No, I remember him.
[3:40]
I didn't mean anything, it was a mistake.
[3:42]
Oh, Rick.
[3:49]
We need to talk about the county and I'm going to help you guys with your follow-up.
[3:57]
Sounds like a plan.
[4:00]
Thanks for listening.
[4:02]
Absolutely.
[4:03]
I work in Riverside.
[4:08]
All right.
[4:10]
Good evening, everybody.

of the board. Individual speakers shall be allowed three minutes to address the board.
[5:30]
The total time limit for addressing the board shall be 20 minutes. We have one speaker tonight,
[5:34]
so I think it's going to be an issue.
[5:39]
And at this time, I would like to ask Ray Coach Curtis
[5:44]
please address the board.
[5:49]
And a pleasant good evening.
[5:51]
President Brown, Board, Dr. Mays.
[5:54]
My name is Ray Hose Curtis.
[5:56]
I'm presently the Riverside County Board
[5:59]
of Trusty for Area 5.
[6:02]
And my area begins in Palm Springs,
[6:05]
journeys to Bany, Beaumont, San Jaceno
[6:08]
and Marino Valley.
[6:10]
Also I've been a former board member in Beaumont
[6:13]
and in Bany.
[6:14]
And it is my pleasure here tonight to offer my congratulations for the Academic Decathlon Championship
[6:22]
Beaumont High School,
[6:29]
being a former high school principal, I know that the high school
[6:32]
is using in the light. It's like a lighthouse. So congratulations to the high school principal
[6:39]
for juggling that schedule, making that team work, the coach of the team,
[6:49]
I don't know, is
[6:50]
the coach and the efforts that those young people had to endure to make it happen.
[7:04]
As a high school principal as I said, the high school was in the light and at this
[7:09]
time, boom on high school is in the light and in order for things to happen in the academic
[7:16]
to California, which I'm familiar with, you have to have a team and it was very evident
[7:21]
that my high school had a team and that component of the teams they have to be really
[7:27]
highly intellectual and intelligent.
[7:30]
And dedicated because it's a lot of time constraints, strong communication skills, and they have to give up sacrifices that they normally have.
[7:41]
Some play on a team, some has other commitments, but those are all entitled to making a successful championship.
[7:48]
And they had to be, you know, work effectively as a team. Being a former coach, I know how important that is, to get young people to function the way you would like them to function for a goal.
[7:59]
that they set, but as a coach you're there to help them achieve that, just like in your classroom.
[8:06]
As they said, Beaumont High School is the lighthouse of the district.
[8:10]
It serves a primary guiding light for all the other schools in your district,
[8:16]
and the surrounding community, and the light is shining right now on Beaumont
[8:20]
Unified School District in the High School.
[8:25]
And I just had this premonition today.
[8:29]
It was a horrible Super Bowl game, if you watched that.
[8:33]
But listen, where was the Super Bowl held?
[8:38]
Quick, David.
[8:41]
Where was it?
[8:43]
In Santa Clara.
[8:44]
Where are you going for the championship, Beaumont?
[8:48]
Santa Clara.
[8:49]
So I'm going to wish you and the team in all of the 10
[8:52]
to good luck and I hope you bring home a championship from Santa Clara.
[8:58]
So, in closing, my coffee offer is still open for you gentlemen.
[9:04]
Mr. Sanchez will pay the bill.
[9:07]
Have a nice night and also as I said earlier,
[9:10]
if you I can be of any help with your bond issue.
[9:13]
Let me know. I have contact.
[9:15]
Thank you. Thank you. Have a nice night.
[9:17]
Thank you coach Curtis.
[9:21]
Thank you.
[9:32]
All
[9:35]
right, item 8.1,
[9:40]
the board has been asked to approve the recommended action to request
[9:45]
re-admission for expelled pupils, pursuant to education code 48916 and 35146.
[9:54]
Do I hear a motion to readment?
[10:01]
I'll move the recommended action to read mid-students.
[10:04]
I'll second.
[10:15]
Any discussion?
[10:17]
Hearing none, call for the vote.
[10:31]
And the motion is approved.
[10:37]
Or reports.
[10:39]
Report out of closed session, Dr. Sylvester?
