. One second. [1:30:50] Okay. That is it for correspondence. We have no notice [1:30:53] is a motion. We do have a couple of bylaws. [1:30:55] So 13 one 13 two. Mover in a seconder for [1:30:58] both. Councillor Campbell, Councillor Frank questions comments. Seeing none, all [1:31:05] those in favor. Those are carried. Okay. We now have [1:31:09] a closed session. So I will just read it out. [1:31:12] Uh, Bet Resolve the Council Proceed into a closed meeting [1:31:14] at 1126 a. m. to discuss the following matters. Information [1:31:18] trade secret scientific technical commercial or financial information that belongs [1:31:22] to the Mist Valley and has monetary value pursuant to [1:31:26] section 2392 June Liette of the Municipal. And this is [1:31:30] in regards to 14. 1. Southern Le Memorial Arena Renault [1:31:33] Project Update. So looking for a mover on that. Councillor [1:31:38] Campbell and Councillor Hodgson. And to the public, we will [1:31:42] be now going in closed session and we will be [1:31:43] back to rise and report at the appropriate time. All [1:31:47] those in favor. Why don't we take five minutes for [1:31:51] a bio break and we'll meet you on Closed on [1:31:53] teams. Thank you. That's carried by the way. [2:38:34] All right, I'll call this meeting back to order an [2:38:36] open session. Thanks for the patience, everybody. We do have [2:38:40] a recommended motion number 15, so be it Resolve the [2:38:42] Council Rise and Report from Closed Medium and Council at [2:38:46] 1233 PM, and the Council endorse all direction provided by [2:38:49] staff, or sorry, two staff at the closed meeting of [2:38:52] Council held today's date. So a mover in a seconder [2:38:55] for that, please. Councillor Frank, Councillor Campbell, questions, comments. Seeing [2:39:01] that all those in favor. That's carried, thank you. Other [2:39:06] business, any other business council. Seeing none? Perfect. Okay, Regional [2:39:14] Councillor Update, of course, there's no regional meetings until the [2:39:18] inaugural meeting in the fall, but I have requested a [2:39:21] meeting with our North Durham Police Inspector, and that's going [2:39:24] to, I think he was just calling, so that's going [2:39:26] to take place this week sometime, still seeing some problems [2:39:29] throughout Bieberton areas of Cannington that I want to ensure [2:39:31] that's being addressed and just bring some issues forward to [2:39:34] him. So if there's anything that Council wants me to [2:39:37] bring forward, just shoot me an email or give me [2:39:39] a call, and I'll bring that forward at the appropriate [2:39:42] time when I meet with him. Reach on Councillor Penningham. [2:39:45] As you say, new meetings, since we met last, thanks. [2:39:49] Okay, perfect. Thank you. Any questions to Regional Councillor Penning [2:39:54] Geller myself. Seeing none. Thanks. Okay, Public questions clarification. Do [2:40:00] we have any to the clerks team. No questions received. [2:40:05] Thank you, Merley. Next up, the confirmation by Law, looking [2:40:08] for a mover in a seconder. Councillor Canavan, Councillor Hodgson, [2:40:13] questions, comments. See, not all those in favor. That's carried. [2:40:18] Okay, the German, moving a seconder for Germans. I have [2:40:23] Regional Councillor Pettingill and Councillor Hodgston. All those in favor. [2:40:28] We are adjourned at 1235, much better than I expected. [2:40:32] Everyone have a good day and a good summer. Thank [2:40:34] you, staff. And we will be back in September to [2:40:38] finish up the term, basically. So thanks everyone. Have a [2:40:40] great day. Recording stopped.
