[0:00] will proceed we have one new [0:03] one item on our agenda this afternoon under new [0:06] business and it's an ordinance on second reading [0:09] approving and authorizing the purchase of real property located at 4705 [0:14] 8th avenue vienna wood county west virginia [0:17] uh mr skogstad would you like to read the ordinance [0:22] i've got a copy okay uh an ordinance approving and [0:25] authorizing the purchase real property located at 4705 8th avenue vienna wood [0:29] county west virginia be ordained by the vienna utility board for the authority [0:33] granted it is a political subdivision of the state of west virginia in the city [0:36] of vienna as for west virginia code chapter 8113-3 [0:40] paragraph six mayor his agents or signs is directed [0:44] and authorized take all steps as a reasonably necessary to purchase parcel [0:47] real property residents and fixtures located at 4705 8th avenue vienna wood [0:52] county west virginia for the total purchase price of 250 000. [0:58] prior to making such purchase the utility board shall perform its due [1:01] diligence uh and it should say the vienna utility board shall if necessary [1:05] pay in addition to the after said purchase price normal and customary [1:08] closing costs assessed to a purchase of real estate [1:11] title said real estate shall be taking the name of the vienna utility board [1:14] this purchases for the public purpose of improving future storm water management [1:18] and storm water infrastructure improvements [1:21] i'll entertain emotional and second reading of the ordinance approving and [1:25] authorizing the purchase of real property located at 4705 8th avenue [1:29] vienna wood county west virginia [1:34] second it's been moved and segmented that we approved the ordinance on second [1:36] reading is there any further discussion hearing none then i'll call for the [1:42] question all those in favor of the ordinance on second reading please [1:45] signify by raising your right hand all those opposed motion carries [1:50] unanimously um [1:54] thank you all for your indulgence in this i think that when we get the [1:58] new retention system in place that it will survive it will solve a lot of [2:02] issues that we've been dealing with for a long time [2:05] and so hopefully we'll get to that very quickly [2:09] at the last meeting i made mention that we would try to [2:13] reach out to the gov deals people that we've sold all the other equipment with [2:18] and we have received an answer back from them [2:21] they will do it and they're actually enthusiastic about it [2:25] and so we're going to come back [2:29] for authorization to sell the house and then at some point it will be [2:33] auctioned off and someone will come in and take whatever they want if it sells [2:38] okay uh it's interesting this you can buy [2:41] anything anything [2:44] from gov deals [2:47] i saw a tv show you know people like that thought i [2:50] was watching the television show where a company has a business [2:54] that they take the house and instead of taking an existing house instead of [2:59] doing a regular edition they buy something like this they essentially [3:04] mix it to the new house expand yeah i don't remember what [3:09] i don't remember what city it is but some city near us sold their police [3:13] station in the same fashion so at any rate [3:17] we'll see where that goes but i'll be back [3:19] with more information and what have you there is no cost to us whatsoever [3:24] whoever buys the property [3:27] pays them a fee and that's how they make their money [3:31] but we've used them several times and it's a very very good system very good [3:35] system well probably because the utility board [3:38] is separate apart from the city we in order to take advantage of [3:43] we will probably have [3:59] all right any utility board comments today [4:02] all right well with that meeting adjourned enjoy your weekend [4:07] okay [4:12] well it took too long i'm sorry i'll try to speak it's russ's fault i [4:16] knew i shouldn't have asked him to read that thing [4:27] i'm sure bruce can help you with