[10:43]
I'm sorry. Mr. Sanchez.
[10:46]
Thank you.
[10:46]
No words. Last time,
[10:51]
sorry.
[10:51]
Sorry. Mr. Santas.
[10:52]
All right, the boardmen closed session related
[10:55]
to real property negotiations with respect to item five,
[11:00]
dash three, the board, which was,
[11:03]
item was moved by myself, David, second by Susie,
[11:08]
by unanimous vote of all trustees president,
[11:11]
a president, approved a purchase agreement
[11:14]
for approximately 40 acre parcel.
[11:17]
The property is identified as Riverside County,
[11:22]
assessors parcel number 408, 080, 090,
[11:30]
through 012.
[11:33]
The details of which will be available for public review on request.
[11:38]
One such agreement has been filed by all parties.
[11:43]
That ends my report of actions taken in close action.
[11:47]
Thank you, Mr. Sanchez.
[11:51]
And we will now receive item 9.2.
[11:53]

[16:37]

[18:13]
And
[18:18]
then the academic decathlon as it was highlighted earlier by Coach Curtis.
[18:22]
The Bowman High School, a team, one first place at the research academy level competition,
[18:28]
the achievement, is the first for Bowman's history.
[18:32]
The brilliant students will represent the county at the state level competition March of
[18:40]
And picture in the decathlon, in the picture, our student board member, that served in the first semester of Petra, Rath Felder, is in the big genre, if you can see her, forth from left.
[18:57]
And our student of the month was held on, yeah, I forgot which day it was.

[20:43]

[20:49]
And then we wanted to highlight that spring break this year will be March 30th through April
[20:54]
third, and it's also schools are closed, but the district
[20:57]
office will remain open.
[20:59]
And that is my report, Mr. President.
[21:04]
Thank you, Mr. Kish.
[21:08]
Moving on to item 10.1.
[21:13]
The consent agenda, items prepared for consent agenda are
[21:17]
consistent with adopted and approved policies of the district and
[21:20]
are deemed routine in nature. It will be acted upon in a single
[21:23]
motion without discussion unless any member of the Board of
[21:26]
Trustees request an item be removed.
[21:28]
move from consent agenda in that event. It will be taken up in order indicated on the main agenda.
[21:38]
Item 10 points. So, do I hear a motion to approve the consent agenda?
[21:46]
So, moved. Second.
[21:49]
So, David and Lance, would anyone like to pull an item?
[21:55]
or now, I'm sorry, any discussion?
[21:57]
What do you want me to want to pull a night?
[22:00]
Okay?
[22:00]
Hearing none?
[22:01]
Call for the vote?
[22:12]
And then the motion carries.
[22:22]
All right.
[22:22]
Item 12.1 conduct a second reading and adopt the Beaumont Unified School District
[22:26]
Board Policy regarding business and non-instructional.
[22:31]
Organizations and the 3,000 listed in the summary,
[22:38]
what any one might to make any modifications.
[22:42]
I'm sorry, do I have a motion?
[22:46]
Okay.
[22:46]
I'll second.
[22:47]
Melissa, Susie, discussion?
[22:52]
Hearing none, call for the vote.
[23:06]
And the motion carries.
[23:10]
I don't talk point two, conduct the first reading of what my unified school district's policies
[23:16]
and administrative regulations regarding philosophy goals, objectives, comprehensive plans,
[23:22]
as well as summary, and adopt of a second reading is not necessary.
[23:32]
So, do I hear a motion?
[23:35]
I need to have some questions.
[23:37]
because we're at first reading, right?
[23:41]
So we can do questions because we don't have to talk to tonight.
[23:44]
So, do we do that in discussion or do we do that first?
[23:47]
Well, we would do discussion first in this because it's a first reading.
[23:51]
It is, but it is particular one.
[23:54]
We also agendize it as if you can take action.
[23:57]
If you come to over there because it's a much first deadline.
[24:00]
Okay, by the state.
[24:01]
Okay, so do you want to move it first then?
[24:03]
I would, okay, on the approval.
[24:06]
I just have some questions.
[24:07]
One, two, three.
[24:08]
I guess.
[24:09]
Susie's seconded by Melissa.
