[4:30] took over as the Dell Rapids Community Development Director.

[4:35] Uh I was the executive director of the Chamber of

[4:38] in a three-hour right now um three three-minute things but

[4:44] I I wanted to come and present to you guys some ideas that we were talking

[4:47] about when I was on the chamber board of trying to maybe work together

[4:52] as both the Rapids and Plover taking creating more of a area Chamber of

[4:56] Commerce. Um just to kind of help the businesses

[4:59] here in town as well as in Dell Rapids in the area. Um this idea kind of came

[5:04] because I started to see a lot of the businesses here posting in the Plover

[5:09] local Dell Rapids Facebook pages and other Dell Rapids pages and like why why

[5:13] not try to build something that is more area

[5:16] that we could work together and and help one another. So that's really kind of

[5:21] the thought that I've had um three a high-level idea at this point. I'm not

[5:25] sure how it would how it would how it would work.

[5:28] Um but really my my goal is to try to help all the businesses succeed and

[5:32] things. You guys probably face a lot of the same

[5:35] things that we do being so close to Sioux Falls. How do we get people to

[5:39] shop local, do the things local? Well, I mean it's so easy to go to New Sioux

[5:42] Falls and go to work and work and whatever that may be.

[5:46] Um so that's a trying to paint a picture of what I'm

[5:51] I'm hoping to accomplish and pass off to the chamber of commerce and take take

[5:55] over. >> I love it.

[5:59] you know, we want to take take over any events or change any of the any of the

[6:05] things that have been going on. It's more of a how can we network together,

[6:08] share ideas, share resources, and help one another

[6:14] » that come to the Dog Days meetings we had. Um, at least one I'm not sure if he

[6:20] came to ones I wasn't at, but it was very well received by everybody there

[6:23] and we were really excited at the thought of having

[6:32] I think it'll would only benefit the people in Baltic and us.

[6:37] » That sounds good. Actually, this last year working with Cooper Resources and

[6:40] learning so much about this and because I spent 19 years in IT, so this world

[6:44] was new to me. Um, and I think the thing that they

[6:47] forced that word is they pushed R&D, but rip and duplicate.

[6:53] So, if there's something working in an area community, they can use it,

[6:57] put your own spin on it if you need to. >> Have you talked to anybody the local

[37:13] grant application for that phase two in November first. And so, we'll work with

[37:17] the city now to try to get that to apply for that grant application for that

[37:21] portion. Once we do that, they have a decent uh should be back at the

[37:25] beginning of calendar year as far as the timeframe on whether we're getting first

[37:29] with that sanction of um so, hopefully we're we're going to be able to do that

[37:32] one do that project in 2027. So, that's kind of about where we're at. We have a

[37:37] 26 on 6th and a 27 on 5th. >> But yeah, I think the end of the year

[45:10] years. Uh worked for the city of Flandreau for 2 years. Uh

[45:13] held one of the Public Works positions. Uh I was water and waste water

[45:17] superintendent up there under the Public Works Department.

[45:20] Uh so I came in with the snow removal uh road construction plans, worked with

[45:26] lots of contractors and whatnot up there. Uh

[45:29] moved out of Lennox cuz I wanted to move back to my hometown.

[45:32] Uh worked in a waste water treatment plant down there. Uh I actually love it.

[45:36] I'm not a office type of person sitting in that plant all day. Kind of maybe get

[45:40] some fresh air and crazy. This position opened up and this is kind

[45:44] of what I've always been looking for. It's a Public Works position, especially

[45:49] in the supervisor or director role. There's so many different aspects from

[45:53] the office side of it to the knowing the codes and the water side of it, waste

[45:58] water. And it just kind of fit. Everything uh grew up on a farm.

[46:02] Uh so I had to be proficient just about anything mailman break.

[46:07] Uh so I can think on my toes, but yeah, I
