[5:19] Friday early afternoon um and has spent a little bit of time uh waiting for the

[5:25] plants to come um all day today I talked with Jim th and and the plans um with

[5:32] dimensions on them literally came into my email as I was sitting down in here

[5:36] so myself and the chief will be going through those tomorrow um and then

[5:41] report back to how that goes I will do

[5:46] that so that is all I have at this time on the fire department building uh

[5:52] libraries you have anything on that uh Administration police Library building

[5:57] um the department heads police chief uh the head of the library Cathy myself and

[6:01] Jamie were over there we went through some things um Friday with band and I'm

[6:08] hoping to have a new set of plans we do have a pretty good set of plans but

[6:12] there are a couple changes but I was hoping to have those for you tonight but

[6:16] because of the amount of changes um it's going to be a little bit yet before I

[6:20] have a set of plans for that and as soon as I get those to everybody my intent is

[6:26] that we would then send those to their estimators and get a price on that I'm

[6:31] hoping to have that price of where that kind of falls into place for finance and

[6:37] personnel and that's not going out to bed that would be just getting a kind of

[6:41] a placeholder dollar amount so and there a library decided to come this uh that's

[6:48] still a conversation um there's lots lots to go before that decision is made

[8:20] more or less this gives us an outlet uh a place to where we can bring animals um

[8:26] that no longer suit our shelter after that grace period time is lapsed so we

[8:32] deliver the ad uh we deliver or there's the pause for cause that's came spoke to

[8:37] everybody right they would be willing to work with us as well um for some

[8:42] transport okay if if needed yeah and do these animals then go to

[8:48] Luxembourg is that where they go I see that lady there here

[8:52] from is that where the animals go or do they kind of go to different shelters

[8:57] they'll go to the Wisconsin Human Society either Brown County or D County

[10:07] are um have a couple of their school board members and asked if we would put

[10:11] a couple together to kind of start the conversation um this isn't making any

[10:16] decisions this is to Simply have a conversation of what the city's intent

[10:23] will be when we get there of what we will do with this property here

[10:28] obviously the school school has a lot of interest we own more or less right up to

[10:32] the ELA School District's property um and this third of the block per se or

[10:39] two twoth thirds of the block um that is kind of the start of this they would

[10:44] like to meet tomorrow morning at 4 or sorry tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 in the

[10:49] afternoon um to kind of start the the looks at this building and and where it

[10:55] goes from there

[10:59] uh the appointment says two council members uh the school has five members

[11:03] on their part of the ad hoc committee uh so I made that three council members uh

[11:10] myself Matt I asked Scott and John and Wayne if they would be a part of this ad

[11:16] hoc committee so there are question is this always going to meet on the first

[11:21] Tuesday of the month it is I think that's something we will talk about

[11:25] tomorrow at 4:30 about when these meetings would will not be able to

[11:29] attend the first meeting first Tuesday the month I at 4:30 I have trustees from

[11:35] okay if that's going to present a problem then I don't think

[13:36] Broadband yes this is something that uh the county has reached out to ask if

[13:41] they are applying for some more Grant assistance to continue broad Broadband

[13:46] throughout the county um the county has uh kind of vetted a process and decided

[13:52] to work um with this company be to try to continue to put the backbone

[13:58] infrastructure and throughout the county um this grant theoretically will not

[14:03] help the city at all um it's our rural areas um part of the grant though is if

[14:09] they get the cities and Villages I think they get two or three points for every

[14:14] municipality that would support or send a letter of support in this um the towns

[14:19] I think they only get one port uh one point for so they're asking for the city

[14:24] for to sign a letter of support um if we would be in favor of them it they're

[14:31] applying for it they're up against a lot of other uh counties to receive this but

[14:37] it would be a letter of support for the county to work to try to expand um

[14:42] Broadband out into the rural communities outside of the city here in the

[14:47] countywide rural areas clarify for me the two points per City for per

[14:54] recommendation per per letter of support from a municip

[15:00] it has to be it has to be adopted here at the city council level so if anybody

[15:05] just sends a letter of support it doesn't count for

[15:08] anything your letter is essentially this letter here um with the okay from the

[15:15] city council so I just want to make sure send eight separate letters on no

[15:23] are they no longer working with bu tussle this this would be a separate

[15:27] grant that would bug tussle would still be doing the the work for say this is to

[15:34] get some grant funding to help pay for that so bug tussle would still be the