[24:12]
So my first question is on 0, 4, 5, 0, the comprehensive safety plan.
[24:19]
This is the BPAR.
[24:22]
See, that's where I, it's hard to find the same board policy, BPA.
[24:29]
Page three.
[24:32]
actually page two, I just want to make sure that I understand on page two, 11, A, B, and C,
[24:44]
says that the school not conduct a high intensity drill. Those are only, that's only done.
[24:52]
When kids are not in session, we do the high intensity, right? Because we don't, we don't do the high intensity
[24:57]
was students and, right, okay, I just wanted to make sure that was, right, okay.
[25:03]
And then on page 3, 14, procedures specifically designed to notify parents and guardians
[25:11]
and districts staff when the school confirms that an officer or employee of an agency
[25:16]
conducting immigration enforcement is on school grounds.
[25:19]
So how do we notify them, is that happen, does that happen after they've been there before
[25:25]
And while they're there, I mean, can you come up and answer questions please because we need it on the record?
[25:47]
There's a process that we outline in the comprehensive school safety plan for the new BP and AR that states that when
[25:57]
staff member, community member, anyone recognizes that there is immigration either on the campus or
[26:05]
imminently about to be on the campus,
[26:08]
they're to notify the principal,
[26:10]
which would be the incident commander.
[26:11]
The incident commander then reaches out
[26:14]
to our public information officer
[26:15]
and works on that communication piece.
[26:18]
All that's being, and we would also run it through legal.
[26:22]
I'm sorry, it's like 10 steps that it goes through
[26:25]
before it actually gets communicated out to the parents.
[26:29]
I can email you a copy of what's out
[26:31]
by the CSS piece.
[26:33]
Well, making all of these a massive, because it's part of our board policy, and I want to make sure that, you know, we have it covered in here.
[26:44]
It is because it used to be outlined in the board policy, and they took it out of the board policy, and outlined it now specifically in the Comprehensible State Department.
[26:51]
So that's where the steps are now located in the CSSP.
[26:54]
Gotcha.
[26:55]
Okay.
[26:58]
So, let's see, that goes back to them.
[27:02]
Tell them the sort of find it.
[27:03]
Steps are the same, they're just re-loading it right.
[27:09]
So, adjustment, one of the tweaks is the notification piece,
[27:13]
which is brand new to legislation, so we've included that piece.
[27:17]
Okay, I'm going to say this.
[27:18]
Okay, the notification piece.
[27:21]
Okay, far.
[27:25]
Okay, and this is all in the school safety plan.
[27:27]
Okay, content and comforts are still to plan.
[27:29]
We don't want them in the middle.
[27:30]
It goes to the next page.
[27:36]
Okay, this is all part of school safety point.
[27:39]
Okay, I think I'll add that answer my question.
[27:41]
So, because I was like looking for the definition basically in policy, but it's in the school safety point instead.
[27:49]
Okay, thank you.
[27:56]
It's a policy that comes up.
[27:58]
Which one?
[28:08]
Exactly.
[28:10]
You're looking at the other one.
[28:14]
I just, there's, there's requirements to inform parents and staff and for different things.
[28:22]
And so I was like, wow, I didn't, you know, we needed to do some of these things, so it's all in.
[28:30]
Okay.
[28:31]
Thank you.
[28:31]
Thank you, Susie.
[28:34]
Any other comments?
[28:37]
Concerns?
[28:37]
Are we, so,
[28:43]
because we have a, because we have, I don't know,
[28:49]
a request from the administration to move this forward outside of our normal, because of a state deadline.
[28:59]
Also, it's not a brand new policy.
[29:01]
It's not a brand new policy.
[29:02]
We just moved some stuff around.
[29:03]
Yeah. It's not brand new. It's kind of a rewriting of an existing policy, which in our normal
[29:11]
conducting of business, we would probably prove it personally. It was brand new. And that's why we'd run it.
[29:16]
Right, sir. Yes. Okay. So, um, I'm gonna, I'm gonna get we have a motion. We have a second.
[29:27]
Any further discussion? Hearing none, I will call for the vote on this item.
[29:32]
and
[29:45]
the motion carries.
[29:51]
I had 12 points, 12.3 is...
[30:01]
This is another one that's kind of similar for where we've just moved stuff around.
