[3:30] fill citation. We received 10 responses at that point. The board's building subcommittee met
[3:36] and reviewed the respondents and advanced five vendors to phase two. Phase two was treated
[3:43] as an RFP and included a price evaluation. Once we received the responses from the five vendors
[3:50] that were selected to move forward, the subcommittee met again and scored the proposals with the
[3:56] architect serving as an expert consultant per procurement code.
[4:02] And after scoring the proposals R&O was selected, and the official recommendation to
[4:08] the board is to formally accept R&O as our CMGC.

[5:49] So, you know, we just, for the most part, the system is stable and general maintenance and
[5:55] updates have heard daily, you know, whether on the systems back end, back call, or at the site level,
[6:03] we have had a couple projects in place. So let's give you a quick update on those.
[6:08] Utah County, you guys have heard this time and time again that Utah County's rollout wasn't
[6:16] wasn't very smooth for them or for us, but as we reported over the last 19 months since cutover
[6:23] was complete. There have been a substantial number of changes and updates mostly to the system
[6:29] and to the sites down there. As you know, we went through a large antenna replacement project.
[6:34] We had a software system update that addressed many of the issues that we had going on.
[6:41] You know, then we've just worked daily to continue to update work on the tickets,
[6:46] perform maintenance, and look for other ways to make continuous improvement to the system.
[6:52] Specifically related to Utah County, we're working on potential changes to some of the site configurations.
[6:58] You know, a lot of, we've had a lot of feedback from the law enforcement agencies within Utah County.
[7:07] And we've definitely had some, we've spent a lot of time focusing on this county in particular.
[7:13] We've had specific visits from L3H personnel, many L3H personnel, multiple visits and then
[7:19] similar role staff as well.
[7:22] Visits have included some ride-alongs, reprogramming, retuning, radios, firmware updates, and then
[7:28] our focus has been on improving and updating the sites and altering site adjacency lists and
[7:34] looking for potential adjustments to current site locations and also site configuration.
[7:41] We will do everything we can, of course, throughout the state and continued to our commitment
[7:48] to ensure that the radio system that we have is continually improving and what everyone
[7:54] in the public safety land needs, but what we can't control the end user radios, which
[8:00] we have bound to have some problems, some tunings, some updated firmware, some end-of-life radios
[8:07] that are in need of replacement and we've also found a significant number or I would say definitely
[8:15] a trend of poor installation of the vehicles, poor antenna placement and misconfiguration of the
[8:22] insoles. But we're continuing to work with Utah County. We've had a weekly meeting with law enforcement
[8:29] through the month of July. We've now switched that to a bi-weekly meeting. This is that tomorrow
[8:35] is our first meeting of August and we'll hold those until September and or
[8:42] through September. I think tomorrow we're going to we're going to be giving
[8:47] them an update on their site configuration and announce not all some potential
[8:51] new site locations may be moving a site or two to get to some better coverage
[8:57] in that county. The ISS site, the ISS site gateway between Utah and Nevada and
[9:04] Arizona is still kind of in a holding pattern for testing.
[9:09] It will be until through September when L3H releases a new firmware version.
[9:15] In the meantime, we'll be meeting with the agencies near King County to ensure that
[9:19] they understand the project.
[9:21] And then the potential need for reprogramming on their L3H radios, depending on what version
[9:27] they have and what accessories they have.
[9:31] So we'll be having that meeting in the next couple of weeks with them.
[9:35] And then hopefully begin our testing phase in the King County area off of the pipe springs.
[9:42] Marcus then cite that is in technically in Arizona sometime mid September.
[9:49] With the fires in the state, you can imagine that we have not been free from significant concerns
[9:57] and outages at times because of power outages and just want to start off by acknowledging
[10:05] the amazing work that the firefighters are doing to save our sites. We have yet to lose
[10:11] a site. We may have some very, very pink sites from all the retardants that have been dumped
