[2:21] We've been running two separate projects, things have been going really well, and in the

[2:28] addition area, we are switching meters over from the old meters that are primarily in the

[2:33] back of law to the new meter bits that are in the front of the law.

[2:38] On the addition, we are using, we're just moving your old meter across for right now so

[2:44] but the radio redeequipment will still keep reading on the

[2:46] else more towns on their equipment.

[2:50] And then our plan is, at the end of June, we'll go through

[2:53] and we'll swap everybody over to the new meter and the

[2:56] radio system and then at that point, starting on July,

[3:02] everything is in portable bill, or be read at

[3:05] mill through Brooklyn SSD, rather Brooklyn tap line

[3:10] and else more towns.

[3:11] So that's kind of the, the goal is to be ready for a clean transition July 1.

[3:16] There's a couple of reasons for that one, it coincides well with wrapping up the project.

[3:22] And then two, it also coincides well with the turnover of the fiscal year for us.

[3:26] So that's kind of what we're aiming for.

[3:30] The new meters that will be out there are radio read.

[3:33] So those in the addition, you've already had radio read meters that will be similar to what you've had in the past.

[3:40] and both on the top one side of the B radio,

[3:43] so you don't have to stop out there reading them every single month.

[3:50] And then just one other thing to note with the Special Service District.

[3:54] So it was created with two services allowed.

[3:57] So one is to provide drinking water.

[4:02] And the other is to do trash collection services.

[4:05] We were setting out the drinking water side first, and we'd anticipate maybe later this year, next year, the trash services would be available

[4:16] on, you know, not in the future meetings, but just kind of a reminder, past public hearings and meetings, that's the two services that were created.

[4:29] Today's public area is focused on the water rate structure, what we're proposing.

[4:34] The rate of structure, the base fees, and really the escalation rate for 10,000 gallons,

[4:44] it's largely based on how the tap line is filled in the past.

[4:48] This was included in your letter.

[4:50] We would love to hear some feedback and opinions and conversations as to how this kind

[4:57] of effect you should be, but you might want to consider as well.

[5:02] The base fee would be $33 a month, which, as I understand, it might be a little bit more than

[5:08] the base fee that the additions had in the past.

[5:10] But I think you've got a base fee plus the fire fee that's kind of been factored in.

[5:15] And so we've tried to keep it, so it's very close to what you've had in the past.

[5:22] And the benefit of all of this is we'll have to brand new systems.

[5:26] And we're looking at like a 60 to 70 year lifespan on the infrastructure that's going in the ground right now.

[5:34] You're going to be completely brand new from top to bottom with zero death.

[5:38] It's a really, really good spot.

[5:42] You'll be able to save some money for future projects.

[5:47] You're really starting off better than what most communities

[5:51] are right now that have been around for a long time.

[5:55] It does not have any debt.

[5:56] Here's some examples of, you know, if you use zero gallons,

[6:02] the base rate for active and inactive meters

[6:06] is proposed to be the $33 a month.

[6:09] The reason for that is the Brooklyn SSD has an obligation

[6:13] to pay else more town for the water services.

[6:17] Part of that there's a base rate that the SSD will pay

[6:20] else more town to maintain that contract moving forward.

[6:25] There's also a cost to the infrastructure, maintenance,

[6:28] and operation moving forward.

[6:30] So whether you use water or not just

[6:32] to be able to have that opportunity at the time

[6:35] that you choose to use water, there's a cost, so that's why the $33 will be charged to

[6:42] everybody is kind of a proposal. And then for example, if you use 10,000 gallons of water

[6:48] you could expect a bill of $45.50, use 20,000 gallons and be $60.50. And so on. So if you

[7:05] reviews. So you use almost zero last couple of months.

[7:11] For example, like me and my family,

[7:17] I've got three little kids, so my wife and I had three little kids. We average about

[7:21] four or five thousand gallons per month in the winter. In the winter. We've got

[7:26] So I don't, you know, if I'm not watering outside, I'm 4, 5,000 gallons, if I water outside, I'm close to 10.
