[0:57] Lady Bulldogs against the Lady Wolverines of Westwood High. And Steve, this should be a

[1:04] great game. Westwood 10. Oh, and one on the season. No losses. Bulldogs, seven, two, and one

[1:11] have a great year and we expect a great game here tonight.

[1:15] Oh, it should be an awesome game.

[1:17] Pete, this is what we're looking for.

[1:19] Westwood, like you said, undefeated rank number one in division two,

[1:24] Canton in the top 10 in division two.

[1:26] So, yeah, this is what you're looking for right here.

[1:29] This is a test to find out where you really stand going towards the end

[1:34] of the season, because we're about halfway through the schedule right now.

[1:38] and this this will tell you where your program's going no question and bulldogs playing very very well

[1:44] had a big win against Adam the other night that we broadcasted I'll tell you they

[1:50] they they ran into a hot goalie she played very well the that I'm gold tender but

[1:56] can't enable put a few goals and especially later on in that game but I'll tell you they

[2:02] they had a they had a test there but came out of it victorious yeah you know the first period

[2:07] you know, they kind of own that. But second and third period, Debtum, Debtum was all over them

[2:12] and Katie made some great saves to keep him in it and, you know, they came back on the

[2:17] pile play scored a goal and scored another one late and, you know, that's all they needed. But again,

[2:24] a tough test, maybe they were looking ahead to Westwood knowing that, you know, Westwood's a really

[2:29] good squad. Well, this is, you said it earlier. This is, this is a test to see how the program is,

[2:34] how they are doing, how your season is going, and certainly, you know, a great, you know,

[2:42] with the lady bulldogs, they start out, they have a great goal tender and keep bud way playing

[2:46] very, very well. She had a great game the other night, defensively, very, very strong,

[2:52] they're playing well, getting those rebounds out, little tough putting them puck in the net.

[2:57] So we'll see how they do against this team tonight, but, you know, they had a couple games

[3:03] where they've they've been able to but then they get snake bit a little bit so they just need a

[3:08] little more consistency maybe crashing the net getting those rebounds. Well the last two

[3:12] games that we did peat all the goals that we shot that we said that they scored were on rebounds.

[3:18] They shot the puck got a rebound boom in the net. Not scoring on that initial shot with a goal

[3:24] we might be making the save but when the goal is given the rebound that's what they've been scoring

[3:28] their goals so you had to keep doing that keep you know shooting the puck going

[3:34] hard to the net I'm sure the Westwood goal is a pretty good you know being

[3:38] undefeated sure they have a good defensive squad too but that's why you shoot

[3:43] from anywhere you know when you get in the offensive zone unless you get a 2-1-1-3

[3:47] on 2 where you can make a play but you know your mind said should be shooting the

[3:51] puck and crashing on that so Steve what do you think the you know if you are the

[3:57] coach of the of the lady bulldogs. What would you tell your team? How would you solve a

[4:02] a gold tender that seems to be playing very very well in a team that's undefeated at this

[4:07] point. What do you tell these girls to come out early on in this first period? Well, first of

[4:13] all, when you're going to shoot the puck, shoot it low, like pad stick, so you're getting a rebound.

[4:18] When you're stuck on one up top, especially gloves side, they're going to make the glove save,

[4:22] you know, and cover it up. I'm sure they did this scouting on Westwood, the goal is

[4:29] So, you know, ahead of time, I'm sure they have a little insight of how the goalie plays,

[4:34] but I would like go middle down, force the goalie to play it with their pads and stick

[4:39] in their body for a rebound.

[4:42] And we look, you know, you're always going to be crashing in that.

[4:44] We talk about it all the time, get a body in front of her.

[4:47] If a goalie can't see the puck, they're not going to stop it.

[4:50] So, you know, you want to see that, get some bodies in front of her, get some shots even

[4:55] from the outside.

[4:56] and you never know, right? Tips, deflections, you never know what can happen.

[5:00] Well, they did a great job in last game.

[5:02] Pete, I think George a camel or a self had three or four shots on net, and that's what

[5:07] you're looking for. Bring it down low, play a high low game. You come down low, bring

[5:11] their forwards down low, get it back to the defense to take a shot, but you said, have

[5:16] somebody in front of the net, screen in the goal, and we side to side, take away their

[5:21] rise. Now, you know, you got to assume Westwood have some pretty good

[5:25] skaters on this team. So they're they're going to be a fast team and they're

[5:29] going to move that puck pretty well. You know, defensively, I think, you know, the

[5:33] Bulldogs can't get runner around their own zone because that that's when nothing

[5:37] good can happen. Right. And Pete, we've seen two games, three games so far

[5:43] together. And structurally, they play very well. They keep everybody to the

[5:47] side most of the shots that we have seen have been from the outside the point that's what

[5:53] you're going to do you're going to keep that you know keep doing that push everybody to the

[5:56] outside don't let them get shots down in the slot area or inside the circles.

[6:02] So you know if as long as you're as good as your goalie plays right we're assuming Cape

[6:09] Budway is going to be in net tonight although we haven't got the starting line up yet but

[6:13] assume that so you know she has just she had a great game the other night she

[6:18] played she made some nice stops they did score two goals but certainly

[6:23] neither one of those were her fault and I think she's she's a play with a lot of

[6:27] confidence right now absolutely she has peed but even if it's on a key and great

[6:31] great she had a great game that against in the Mansfield game that she was on the

[6:37] ice so we've had a good they can't has a good problem they have two excellent

[6:41] at least solid defense. So, you know, the problem may be, you know, like we ran into the

[6:49] last game, they get a little tired coming to third period. Coach going to run just

[6:54] the two lines again. This is a team that, you know, obviously, a lot of play is out there.

[7:00] Westwood has a lot of play. It looks like they're probably going to run three lines, which,

[7:09] I mean we talked a lot about the last game two lines. It's just not going to it's it's going to be tough

[7:15] It'll be tough. You really have to even if you just involve a player here or a player there from the third line

[7:21] Into incorporate them into those lines to give people a rest. That's fine, but you you I mean we've been through it before

[7:28] It's very hard to run two lines the whole season especially against the team that we think is it's undefeated

[1:12:37] Yeah, I mean, can tell they were the other class right now, division two, Pete still undefeated,

[1:12:45] three very good lines, good goalie, just a very solid team.

[1:12:51] You know what Keegan Gray played excellent today. I know the coach pulled her at near the end of the period, but

[1:12:58] Definitely wasn't her fault. She kept the team in the game for a long, long time. Just very hot. Just very hot

[1:13:06] I mean this up better team better team and you could see it. Can't it was