[10:16] on them, but they have done an incredible job of continuing saving our sites and helping
[10:22] us ensure that we can keep our sites online. We have had several sites in danger of loss
[10:29] due to fires over the last couple of months, Eagle Mountain, or Eagle Point, rather, and Bieber
[10:35] County. That site is currently offline intentionally because the entire ski resort was lost and in the
[10:44] fire and then significant flooding did damage to the area to the degree that no one could get back
[10:52] in for a while, so because there isn't anyone up there and there's not a need for that site
[10:57] to save on the maintenance and the flights in for our crew to go in and change the oil every seven
[11:05] days on the generator. We have worked with Bieber County and decided that we'll keep that site
[11:11] offline until, you know, there's been enough clearing and repair and that there's actually a need
[11:18] up there. The gillie site in Beaver has been at risk for loss. The Cedar Mountain
[11:24] Emory site in Miller County, Robbins Lake in Miller County is we're currently watching
[11:32] the widemouth two fire on that one. That's getting closer to our sites as of this morning.
[11:37] And then the Barnesworth Peak site in Tawila was at risk earlier this week. So we've deployed two
[11:44] of our mobile sites out to two different buyers and staged another one at the Viber County
[11:49] Sheriff's Office in a ready status for immediate deployment if needed. So it's been money
[11:57] well spent on getting those up to date and our crew has done a great job in terms of
[12:04] looking through the deployment of those with the new technology and constantly looking
[12:11] for ways that we can make improvements to ensure that the deployment of those is smoother
[12:16] and quicker. The last bullet point on the screen, the motor roller radio management project,
[12:23] this has been going very, very well. As of last Friday, we've built a total of 31 boxes,
[12:29] 21 per cell, and 10 loaner boxes. We used Wasatch County as our test site and as always,
[12:38] they've been fantastic to work with. They have had 256 radios read into the system. If you recall,
[12:45] the first time a radio is introduced into the system, into the radio management system,
[12:49] it has to be read in. That takes just a couple of seconds per radio, so it's a quick plug-in.
[12:54] The system acknowledges the radio, basically reads it, takes down the serial number, the radio ID,
[13:01] the code plug information, the flash code version, the firmware version, and all of that. So within
[13:06] In a couple of days, Wasatch County was able to read in 256 radios.
[13:12] It was very quick, it went very smoothly.
[13:14] We've got, you know, positive feedback from them.
[13:18] And so now we're able to know that we've got them at their radios in and categorized in the system.
[13:26] We can now begin to push updates whether that's firmware or alias or new code plugs to those radios.
[13:32] On Monday, we will be heading to Utah County to meet with several law enforcement agencies
[13:37] to deliver boxes and complete training there.
[13:40] As I mentioned previously, this is a game changer for motor roller radio users.
[13:44] And for us in terms of the time, it will save us in programming hours and for the agencies
[13:51] in terms of the overtime that they would have to spend in bringing the radios in at a certain
[13:57] period of time. Also having someone in their office be assigned to update firmware and things
[14:04] like that. They just are not going to have to have that that person spending hours and hours
[14:11] and hours doing that. They can just have the officers plug their radios into these boxes and
[14:16] it will push those updates for them. And so this is going to be amazing for those users.
[14:23] There's also the ability for us to track radios, buying duplicate IDs, validate co-plugs,
[14:31] and notice agencies when we have a firmware update recommendation and things like that.
[14:38] And so, it's a big deal.
[14:41] We're really excited about it.
[14:42] We've had a lot of agencies on reach out, a lot of agencies purchasing radios, or excuse
[14:48] me, purchasing the boxes.
[14:49] I think that we're deploying some in a clear field.
[14:55] We've had some other agencies in Salt Lake County purchase boxes.
[15:00] In Murray, but we've had a lot of response. We haven't put out it out like a newsletter out to the masses, but we will be doing that shortly. Now that we've got a lot of boxes that we've got the parts in and we're kind of underway and have done our test, our test agency. So it's been a huge success. And appreciate the work that's been going into that.

