[0:00] Okay, I would like to welcome all the people up there, to make me watch a nice, I got a picture of recreation committee meeting.
[0:10] We would like to take a roll call.
[0:17] that's the first thing we do to make sure we have a number of members of available and the
[0:24] will call is Amy, Amy, Amy Ford's, yeah, the will call.
[0:33] Yeah, I wasn't sure.
[0:36] And block protein.
[0:37] Five people here.
[0:39] The sixth person is Linda Collins.
[0:41] She's unavailable today.
[0:43] And yesterday, the town forwarded two additional members to become part of our committee.
[0:51] One is going to be a full-time member, and that that person is going to be a fellow named Bill Morethan.
[0:58] And he lives here and got with on Len App.
[1:02] And then the other person is a Beth Kosek.
[1:05] And that is going to be an alternate and should be working with us on a lot of the events.
[1:14] So we welcome them to our committee and hopefully there will be a chance to have attending in August.
[1:23] At this time, I would like to, since we have a forum, I would like to review and approve the minutes for the June 14th, 2023 meeting.
[1:32] and it didn't be any questions on those minutes.
[1:37] Any any questions?
[1:38] No.
[1:39] No.
[1:40] All right.
[1:40] Make a motion.
[1:41] A motion for a period of surgeon.
[1:44] All in favour?
[1:45] In favour?
[1:46] Hi.
[1:47] So it was a five-zero program,
[1:52] okay?
[1:53] Yes.
[1:59] It was nice to be.
[2:01] You're weak.
[2:02] Okay.
[2:06] Okay.
[2:06] Good morning.
[2:09] Good morning.
[2:21] Good morning.
[2:22] And it's not here today, so we're going to move on.
[2:28] I think the next question we had is,
[2:29] Aquamanicus Park, you know,
[2:31] Futures status.
[2:33] This past week, as you're chairperson,
[2:36] they've now come to me the old point,
[2:39] and they asked me some of the questions on the color
[2:43] of different various things when they make the,
[2:46] and they put the task course and the pick of all course
[2:49] down to the Aquamanicus Park,
[2:51] They were one of the kind of colors we would want on those course.
[2:55] So I kind of work with them.
[2:58] And I know there's a special blue color.
[3:00] That's natural for tennis.
[3:02] And I know that's a color that they currently have.
[3:05] I gave that number that color.
[3:07] And for the pickable people, they were interested in a double color.
[3:12] Like a doctoral for the back.
[3:15] And for the area of this color, the kitchen up near.
[3:18] Like more than likeable, which would be a show with difference
[3:21] of where they are on the court
[3:22] because that kitchen isn't important here,
[3:25] you're not to go into it, but they're predictable.
[3:28] So I sent that information back to them, they have it.
[3:32] And then I'm hoping that next meeting,
[3:36] we'll have some type of concepts to look at
[3:39] and to be able to develop where we go from there.
[3:43] Does anybody have any questions on that?
[3:48] Okay,
[3:53] I get a budget actual numbers. All right, budget actual numbers for the 2020, 2022, 2023
[4:00] year that we just completed out budget of $16,000 was completely expanded. We use up every penny
[4:09] that that's $16,000 and then our enterprise account is approximately $12,800 in that account.
[4:19] All right, I think of that, you may be money, there's probably about maybe $2,200 that
[4:25] may be eventually being paid out to Oak Point to finish up that contract with them.
[4:32] So we probably have a net of a little bit over $10,000 in the enterprise account, which
[4:41] we call the planus, but it's really an enterprise account.
[4:44] So that's something that we don't have to look at over the next couple of years or anything that's a major
[4:51] App was a major project that we can utilize that those funds for that project
[4:57] Any questions on that?
[4:59] Yeah, any questions anybody
[5:04] All right
[5:06] The same castle event recap. I was hoping that we would have lived it today and
[5:11] And she did a great job leaving that program yesterday.
[5:18] And there's anybody who had the jump plate to jump in and say a couple of things about it,
[5:22] because we're all with there.
[5:23] All seven members of our committee were physically there once on Sunday to support the K-more
[5:31] and Linda Collins on a wonderful job that they did.
[5:35] I thought they did an outstanding job.
[5:37] And I thought, in participation was much better than I expected,
[5:41] considering the day that we had the people, everyone's
[5:46] seem to be having a great time.
[5:48] I think we had 30 participants.
[5:50] There was, like, a little bit over there, but bit 30.
[5:53] Yeah.
