[0:00] Welcome to the demo of the Meridia electronic Voting system
[0:04] that we'll be using for the town meeting on November 13th, 2023.
[0:08] we're going to have a small handheld device
[0:11] that is going to be given to each voter at check in.
[0:14] these devices as will have a green button.
[0:16] That means, yes, that says 1A.
[0:18] And it has yes next to it
[0:20] and a no button that is 2b and red and it has no next to it.
[0:24] one of the things you'll notice is there is a number on the back.
[0:27] That number on the back will be there just so that we can calibrate
[0:30] and run any kind of tests.
[0:31] when I open the poll,
[0:33] it will now allow for me to press the button
[0:35] and it will come up with one and say, okay, on the screen.
[0:38] Now that means that your vote has been cast.
[0:41] It also allows you during the same poll, as long as the poll is still open,
[0:44] you can switch your vote and it will say 2 and okay
[0:47] and you can switch your vote as much as you want
[0:49] up until the moment that the poll closes.
[0:51] and then that's where the total results will show up onto the screen for you
[0:54] so that everyone will see up on the regular screens for town meeting
[0:58] where the moderator will then read them off
[1:00] and we'll have that as our vote total for the evening.