[30:07]
It's to delete, while my unified school district's board policy and administrative regulations regarding the students and adopted board policy and administrative regulation regarding community relations.
[30:22]
The summary is basically we're taking.
[30:25]
The state has moved things around.
[30:27]
So we're deleting the policy that only concentrate on students and including and moving it from 5,000 to the 1,000 series and adding staff and that moves to be to detect it and show them their rights.
[30:47]
Okay.
[30:47]
I will move for approval to make the requested changes.
[30:55]
I have a comment on this one as well.
[30:58]
This one is for policy.
[31:02]
One, four, four, five.
[31:05]
I just want on the third page, third paragraph,
[31:12]
in the event that a student's parent guardian in that paragraph.
[31:15]
I just want to clarify that it talks about
[31:21]
Does it need to do some emergency contact information or to any individual who presents a verified
[31:26]
about caregivers authorization after data on the hit of the student?
[31:29]
I just wanted to make it clear that it's a verified caregivers authorization after
[31:35]
data.
[31:35]
Somebody cannot just walk in with an affidated and say this is an affidated.
[31:40]
They have to be verified.
[31:41]
I just want to make sure because of the law that was going, I don't know how it shook out at
[31:47]
the end.
[31:47]
but I want to make sure parents know that we are trying to take every step we can to make sure
[31:53]
that their children are safe and they get picked up by the right person and not somebody
[31:58]
who's planning to have an affidavit.
[32:01]
So I just want to make sure that's clear to everybody that we are doing our due diligence to make sure
[32:05]
our kids are safe.
[32:07]
I take that hurt.
[32:09]
I'm getting that out.
[32:10]
And is it coincided with the other problem that we don't build that was on the earth before
[32:15]
No, I'm just saying it's because it does say that, and says presents a verified and
[32:19]
valid caregiver's authorization.
[32:21]
Is that in the BP or the AR?
[32:25]
It's in the BP.
[32:27]
So the AR would designate, would specify what exactly that verified credential would be correct.
[32:39]
It's the same line we're doing, though.
[32:45]
Nice.
[32:46]
Yeah.
[32:47]
Usually the AR would.
[32:49]
Yeah, no, I just specify the instructions of the BP.
[32:52]
Yeah.
[32:52]
So I'm going to make sure it's clear that the affidavit is actually verified.
[32:55]
It's not just somebody can't just walk in and say, I have an affidavit to pick up this kid.
[32:59]
Can we add language to specify how we verify those affidavits?
[33:03]
I personally wouldn't until the state, because this is all coming down at the state level.
[33:10]
And as we read through and I'm not going to shy away from it, it has to deal more with immigration enforcement
[33:16]
and making sure student fields and the parent fields secure that when they're child at school, they'll come home.
[33:24]
So everything right now is being dictated by the state.
[33:28]
And some of the dictates of the state contradict federal regulations.
[33:34]
So we, we as a board need to be very careful here and just allow it the state is moving, moving through.
[33:43]
As a public organization in the state of California, but I also am very thankful for the terminology that is placed in here.
[33:54]
And for us to be protected too, because we don't want anyone to be heroes either.
[33:59]
And the language in this policy make sure that is also stated.
[34:04]
Because again, this becomes a, you don't want the secretary to become a superman in South
[34:08]
telling you.
[34:09]
Oh, absolutely.
[34:09]
And we have that language here.
[34:11]
It's just a clearly states under section four.
[34:14]
However, district staff shall not obstruct interfere with or otherwise impede an officer or
[34:22]
employee of an agency conducting immigration enforcement who never the less enters a school district
[34:29]
provided transportation, non-public areas, and so on and so forth. So again, no employee is expecting
[34:38]
to should become that barrier. Again, it's a balancing act, and that's why I think as a board
[34:45]
We should just adopt the language as it is and let it hash its way out in the court because this is a buff.
[34:56]
It's above us.
[34:59]
Thank you, Mr. Sanchez.
[35:03]
Any further discussion?
[35:06]
Does this have the March deadline as well?
[35:08]
Yeah both.
[35:11]
Call for the vote?
[35:23]
Because we had promised the Board that we would bring you all the policies on two different occasions throughout the year.