[5:53] And I think I set a note to that metric.
[5:58] And I told them there was about the cross between 35
[6:00] interests.
[6:01] And there was about one over 100 people.
[6:04] Because most of the interests went just single people.
[6:06] there were families with five to six people.
[6:09] Oh, it was, it was, it was, it was well done.
[6:13] And I, everybody thank us, you know,
[6:16] it was just there.
[6:17] All the people that would guess attendees,
[6:20] people that would visit the area, people that live here,
[6:23] they just couldn't go over how well the event went that day.
[6:26] And I think the, by having the Sebastian,
[6:31] who was the right, like a,
[6:33] I did a beautiful job that day on designing things, being available for people to ask questions and to interpret what he's doing and I think it was a real pleasure of effect.
[6:49] Yeah, what do you think, Neil, yourself?
[6:51] I thought it was a great event.
[6:53] I thought it was great, considering the weather and it was foggy.
[6:57] Um, I think it was a great turnout.
[6:59] We had a family that came, they saw us on Facebook.
[7:03] We came all the way down from coming one hour and so that they just
[7:05] built and they won two of the events.
[7:09] It was, it was a great event.
[7:11] I really enjoyed it.
[7:13] I think a lot of those are, uh, participants.
[7:16] If these go, it was enjoyed it too.
[7:18] Yeah, it's a good time.
[7:20] Yeah.
[7:21] There were a lot of people there just to see the castles, too.
[7:23] There wasn't that much to do that day because of the weather.
[7:26] I thought there was a lot more people just observing everything.
[7:30] And they were really spaced out beautifully so people to walk around and just enjoy the various, you know, the kids, castles, you know, their designs, some of the adults were pretty impressive.
[7:47] And the families, you see all the families, six to seven people all helped me tell them well, and just working as a team.
[7:55] Was it was a positive experience for all of us being at the end of the day? All seven of us were very
[8:01] very thrilled that people just enjoyed themselves so much. It was a nice, nice day, everybody
[8:08] Yeah, maybe it was down. It's already been special.
[8:12] No, I was just going to say I know there was over a hundred. Although there was 35
[8:17] entrance was over a hundred people who participated just because it was groups and families, etc. I'm dying I
[8:26] Linda told me that on Monday, I think, when I saw her, so I think that's excellent.
[8:31] And I thought, overall considering the weather, it was a great amount of participants.
[8:36] And actually the weather might have worked in that favor, because people could stay at longer because it was no sun.
[8:43] I did have a couple of comments why we did it in July, sort of, September.
[8:48] And I basically told them that it was really based on the types, you know,
[8:55] And some people asked us if we would do it again this year and it wasn't really sure if we would have killed us.
[9:03] You mean, joining in like, where did we get?
[9:06] I think we have things planned in September.
[9:11] There's going to be quite a large problem.
[9:14] We're going to talk about the few minutes to play there.
[9:18] So, and then I was going to talk about a few minutes.
[9:22] about what's going on with music. We have a lot of programs going on right now,
[9:30] and we'll talk
[9:31] about that few minutes. I just basically the wrap up. You have anything to say about the music.
[9:37] say casserole and all that.
[9:40] I was really, really, really, really thankful.
[9:44] So I'll picture on the second one.
[9:46] There.
[9:47] And no, my life enjoyed it.
[9:49] Yeah.
[9:50] Yeah.
[9:50] There you guys really enjoyed it.
[9:52] I think it's a good people.
[9:54] And talent.
[9:56] I think having it in July,
[9:57] we had more helped with participants.
[10:00] Because the only trouble with Labor Day weekend
[10:02] is a lot of the kids have gone back to school.
[10:05] You know, they've gone back home.
[10:07] You know, people do come up. It's a holiday, but I think a lot of them go back, I think we had more, but didn't we have more entries than ever?
[10:19] And that's a good action.
[10:21] Yeah.
[10:22] I think that's part of why they moved in.
[10:24] Yeah. The weekly sent it over for the nice side of going in the front page about the St. Castle contest.
[10:30] And I want to thank you.
[10:32] but the Roe Republic, Roe Republic, Roe Republic,
[10:34] Roe Republic, what the government, for a
[10:36] and the lawist to use defed is to bring it
[10:39] to make it attractive for people to recognize that
[10:41] we're physically there and the location.
[10:44] And it just brings people all the to that location,
[10:47] and that was very nice of the Roe Republic
[10:49] to be able to help us out of that.
[10:52] So, I'm sure that's all.
