[19:35] looking forward to this three-year

[19:36] engagement with the city and other

[19:37] organizations throughout the community

[19:39] to address food security

[19:41] these projects come from what we have

[19:43] learned through the covid-19 pandemic

[19:45] response and aim to make food access

[19:47] closer to areas in need and more

[19:49] reliable this looks like sustaining the

[19:52] mobile meals at the pantries and also

[19:55] depend deepening the community-based

[19:58] model of urban farming these projects

[20:00] will impact eight City neighborhoods and

[20:03] will encourage continual collaboration

[20:04] for food access and overall well-being

[20:06] of hundreds of families in Schenectady

[20:44] Road situations the first one is Union

[20:47] Avenue

[20:48] from Wonderland Avenue right down to

[20:50] Lenox Road the curbing is no longer

[20:54] functional and since it from Lindell

[20:57] Avenue down to Lenox Road it's downhill

[21:00] when it rains

[21:03] dirt next to the road has been eroded

[21:06] which stabilizes the curbing the road

[21:10] and now the road is destabilized

[21:13] breaking away

[21:15] and one section

[21:18] um right at the Park Place intersection

[21:20] the north side

[21:22] there's actually a hole in the road

[21:26] it would be the hole then the Curbing

[21:30] and there's actually I think electrical

[21:32] box there and it's about four to five

[21:36] inches deep

[21:38] so I asked the council to approve

[21:41] funding

[21:42] so the road doesn't

[21:43] cause a accident

[21:46] that curbing will be put in there from

[21:49] one Del Avenue down to Lenox Road

[21:52] I mean from Wendell Avenue down to

[21:54] Minick Road and Union Avenue

[21:57] also

[21:59] um

[22:00] on that street

[22:03] um they did the intersection which is

[22:05] very nice

[22:07] by Ellis Hospital but it should be

[22:10] extended up

[22:11] there's sections where you have concrete

[22:14] curbing that's all busted away

[22:16] and you're only going to end up with the

[22:18] same situation that you end up on Union

[22:20] Avenue

[22:22] and also you also could look as a safety

[22:25] Factor because you have school kids

[22:27] going to a night of school you should

[22:30] have at least

[22:31] something

[22:33] a little safety there

[22:35] and you don't have to replace it all

[22:38] there's certain sections that already

[22:40] have

[22:42] Granite curving just the sections that

[22:45] are the busted up concrete you don't

[22:46] have to rip up everything

[22:48] and then afterwards just pave it all the

[22:51] way up to the

[22:53] School

[22:55] that's all I have to say it's quiet

[23:57] difficult today to sit through the

[23:59] meeting even though I know that you know

[24:00] it's a quiet meeting

[24:01] um it was kind of difficult because I

[24:03] did it uh fill my mind wandering

[24:06] thinking about

[24:07] um the people of Nashville

[24:11] um in the lives that were lost today

[24:14] um in another uh school shooting

[24:18] um it was hours after that that um we

[24:21] got a call that there was a possible

[24:24] active shooter thank God it wasn't the

[24:27] situation and Albany mad with um some of

[24:30] my friends and family happened to be in

[24:32] the building at that time so really just

[24:34] drove it home

[24:35] um and I would just say that I'm sure

[24:37] that my fellow council members joined me

[24:39] in extending our thoughts and prayers to

[24:42] the families impacted

[24:44] um but I would definitely just say that

[24:46] if our thoughts and prayers are all that

[24:48] we can offer at this point it's really

[24:50] not enough

[24:52] I think that this requires some level of

[24:55] action here in our own Community I don't

[24:58] think that we can just offer thoughts

[25:01] and prayers in a way that will allow us

[25:04] to kind of

[25:06] experience

[25:09] that pain with the families and separate

[25:13] ourselves from the solutions that need

[25:15] to happen I would just really think that

[25:17] this is an opportunity for us

[25:19] to really look at our own

[25:22] um

[25:23] mental health of our community I think

[25:27] that you know I would

[25:29] suggesting that we put together a town

[25:32] hall event where we can hear from people

[25:37] um who are impacted with mental health

[25:39] issues and mental hygiene issues and

[25:42] load up a room with you know service

[25:44] providers and we can talk about the gaps

[25:47] to kind of fill in those gaps or where

[25:49] gaps of service and accessibility to

[25:51] Services exists again this is something

[25:55] that I don't think should be political

[25:58] but today everything's political I think

[26:01] that sensible gun laws are part of the

[26:03] issue but that's not even what I'm

[26:05] talking about now what I'm saying now is

[26:07] something that hopefully everyone and I

[26:10] mean everyone can join in and support to

[26:12] really take a a inventory of what

[26:16] services are available and really get a

[26:19] feel of what's happening in our own

[26:21] Community because though we haven't had

[26:23] a tragedy like that happen here we have

[26:26] experienced some very recent tragedies

[26:28] and um we need to really make sure that

[26:31] we are creating the conditions where

[26:33] those things are less likely to occur I

[26:35] feel like that is our one of our

[26:37] strongest obligations and and this is

[26:39] just another compelling reason as a city

[26:42] that we get involved I know that there's

[26:44] things

[26:45] um available in a private sector and

[26:48] even our County but I think that we

[26:49] really need to host something where we

[26:52] can be welcoming partners and really

[26:55] come up with some of the solutions to

[26:56] make our community safer in that way so

[26:58] I just want to put that out there this

[27:01] is not a call to action this is a screen

[27:03] to action I think we can um imagine what

[27:06] those families and those communities

[27:09] that were most impacted are going

[27:10] through because we all should be

[27:12] impacted by what happened today thank

[27:23] Schenectady firefighters Cancer

[27:25] Foundation held a 5K race and council

[27:30] member datura myself the mayor were

[27:32] there cheering on the participants and

[27:36] just wanted to congratulate them on a

[27:38] great turnout

[27:40] um for the for the event and I thank

[27:43] them for the work that they do on that

[27:46] cause that's all I have today

[28:48] for uh Mr Jim Wilson James Wilson who

[28:51] was a veteran who passed away it was

[28:53] honor the uh he had there was an honor

[28:55] of veteran service on Saturday that

[29:03] were present and for those of you that

[29:05] didn't know Jim Wilson he was really a

[29:09] um a jewel to our community so we were

[29:12] pleased to be able to say some words and

[29:18] family so
