Craig said is very overwhelming tonight
[29:56]
spent a long time coming for 40 years
I'm here
[30:03]
and Craig mentioned about my dad would
be 25 years in April but he would have
[30:11]
been the mayor in the barbel mark I know
he's looking down and here with us
[30:18]
tonight also with the election I have a
motto with them and I have different
[30:28]
flag to them face family and friends and
um without those three the paid family
[30:36]
and friends I want to be sitting here
tonight and through the elections and of
[30:43]
allotment on and I thank my family for
their love their support and their
[30:51]
encouragement and for being there for me
it really means a lot and with my face
[30:59]
everyone to use it without them how I am
with church with my church family very
[31:06]
important part of my life and I thank
father Peter for taking time tonight to
[31:12]
be here he is the pastor is named Joakim
is my spiritual leader and also a print
[31:18]
and I thank them for being here
[31:25]
and I consider myself very fortunate for
the number of friends that I have and I
[31:33]
think that's very evident with tonight
with the turnout and I think through one
[31:39]
they helped get me here to where I am
today and I think back of this journey
[31:45]
that we were on and I think started out
with one of the fundraisers it was
[31:50]
pouring rain some of the largest
turnouts we had we had our function at
[31:55]
Belmar Lake his board way at Port and we
probably had more people that we ever
[32:01]
had him and we fri had the largest
turnout tonight for reorganization
[32:05]
meeting in Belmar and what's it going to
do to my so they say that's good luck
[32:14]
medically I'm taking it I thank everyone
for being here supporting me and I'm
[32:22]
looking forward to the next four years
and it's like the plaque I received when
[32:28]
I retired and says I'm not retired
I'm just beginning
[32:34]
[Applause]
[Music]
[32:42]
for the next four years and I consider
myself so fortunate that coming on board
[32:49]
and being the mayor to be surrounded by
the council that I had and that's a very
[32:57]
important part you know that you can
work together and see the way to get
[33:02]
things accomplished you know and I
appreciate everyone being here and
[33:07]
looking forward to it
you know I'm going to be here and
[33:11]
whatever you need just let me know and
hopefully we're going to have a lot to
[33:15]
show for a good team that we got working
here thank you everyone for being here
[33:20]
and we'll begin with the rest of the
meeting young Canadians 11 I'm sorry I
[33:33]
have to acknowledge one person is here
and I would feel bad really bad if I
[33:38]
didn't do this I was so excited to bill
[33:42]
forgot um as you all know earlier
tonight it was announced that this
[33:48]
meeting is being recorded live streaming
it's going to go on the YouTube channel
[33:52]
so you can watch it at the residents
leisure I would like to say it was our
[33:57]
idea but it was not council inspector
you stand up who say no coin fair's fair
[34:10]
[Music]
[34:14]
we were able to get this done but it
wasn't our idea council inspectors idea
[34:20]
and credit has to go where credit should
go and I can I congratulate you
[34:27]
I was unfortunate in timing because in
life I believe anyway the timing is
[34:34]
everything you have to be in the right
place at the right time good ideas after
[34:37]
you present it at the right time and
unfortunately at the time it wasn't the
[34:42]
right time but I want to acknowledge you
sir for your insight in directing us
[34:48]
that way and I would feel it would be
unfair not to acknowledge even that way
[34:55]
so on behalf of all of us to caftans
everybody out there that's watching um
[35:00]
this was your baby and I just want to
congratulate you for bringing that to
[35:06]
the table
[35:10]