[10:54] So, I've been building the rear down.
[10:57] The next thing on the agenda is music and the park,
[11:00] And we, that's not it. I'm free. You just bring us up to speed and what you think I'm going to call this.
[11:08] It's a lot of depending upon the weather.
[11:10] We're doing great.
[11:13] We pulled it off great Sunday night.
[11:15] Yeah.
[11:16] I was going to be dead great.
[11:18] But it was great.
[11:20] Well, Chris, I'm free.
[11:22] Ben, we've gotten a full orchestra this year.
[11:26] And he's always great.
[11:28] in a little different style of music, very, very, very, really like it, very like all the things of the
[11:36] code. I heard the code has happened to Compton. Meco was a big hit. Meco was coming to Sunday and
[11:43] part of your whole group, right about it. That's amazing. They sent chance for you. And they're listening to that.
[11:50] So I'm just going to speak to women and talk to act out, but yeah, we're doing great and
[12:02] you're so far and you're majoring in jumps is always a little bit. So I just wonder about the science
[12:15] I'm putting up,
[12:19] I don't really know if they're really effective, because most people
[12:23] get, you know, our local people, you know, some tourists, you know, putting up a lot of
[12:31] signs.
[12:33] And I just think we should be getting more people from the signs. But I just don't think,
[12:40] So we're getting, we're in my office on Facebook and we'll bring up the postures in the hotels a little bit, but I haven't heard too much about the sign. So I just, yeah, I think we don't know where to have to think about it now. I just want to go and so I'm just, I'm talking about the directional signs. Yeah.
[13:10] So I write, um, anyway, I just, I've just been thinking about that maybe you can brainstorm on that
[13:18] on the day. You know, Neil, I talked to John Brinkow from the pottery shop,
[13:24] Karen, at the end of the morning. I don't know how it came up. Somehow we were talking about,
[13:29] I think it was Vaughan Air or something and like a Google map to tell people how to get to the
[13:34] craft show if they had it in a park and everything. And then he thought of the music and he was telling
[13:39] me. He thought he's got some mapping feature with Google where he can make a map and people,
[13:45] you can put it on Facebook and somehow they can click on it, you'll walk from directions to it
[13:50] from them from the map or something. He was going to see he asked me to, to say, it's worth the
[13:55] tried. He's good together. Say you put it together for us. I can send in the info, maybe he can put it
[14:02] together and you can see if it works, maybe it would be helpful to people to picture where it is,
[14:08] Yeah, we somewhere do that on music and the parking curve on just not sure, like maybe we put that in the post for the individual lasts, right? So you want to see music in the park and music in the cove that particular day.
[14:23] Here's how to get here, right?
[14:25] Yeah.
[14:26] That's a good idea.
[14:27] Yeah, versus they're not going to go to the main website. You have to, it's sort of on the front page, but
[14:32] Maybe we'll start included in every post.
[14:35] I'll see when he can come up with. I'll ask him to do the office. Yeah, it's just Google Maps, right? It's a geolocation.
[14:42] You just click on it. Yeah. I don't know. He was talking about creating some kind of a small map.
[14:50] I don't know about it. But yeah, we have it up on the mean. We have it up on the mean website.
[14:57] We can do the same for all the posts. I think that's a great idea.
[15:01] Okay. Yeah, so a lot of people don't know where the park is, right?
[15:06] They don't. They don't. They don't. And the, and the virtual sites, we do help that. But maybe we can play on something else next year.
[15:15] That wants to.
[15:16] I think for the cold.
[15:18] Okay. Okay.
[15:19] We might be held any puts the sign out in front of the rotary car.
[15:22] Right.
[15:22] That you could, you can write on.
[15:24] I can't write.
[15:25] I have two, but you can't write on the many more because
[15:29] We have double-sided tapes, the plain air information on them, but if we made, you know, two signs I and like you have, you know, just have them do some graphics, they can't cost that much.
[15:44] And just put music in the cold tonight, six to eight with an arrow straight ahead. I can put it out in front of my house.
[15:50] I mean, everybody walks by, drives by,
[15:52] would see that it's tonight from 60.
[15:54] I could put it out on Wednesdays
[15:55] and put it out on Fridays.
[15:57] Now I'll put it out on Saturdays, you know?
[16:00] If you want, it's worth a try.
[16:02] Yeah, I'm not sure.
[16:03] I just meant to like this, you know.