[35:28]
But when there is an anomaly like this, we can't come to this.
[35:34]
All right, and the motion carries.
[35:37]
I am 13.1, approved the certificate
[35:42]
personnel assignment.
[35:44]
Porter listed on the report dated February 10th, 2026.
[35:49]
I'm over-provable.
[35:51]
Second.
[35:52]
To begin David, discussion, hearing none, call for the vote.
[35:58]
and
[36:07]
the motion carries.
[36:09]
Item 13.2.
[36:10]
Approved classified personnel assignment order
[36:12]
listed on the report dated February 10th, 2026.
[36:18]
Loved by Melissa.
[36:20]
Second.
[36:21]
Seconded by Susie.
[36:24]
Any discussion?
[36:26]
Hearing none.
[36:26]
Call for the vote.
[36:38]
Moving on to reports.
[36:39]
Item 14.1.
[36:40]
Receive a report from the California School Employees Association.
[36:44]
And it's Beaumont, Chapter 351.
[36:48]
Not seeing anyone present.
[36:49]
I don't have 14.2, receive a report from the Beaumont Teachers Association.
[37:01]
Good evening.
[37:03]
Good evening, President Brown and Board members, Superintendent Keesh Cabinet, who will be
[37:08]
a Martinez here with my BTA report for February 10.
[37:13]
I start out with a shout out to the VHS, the Academic Decathlon team, congrats to all the students
[37:19]
and to Coach Rath Felder.
[37:20]
It's a very well-deserved honor, and good luck to them at the state championship, and a long-time
[37:26]
coming for that.
[37:28]
VTAM at with Cabinet on...
[37:30]
Monday, we discussed the additional aid support in class. We talked about TK and K concerns. I want to thank Dr. Barnett for agreeing to meet with the BTA TK Committee next month. We discussed PLC constraints. As you might remember, I brought up the issue a few board reports back, where staff was feeling that we had a lack of collaboration time on our at our sites.
[37:57]
pretty much, we believe, too much direction and not enough time for teachers to collaborate
[38:04]
for site and staff concerns.
[38:07]
I do appreciate Dr. Brown agreeing to try the three one approach, so three of the four
[38:13]
collaborations a month for district direction and one of those being for site directed
[38:22]
discussion.
[38:22]
So, what we did in the past that worked and I'm glad that the district's looking to bring that back to release a 11-it-extent
[38:31]
because it's an overwhelming concern that I'm hearing across the district. So, thank you for that cooperation.
[38:38]
I met with the assistant superintendent, Castillo, and Brown, and CBO San Martín.
[38:44]
Again, very cooperative. I value our meetings. I believe they're very meaningful. We have meaningful progress.
[38:50]
So thank you all of you for that, and we'll continue to do so.
[38:54]
I do want to bring up one thing, though.
[38:56]
And that is a comment on the LCAP staff engagement survey.
[39:02]
So if you look at that presentation, I'm not sure if you have or will.
[39:07]
But on their slides, six, you'll see this little word cloud.
[39:12]
And if you look at the word cloud, there's over 50 words, almost 50 words here.
[39:16]
And the question on this for staff was, how do you feel about work?
[39:22]
And when you look at the word cloud, there's a word that sticks out quite a bit.
[39:26]
And that's the word overwhelmed.
[39:29]
It's a sentiment that I brought to you back in December
[39:32]
where whether you're certificated or classified,
[39:36]
staff is feeling this overwhelming too much on their plate basically.
[39:42]
I mentioned this balanced approach, perhaps if there's one thing that needs to go on that plate,
[39:49]
then maybe one thing can come off or a couple of things can come off to keep this balanced approach,
[39:54]
so that plate doesn't come crashing down.
[39:57]
If you look at the word cloud overall, there's also some smaller words around there
[40:04]
of exhausted and stressed, which is another sentiment
[40:09]
that I talked about in that report.
[40:13]
The good news though is if you do look at the cloud,
[40:16]
you also see some very positive words,
[40:18]
and those words happy, rewarding, excited, good.
[40:23]
And I bring this up because I believe,
[40:25]
we have the best staff in any district.
[40:27]
We go to work with the common goal of student achievement
[40:30]
or happy and love our careers.