[16:10] I will say that we have seen some really, really aggressive roaming issues on some of their

[16:17] We were able to replicate that on just one of our motor roller radios.
[16:22] the L3 traders are not doing that, we did finally find a radio that we own that did do
[16:27] for Kate that that manic roaming behavior on Monday. And so we've been working with
[16:33] the Motorola engineers trying to determine what settings or that we can change in the
[16:42] base of the radio settings, not necessarily in the code plug, but in the core elements of
[16:47] radio to make that. I do think that there is an element that is related to their
[16:53] radios and I do think there's an element that's related to their to their
[17:00] vehicle and so and their antenna placements and things like that. We've had
[17:04] conversations. I've had a lot of conversations with chiefs the sheriff also had
[17:09] a lot of conversations with line level officers who are writing round and we have
[17:13] had positive feedback from some of them, some of those who we've written along with, I personally
[17:21] went out on a ride along, and for three hours with one of the agencies and did get some positive
[17:30] feedback, and their arcing improvements and things like that. I do know that there are agencies
[17:37] down there that have been really aggressive about tuning their radios, buying the antennas, but
[17:43] they need to buy for their portables and things like that, and so I think those agencies
[17:47] will see greater improvements, but yes, I think that the bottom line is that there are
[17:55] some radio issues, and I think though we can still improve some of the situation down
[18:02] there with some different site placement and maybe changing multiple sites into a single
[18:09] that we'll have with some of that kind of turn it back into a little bit
[18:14] similar configuration before the on the old system.

[18:29] we great news, our Tucker site in Utah County,
[18:32] up in Spanish for Canyon is online as of last Friday.
[18:35] this has been a big deal. It's taken us years to get on. You guys remember we
[18:40] had an agreement and then we got voted against by the HOA down there and
[18:47] anyway, went a different route and we're able to get the site online. This site
[18:51] bridges the gap in the canyon and provides new coverage into carbon
[18:55] county as well over through the school filled reservoir area. I know carbon
[18:59] county is very excited about the additional coverage they just got as well. The
[19:04] The Blue Mountain site, Geyser Peak, Canada, and Parker sites, Parker Mountain are all well
[19:11] underway and making good progress.
[19:14] We have not been able to finalize a location on the Birch Creek Montecristo site.
[19:20] We pinpointed, we've found some BLN land, but that was a no because of a specific species
[19:31] the bird up there and we could not guarantee that we would not accidentally kill a bird and so
[19:36] we are looking at some private land and we're going to meet with the land owners
[19:39] I think in the next week and the Navajo mountain we're making progress there Arizona DPS is
[19:46] finishing their site their site should be installed or completed by the end of this month and
[19:52] some installation of their gear next month. Phil and I met with them last Thursday and are meeting with
[19:58] them again in the next, within the next sevenish days, seven to 14 days to talk about what
[20:03] it would be for us to be, to have to co-locate, I guess, I should say, on their site.
[20:13] So there's, that would be really huge if we could get on level home mountain. It's a site
[20:17] that we wanted to get on for a long time. And it would mean a great deal to San Juan County
[20:22] and also King County. That would provide a substantial amount of coverage. If you remember,
[20:27] we've built our Navajo Clinic site because we weren't sure we were ever going to get on the Navajo
[20:33] Mountain site but we built all of that the building and that on skid so we can relocate it if we
[20:39] are able to get into an agreement with Arizona DPS and get on Navajo Mountain we would move our Navajo
[20:45] Clinic site from the clinic to the Mountain site and improve our coverage down there. This is just
[20:53] a picture of our Parker site. As you can see they just completed the tower work and this
[20:59] was as of early this last week. And then we have our BDA DAS Microstight project still going.
[21:06] We just ordered about five of these units. As you know we've completed our American Fort DAS.
[21:12] There's a possibility we might add one more box up in that canyon. We're still looking at that.
[21:17] I think that's probably going to be the way we go, but we are just waiting to receive
[21:23] the next set of gear and then we'll be prioritizing the sites on this list and others that we've
[21:31] added that I have yet to add on here that we haven't confirmed yet. But this is exciting again
[21:35] because of how inexpensive it is to complete these sites versus kicking up an entire site.
[21:44] UDOT's been amazing to work with and Utah County has been great to work with and utilizing their
[21:49] fiber up American Fort Canyon. So, good partnerships with other public safety entities to make these

[34:23] Anyway, I just thought we ought to mention that because boy, right now, they're using our equipment like crazy.
[34:35] Well, I'm glad you brought that up too because as I think about this, what's happening now, it takes me back to my past.
[34:41] and think about all the people that are in harm's way right now trying to fight
[34:46] these fires and manage the situations. So we should be very mindful of those
[34:52] people that are out there on the front lines and very very difficult circumstances.
[34:58] Ben I see we lost a couple pilots on that helicopter last week. Yeah this is tough.