[16:05] I mean, I have some things,
[16:07] I mean, not for the cold month,
[16:08] but, you know, I have some things to tell you
[16:10] how to get there and tell you the time.
[16:14] So, you know, I'm putting that all the time,
[16:17] so I just,
[16:18] Yeah, good ideas like that, let's just, it's a lot of people looking to, oh, come back tonight, you know.
[16:26] So anyway, that music in the park, you know, seems like everybody's happy, so.
[16:34] I personally, I saw all three events last week, but music, and all three of them were excellent.
[16:40] But they wanted the unsundated, it was this crisp comforts, right?
[16:46] Some free.
[16:48] And he, it's, it's a big band sound, it's going back to the 40s and the 50s, when
[16:53] Big Band was the popular thing, and he had a 14 piece band there.
[16:58] This was, it's right there, and it was approximately 100 people there, and they enjoyed
[17:03] every bit of it.
[17:04] I was an out of just great music and I wrote, and I think most of the people there were probably
[17:12] residents of our own community.
[17:15] On Sunday night, that's usually, that's what I mean.
[17:18] It's a script that when the residents are taking participating, you can be, and as the weather gets better.
[17:24] And obviously, the weather was the best on Sunday.
[17:28] It's a big project.
[17:29] The project will get larger.
[17:33] I don't know.
[17:34] So on that we can come down to next.
[17:36] We'll go all the way back.
[17:38] Right away.
[17:41] Glad we're having a weekend.
[17:43] And all of our families have been working.
[17:44] I could just give the audience a thank you to you.
[17:47] Our families have been blessed to be here.
[17:50] So people could vote for you.
[17:52] So I know.
[17:53] I know that well.
[17:55] So in there on the, if you have a little smile.
[17:58] And the opportunity to do something to make sure.
[18:02] And to go to your home.
[18:09] No, but there's something going on in the background. It's a Neil. Are you having a two,
[18:15] some back. Yeah, it's not my first to hear not being there. I don't know if someone's talking in there.
[18:22] down there yeah okay that's a powerful mic picking it up all the way back
[18:51] Yeah, I and I owe you a phone call. So I just been slammed at work out. Well, we can
[18:56] chat. Yeah, bring some. Yeah, it's not a media thing. We'll do everything we have now. So,
[19:05] just just trying to figure out, you know, how are people hearing about this? So I don't
[19:14] I think the mobile can socialize it, right?
[19:17] So you see it up on Paxon Rack, just share it personally
[19:21] on your Facebook page, right?
[19:22] So all your family and friends,
[19:24] because I know I have some friends that came,
[19:26] they didn't even know it was in the park.
[19:27] They were up here just for the day.
[19:30] So at the mobile, we socialize it.
[19:32] The more organic it will become,
[19:34] and we don't have to spend any money, which is good.
[19:37] Right, right, right.
[19:40] All right, there's, there's, there's a,
[19:43] oh, there's a, there's a, there's a, there's a.
[19:44] Yeah, I'll just say maybe we can, you know, do a informal poll as we walk around.
[19:49] Hey, how did you hear about music in the park, right?
[19:51] I sort of did that for the Sancastle.
[19:54] I mean, we got some data as far as, you know, where people were hearing about the Sancastle,
[19:58] but, you know, good, good point here, good point.
[20:01] Yeah. Yeah. All right. The next thing on the, uh, on the agenda is the playing the air
[20:08] and where are we with that Jen and Amy?
[20:12] Well, you know, September 9th, it's sold out.
[20:16] I've got a waiting list of, um,
[20:20] we've taken over, we've taken 10% over the amount,
[20:23] because we usually lose about 10%.
[20:26] We've taken about 115, and I have a waiting list of about seven people right now.
[20:33] So, very, a lot of people wanting to participate, you know, we've got the music lined up for two jazz bands, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, we had to flip them because the one that played in the afternoon can only play in the morning, so, but everyone liked them last year.
[20:50] Okay. We're not going to do as much music as we did before spread out.
[20:55] because I don't think we got enough bang for a buck out of it, but I only want to try to keep the
[21:01] budget down. But overall we're coming right along, getting our graphics together and
[21:09] going to use some of our signage over from last year, which we tried to do some of it, so we wouldn't
[21:13] have to buy it again, but we're getting out. So there's about 15 people signed up and seven on the list
[21:21] As seven back.
[21:22] That's it.
[21:28] All right.
[21:28] And the vet is going to be on September 9th.
[21:31] September 9th.
[21:32] From 9 to 5.
[21:33] I'm the five.