[40:32]
We do voice our opinions, but we do a remarkable job with the tools we have and I want this cloud to be a reminder of the good work that we do
[40:42]
But also a caution that we're not robots. We need balance and in my opinion that balance helps keep things moving and it helps keep that student success and everything positive about that
[40:53]
So I just bring that to you as a reminder. Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.
[40:58]
Thank you.
[41:07]
I'm 14.3, receive a report from the Beaumont Administrator's Confidential Management Employee's Group.
[41:17]
Good evening, President Brown, Superintendent Keke, she board members, Cabinet, colleagues and community.
[41:21]
First big congratulations to Beaumont High School Academic Catholic on.
[41:25]
It's amazing any time that we're in a championship, something.
[41:29]
But definitely wanted to give the Mishod out.
[41:32]
Also, I apologize it wasn't able to attend last board meeting, but I also wanted to,
[41:35]
And I know there will be a official recognition, but Shadow Glenview High School and Dr.
[41:40]
Carr for Glenview's recognition as a model continuation school.
[41:45]
The programs that they put in place there are absolutely phenomenal in the team work that
[41:51]
Dr. Carr and her team contribute to is amazing.
[41:56]
Also, I wanted to thank you again for your continued support of Beaumont's CTE programs
[42:02]
with the CT showcase, so thank you very much for attending, always really cool to see our kids
[42:08]
leading the efforts and that's really what it's all about. And the final thanks is for the
[42:16]
continued partization of collaboration. Last week there were two days of guiding coalition work
[42:24]
related to our PLCs. The guiding coalitions were comprised of teachers, counselors,
[42:30]
site and district administrators and really emphasize the voice of the teachers in the process
[42:38]
of collaboration at their school sites. And so to see over two days, 150 people come together
[42:43]
and talk about how we can build the strongest and most effective teams possible to support
[42:50]
our students. It was a really, really cool process to see and be a part of. So I wanted to
[42:56]
think board of trustees for their continued support of collaboration throughout
[43:01]
Beaumont Unified. Thank you.
[43:06]
Thank you, Dr. Breyer. I don't have 14.4, receive a report from board
[43:11]
members of the law. Okay, first off I'd like to say because last meeting, we talked to the principals
[43:17]
because they were here. So we'll be listening to you every week, so hello principals. Thank you for
[43:21]
listening. Appreciate you guys. So let's see, the amazing shake was simply that was amazing. I did
[43:29]
get to judge the final round. It was really hard. They all did so great and I make just
[43:37]
to see how they do in Georgia. And it's just really incredible. And then this Friday is
[43:42]
the district spelling bee. I don't know how many years I've been doing this, but I'm looking
[43:46]
forward to that as always. CTA night, CTE night was so good. And as I'm sitting there listening
[43:53]
to Dr. Rire as he's talking to the crowd in the theater, I just couldn't help but well
[43:59]
with pride, just listening to everything that's happening and so, you know, for what it's
[44:05]
worth I'm just so proud of this district and when I go to these things and I just see all
[44:13]
the great things we're doing I can't help but just be like man I'm just so proud this is just
[44:17]
like the best district ever so cool we have so many opportunities for kids so I know I've
[44:22]
talked about this before so anyways and then I saw one of our toses leaving today she said they're
[44:28]
going to have over 200 kids at Sundance.
[44:32]
It was next week that they're out of school.
[44:35]
So just at Sundance.
[44:37]
So that's a lot of kids.
[44:38]
That's very cool.
[44:40]
And let's not forget that March has read across America Day.
[44:43]
I don't know if we talked about that.
[44:44]
And pie days and pie day and March.
[44:47]
So yeah.
[44:49]
So let's don't forget about those two days.
[44:51]
Those are important too.
[44:53]
Thank you.
[45:03]
You're in luck. I have no comments tonight.
[45:08]
And I introduced you without my mic on. Sorry.
[45:13]
14.6, receive a report from Board Member Dr. Lancings of Usher.
[45:17]
Well, you're in super luck tonight.
[45:23]
I don't have any comments.
[45:25]
Except I do have one. I was not here the last meeting, so I want to welcome student representative
[45:31]
Kate in. Welcome aboard. I'm looking forward to seeing you progress and do great things.