[15:41] the provider of the installation and Bug tussle would still be the one that you

[15:46] would be getting your internet services from well the only reason I asked that

[15:51] because in this when you read this it shows um you know and I'm wondering well

[15:59] then they must be going to run this up to the person's house or whatever if you

[16:04] look under there thought monthly fiber subscription rates so then the

[16:10] individuals would be contracting with them to get the

[16:17] Broadband that is a great question and the answer is

[16:23] yes okay yes it is the answer is it is it is that this company are

[16:29] this is a federal deal y there's grant money available and they have certain

[16:34] time frames to get their application in to get the grant money MH and that's why

[16:39] they want our support the county was very very big was

[16:43] unanimous to go to go with these guys because what they were saying is there's

[16:48] no outlay from the county or any of the cities to get this done and every person

[16:53] in our County will get access to the internet through this system yes they

[16:59] will pay a fee and it will it will all it will cover the whole County and every

[17:02] home in the county will have access to the internet through this system the

[17:07] quicker we get this approved the quicker the county uh uh can add this onto their

[17:14] list which will help them get the money to get this all done and hopefully when

[17:18] it's all done it won't cost the county anything they do have to provide some um

[17:24] land here and there for the uh uh I Communications part of this uh and

[17:32] they've agreed to do that but there's no outlay of money so they were very

[17:35] excited that they could get internet to everybody and not have to lay out in me

[17:39] well then what happened to all the money that they invested in this bug tussle

[17:43] what did what did they get well they still they're still going on and they

[17:46] will still they they're still they have their services they're they're putting

[17:50] the infrastructure in so so bug tle is putting everything down every street

[17:56] down every road okay they're putting the fight

[17:59] backb in now the way I'm understanding it now in talking listening to John is

[18:05] they this will get you from the street up to your house so it's like a a

[18:10] charter or a spect

[18:14] yes a question in the the letter because I assume that's the form letter that we

[18:18] would or mayor would sign the fourth paragraph found it says uh seeking be

[18:23] funding to expand Broadband services in the city of ela of Kiani County but

[18:27] that's not the case we already have it we don't really call a FY um it's really

[18:33] hard to count um but if you look at the map it's all in black and white um the

[18:39] eligible areas don't line up in the city of Vela at all sure it's all a rural

[18:45] outside of the city sure should the verbiage not be included in there then a

[18:49] form letter this is a form letter that they sent ask for this asking for

[18:53] support that's a cookie cutter that we used and more or less put it on our

[18:57] letter head [Applause]

[19:07] so you're just looking for a motion to support if that is something that the

[19:10] city would like to do I'd be looking for a motion any more I'll make a motion to

[20:31] to those with a valid request on file early inperson voting begins tomorrow

[20:36] Tuesday February 4th and concludes Friday February 14th voting takes place

[20:40] in the clerk's office during normal business

[20:43] hours what is actually on the ballot besides the Supreme Court that is it I

[20:48] think it's just the state superintendent there's one thing on the

[20:52] ballot um I do have one thing to add that's not an election um don't forget

[20:56] to get your dog t um dog licenses are due by March

[21:05] 31st all right that is if nobody has any questions that's all I

[21:23] casual conversations uh Matt and I went down John came the chief uh fire chief

[21:28] came down appreciate that uh we had a pretty good turnout to start with for

[21:38] conversation even with concerns um and then it kind of petered

[21:42] out after that so uh next meeting to be determined maybe listen to see what

[21:49] people say about the meeting we had should have done this could have been at

[21:53] this time whatever uh or we make some progress in our projects and then we

[21:57] report that um so the next meeting probably just to

[22:01] be uh determined uh again the people that did show up I really appreciate it

[22:07] there was a lot of good conversation to start with uh for about an hour I would

[22:12] say and then uh we moved on we brought a table full of information uh everything

[22:18] that we have going on I think got it all and then uh a lot of history uh things

[22:24] they could look at tax information budget information it was all there

[22:28] someone wanted to look at it so I feel like went good even though

[22:35] I wish we would had anything I

[22:40] don't it's very good had a good turnout it's good question I got a lot of it was

[22:45] usual questions dogs garbage in somebody's yard you know stuff like that

[22:50] but they got around to the bigger issues too

[22:52] so I think everybody appreciated that that you were willing to stand up there

[22:57] and do that that's great was good and appreciate the work you're

[23:01] doing as well Tommy answered a couple of questions and tried to answer a couple