[21:33] It's going to be spread out.
[21:35] We are.
[21:37] They can paint throughout the town.
[21:39] Yes.
[21:40] Yep.
[21:40] They can paint wherever they want.
[21:43] It seemed like we.
[21:45] I can do it again this year.
[21:47] But last year, we went.
[21:48] We jumped through a lot of hoops to leave.
[21:50] Spots at the footbridge and spots at the beach.
[21:53] Right.
[21:53] I'm not sure not many people went, you know, and it, I know it's a lot of work for the parking, the visitor services folks. I do, I do think we need
[22:09] Probably Stacey by budgeted it to, it's difficult if they park some place and then they have to come down to the code with their paintings, right, because now they've got, they, now they have to park again
[22:20] this is what it's all about.
[22:21] It's all about it.
[22:24] It sounds great, but it's difficult because they have to park, now they park once, now they
[22:28] have to park again.
[22:30] We have to have more people to shuttle. It really becomes complicated.
[22:35] And of these 150 signs, how many of the professionals and versus that?
[22:40] I don't have it with me. It's about 72.
[22:43] I'm sorry, it's about 68% professional.
[22:46] Okay. And 32%.
[22:48] It was 73% professional.
[22:49] Roughly 70.
[22:50] Okay.
[22:51] And then we're going to have to start at the same master's ceremony.
[22:54] So that's last year.
[22:55] We are.
[22:56] Bob Whitelaw.
[22:57] Bob Whitelaw.
[22:58] So what about did a great job last year?
[23:01] He did.
[23:02] He did.
[23:03] We kind of last saw them again.
[23:04] They're come back and do a good job.
[23:06] I think he's looking forward to it.
[23:08] Yeah, he did a great job.
[23:09] Yeah, he did a great job.
[23:09] He did a great job.
[23:11] So I think we're coming.
[23:12] Yeah, we're coming right along.
[23:14] So for people up there that are listening or
[23:17] the information is up.
[23:18] It's going to be on our website,
[23:20] but also September 9.
[23:22] just keep that data in your account.
[23:25] There's going to be a great day for all the time.
[23:27] Yep, the website have all the information.
[23:30] Schedule of events isn't out yet,
[23:32] but it's too soon we're still trying to get everything
[23:35] nailed down as far as the schedule of events.
[23:39] Yeah.
[23:39] The next item on the committee.
[23:41] It's not based on the question.
[23:43] Okay.
[23:44] So I wonder.
[23:47] I wonder would the,
[23:48] would the artists be willing to pay if,
[23:50] There was a small feet of park, right?
[23:52] Cause I'm thinking the parking lot on shore road on September 9th.
[23:57] I mean, is it, would it be full typically that weekend?
[24:01] I wonder if we could work out a deal with them
[24:03] where they could get a discount and park there for,
[24:06] I don't like say $10.
[24:08] I mean, you guys know, the park is co-plot?
[24:11] Yeah.
[24:11] You mean, the park is co-plot across from where it's,
[24:15] they don't give a discount.
[24:17] I don't believe, no, but we include
[24:20] the parking. So the parking is the only thing still kind of up in the air, I have to talk
[24:28] to Jonathan again, to Jonathan's because, you know, I have to wait till he's sure he doesn't
[24:33] have an event that day to use his big parking lot, but we can fit 100 cars in there. We just have
[24:39] to shuttle people back and forth and if they want to go back to their car again, they're on their
[24:44] kind of, you know what I mean? I've got to get back on their own. Some people last year, we have
[24:52] to make sure they don't do this year. We really would prefer that they not pay extra to park
[24:59] in both places because we want parking for people to come to the event too. You know what I mean?
[25:04] Some of them pay to park right in the coal and then people can't come to, you know what I mean?
[25:09] They're stuck there. They're all day and people that want to come can't come. So
[25:15] We're trying to keep those lots open for people to
[25:20] look at.
[25:24] There you go.
[25:25] But hopefully.
[25:27] Yeah, maybe.
[25:27] Yeah, maybe next year.
[25:28] Because I know the trolleys have been full.
[25:31] Maybe next year we look at the trolleys and see what that would cost and include it in the budget.
[25:37] Yeah.
[25:37] The trolleys are expensive.
[25:39] Oh, they.
[25:40] We've thought about that.
[25:41] But I think it's Amy.
[25:42] You know what the trolleys is?
[25:43] 1,000 up to 400 dollars an hour.
[25:46] Ouch.