[45:44]
I'm 14.7. Receiver report from board member Melissa Williamson.
[45:54]
Congratulations on the academic decathlon again. I know it's always said but I feel bad
[45:59]
like, if I don't say it too, so I'd say it again, I thought it'd chance to talk with Dr.
[46:05]
Breyer at the CTE showcase and one of the things that you mentioned on paraphrasing is just,
[46:14]
and it's obvious, is the fact that I think, you know, every district has CTE, but I feel like
[46:29]
it's not just something else we do and then that's obvious you know it was just so cool
[46:34]
it gets it gets the heart pumping in everything the way that you always introduce them
[46:39]
Dr. Breyer it's you have a true gift for that if you put down your resume yeah
[46:47]
right but it it's cool but it also I feel like it gives them the introduction that they deserve
[46:54]
You know, my son had the opportunity to be involved in some of that and was just so good for him and so I'm just glad that we have a district that prioritizes that and not as like CTE is just like a little bit of a step below, like the regular teachers and that that's not the case, you know, and so I really appreciate that and I think that's why it's so good.
[47:19]
Some of the stats that were given, I'm just a few 12 CTE pathways, seven industry sectors and 11.6 million in CTE grants since 2016-17, which is really just truly exceptional, I had a chance to visit.
[47:41]
I always, I like to go to the, like the Carpentry and the engineering classes and, and that was, it's, it's fun to ask the students questions and hear them explain it and then I asked one of the students a question and then he was like verifying it with his teacher afterwards and I said no, he gave the right answer, it was, it was good, so that's always, always really enjoyable and I appreciate that you putting that on every year.
[48:10]
So, yeah, and that's about it, thank you.
[48:21]
All right.
[48:22]
Thank you, Ms. Williamson.
[48:25]
I don't have 14.8.
[48:26]
Receiver report from Board Member Jeff Brown.
[48:29]
So, again, I'm also super passionate about CTE.
[48:34]
Unfortunately this year I was not feeling well
[48:36]
and I couldn't make it to the CTE event.
[48:39]
And it's one of the things I look forward to every single year
[48:42]
and I'm really, really bummed that I could not make it this year.
[48:46]
I will certainly be there next year.
[48:50]
I'd love to see T.E. showcase even more.
[48:53]
I'd love to see some sort of, I know we do the C.T.E. showcase after hours.
[48:58]
But I'd love to see a celebration of the C.T.E. students in the middle of the school day.
[49:03]
Like we do for the athletics.
[49:05]
I think that would be an amazing thing.
[49:06]
I mean, if we're going to have a rally schedule three or four times a year anyways,
[49:10]
we could do a C.T.E rally. Great big.
[49:12]
You know, put those kids down in the middle of the stadium and put on the big screen all their accomplishments for the year.
[49:20]
I think that would be an amazing sort of balance.
[49:28]
I also wanted to do another shout out.
[49:31]
I know everybody's mentioned the academic decathlon team.
[49:34]
I think it's amazing.
[49:36]
academic cathalon is an incredibly difficult thing for anyone to be
[49:44]
proficient in. I'm in a room full of doctors right now and you guys all have an
[49:50]
amazing specialty. Whatever it is you did your dissertation in you are an expert in that
[49:55]
thing. Okay, but that's a one thing. That's a one thing. You guys are experts in. These kids
[50:02]
And these are kids, these are high school kids.
[50:06]
They have to become junior experts in all of these topics,
[50:10]
and all of these subjects.
[50:11]
It is absolutely phenomenal.
[50:14]
The range that's required.
[50:17]
It's just absolutely astonishing.
[50:20]
And that, and that Beaumont did so well,
[50:23]
is just, it's like Susie said.
[50:25]
We're all just bursting with pride.
[50:29]
So with that, I will close out my comments, don't do.
[50:41]
We do not have any items to re-adjourn to close session for, and I will call for a motion
[50:49]
to adjourn.
[50:50]
I'm moved to adjourn.
[50:52]
I was thinking to buy Melissa seconded by Lance,
[50:58]
any discussion, hearing none, call for the
[51:00]
vote.
[51:16]
Motion carries.
[51:16]
Meaning is adjourned at 656 p.m.
