[1:11] public meeting law. Adequate notice of this meeting was advertised in the

[1:15] Herald News on January 9th, 2026. Copies were provided to the local news media

[1:20] and posted continuously in the municipal building. A copy of this notice

[1:24] available to the public and on file in the office of the municipal clerk. As

[1:28] per state fire code, I am required to acknowledge that there are two emergency

[1:32] exits in this council chambers. The main entrance which you enter through and a

[1:36] secondary exit to the left of where I am seated. If there is an emergency, walk

[1:41] orderly to the exit. Exit through the door, down the stairs, and out the

[2:12] um mayor for the um tribarrow first aid squad. Their uh

[2:19] calls for February were 145 calls. Year to date,

[2:26] 296. Um Chararo took 109 calls. They missed

[2:33] 12. Um they were at 90%.

[2:37] All calls were um

[2:42] all calls total calls for the county were 75

[2:48] and um they did mutual aid calls to Pmpton Lakes, Riverdale and West

[2:54] Milford. Calls per town were Butler were 55, Bloomingdale 46, and Kennel on 33.

[3:02] Um they have their pancake breakfast um on Sunday the 22nd from 8 to 2.

[3:13] Um and um it's free to attend the uh vendor fair which will um be at the um

[3:22] St. Anony's and their beef steak is on April 18th at Fireman's Hall. for the

[3:33] um

[3:37] Bloomingdale Senior Center. Um all events are being held at the fireman's

[3:42] hall. Um they're listed, everything is listed on their uh website and um their

[3:50] trips are also listed on their website as well.

[3:55] And that's all I have.

[3:59] » Question on the first day squad. They 90% of the alarms that that they are

[4:06] called out to they're they're making. I'm just not sure.

[4:21] date 296. Char had 121 calls. They took 109, missed 12, they made 90%.

[4:30] This is from from Gail Dunlop. All calls were 34 and duty calls were 75.

[4:42] » We did mutual aid calls to that's how she breaks it down. They have

[4:48] a huge report, but then when they give it to me, they break it down.

[4:56] just shows that the first aid, first responders between county and tribal are

[5:02] very busy. >> Yeah.

[5:03] » Um because I listen to a lot of their calls because they have a radio and um

[5:08] it's amazing. They'll get three, four times a day and I don't hear county

[5:11] calls because it's a different frequency. But if they're responding to

[5:14] that many plus what most tribals respond to, it's a busy um three towns um for uh

[5:27] » just one item for Tribal Little League player evaluations are this Saturday

[5:31] beginning at 9:00. The boys will be at the um the the field over here um at

[5:40] Anderson Field and the girls for softball will be over at the Walter T.

[5:49] staggered for for whichever level they're at. But starting evaluations is

[6:10] » Uh, so this past weekend I was joined by members of the Bloomingdale Police

[6:14] Department as well as members of the Bloomingdale School District. We

[6:19] participated in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics down at seaside. It was

[6:44] is Propo. Uh, doors open at 6:00 over here at the environment hall. Um,

[6:53] so far they're doing pretty good with selling the tickets, but they will be

[6:55] continuing to sell tickets out the door for those who haven't been able to

[6:58] purchase tickets uh by going into the library. Unfortunately, they still don't

[7:03] have link set up that they're still working on that. Um we have uh

[7:11] public events we have coming up April 4th is our uh Easter egg hunt bourbon.

[7:17] We have our tribal uh little league parade on the 11th

[7:24] » and fishing derby on the 18th. >> April 18th.

[7:32] » a couple things. the senior center uh

[7:37] renovation. Uh they poured the floor two days ago. So the new floor is in waiting

[7:43] for it to cure. Then they'll start to button everything back up. Walls will

[7:46] seal on that new floor down. So moving right along there. Met with the dock guy

[7:53] at Bogue Pond today. He's going to get us a couple of quotes and a couple of

[7:57] different scenarios of what we can do up there uh with that grant money that's

[8:02] left over. We have a meeting on Friday uh with the

[8:06] engineer and contractor and DPW look at that chestnut

[8:10] culbert down there of chestnut and van dam to start that project kind of like

[8:16] what we did up at uh Star Lake. So hopefully get that one off our off our

[8:21] books as well. And then tomorrow night is the master plan meeting at the fire

[8:26] hall open to the public. Obviously the members of the council are welcome as

[8:31] well and that's from 6:00 to 9:00 starts at 6:00 6 to 9 at the by

[8:47] » Yes, Mr. Mayor. I just want to report that following the last meeting after

[8:52] adoption all all of the affordable housing ordinances and resolutions

[8:57] everything has been uploaded to the program and the burrow of Bloomingdale

[9:02] is in compliance. We're just waiting for the final order.

[9:06] » Okay. Um, for me, just so that the the public knows, um, I've heard some

[9:11] chatter regarding, um, Main Street development, and I'm sure it'll be

[9:17] talked about tomorrow night with the, uh, master plan, uh, specifically the

[9:22] post office area. We are in constant communication with the developer and the

[9:28] developer's attorney, and Mike has reached out several times to see the

[9:32] progress on that. It's a slow process with this developer. Um I know he has to

[9:38] they have to go before the county to get uh permission from there. There's a lot

[9:42] of steps that have to take place before they um before they can break ground. So

[9:47] I know it's it looks horrible and I'm in total agreement with that. But anytime

[9:52] you're doing a major project, there's a lot of steps other than what we approve.

[9:56] They have to go before the county. I'm sure there's some D permits. There's um

[10:02] hookups for water. There's hookups for sewer. Um all utilities, the gas line

[10:07] and all that stuff has to be prepared before they start breaking ground. So,

[10:11] it is a long process, but um hopefully we'll we'll know more, but I can just

[10:16] tell you that Mike is constantly reaching out to their attorney primarily

[10:21] to see the progress that they are making down there. So, it's not a project

[10:25] that's being forgotten about. We are working with them to make that job

[10:28] happen. All right. Um, and also down by Lena's

[10:34] you'll see a fence was put up and it keeps kept on falling down through our

[10:38] property maintenance officer. He's been in constant touch with the owner and now

[10:42] they permanently cemented the fence in the ground today. So when the high winds

[10:46] come, they won't be falling over on top of the sidewalk any longer. So we are

[10:50] looking at everything that's going on in town. Um, it's nothing's being

[10:54] overlooked. Okay, that's pretty much it for me. Um,

[11:00] first a squad. Um, their beastike. I am attending. I believe Mike's going that.

[12:22] County historic preservation grant application for the Bloomdale Museum. As

[12:26] we stated, I think at our last meeting, we are applying for $100,000 grant to

[12:31] refurbish um the museum down on Boston Street to take over the garage area to

[12:37] expand the museum. Um Tom Riley's down there every Saturday and there's people

[12:41] that are coming down to see it. So, the museum's a great um

[12:47] asset to our town and our town's history. And Tom wants to expand it. I

[12:51] know he has how many banners? >> 70 something.

[12:54] » 70 70 something veterans banners that he wants to hang inside the museum, but he

[12:59] needs more space. So, we're applying for this grant hopefully and we'll be able

[13:03] to expand the museum um internally. We're not going to put an addition on.

[13:07] It's just to make the garage area presentable and make it part of the the

[13:11] total museum. So, they'll have the entire building. All right. Um, do I