[25:47] I think we just, we kind of have the situation straightened out because we have a multitude
[25:53] of people who, when we pocket Jonathan's or if we pocket an satellite parking lot, we have
[26:00] people who volunteered to drive the out of town to the cove so I think staying out of most of
[26:06] the paid parking lots is the most important thing for the event and said to have the traffic flow
[26:13] So people can park and come to the event and also I would just reach out and say this right now for anyone who's listening, if you live in or on Perkins Cove and you have a spot, let us choose it.
[26:30] I mean, Jen walks around, I walk around, we ask people that we know, can we put
[26:34] what we know?
[26:36] And people are great.
[26:38] Because I worked out a lot of spaces for volunteers, you know, that place lets us use spots
[26:43] still three o'clock.
[26:44] You know, he needs a map to three o'clock for his folks.
[26:47] But, you know, K gave us two spots at her house for people to paint it on the marginal way
[26:51] that needed to get closer to the marginal way that couldn't walk as well.
[26:55] Um, Perkins Park is like, you have spaces for volunteers also.
[27:00] They, oh, they, oh, they, oh, they did a lot of spaces for volunteers.
[27:04] Yes.
[27:04] All my neighbors.
[27:05] We asked everyone we could put our hands on because we, you have a lot of volunteers that have the park.
[27:10] And then we have music people that have the platform, what laws got a, you know, you've got a lot of people.
[27:14] So we end up calling in a lot of favors from folks as much as we can around.
[27:19] But we had a pretty well under control, like that last year.
[27:22] I mean, the fire was an issue.
[27:23] Yeah, right, right. Yeah, that was a little
[27:27] talking difficult. Excuse me because they had they couldn't get they couldn't get to it. They couldn't get down there, right after a certain point right right right. Yeah, right, okay.
[27:38] What's certainly nothing like that will happen to see. It's not
[27:43] I think we're either too. We may have several spots over there. Yeah, we'll be happy. So I'll I'll I'll I'll bring up before the people there and
[27:52] was going to be present that weekend at the night and we're going to use this space.
[27:56] And it works great, but then you have to remember as they park there and then paint.
[28:02] Now they've got to put their painting back in their car and make their way to the code by three
[28:07] of thought. Now they've got to park again. That's the only problem that's the only problem that.
[28:13] I mean, so that's here it's also two years in a row. I mean, they did have an event last year,
[28:18] But they said that if we didn't get the Jonathan's parking lot,
[28:22] we could use their parking behind the house
[28:23] behind the Baptist Church.
[28:25] So we're very fortunate that people,
[28:28] when you reach out to them, do say yes to situations.
[28:32] People just have to understand, especially the artists
[28:34] that, you know, when the painting event ends,
[28:37] or begins, it might not immediate service to get their car.
[28:40] They might just need to be a little bit patient.
[28:43] So we can shuttle people to the different places
[28:45] that we have donated spots.
[28:48] That's probably the biggest thing that we think, Jen.
[28:51] It's just, yeah, they trickle in more in the morning.
[28:56] It's a bigger problem in the afternoon,
[28:58] but we had a lot of people at the end.
[29:00] We had a friend, man, he offered us two vans.
[29:03] He's a great to do it again this year.
[29:05] Stacy, plus all our drivers, everybody tend to leave.
[29:11] Don't you think Amy within a 45 minutes
[29:14] to an hour, where they trick a lend for two or three hours in the morning.
[29:18] The one and other thing that we're excited to do this year is we're going to have
[29:21] someone take pictures of every single painting with the number on it and the paintings
[29:25] that don't sell, we're going to be able to place them somewhere on either on Facebook or
[29:31] other places and people have an opportunity after the fact we had a lot of people contact
[29:35] this last year, actually and we were trying to match up paintings with numbers.
[29:40] So this year we're going to have someone who don't answer time to photograph the painting
[29:44] with the number and then we'll have that information for people who go home and think about it and want to
[29:51] process the painting afterwards. That's because there was seven who have been things ever
[29:57] There were at least seven or eight people after the fight.
[30:00] Act that, you know, we're contacting me, this gentleman painted over by or we'd called, he had a hat off on it, and a blue shirt, you know, I want, I want the painting, can you see, I'm going to, photos trying to figure out who it was, but we, we did it, but it would be easier the other way. We're going to try to improve that.
[30:21] Okay. The next item on the agenda is any technology out there's the deal that we have to talk about wrong.
[30:33] No, just I, I'll start scheduling the post for July and I'll wait till the end of July to do the August.
[30:42] But I'll go and well, both on Facebook and Instagram and there's a couple other sites that we post to as well.
[30:50] One thing that Neil and I talked about during the winter season was the why doesn't
[30:57] the town go on this ACH program where the citizen of Czechs are going to be a director
[31:05] positive to bend this accounts and yesterday the town is slightly improved this change
[31:13] So, a town, a financial director is now in the process of trying to develop within two or three months.
[31:24] The logistics of trying to make sure all this flows together, and eventually we're going to be this having people have to submit their financial affirmation and the account they want the money to go to, and the money is going to be why it transferred into those accounts as opposed to issuing checks.
[31:42] So that's something that would be clean up for us, for instance, of science, spent a
[31:47] lot of time just getting checks for the various music venues that we had this three
[31:53] a week, you know, and the museum, we give them the check-to-night that they appear to play.
[32:01] They don't send it out really.
[32:02] And as a result, it's kind of a little bit staggered.
[32:06] So I think next year we're going to probably do everything directly to their account
[32:11] after the after the performance. So I think this is a nice change for everybody and going slowly.
[32:19] So that's where that is right now. Any other talks about technology?
[32:27] No, that's great that they approved that. I think it's going to make science life a lot easier.
[32:32] Yeah, and the other other other business, we need to, based on that, I've, I've
[32:42] lost.
[32:43] I've got committee.
[32:44] We need to nominate every year and vote for a committee chairperson and a committee
[32:52] vice chairperson.
[32:54] So we haven't done that for the 2023, 2024 season.
[33:00] And so, I like to have some nominations for the position of chairperson, some of these interests
[33:08] in doing it.
[33:11] Hello.
[33:19] How are you?
[33:26] Hello.
[33:28] Hello.
[33:28] Hello.
[33:28] Hello.
[33:28] I second thought.
[33:30] Okay.
[33:34] And, you know, are we going to vote?
[33:37] I'm here here.
[33:39] I guess, okay, so I'll disapprove.
[33:42] All right.
[33:43] For a vice-chair person,
[33:45] not usually the vice-chair person's position is
[33:47] well, vice-chair slash secretaries.
[33:50] It's like one position.
[33:52] And what we've done this past year is
[33:54] I take an undue responsibility of the secretary
[33:57] position for writing up the information after the meetings, which I want to continue doing.
[34:04] Okay, how do mind doing it? I've not a big issue and I'm able to get it done and I like I don't mind doing that.
[34:11] So this other position, if the person coming on wants to do both, then that's fine.
[34:17] But if the person on these interests and being just vice president and that's that's fine with me.
[34:23] Okay, so anybody want to nominate anybody for a vice chair person
[34:29] Anybody interested in the position?
[34:31] I'll nominate I and if he was willing to do it again.
[34:35] How second did that?
[34:37] Okay, anybody else?
[34:41] No, no, the nominations can be make a have a vote please. Come on, Javan.
[34:47] I work full time when I'm retiring.
[34:48] So far, I think I know that actually when you think about it, we have three people here that are full time workers out of the five.
[34:59] Yeah, so there's no excuse not to volunteer right for an organization in town.
[35:03] Yeah, I just say all five of you and the other two, just wonderful.
[35:09] I'll be in a great group.
[35:11] Yeah.
[35:11] And anyhow, outside public health care, then getting the idea.
[35:17] No, no, no, no, be out there okay. So we've got to conclude the meeting.
[35:25] Next meeting is August 9th, 2023. It would be a hybrid meeting again. It seems to work perfectly.
[35:34] I want to thank both of you Neil and Amy for coming on board to the hybrid myth method,
[35:39] because it was important that we have all of us here today to make it a form to be able to have a meeting.
[35:46] Okay, so can we talk a little bit about Bill and Beth like with their background siren?
[35:54] No, I have no idea. I talk to Beth today. She didn't realize she was on the committee.
[36:06] So like about five minutes before I talked to him because one of her girlfriends called her up.
[36:10] And I guess she's very involved with the,
[36:14] the, the, the, the, which were commissions that.
[36:18] Contemplacic, basic commission.
[36:20] She's not the secretary for that commission.
[36:23] So she, she's definitely going to be the alternate person on our committee.
[36:27] And she would like to be able to help up with the events.
[36:30] She, her background was she had a, a summer camp.
[36:34] She was meant all the events at the summer camp.
[36:37] Some place alone.
[36:38] And she had been there was some type of school that they'd ran.
[36:42] So she's pretty involved with knowledge
[36:46] of running games and doing activities like that.
[36:49] I think the commission there is,
[36:55] they've made three or four times a month,
[36:59] and she's a secretary.
[37:00] So they're much more active.
[37:02] I told her, we're just the office,
[37:03] and we meet once a month,
[37:06] We're out, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out four nights a week, and all our best off the summer.
[37:10] So it's just the, we don't meet as much, you know, we just meet once a month, but we're busy at the other nights of the week.
[37:19] And so I'm not sure, you know, what she was, she wasn't prepared to know that she didn't know she was going to be nominated and be voted in.
[37:28] And then I haven't, I try to,
[37:30] I want to reach the other person.
[37:34] Bill Marath. And I left him in a voicemail on his phone, walking into the committee, and he's going to be a full-time member, but I'm not sure he even knows he's on the committee.
[37:49] So anyway, I have no idea, so we'll find out, it'll work.
[38:01] We'll meet them and bring them in and make them part of our group.
[38:06] And give them things to do, because that's what you're joined this far.
[38:10] You don't join to be social, but you're here to provide a service for the people here at the time.
[38:16] We do that, and then we will have to, but we managed to have fun.
[38:22] Yes, we do.
[38:24] All right.
[38:26] Any other businesses anybody have anything else they want to talk about?
[38:30] No.
[38:31] Okay.
[38:32] So at 1242, we're ready to close up the meeting.
[38:40] And some of you have to make a motion to close the meeting.
[38:43] I'll second. Okay, hi, I'm just a second.
[38:48] And Jen, and it was 1242.
[38:53] All right. All right.
[38:54] All right. Thank you very much for being here today.
[38:58] Guys, everybody, and we're so good.
[39:02] Thank you very, very much.
[39:03] Thank you. Thank you.
[39:05] Who's your music in the cold tonight?
[39:08] It'll be in here tonight.
[39:09] Kim, Kim Stanley.
[39:18] Yeah, I think he's been singing at least four, five years with us, you know, and he started, he's a kid that went to kindergarten high school.
[39:37] I know which one. Yes, and now I think he's either at the
[39:41] British School of Music of the New England Conservatory School.
[39:45] And that's why he lost it. And that's where he's he's now a freshman.
[39:49] I mean, you probably complete a freshman year of college.
[39:52] I want to remember, I have a streaming. You want me to bring in?
[39:57] If you haven't changed, I would bring it. Yeah, I think he, I'm just a
[40:03] It's interesting because it's this, this John use a teenage when he started with us.
[40:08] That's right.
[40:09] That's right.
[40:09] Right.
[40:10] Yeah.
[40:10] The 17th.
[40:12] The 17th is what he's going to be there.
[40:14] And then Sunday,
[40:16] Doug willing is the group train with Miller.
[40:19] Right.
[40:19] Richard's home.
[40:21] She's great.
[40:22] She's fantastic.
[40:23] She's done.
[40:27] She really knows how to work a crowd.
[40:29] Yeah.
[40:31] Yeah.
[40:31] Yeah, that's it.
[40:33] That was full.
[40:36] That was just good.
[40:39] That was great.
[40:40] And then back by the way, the other thing I just heard as you're Chris, I said in the
[40:46] note to Matt about last weekend and how we're being wedged, and two of the questions
[40:52] were on it.
[40:53] Two of the things was electricity at the box down in the cold was not working.
[40:58] It's now fixed.
[40:59] I think they fixed it yesterday and they would be asked for a CSO support on the Wednesdays and Friday nights and you, if you're going to make programs on the setting,
[41:14] you may want to consider that because it's dangerous to me.
[41:18] So that watch you don't want the street in the car wants to get by and somebody's going to get
[41:24] back.
[41:24] It'll only be for a little track.
[41:26] So tonight, we have company at 630, I'll show up on Friday, make sure you show up.
[41:35] I'll set up the thing and it's really easy to work and then if you can just hold on to
[41:43] it, Bob.
[41:45] you know, I'll be there at the end. I'll be at the end. I, I, I'm doing a, I volunteer to be
[41:54] work at the weekly, weekly sense of the three days and I'm going for training this afternoon.
[42:01] I'm going to become the cop.
[42:04] All right, it's just three days of volunteering.
[42:08] I'm interested in doing that.
[42:10] I can go somewhere.
[42:11] Can you get the cleaner on the front page?
[42:13] Who knows?
